Stayed in one of the “hotel” rooms couldn’t fault it! But after that what a joke! Went into the bar at 6.30pm table booked at 7.15 pm, asked to put the drink on the table to be asked what table I was on and as I didn’t know because I wasn’t on a table total confusion so just paid! Generally the service is terrible the guy was wondering outside with food going from table to table to find out whose it was! Has the fish cake to start very average and I had ordered the pie, but the guy came to the table with Gammon when I asked what’s that he said oh you ordered the fish and chips I said no I ordered the pie and off he went! It could be so nice but as others have written it’s a joke at the minute! When the pie eventually arrived it was just passable, the food here used to be so good! Just tried to give me someone else’s desert!!!! I didn’t order one just paid and left!!

Booked a table for 8pm, came at 8 minute past 8 and no kitchen staff... Earlier no fish or oat milk at lunch. I mean fair enough it’s a bank holiday but a heads up would’ve been nice as we were guests at the hotel. We’ll try again tomorrow and see if our experience improves.

As bad as I remember. Disinterested staff, bland beige food, non existent service, no obvious management. Winner of the venue with the most potential and the least quality for the 10th consecutive year. 🏆 🏆 🏆 🏆 🏆 🏆 🏆 🏆 🏆 Darwin Dundonald pls try harder. When your staff are outside having a snowball fight instead of clearing plates, there’s probably an issue.

Staying at the resort we decided to eat here twice. Both meals delicious and good value. Very pleasant setting and comfortable environment. We ate on ‘Steak Night’ and the quality of the food was great with a nice bottle of wine. Loved the chocolate torte with orange sorbet, highly recommended. Must note the friendliness of the restaurant team. Lovely people who looked after us beautifully. Thank you.

I booked a table for lunch about two weeks before attending with my elderly parents, as a mother's day treat. After a 45 minute drive, we arrived to be told that most of the kitchen facilities were out of action due to work being done. This meant that only sandwiches, ciabattas, and chips were available. This was not what we wanted to eat so had to leave and find somewhere else to eat. I feel that the kp club could/should have contacted me prior to my arrival to inform me of their limitations, so that I could have saved a journey

Had a brilliant time lodge was clean,warm, needs tlc, restaurant served lovely food. Great time ,within 30 mins of York and surrounding areas, great location, will visit again.

We had checked before our visit regarding dogs in the retaurant and were advised they were only allowed in the bar. Not long after we sat down and ordered our food a table was seated about ten feet away with two dogs. They barked all through our meal and ruined our dining experience. Unbelievably, the owners also fed them from Tupperware bowls under the table. We asked the server (Jordan) why dogs were in the restaurant. He said something about the area was part of the bar even though it is quite clearly in the restaurant. We also asked him why he was patting the dogs and then serving food, causing a high risk of cross contamination. We found Jordan very sarcastic and his manner not suited to hospitality. His regular wide open mouthed yawns without covering his mouth were also something too see as was him putting his shoe up on serving equipment to tie his laces! So in short we or our family spent no more money in the restaurant. If you are going to be dog friendly be truthful with people when they ask. This way anyone with allergies, phobias or who simply does not want to spend their dinner with two drooling and barking dogs can make a choice not to visit your establishment.

Just played golf, which was very enjoyable. Sat outside the clubhouse and had to go inside because if the number of wasps on the balcony area. This has happened twice before when visiting for lunch with my wife where we have had to move inside. I have been told that pest control are 'here all the time', yet nothing improving. 2 families have just come in whist writing this review. Won't be returning until this issue is resolved properly. Which is a shame as I love the venue, food and service.

After reading bad reviews we were more thank Impressed with our stay it was fantastic beautiful accommodation everything was what you needed. Surrounding area’s were beautiful. The food in the bar was very reasonable and good definitely be back

Had booked to come here. But having just read there allergy menu will be cancelling. My son has a nut allergy and just about every meal lists may contain on almost every allergen. So disappointing and such laziness. These allergies are not a diet choice but are life threatening.

The first time my wife and I have played here and we really enjoyed the Course. Well kept fairways & greens although some of the bunkers were full of water from the previous day’s heavy rain. This did not spoil our enjoyment. We will certainly play here again. Ben McAllister the golf pro was very friendly & helpful. A very enjoyable day!

I loved the staff, facilities and the food! Staff went out of the way I asked for a microwave that wasn’t included as I needed to sterilise my babies bottles and they got me one and a travel cot without asking! Can’t fault them! Special mention to Libby in the restaurant goes out of her way for her customers and such a friendly person. Playing with my baby as well. Goes over to tables and talks to the customers not just asking how you are. Don’t see that much these days!

Stayed in the pods which were clean and relaxing had our evening meal in the restaurant where the food was good and service excellent as they were very busy at the time. Big shout to Thomas who looked after the 6 of us and was really pleasent and helpful.

Went for a meal here, had fish and chips which was okay but the service more then made up for it. Have to give a special shout out to Chris who was fantastic to us, gave our young ones a really personal and happy experience, the kids loved him.

Lovely setting and nice staff but my Fish & Chips was poor. It looked the part but the fish not good grey & crumbly. Very disappointing. Hoping for better if we go back. Kids Pizzas looked ok to be fair.

6 of us stayed 3 nights over the weekend. Excellent lodge overlooking the golf course. Everything you needed was provided and the hot tub superb! All rooms are en-suite and very comfortable. 3 of us enjoyed 2 rounds of golf and enjoyed a relaxing drink...

Visited the restaurant on Saturday evening menu quite good asked what the soup was told cauliflower when sat at table told soup was wild mushroom and tarragon which my father ordered what arrived was bright green pea soup told basically you get what the chef makes no apology or offer to change it by the staff

We visited here last Saturday and from booking right through to leaving, our experience was faultless, friendly staff, stunning venue and food was gorgeous. Will definitely return!

Stayed in one of the Hotel Lodges with our own hot tub.

Fantastic weekend with old school mates such good fun lots of laughing, the lodge was lush perfect for our trip. We all went for spa treatments the facial was amazing the massage had a lot to be desired. Disappointing.

I attended a private function and stayed overnight. Function first - cuisine wonderful, service excellent. HOWEVER the rooms were in lodges situated within the extensive grounds and not all had parking. Walking to and from the main building in ice and snow was not acceptable. No help offered with luggage. Neither was anyone allowed to charge to their room so I had to return for cash. Staff not overly helpful.

We were told we were squeezed in upon booking and also told at check in to book to avoid disappointment, more like book to be disappointed.

We booked here for ease and so we didn't have to drive. Wish we had driven. The chicken on all dishes was dry. the vegi option was a joke, the sauces were average, wish we had ordered takeaway

Stayed here last night. Room was nice but needed some TLC and for £200 was very overpriced. We both felt a bit let down. Wall paper coming away, cracked grouting in the bathroom, vanity unit damaged, bed side tables marked and scratched, no door mat so walking mud into the room, lots of dirt down the side of the bath. Also two very small and uncomfortable chairs to sit with plastic glasses to drink from. All very standard and normal for most accommodations but when paying £200 a night we expected a bit more then we got.

We were booked for a morning tee time and got there early so decided to have a breakfast . What a treat ! Excellent continental and cooked breakfast . Proper bacon to boot. The staff were very welcoming .

I held an event at the KP club in October 2018. Everything went perfectly on the night - nothing could have been better. The food was so good we ran out - but the team made a special effort to prepare something for those who had missed out without any hesitation.

With a meat eater, vegetarian and vegan in toe, the glasshouse caters for all tastes. Accommodation was first class and the party of 8 had a VERY relaxing break. Highly recommended.

The Golf course was in very good condition and is a very good course to go round. The bar and facility's was very good aswell.

Food rather ordinary but reasonable quality.

We upgraded to DBB whilst staying at KP. The staff were young and in experienced, we were given no steak knife, raw chips, no vanilla ice cream to serve with brownie, left to carry our own purchased bottle to the table and no one checked if our meal was ok. I explained all the issues and was offered 10% discount from my extras (steak sauce, side and wine) not the full booking!

We waited 3/4 hr for a sandwich, when we asked where it was we were told we would have to wait another 1/4 hr it wasn’t even busy so we asked for a refund and left.

Sitting outside looking over a superb countryside view drinking wine and eating fine food was the order of the day for our Friday lunch.

Had a lovely lunch and drinks here today, the service was excellent, food absolutely lovely and the views were gorgeous. The weather was on our side and we sat outside enjoying the beautiful weather and scenery in a very relaxed atmosphere will definitely recommend the KP club to friends and family and will be returning.

Was slightly apprehensive after reading some reviews but booked a lodge here for our sons 21st. Wow lodge 35 was amazing! Ideally situated between hole 8 &9 of the golf course, which meant we got to see them play a little!

Could not have asked for a better day!! All of our guests loved the day.

Absolutely gorgeous food, me and my boyfriend both got ribeye and it was beautiful cooked. Chips, onion rings and side salad were delicious. The meal would have come to around £60, however when I asked if the staff could bring my boyfriend a birthday drink, they did it for free and it was amazing!! NATHAN was especially amazing, very attentive, funny and helpful; he made our evening. Thank you very much!!!! ❤️

I stayed at the hotel as part of a wedding party. When I made the booking with KP I was never informed the check in was 3pm (pretty difficult to manage when the wedding was midday) so was forced to leave my luggage in the bride's room...which had broken sliding doors and the handyman had to secure with a bike lock! Later that evening when I eventually gained access to my room the heating was impossible to turn down or off, which meant I did not sleep at all. Breakfast I found out was something I had to pay additionally for and was shabby and have honestly had better from a budget hotel. When I complained to customer services they said it was the bride's responsibility to inform me of the check in time (nope, I made the booking with KP), they refused to respond to the broken sliding doors and they claimed the heating had been left on to "dry wet towels". Why on earth was I given wet towels?! They did not address why the heating was faulty and unable to be turned off. I was also told that a room was available to store luggage and to get change in, this information was never given to me at all. Shabby hotel and even worse customer service. My advice? Book in York and pay for the taxi. Shabby hotel and clearly only bothered about maximising profits.

Stayed here and eaten on both nights, food was lovely, staff very friendly and we were looked after. Some dishes a little expensive but the views and service make up for this.

Stayed at KP for 1 night on the 14th April for my partners birthday. We stayed here last year and loved it! Sadly the same can not be said for this year. Set in lovely, peaceful surroundings. Upon arriving in the lodge it was very warm and too was our room, the window had been open before arrival, there was a thermostat but it did not seem to work as the temperature would not cool down. There were no instructions on how to use and the room fluctuated between 22 and 25 degrees which is far too warm, thankfully the temperature dropped during the night but it was still far too warm. The room was alot smaller than the previous year so was disappointed by that. The walls next to the window had marks along them and a stain on the carpet. There was a lovely chair in the corner but when sitting on it there was a 'foisty' smell to it. The room it's self is very modern and lovely decor, however looking out of the window we had no view, only of the cars parked infront and other lodges. We visited the Glasshouse on the evening, the food was lovely but the '8oz' ribeye steak was more like a minute Steak very thin and not what expectes, it was tasty but not worth the money. We had to wait around half an hour after our plates were cleared for the bill as no waiters were coming near our table and we did not want to shout across the room. We returned to our room to sleep, the mattress was too hard and with the heat of the room it was very uncomfortable and both of us had disruptive sleep due to this. The walls should be more sound proof as we heard the people coming in below us who were very loud and kept us awake. I woke up the morning afterwards very tired. We had payed for breakfast when booking the room, it is not a buffet style like the previous year, you order off the menu. We both ordered the full english and again dissapointed with what we recieved very small and a bowl on beans on the plate to make it look like the plate was full. Unfortunately we will not be staying here again, it appears the standards have dropped alot since the previous year.

We visited as a large family group and booked out a few lodges. We had lodge number 1. It was extremely tatty and worn out compared to our family staying in other lodges. Some blinds were broken, the door handles to the patio were broken, the laminate floor boards had huge gaps in them and the floor looked water damaged, the windows were filthy so we couldn't see the lovely view and the thermostats were disconnected to the heating and the room temperature was 24C ( on the baby monitor) which is far too hot for a room. There was no cafetière and when we asked for one they said they don't supply one. When asked why they supplied the coffee to go into one would in not be sensible to supply the cafetière they agreed to supply one ( it came the next day after they went to the shops to buy one).

As title suggests my thoughts when i first arrived were wow this looks amazing, the reception looked lovely and the food smelled very nice.

Had a nice mid week break. The Cabins were very modern but equipped with the very basic of utensils and kitchen equipment. We ate breakfast in the restaurant once which was basically uneatable. Nice place but not worthy of the price tag..

Visited for lunch and ordered two burgers and one medium rare 8oz rib eye steak. Waited 30+ mins for food to arrive. Burgers arrived and looked great . Steak was so thin it was more of a minute steak ( probably the ones they use in their sandwiches) and WAS NOT a ribeye as well as being over cooked for my preference. When I went to

Lovely spot, new owners and menu now and can’t say it’s as good, staff are slow and £10 for a double G&T; in East Yorkshire is obscene. Food was okay although! 4 star review was propped up by the fact it’s a lovely view.

Myself and 7 friends booked the KP for an overnight stay in one of their lodges, and what a pleasant stay it was. We had booked 4 rooms and managed to get our rooms in the same block.

We're staying at KP in May as part of a wedding party and thought that we'd drop in for lunch on the way back from the reception venue. The food was great and the service couldn't have been better. Nathan was attentive and responsive in just the right amounts!

We visited with our grown up daughters and had a relaxing lunch in a modern setting with a good ambience. Nathan looked after us and was efficient without being intrusive. The table was well presented and clean.

I didnt expect much from this restaurant. How wrong I was!! Plenty of very good staff to help out. The seats were very comfortable and the tables well laid out. There were 5 and a little one of us. We had a 3 course dinner at 6pm. None of us were dissapointed. Overall it was excellent food and made our stay great. Just before we left 3 days later we called in for bacon and sausage sandwiches and coffee. Once again terrific. My grand daughter had 3 pancakes and maple syrup. She ate the lot before I had finished my sandwich. I have no hestitation in recommending this restaurant, they must have a great chef.

I’m very lucky, I’m married to someone who trained as a classic French chef before we met, and probably part of the secret of our long and happy marriage. But it has meant that eating out is something we’re comfortable with and like to do it quite often, which means if we want to do something special, we can be quite fussy. We may have been together for decades, but our kids are only 6 and 10, and the 10 year old has a very mature attitude towards food, the kids menu is just not exciting enough (hooray for the younger “plain food only” daughter, or we couldn’t afford to go out to eat ever!!).

We came for light lunch and it was beautiful food, we all had crayfish/prawn sandwich and sticky toffee pudding for dessert & everything was so nice and well presented, staff were very friendly ,polite and helpful..especially the young man called Kendall !

We booked a luxury villa which unfortunately didn’t get anywhere near to expectations. Resort facilities are poor and either aren’t available or not working.Took our dogs but weren’t told prior to visit they weren’t allowed in bar or eating areas.Resort happy to take the fee we paid but not dog friendly resort.So we eat and drank off the resort which seems commercial suicide.Average resort in lovely setting but out of the way, so if can’t use the facilities and or food and drink you have to drive to get your entertainment which wasn’t the idea when we booked.Wont book again.

KP Golf club not only provide brilliant food and fantastic views the staff are always happy and first to start a job whenever it is needed the bar staff are brilliant examples of this Nathan, Tom and Ted are just a few to name always putting the customer first and the lodges are always put to the highest standard by the restless housekeeping staff. Finally the bosses Mark and Dan are professional but also create a great feel as a worker or a guest and I found all this out in 2 weeks working there! As my work experience placement all I can say is that it is an incredible place to be near and a star attraction of pocklington loved every second of it J.Stephenson

we stayed at The KP in the Huxtable Suite for one night for our anniversary and can not rate it high enough, the room was perfect and lovely added touches on the bed.

Generally the changes have been good but felt the restaurant ambience felt soulless. The food was really good but the serving staff have no personality. The food was good but waiting staff just lack personality. When we arrived having booked a table just one couple was dining and to be offered a table in the middle of the room we felt like goldfish in a bowl just one other table had reserved on it. Again I believe this is down to staff who seemed more preoccupied with the football on television. People like to feel comfortable when dining friendliness and good rapport are important and felt this was lacking.

Wonderful afternoon lunch to celebrate a baby shower. Plenty of flexibility to take the afternoon at our own pace. The staff interacted well with my 4 year old. Beautiful food - the scones were lovely! Next time I’ll take more cash as we were advised pdq tips went to the company not the staff.

We had breakfast here after staying in one of the hotel rooms the night before. The coffee I was served was disgraceful, the coffee I had asked for was a cappuccino which is made with costa coffee's beans. If you are representing Costa Coffee and you are providing customers with coffees that should follow there brand standard rules, then all coffees should be the same standard as you would recieve in one of their stores. A cappuccino should have froth on it but the one I recieved didn't. PLEASE give your staff correct training on how to make coffee. Another thing I was disappointed to see was an older woman waitress stood at the bar talking about her personal life which I find extremely unproffesional and inappropriate. If you have got time to LEAN you have got time to CLEAN. If your staff have finished serving a customer, find something productive or helpful to do like cleaning or organising or at least look like you are working. Work is not a social event or a time to nag and complain about your life in earshot of customers. Get some worth ethic.

We'd been invited by friends to lunch here because they'd enjoyed their dining experience. Never having been ourselves, we read reviews and were not looking forward to the experience. We needn't have worried! From the warm welcome on arrival, to the fabulous views, terrific service and great food, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Yes, you have to wait a short time for the food (20 minutes), but as it is individually cooked, this is to be expected. We highly recommend to others, have already booked to go back next month, and have already recommended to friends and family. Our advice to you? Take the negative Reviews with a pinch of salt (forgive the pun!) and go to eat there: you won't be disappointed.

I booked the Huxtable suite with hot tub as a surprise for my boyfriends birthday, we stayed on the 30th Jan 2018. A few weeks prior to our getaway, a friend of mine stayed a The KP and sent me photos of her room, showing me what to expect. Her room looked amazing, they had a bath and shower, a big king sized four poster bed which every suite has and they also had a walk in wardrobe with a big mirror in it. The room looked great and made me super excited for my own stay.

We booked the deluxe millingtom lodge for our anniversary for 2 nights with our 1 year old son. I booked through Debbie Davison who was absolutely brilliant & answered all my questions. She arranged for swans to be made up on the bed out of towels & real rose petals on the bed for a special touch. There was also a lovely card wishing us a happy anniversary on our arrival.

SUPERB!!!! I am soooooo happy to write this review!!! The KP is the most fabulous place to stay, visit or eat IF it's right!!!

We have booked this venue for our wedding next year so we decided to pop along to the fireworks for bonfire night. We treated ourselves and booked the VIP tickets which was a great idea as we had parking right next to the building, amazing food (pie and mash), complimentary drink and a stunning view of the impressive fireworks. The staff were really friendly and helpful. Overall we had a lovely evening! Looking forward to August to get married here now!!! :)

Great weekend, this is our second visit to KP lodges but the first time we have used their Glass House bar and food facilities. Lunch and drinks on Saturday was good, Sunday lunch was amazing, beautiful food and they brought out more veg, gravy and meat as we needed it. Desserts were lovely and finished it off nicely. The staff were fantastic too and couldn’t do enough for us. We’ll definitely be booking our weekend for next year.

A group of us have just returned from a long weekend staying at Kilnwick Percy Resort. It was fantastic. Our lodge seemed to be recently refurbished and was done so to a high standard. Lovely bedrooms although the pillows were a bit hard. Hot tub was lovely and relaxing. Fully equipped kitchen. It was a nice touch to have tea and coffee and milk sachets in the fridge as well as a little kitchen essentials pack - small washing up liquid, cloth, a few dishwasher tablets and bin bags. We didn’t eat in the restaurant but it looked fine. We hope to return some day.

Friendly staff. Immaculate rooms. Hot tub was nice and warm!! Food was amazing and service was excellent and friendly!! Tom was our server all day and he was superb! Will be back!!

Me and my wife visited on our day off for some lunch and a few drinks. The food was excellent and the beer was good.

Booked a table for four at 8pm, seated on time and placed our orders. At 8.20pm the very nervous waiter advised it would be a further 20-25 minutes before we got any food. It then transpired that the big table of 24 people that were booked for 7.30pm were also unhappy. Half of them were still waiting for their starters (it's now 8.30pm) and wanted to know why as they had emailed their food order through two days earlier. No one apparently in charge it was just left to the waiters to handle the complaints. They were trying their best and I felt incredibly sorry for them. Eventually some nibbles were brought to the table free of charge along with the offer of a drink on the house. Not a very ambient atmosphere however the food did arrive at the later time given and it was delicious. Really hope they sort themselves out as this is a wonderful venue in every other way.

Have just returned from a visit to The KP and i can honestly say its the best overnight hotel i have stayed in. We stayed in the suite with hot tub room. On arrival to our room we noticed the bed was soaking wet. We rang reception and they said the would send maintenance but that we should be preapred to move rooms. Within 10 minutes the receptionist arrived at the door and said we could move rooms without even checking there was a problem. We were moved into the same suite but in the next lodge along and with a bottle of chilled prosecco as apology! The room was beautifully decorated and spacious. Double shower and a double sink in the bathroom. The hottub was brilliant. So easy to use and well worth the money.Breakfast was included in the price for us so cant advise what it would cost but it was delicious. Buffet style but high quality. We came for our anniversary and i wouldn't hesitate to come again.

This is a lovely place to visit even just for a cup of tea , had lunch there for can't remember how,any times this year , in my last review I put that they were back to what once was , but yesterday's lunch :( my sandwich was very lacking on filling and the chips were a definite no! I On the p,us side the staff have definitely come into there own and how nice to see a waiter with Tattooson show not sure about what else was on show but not putting that on here not the place , check it out , chill out and relax either lunch or night .

Stayed in a superior hotel room on the first floor of a lodge. Spacious room and very clean. Huge window that was lovely to watch the sun set. Very handy for York - use the Park and Ride at Grimston Bar.

The kp lodges pocklington is a poor excuse for a 'luxury' resort. On arrival the accommodation was not accommodating to the number of guests in the lodge (not enough chairs to sit around table or outside). Dirty and wet cushions outside, green moss on hot tub steps, chips missing off cooker, food splashed up the wall, not to mention dirty bathrooms and tiles, dusty lights, sharp edge on furniture also toilets not flushing properly. Not to mention the poor security onsite after our lodge was entered by burglars in the night and belongings stolen including a car out of the car park! No CCTV around the place apart from in front of reception... beware if you have a nice car you'll wake up in the morning and find key and car gone! Customer service/care they don't know what this no an appearance from anyone to check we where ok! In need of refurbishment of accommodation and updating along with people been able to enter the so called resort and steal things without been seen! Would not recommend. Paid over £1000 for 3 nights - won't be booking again. Consider North Yorkshire instead guys! As for complaints they take around a week to acknowledge them and are uninterested, empathy and general customer care is non existent!

We booked a three bedroomed lodge for a 40th Birthday weekend. On arrival we were advised we had been upgraded due to a problem with the original lodge and also received a £50 restaurant voucher due to some groundworks which was great customer service. The lodge was gorgeous with three good sized ensuite bathrooms and a large open plan kitchen and living room which was fully equipped. The views from the lodges and grounds were lovely and we enjoyed spending our time in the hot tub. We used our voucher for Sunday lunch which was delicious I would recommend a visit to the glasshouse restaurant. The only thing to mention these lodges are advertised to have luxury toiletries but you only get a couple of tiny bottles in the master bedroom which is hardly enough for a party of 5. We all had a lovely relaxing weekend and will be returning.

Me my partner and dog loved it, I play golf and the golf course was in fantastic condition. We went for long walks with the dog and the food was fantastic in the restaurant.

We booked for 4 people having received a recommendation for the Sunday carvery. Despite having booked, we turned out to be the only table in the restaurant - seated on the edge of a function. When we received menu's we asked if there was a carvery available to which we were told (for the first time) that they would not be serving carvery today due to the functions. Had we known this when booking, then we wouldnt have booked. We were then told that they may be able to do us some carvery since we came especially for it, we ordered the food and then waited approx 45 minutes for it to appear. What appeared was a chopping board with a pile of mixed up meats on it (we had each ordered different meats), a few portions of cold veg and potatoes and 4 very dirty plates. We asked if the plates could be changed because they were filthy and we waited 5 more minutes to be brought even dirtier plates! When we lodged a complaint with the young lady she approached what we assume was the manager who just nonchalantly waved a hand at her in an attempt to get her to go away. We proceeded to walk out because we were appalled with the service.TL;DR - Should never of booked us a table among two functions, filthy plates, rude manager, wont be returning.

We spent a night with friends in their lodge and it was super. The chalet was huge - 4 double bedrooms, with a large open living space and a hot tub to enjoy the evening in. There was plenty of space for the the 7 adults. We walked into Pocklington in little over 30 minutes. The golf course on site would be good for golfers (not us), as well as the gym and pool.

I was invited to a wedding here in June and I must say was inspired by the entire setting especially for events. The staff were smart, good-looking and attentive. No request was too much trouble. The food was good British cuisine. The following morning we were woken to some great breakfast. We also stayed for Sunday lunch - which the chef served very generously - again a request for an extra slice of meat was addressed immediately without fuss or frown. I'm planning to visit again soon.

Have visited many times and last night it proved it has gone back to how good it was when it first opened , the food is excellent and varied choice , only downside was most of the staff appeared to be new but experience will come in time , but also they were very customer comesfirst and manners were first class as much as food . Only reason given 4 for service was staff a little unsure on things .I am back next week for third week running so will be interesting to see more staff .

We stayed at the KP and opted for the BB&E so had a set menu to choose from. A good selection, we had the goats cheese and beetroot melts and the home made scotch egg starters. Both were excellent.Main courses we chose the pork loin and the gammon. Both were cooked perfectly and served with brilliant home made chips. Desert was mango ice cream and I had the coffee cup creme brulee which was delicious. Highly recommended.The service was very good, the restaurant very clean. Overall a great meal

Nice venue in the throes of being refurbished The lounge was very tired looking. The meal was lovely but the service was so slow , in fairness the manager did apologise and made an adjustment on the bill The room was clean and tidy although a bit chilly. Can't help weather I suppose. Breakfast was poor. No selection of cereals other than corn flakes, no muesli Hot food was average. Would I stay again maybe as best Near to my business meeting. The hotel has a lot of work to do to improve.
