Roast dinner was warm & the beef was grisley. Wouldn't eat there again. Went fir drinks there about 3 weeks after and sat in the window bay seats at the front. Absolutely rotten. It used to be a lovely pub but not anymore. Such a shame. Will be using the ramblers down the road instead.

My husband and I have lived in Kingswood for twenty years plus and always enjoyed our fabulous local public house managed by Linda and Barry. To my disbelief I visited at Xmas 2024 after having not been for several years and I couldn’t believe my eyes . The upholstery was so soiled in bar area we had to place our coats on the bench sofas and the toilets were filthy not to mention the waiting and bar staff. A total remake of a rundown public house managed inefficiently by appalling staff. No idea how to be courteous and friendly. The wine menu was non descriptive and the food was cold and looked like it came from the freezer . No wonder none of the locals go there ! Dreadful 😥

Wonderfully decorated pub owned by the Fuller's Pub Group. Unfortunately the decor and lovely setup is let down by a lack of staff and the ability to offer a high level of customer service in a competitive pub market. The mains took 50 minutes to be served, whilst 1 of the children's meal took a further 10 minutes which to be honest wasn't great considering the low number of other customers also dining and high cost of the meal (over £250). Only 1 person seemed to be serving a number of tables, and the food took 4 separate trips to the kitchen to delivered to the table which arrived warm at best. Drinks also took 15 minutes to arrive and no apology was offered. Other pubs over more for less money in the area.

Over 2 hour wait for meal. Had service charge taken off and discount applied. Of those who ordered starters and got them, one was still unnerved. That came out half an hour later when everyone had finished. Hence then main meal was just over a two hour wait. Food average.

Went with 2 friends, all 3 of us thought that the menu choices left a lot to be desired so menu definitely needs overhauling. The food was ok, although not what we would usually order (there's no pork belly, no lamb rump, the beef rib was unavailable and no prawn or seafood pasta - only mac & cheese with truffle yuk) and what is on the menu is overpriced. Our waitress Jess was lovely though. The decor and furniture layout needs upgrading too. Three tables of different shapes were just pushed in a corner together as not in use with chairs lined up along the wall! On the Thursday night that we went, there was only 3 tables occupied which I think says it all. The Spring, Rubbing House, Derby Arms, Blue Anchor etc that I go to regularly are always busy, even mid-week. Sadly I won't be rushing back.

Service was very good, atmosphere is pleasant…but the food really needs to be improved! For the area that it’s in, I’m sure residents of Kingswood would be more likely to go out to eat there if the food was of better quality and better recipes. Ex: the starter board of cold meats, olives, bread….the olives seemed to be from a can, the olive oil/ balsamic mix for the bread dip…the oil did not really taste like olive oil….or it was a very low quality oil 👎. The bread was toast bread…..The chicken rice dish….the rice was mushy and tasted like a box ready to make side dish. The chicken was ok. The pasta was tasteless with too much sauce. Sorry we were very disappointed in the meal. But we liked the decor and atmosphere.

The birthday celebration lunch for our son was a disaster. The chicken in the Caesar salad was so overcooked and tough, the fish in the fish and chips was dry, the presentation of my son's chicken risotto was so poor, colourless and unappetising. After the bill was presented we waited, and waited for our waitress to return. In the end I, the customer, had to seek her out only to find her serving behind the bar. I have never, in any restaurant I have visited, had to find the server in order to pay the bill. Fullers - you need to employ more staff. PS. Thankfully, our server was great.

If I could of gave this pub a zero star I would have. I booked a table 4 weeks prior to turning up on Sunday 17th December. As my sister is away at Christmas with my young nephew and niece we was going to use this day as our Christmas get together and exchange presents and have a Sunday roast. 40 minutes prior to turning up we was contacted by the manager stating they are running low on Sunday roasts and beef was not available. It was a shame as a few of the family members didn't eat chicken or nut roasts. It was also too late to book anywhere else being a week before Christmas. We asked the manager via telephone can we use the ordinary menu and order from that he stated that would be fine. Therefore we looked online and found plenty of choices of food so we stuck to our plan. Upon arriving we was seated down and given a sunday menu with a very limited food choice complete different to the menu online and what the manager told us. We brought this to the managers attention and asked him why he didn't state to us its a set menu and it differs from the online menu. He shrugged it off and his face spoke a thousand words. He clearly didn't care about our custom and come across very unapproachable and rude. We then decided to order from the very limited menu. Three of the guests ordered burgers and to my horror the waitress informed us that they can only cater for two of our party as they have run out of burgers. I then tried to order pie of the day for me and my wife and was informed they have also run out of this. This literally left just fish and chips on the menu I didn't dare to ask if that was available. We then left the pub as they clearly have a servere issue going on with stock of food. I have never been to such a poorly run establishment to run out of food 1 week before Christmas is beyond a joke. To add fuel to the fire the Manager was being very unapproachable and unsympathetic towards us. We tried to explain to the manager our concern and he clearly had a chip on his shoulder and having a bad day. I really can't believe this establishment was as busy as it was if this is the way they treat clients. This could have been dealt with very differently by the manager just a simple apology would of gone a long way. Terrible terrible experience I would never return nor reccomend this pub!!

We had a girls lunch on Sunday. Most of us had Roast and 2 had the vegetarian nut roast. We were looking forward to lovely fluffy Yorkshire puddings as seen on others' plates but the veg roasts came out with hard brown balls!! These were apparently vegan gluten free!! As was the cauliflower cheese side dish. We asked to have them exchanged as we only don't eat meat and love all the traditional roast accompaniments, and there was no mention of having Vegan sides served as standard with the nut roast on the menu (although clearly great for vegan diners), and they had established there were no dietary need/allergies when taking the order. They apologised and brought huge fluffy Yorkshires immediately. The roasts were all tasty, generous and great veg selection. Could have been hotter. (Vegan/gluten free could be offered on menu as option, just as a suggestion). But lunch was delicious and we loved the mini pudding with coffee/tea option. It was great to satisfy our sweet craving without being too full. Those who had a full sized dessert were treated to very generous portions and all were delighted. ( Atmosphere was somewhat marred by screaming babies, but I guess that's a hazard on Sundays). We had a generous time allotted at the table, and the waitress secured us a lovely snug area where we could have more coffee and continue our chatting after we left the table. Will definitely go back. Will definitely have the nut roast again (minus vegan sides!!). And if food a bit hotter will definitely get full 5 stars.

We have just moved into the area from Windsor. This is the first pub we have been to and we were not disappointed. In regards to the food I can keep it short and simple. We had the pork roast and everything was spot on. Absolutely no complaints tasted amazing. I will have confidence in Any dish I choose to order in the future. Beer was so so so clean. The other half was a big fan of the wine selection too. I have seen people stating they have been given fines for the car park. The moment you go into the car park, there are signs everywhere showing this is a car park for customers and you would need to input your registration into an ipad upon arrival. I must admit my other half completely walked past the ipad, whereas I saw it and input our registration. ( Ipad is located as soon as you come in the front door on your right hand side) We was then welcomed and told to head to the restaurant area. The first question we was asked was, "Have you input your registration into the ipad". After food, we had a drink in the beer garden again more signs stating to register your registration if you had not already. Dog friendly also. Plenty of well behaved dogs outside. At the front entrance, there is also dog treats and toys. We had sam and kayleigh looking after us and they were fantastic. Welcomed us nicely got us seated straight away. Honestly, I can't fault the place in any way, shape, or form from what I experienced on my visit. Looking forward to heading back there very soon.

Great chilled evening catching up with friends . Restaurant a lovely environment, a little empty , however it was a Thursday evening . ( August 3rd) The restaurant room is great , really nice vibe with nice lighting / tables . The two ladies who served us were absolutely lovely and had great customer service skills . They both went out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed . Will defo return and recommend to others . Thanks !

Service and atmosphere were good, but food seems to have gone a little downhill since last time I went, maybe new chefs or owners again...

Finally made it to Le Raj with friends last night. What a let down. After arriving in the reception area, we were asked if we would like drinks but these never arrived. After being seated at our table, we waited about another 10 minutes before having to ask where out drinks were. The table next to us had been vacated but not cleared and remained this way for around over an hour. Some of the food was good, some was not. I ordered a Duck Puri starter which was greasy and soggy and a cod main which was overly sweet and bland. Looking at the bill, 4 poppadoms are £13.60 (+10% service charge). Overall a disappointing experience, there are better options (Yaadein, Columbo Kitchen, Dastaan, Koyal) within relatively close distance that blow this place out of the water.

Loved this restaurant and will definitely go again! The waiters were so nice and helpful and they even offered to help us with our stuff, what food to choose and what was recommended. Me personally I think the onion bajji was the absolute best with otw fresh, hot taste and it's crunch. For the main we had chicken tikka masala and it was a dream! These were absolutely to die for!! The deserts just went so well.. It was easily balanced with the overall meal. The staff was very nice and the inside was just so calming to be in, it was such a relief and luxurious.

Good coffee, as usual friendly staff, needs a bit of an update as getting worn and faded. But still a nice place to go for coffee and a chat.

Sunday roast was mediocre at best. Meat was good, mash and potatoes were ok, but the parsnips were raw and the crackling was hard as nails and some was only half cooked. Deserts weren't much better.
