No gluten free takeaway lunch options available and staff weren’t particularly helpful with picking anything out. Food looks nice, shame I had to walk out empty handed

Pleasant staff. Family visits have been regular for takeaway coffees & cakes. Obviously due to Covid, asked to wait outside as soon as ordered and paid. Have tried different varieties of homemade cakes and they taste great. The main issue is with the random nature of portion size. The cakes are sliced to order. It’s pot luck whether they’re thin and pretty measly by most people’s standards or are what most would agree is a reasonable size (but never ‘generous’). Not exactly cheap either. Happy to pay, as the quality is good but not so much when you never know whether you’ll end up with a wafer thin slice of cake or not. Consistency amongst staff would be good.

Throughout lockdown and beyond, The Kitchenetta has reliably met our cafe needs. Good selection of sandwiches in lovely bread, tasty cakes and great coffee. Staff are very friendly and helpful and the prices are reasonable unlike some other Hyndland cafes. Also sells some amazing kimchi.

. . . . y no lavar a la mañana siguiente! Gracias usted Jenny y el personal.

Friendly service provided strong coffee and some lemon and coconut cake to share. Although I ate it and liked its flavour, the cake split opinion. Other half did not like its texture - she suspected that olive oil was used instead of butter. On reflection, savoury may be the best option next time.

Nice little bijou cafe. Great menu and great staff. But !!! - service is painfully slow - even with three people behind the counter and the cafe half full it take ages to get served. Need to get trained on how to be nice to customers (which they are in abundance - lovely people) but get a move on and get the drinks and meals out pronto - professional standard. Customers will go elsewhere !!!

Came here for a coffee and breakfast pastry. A really nice wee place with friendly service and quality eats. They do a loyalty card which you can get stamped each time you visit. Good coffee and great pastries. Would probably return here more if they had more seating. Highly recommend

I love Kitchen Window! For starters, it is actually a lovely place--quite well lit and bright inside. Something about its positioning seems to also allow for a decent amount of natural light to come in, even on the cloudier, rainy days. They have nice tall white bar stools that reside at fairly long tables (seating about 6 people at one--I think 3-4 at the other two) and another bar at the window with stools that I believe seats another 3. So it is a pretty good space for a small group of maybe a group of 3 or 4, but also very nicely suited for the soloist or duo pair. Though I have never used them, there is a basket with blankets that I understand to be there if you are feeling a bit chilly in the space. But I can't say this has been my experience. There is something about the space and how it has been put together that is quite uplifting and cheerful. It is really pretty spot and thoughtfully designed. The staff are a part of the uplifting experience--they are a lovely group of young women who also offer a welcoming and kind greeting. I've never felt anything but welcomed in Kitchen Window, and always been quite happy to be there. And now to their coffee and pastry...which are DIVINE! Their lattes are a wonderful balance of creamy and smooth--they usually use a double shot, which makes it quite strong in the best way. On the days I need it to be a bit less strong, I ask for just a bit more milk or for a single shot of espresso--they always are quite kind about the request and do oblige. Their pastries are absolutely lovely in more than one way: they are actually quite pretty--beautiful presentation, especially of their tarts and custard filled and berry topped pastry--but they are also delicious! The pastry I generally have with them, I believe, is filo based or puff pastry that is filled with a lovely custard and topped with berries. It's just scrumptious! There are other pastry items look wonderful but I can't comment as I haven't tried them yet. I have also not had their food but admittedly, it looks pretty good. For the most part, I believe everything is pre-made versus made to order. There are a number of salads and sandwiches that they have in their display that are ready to eat. But I think they also do have some hot options--obviously soup--but they also may have some food items made that require cooking and being made to order...I can't speak on that really as I don't know the answer. An added bonus is that there is free wifi. An additional added bonus is that if you are in Kitchen Window, you are in the lovely Hyndland--which is such a wonderful area of Glasgow. So for atmosphere, coffee, and pastry and helpfulness of the staff, I give Kitchen Window an A+.
