This cafe is my favourite in the whole of West Hampstead and serve my favourite sandwiches in the whole of London. Definitely try this joint out, the food will never disappoint.

A great menu that has a mix of the old favourites (special omelette is superb) and some dishes with a Persian slant (think smoky aubergine). The service is prompt and friendly and the food is consistently very good. At decent prices, for North London, too. It's our go-to local.

We came down from 'up north' and came here for the convenience. There were loads of people in (which was reassuring), but despite this we still got served quickly. The food was piping hot and the portions were generous. It is slightly more expensive than in 'the north', but we really enjoyed it. Full breakfast for £7.95 and cherry pie for £4. My Mrs stated 'good quality ice cream'. Thanks

Deliciosa comida con una inclinación turca. Los platos de berenjena ahumada son particularmente buenos, buenos pasteles caseros. Es un lugar realmente amable y de buena relación calidad-precio. Muy recomendable.

Terrific little place - great coffee, marvellous breakfast/brunch food - lots of interesting fare with homemade granola and strained yogurt and a smashing vegetable frittata joining more conventional things like smashed avocado and poached eggs. Friendly folks look after you, and costs are reasonable. Recommended

This small cafe gets everything right. Friendly, comfortable, and really good food. I tried the BLT which was first class. One of us had perfectly prepared poached eggs. An omelette exceeded expectations. I can't wait to visit this place again.

Started going there quite some time ago. When ownership changed I gave it a miss for a while. So, now I am a Super-Regular. Very good coffee and mocha (not too sweet) and THE FOOD. I love a great, full English - bacon is FAB as are the omelette, tomato, toast, mushrooms. However, the Iranian/Middle Eastern food is just excellent. My favourites are the aubergine dishes and the curries. Staff are attentive, it is very clean, the other guests chatty and the kids love it as well. Could hardly be better.

A local secret that is so good you don’t really want to tell anyone... but it is too nice not to. Name change and staff change last year - and I thought one of my favourites would go downhill. It is actually even better and opening hours mean you get to go on sundays. Delicious food, really good prices, really lovely staff (friendly, helpful, but unobtrusive). They will make you something great off menu if they can. All the staples are great (bacon sandwich and special omelette are the best I have had in London) and the daily dishes/seasonal specials are always good. Love this place. Perfect for: late, lazy brunches, catching up with work alone over a coffee, lunch with friends, after school milkshake with kids... any excuse...

Very generous portions - even though the menu is limited it is one of my favourite places for either breakfast or lunch. Or just a brief coffee. They are happy to prepare their sandwiches or lunch dishes, e.g. tart, to take away. Very friendly staff!

I was in this place today (14/5/16) - it seems a really lovel place by whoever set it up. HOWEVER, the staff management really hit me so I wanted to flag to the owner who may not be aware of what's happening when they're not present. There is an open kitchen (so the customers can hear everything) and I was absolutely SHOCKED by how the staff behaved:

De hecho sentir culpable por no examinar la mesa antes de la cocina. Ha pasado un tiempo desde que estuve allí, pero han sido unas cuantas veces y siempre me pareció cálido, con un personal amable y una gran comida y café. La mantequilla de maní y bacon sandwich sigue siendo una de las mejores cosas que he comido!

In the midsts of the glorious houses of West Hampstead this authentic and charming little cafe certainly goes beyond it's calling. The inside is warm with cream walls and books on it's shelves. Like most modern cafes the papers are available to read but you can also stare at the caricatures of minions opposite you and wonder how much you could buy one for. Most of the food is what you expect from a rustic cafe with delicious brownies and granola for you to much on whilst drinking your coffee. However the service is very good and quick once you seat yourself down, and all the dishes are nicely presented. The main meals themselves buck the trend of the modern cafe and are actually healthy with plenty of taste thrown in. My last meal was a lemon chicken sandwich on sourdough infused with pepper, with a side of...salad. But not just any salad, proper Italian salad which is a dark shade of green sprinkled with olive oil. This was a filling meal and didn't make me want desert (well maybe a bit). Altogether this is the perfect rustic cafe to go to if you want to feel awake in the morning and give your body a detox and the same time.

My sister and I 'found' this North London gem by accident last Friday! It literally is kitchen tables, serving delicious home-made and locally sourced food!We enjoyed filter tea (in pots!) with sourdough toast, jam (home made I think) and butter! The welcome was friendly with great service. A lovely atmosphere inside too!

This little cafe in the heart of West Hampstead not only has the best scrambled eggs ever, according to my daughter, but also some of the friendliest service you will find anywhere. Jenny can cook a brownie so good you it makes you want to cry for joy. The only flaw is with such good food and friendly service and such little space it is often full.

I am so often put off by the epithet "homemade".Who says that what food you make in your home is always nice for other people? But at the Kitchen Table I think the very welcoming owner (Jenny?) is the chef baking all the lovely cakes. And if you like cakes and brownies, you have to come here."To die for!!!"Not only that but the scrambled egg is the best I've ever had. This is a small busy cafe (with, be warned, shared tables and wooden bum-unfriendly chairs and benches ..., presumably so that customers don't outstay their welcome) which serves very fresh, simple food. The atmosphere and service is very warm and friendly. And if, like me, you are partial to a bit of proper music from the 1970s (jazz fusion/ funk etc), you will enjoy the background sounds (don't worry it's not very loud). This place is very near my vet...so when the dog's a bit poorly...I have an excuse to get the brownies in (truly the best you'll ever have)See you there.
