Property needs a bit of maintenance investment as it’s pretty shabby in places. The dinner menu pricing is not reflective of quality of the food served. The room next to the pool Room 14, smells strongly of chlorine so avoid this room if you can. However for 1 night stay close to Bath, was ok for us. Location is great and super quiet. Would I stay again, probably, as staff are very welcoming and was fine for 1 night.

Widbrook Grange is absolutely adorable, a converted old farm just on the outskirts of Bradford-On-Avon. Such a unique stay! Everyone was friendly, food delicious (breakfast was included which was awesome), amazing rooms and that pool! We had rented a car so we were able to drive into Bradford (lots of traffic). We enjoyed the Gin Bar and only wish we could have stayed longer!

As a hotel, the stay was decent enough , larger than expected but room (especially bathroom) could do with a bit of updating. Gin bar was a bit of a let down- had higher hopes , service nice but slow and inflexible and lack of seating for a group of 4. While over 200 gins, no menu or pricing unless you asked which was odd. Overall a nice night away but not enough to repeat.

Widbrook Grange was a truly lovely place to stay - well kept gardens, great service and beautiful clean rooms A little bit of TLC needed here and there re bannister leading up to the room but on the whole small niggles that I’m sure can and will be easily fixed - nothing that put us off A truly beautiful gin bar and lounge area too - a very relaxing place

We wanted to book a break advertised in the Waitrose magazine. My wife phoned the hotel on the 1st and 7th October speaking to Allorn who assured us that Amelie would call us. We heard nothing!! My wife also left a message on the 15th, still no response. Awful customer service. Update- As can be seen from the hotel response we were to be contacted by the manager. That was 5 days ago…. Not heard a thing!!!

Wow! Where to start? Claire and the team did a fantastic job helping us have the most memorable wedding day ever in July. Right from our initial visit to Widbrook, Claire went above and beyond to help deliver our dream day. Was always available during the planning process, super responsive and attentive to every detail. We were sold on the beautiful venue which was able to create the intimate atmosphere we had been searching for. The space was versatile enough to cater for any scenario, ceremony room, restaurant, outdoor setting to name a few. The head chef was top tier, understanding the many food allergies and dietary requirements some of our guests had, our guests could not stop raving about the food! We could not have asked for a better wedding day and highly recommend it to any couple tieing the knot!

Great location and price. Very good restaurant meals. Fantastic bed and pillows. Very good staff im restaurant in evening and breakfast. Good size TV (not Smart though) Drive outside heavily pebbled so no access for wheelchairs or those with any walking impairment. Rooms (10/11) desperately need some maintenance. Overkill on what you can turn into a lamp and leaning to tje shabby side if 'shabby'n'chic'

Outstanding tasty and quality produce in the roast. It was Easter, so I had to be lamb. The vegetable accompimants were all good quality and quantities sufficient. Desert had to be done. The service was polite and friendly, and the food came very promptly.

Had a lovely 1 night stay at widbrook grange hotel, very quirky, lovely gardens, the pool and gym really nice it’s a shame we didn’t have time to use them. Breakfast was included in the room price of £60 so excellent price. We booked a cosy room but our room was far from cosy (room15) it was very spacious, huge comfortable bed and pillows, towels were lovely and luxurious, plenty of parking, had a beautiful meal in the restaurant in the evening what more can I say. Would definitely go back if we are in the area.

We got married at Widbrook Grange in May and our day was everything we dreamt of and more. This is the perfect intimate, romantic, wedding venue. Claire the wedding coordinator was fantastic, very efficient, nothing was too much trouble. All the staff were helpful and professional. The rooms are all so unique and quirky, yet comfortable and cosy. The wisteria on the front of the main house was stunning and was the perfect backdrop to our wedding photos. I would highly recommend this venue, it will always hold a special place in my heart!

A wonderful experience at Widbrook Grange! The highlight was the food. All 8 of of our party had exquisite dishes. Starters, mains and desserts were all delicious! The staff are very friendly and helpful. Two beautiful lounges and a stylish bar to sit and relax in before and after your meal. Great to have a swimming pool which was clean and well maintained (if a little cold!)

We were given a Sunday Lunch voucher as a gift, so booked in and had this acknowledged by email. When we arrived at the hotel we were met in reception and taken straight through to an empty restaurant where the receptionist had to then go and find the staff. Clearly they were not expecting us! Eventually a young man arrived and told us to sit anywhere, at which point he disappeared again! Eventually we were presented with menus, and even at this point we had still not been asked whether we'd like anything to drink, despite the fact that the voucher included a bottle of wine as part of the deal. Having managed to take our order, the food arrived VERY quickly, so quickly in fact that it must have been sitting in the kitchen waiting for anyone who turned up. It wasn't freshly cooked and lacked flavour. Not helped by the fact that there were no condiments on the table and we had to ask for some horseradish to go with the beef. The voucher costs £55 for two people to have a one course meal; the house wine is charged at £21 for a fairly ordinary wine, the main meal is charged at £18 for one course. Not good value. I tried to speak to the manager - he was on holiday. What about the restaurant manager - he wasn't there either. Poorly trained staff left unsupervised?? Maybe they only care about their residents?

Went for the full afternoon tea with a glass of prosecco each. Finger sandwiches x 3, fruit or plain scone x 1 with cream and jam, and small cakes x 3 of each per person. Reasonable flavours / taste but not outstanding. Large pot if tea. Good service from the waiter. However we were the only ones in the restaurant so lacked atmosphere. Used a Travelzoo offer voucher; would have liked to pay the full price.

On our first night we chose the Tasting menu. This comprised seven courses all of which were tasty, beautifully cooked and presented. However the portions were really small and we did not feel it was worth the price. The following night we chose dishes from the main menu and again felt that the portions were small. The breakfasts were good and the hot dishes cooked to order. The service throughout was excellent.

We ate at Widbrook Grange during a two night stay.On the first night my wife started with the Goats Cheese and I the Rabbit Ballontine. For the main course my wife had the Lamb Rump and I the Pork Tenderloin.I alone chose the Pear Cake for desert as my wife could eat no more. All courses were excellent as was the wine and the service. For breakfast next day we both had some cereals from the well stocked area and a Full English Breakfast again excellent. For our second evening meal we shared a Fish Variation to start and both had the Venison for the main course. For desert I chose the Trio of Chocolate and my wife the Local Cheeseboard.Once again absolutely fabulous. The wine and the service were again excellent.Breakfast next morning was for me cereals and another Full English and my wife had some excellent Kippers. As stated on the menu's all ingredients are locally sourced and the quality certainly shines through! Looking forward to a return visit.

After reading the great reviews of this restaurant we were disappointed by our experience two weeks ago. There is a limited choice available with a menu heavy on game. The only chicken dish is a salad which isn't ideal in early January. No specials available. The starters are the smallest we have ever been served (amuse Bouche sized) which would be fair enough were it not for the prices (charged£9.50 for one tiny slice of duck). The fillet steak was tasty but the accompanying sauce was so salty it was inedible. The fish was better but still on the salty side. Indeed a heavy hand had been used to season all of the food which spoiled the dishes. Presentation was superb but unfortunately it was a case of style over substance for the dishes we tried.Puddings were nice but here again pricy. The service was good but very slow. Overall, expensive for what it was and very overseasoned. The Kitchen aspires to fine dining but has a long way to go before it gets there. Will not be visiting again.

Taken here as a surprise Mothers Day treat for afternoon tea. I cant believe I haven't been here before as it's on the doorstep. I loved this place and the food we has was excellent. My girls know I'm a little fussy with sandwiches and rang ahead to change which was no problem. Had a gin after too. They brought a few out so ee could smell them. I cant wait to go back.

We ate at The Kitchen as we were hotel guests. The menu was interesting with a good choice. The dining room is pleasant and the same can be said about the staff. It is one of those establishments that sources most of its food locally, which usually means excellent food. It was certainly a very enjoyable meal. If you are staying in Bradford on Avon it is worth the short drive to The Kitchen.

Unfortunately unable to review accomodation, food or service as we were double booked. Apparently landlords wife responsible for this so she was summoned. Landlord then completely ignored us and didnt even offer us a seat let alone an apology, this was left to his wife. She didnt seem well and was apparently in hospital at the time of our booking. She went away, 20 mins later produced £140 to cover the cost at premier inn who had ample availability and she had phoned them. Premier Inn denied any phone calls from Helen. They had one room which went whilst we were trying to book it. Plenty of certificates of awards, shame they are so old and tatty like the pub. I hate being lied to but rudeness, lies and facing a night in the car... Dont book here, disgraceful performance. Tired and niaive, should have insisted they booked it in front of us! Took the edge off Bath Christmas market tbh!

It’s the first time for years that I’ve been for a meal at The Agra. It was always good previously but I was blown away by the experience tonight. The staff were attentive but not intrusive and the decor had been updated and was elegant. The food was absolutely delicious. I had sweet chilli chicken with rice which was wonderful. I was in a group of 4 adults and a child and we all chose a different main course after sharing a selection of starters. Each dish was amazing and only my grandson could manage a dessert. I would definitely recommend this restaurant and will look forward to going back.
