Service was very good, atmosphere is pleasant…but the food really needs to be improved! For the area that it’s in, I’m sure residents of Kingswood would be more likely to go out to eat there if the food was of better quality and better recipes. Ex: the starter board of cold meats, olives, bread….the olives seemed to be from a can, the olive oil/ balsamic mix for the bread dip…the oil did not really taste like olive oil….or it was a very low quality oil 👎. The bread was toast bread…..The chicken rice dish….the rice was mushy and tasted like a box ready to make side dish. The chicken was ok. The pasta was tasteless with too much sauce. Sorry we were very disappointed in the meal. But we liked the decor and atmosphere.

August Bank Holiday Monday myself abd ny husband came in for his birthday. We ordered 4 beers and 2 steak sandwiches. The beer was lovely and the bar staff friendly. But my steak was full of fat and tough as old boots. I ate the bread tomatoes and rocket. I showed the waitress the pile of fatty steak and the waitreas mumbled sorry under breath and stormed off with the plates no eye zintact. I expect this may happen often. I won't be eating or recommending again.

Went for Sunday lunch today with a friend. Ordered the chicken roast and my friend had the pork. Mine came up, 2 chicken drumsticks and something unexplainable supposed to resembling a smidge of breast. The pork looked like something the cat had found in the garden. Whole dinner was discusting. Worse "roast" I've every had. Waitresses we're lovely, shame about the chef!!! Needs to be replaced very quickly!!

The birthday celebration lunch for our son was a disaster. The chicken in the Caesar salad was so overcooked and tough, the fish in the fish and chips was dry, the presentation of my son's chicken risotto was so poor, colourless and unappetising. After the bill was presented we waited, and waited for our waitress to return. In the end I, the customer, had to seek her out only to find her serving behind the bar. I have never, in any restaurant I have visited, had to find the server in order to pay the bill. Fullers - you need to employ more staff. PS. The flowers decorating the exterior of the pub are magnificent!

Garden is very pleasant, food is good, however was in shock when bill arrived, £11 for a pre made cocktail! £37 for a bottle of prosseco, this is not a 5 star hotel in central London, it is an average pub in Kingswood. Drinks prices are way too high.

very disappointed with my recent vist Having eaten here for many years and always loved the ribs & burgers here there not even on the menu anymore. This has to be my worst visit in 20 years coming to the kingswood arms. I came here for my birthday meal with my parents and all meals were terrible. All 3 meals were over cooked fish & chips and both chicken meals so dry and tasteless and hard far from fresh food for the price you pay. starter was buffaol wings which was not to bad. This pub used to be realy good and look forward to coming here everytime not any more !!! just wish i went to star pub which is hands down a better pub for food and drink !!! very disappointed as this was a birthday treat.

We visited in good weather as a family of four for dinner in the beer garden on a Monday evening. There were very few other customers and plenty of staff. The bar staff were good and the kitchen was prompt but the waitresses didn’t seem to be too interested in doing any actual work and serving customers. Dirty tables were left around us for the entirety of our visit whilst the stuff caught up on the days gossip!

Main meals great. Unfortunately, when dessert was served, vegan ice cream was replaced with regular ice cream. Our server or my friend, who is vegan, were not informed. My friend is vegan for a good reason. She ate two spoonfuls of the ice cream before realising it was not in fact vegan ice cream. This caused several abdominal discomforts to my friend. Thankfully, our server was great.

Booked a meal for a birthday and upon booking it asked to tick if you’d like a dog friendly table (which I did). When we got there the lady that came over to speak to us (after we were stood waiting a while which she didn’t apologise for, it looked extremely under staffed there) she told us no dogs allowed in the restaurant. I said we had booked a dog friendly table and she simply said “we won’t have seen your request then”. No apology, honestly didn’t seem like she cared in the slightest. We left and went somewhere else and ended up having a lovely meal elsewhere. Would not recommend

If I could of gave this pub a zero star I would have. I booked a table 4 weeks prior to turning up on Sunday 17th December. As my sister is away at Christmas with my young nephew and niece we was going to use this day as our Christmas get together and exchange presents and have a Sunday roast. 40 minutes prior to turning up we was contacted by the manager stating they are running low on Sunday roasts and beef was not available. It was a shame as a few of the family members didn't eat chicken or nut roasts. It was also too late to book anywhere else being a week before Christmas. We asked the manager via telephone can we use the ordinary menu and order from that he stated that would be fine. Therefore we looked online and found plenty of choices of food so we stuck to our plan. Upon arriving we was seated down and given a sunday menu with a very limited food choice complete different to the menu online and what the manager told us. We brought this to the managers attention and asked him why he didn't state to us its a set menu and it differs from the online menu. He shrugged it off and his face spoke a thousand words. He clearly didn't care about our custom and come across very unapproachable and rude. We then decided to order from the very limited menu. Three of the guests ordered burgers and to my horror the waitress informed us that they can only cater for two of our party as they have run out of burgers. I then tried to order pie of the day for me and my wife and was informed they have also run out of this. This literally left just fish and chips on the menu I didn't dare to ask if that was available. We then left the pub as they clearly have a servere issue going on with stock of food. I have never been to such a poorly run establishment to run out of food 1 week before Christmas is beyond a joke. To add fuel to the fire the Manager was being very unapproachable and unsympathetic towards us. We tried to explain to the manager our concern and he clearly had a chip on his shoulder and having a bad day. I really can't believe this establishment was as busy as it was if this is the way they treat clients. This could have been dealt with very differently by the manager just a simple apology would of gone a long way. Terrible terrible experience I would never return nor reccomend this pub!!

I was very disappointed with my lunch yesterday. This wasn’t my first visit to the Kingswood Arms but may be my last! The food was very mediocre. The starter of crispy squid was lukewarm, minute but very expensive at over £9. The main course was also lukewarm, the mash advertised as a mixture of potato and cauliflower but seemed to consist entirely of cold potato. Avery unhappy experience!

We had a girls lunch on Sunday. Most of us had Roast and 2 had the vegetarian nut roast. We were looking forward to lovely fluffy Yorkshire puddings as seen on others' plates but the veg roasts came out with hard brown balls!! These were apparently vegan gluten free!! As was the cauliflower cheese side dish. We asked to have them exchanged as we only don't eat meat and love all the traditional roast accompaniments, and there was no mention of having Vegan sides served as standard with the nut roast on the menu (although clearly great for vegan diners), and they had established there were no dietary need/allergies when taking the order. They apologised and brought huge fluffy Yorkshires immediately. The roasts were all tasty, generous and great veg selection. Could have been hotter. (Vegan/gluten free could be offered on menu as option, just as a suggestion). But lunch was delicious and we loved the mini pudding with coffee/tea option. It was great to satisfy our sweet craving without being too full. Those who had a full sized dessert were treated to very generous portions and all were delighted. ( Atmosphere was somewhat marred by screaming babies, but I guess that's a hazard on Sundays). We had a generous time allotted at the table, and the waitress secured us a lovely snug area where we could have more coffee and continue our chatting after we left the table. Will definitely go back. Will definitely have the nut roast again (minus vegan sides!!). And if food a bit hotter will definitely get full 5 stars.

We have just moved into the area from Windsor. This is the first pub we have been to and we were not disappointed. In regards to the food I can keep it short and simple. We had the pork roast and everything was spot on. Absolutely no complaints tasted amazing. I will have confidence in Any dish I choose to order in the future. Beer was so so so clean. The other half was a big fan of the wine selection too. I have seen people stating they have been given fines for the car park. The moment you go into the car park, there are signs everywhere showing this is a car park for customers and you would need to input your registration into an ipad upon arrival. I must admit my other half completely walked past the ipad, whereas I saw it and input our registration. ( Ipad is located as soon as you come in the front door on your right hand side) We was then welcomed and told to head to the restaurant area. The first question we was asked was, "Have you input your registration into the ipad". After food, we had a drink in the beer garden again more signs stating to register your registration if you had not already. Dog friendly also. Plenty of well behaved dogs outside. At the front entrance, there is also dog treats and toys. We had sam and kayleigh looking after us and they were fantastic. Welcomed us nicely got us seated straight away. Honestly, I can't fault the place in any way, shape, or form from what I experienced on my visit. Looking forward to heading back there very soon.

And told there are no menus for drinks , so we blindly ordered anything as you apparently don’t have a menu , then when we went outside we found a drinks menu 🤷🏻♀️ Probably an idea for you to teach your lazy staff how to communicate with customers 👀

Staff were all helpful, and the manager at least offered free coffee, but the food was not good. I've eaten here many times over the years, and food has always been very good, but alas not now! I had a burger and chips, and it was average at best, but the big letdown was the Ham Hock, egg, and chips. The ham was clearly reheated and was dry as the Sahara and left an unpleasant after taste. It was so bad my partner could not eat it at all, and neither could I have if I'd had it, which I nearly did! Until they get the food back on point I'd eat elsewhere for your money as it is not in the budget price range either. ☹️☹️

We have had Ruchitas for years and go back as we know what to expect. I stupidly put the cartons of curry in the oven to keep warm and they melted (very tired) and they kindly remade it for me and gave it to me for free and said accidents happen. Completely unexpected but a lovely gesture. Going the extra mile for their customers. Thank you

Epsom & Banstead residents!! we are blessed to have such a special restaurant on our door step, no need to travel into London where you will not find any better food I assure you. I have worked in the hospitality industry for over 38 years, which includes running 6 Michelin star restaurants. I feel so lucky to live with in walking distance of Le Raj. The ‘Bengali’ cuisine is outstanding, their Chef is seriously talented and so consistent weather you dine in or have a take away. Jeff, the owner and front man, is a true professional, recognizing by name all his regular clients and their favorite dishes. We have frequented this restaurant for many a family celebration and will continue to do so as long as Jeff and his amazing team are there.

Chicken Time is an average spot if you're in the mood for a quick meal. I tried their peri peri rice, and it was decent, it didn't stand out much in terms of flavor, the chicken is alright ,not good or bad. The portions are so small and also they charge way more than other shops, the pricing in this shop needs to be reconsidered, £2.50 for a small bottle of Coke ??? , you can get one cheaper outside in a corner shop or somewhere. The service is mediocre, the staff really needs to be trained in customer service, like it's not welcoming at all, you get a feeling of not being welcome but I have to admit the wait times are really low which is good compared to other surrounding chicken shops. Overall, it's okay for a quick bite, but there are better options out there if you're looking for something more welcoming, better while being cheaper
