Really good selection of fresh and tasty food. Both ways the menu was similar with some slight changes to the curries available. Breakfast not so good this time, the food was a little picked over and on return to the UK there is no time to enjoy a meal as the arrival is only 1 hour after you are woken up.

Very expensive for the quality of the food but nowhere else to eat unless you get a sandwich/pizza at the Coffee Shop. Just a little too keen to tidy away and reset your table when you’ve only just gone to get a desert and just a blank look when you ask them where your drink is We’ve been many many times on Mini Cruises but decided we will call it a day now

Very impressed. Buffets are usually all about quantity but questionable quality. The buffet on the Pride of Rotterdam ferry had a big variety of different foods. Everything I had was delicious, hot ( except the salads of course ) and fresh. Really good and the staff were very professional and struck up a good rapport with you

Buffet aan boord op de ferry. 25 pond per persoon. Ben normaliter geen fan van een buffet maar moet zeggen dat dit verder prima was. Genoeg te kiezen en goed op smaak dus prima.

Buffet restaurant not really my usual choice, but certainly did not regret this one. Quality of food and choice for the evening meal was exceptional. Staff were charming and extremely hard working.

Travelled on both York and Brugge. York seemed better on both service and food. The Pride of York seems more relaxed in The Kitchen.Great choice and good quality on both nights on board. One or two niggles such as the unpeeled prawns being soooooooo tiny, it would take hours to peel a decent portion. Otherwise, beautifully cooked roasts on both journeys.

Il buffet di questa linea sia a cena che per la prima colazione è degno di nota. Cibi buoi, molto vari e tutto sommato convenienti.

I suffer from multiple food allergies. Although the restaurant was busy the Head Chef personally assisted me to ensure I was fully aware of all the ingredients included in each dish served at dinner and breakfast.

The Kitchen is very good value for money ! The meals range from a Sunday dinner to curry and it goes without saying chips as well !

The choice is reasonable, though, to be frank I`m not a fan of Buffet food, it`s never hot is it ! Soft drinks are included in the price but not alcoholic ones This review is very much needed because no where on the P&O website (or indeed on the internet ! ) does it tell you the price which people might well want to know in advance when deciding what to do for their meals. If booked in advance a 10% discount is allowed and the nett price is £20.50 or £10.00 for kids age 4 to 15, under 4 is free. Buying on the day is 10% more expensive.

Surtout il faut éviter ce ferry P&O. Une catastrophe de l'embarquement jusqu'au débarquement et à bord avec des cabines mini!

On the ferry again but how much was changed to last time. Ate in the Kitchen and was fully satisfied with choice of all the dishes and the tastes were delicious, the last couple of times choices were minimal. The inside standard cabin was exactly what it was, except the air conditioner worked, but we took our own too

We were really apprehensive what it would be like but were pleasantly surprised. We booked the day before to save 10%. And we also booked for the return journey after we had eaten on the way out. The food was cooked well and there was a good choice. Friendly staff. Complimentary soft drinks but the staff don’t point this out, they offer you a menu with alcohol and payable soft drinks on, so if you don’t spot the self serve soft drinks section, you’ll end up paying, which we thought was a little sneaky. The restaurant itself is in need of a refurb though. Whilst clean, it feels very dated and old fashioned. The highlight for us was dessert. The puddings were amazing. Self serve/all inclusive desserts are usually bland and tasteless. The desserts here were fantastic. Chocolate and praline profiteroles, blueberry cheesecake, sticky toffee pudding and apple tart were delicious! And we loved the touch of the tubs of ice cream you could help yourself to - really good quality ice cream too!

Great food - just need a few tweaks as a bit disorganised, possibly if 2nd visit might have been better, things hard to find as its busy and not easy to attract anyones attention for help example brekfast no fried eggs and everyone behind the counter disappeared, they came back 10 minutes later with eggs but by the the rest of the meal was cold.

Fantastic buffet with a whole range of food for every course. The curry for me was the highlight but the puddings were delicious too. Good start and end to our mini cruise. Thanks everyone especially Paul Winteringham who was so welcoming and helpful at all times. P and O make him employee of the month for his excellent service!

Been a few times across the north sea ferry crossing fleet. The food is always plentiful, hot (where appropriate) and stocked regularly to offer as much choice as possible. Prices naturally are inflated as they have the monopoly. However I would recommend this for both dinner and breakfast to compliment the journey to your destination.

Food was OK but appalling service after a family member had a health incident at the pub. Bear in mind how cold it was outside my mother was told to go outside rather than stay inside and keep warm whilst her husband was getting checked over in an ambulance after having 3 fits. Disgusting, the least they could have done was to sit her down maybe give a warm drink whilst she waited for the ambulance people to come back to her as she was upset and worried and wait for them to let her know how her husband was and why he fitted.

A fabulous old school dining experience which you just don't find in Hull these days. A really warm welcome, we were seated in the comfortable bar area for drinks whilst we perused the menu, we gave our order and then after a short period of time we were shown to our table. My two sons had sirloin steak each that were cooked to perfection, I had a fantastic porterhouse steak that was packed full of flavour and my parents both had sea bass. The vegetables do not come with the meal, but this means you can choose what you want, and with the meal being silver served, you decide on your portions. Our table ordered three desserts as two of our party were full. A rather nice end to a great meal. I used the gents bathroom as I believe if a restaurants toilets are clean, everywhere else will be clean and my theory holds true. The toilets were clean, hygienic and smelled fresh. There was a plentiful stock of hand soap and hand towels. This little restaurant is a gem of a find, and it can be quite easily overlooked when walking down Whitefriargate. This restaurant has been going for a good 60 years and so I would hope people go and support this local business so they can look forward to another 60 years in Hull
