Jodie and her team are so warm and welcoming ,food is excellent ,great beers / wines .Great local pub .There is live music,sports tv ,it is a very busy pub food wise and has a great reputation,My wife and I always feel comfortable and safe .The beer is kept so well and the extensive wine list is so inviting. We had booked in to have a wonderful roast dinner which was fabulous, plenty of food and pudding was lovely too. We tend to use this pub a lot along with friends and family and love the friendly atmosphere. Jodie is always welcoming.

This is by far the best, most welcoming and pup friendly pub in Horsham! The staff are always friendly and accommodating even when they are rushed off their feet - which is often, as those who visit know that it’s a little bloody gem!!! Jodie is the warmest most bubbly landlady with a heart of gold and leads her team by example. ‘Busy’ means ‘in demand’ - their roasts are worth booking for (My Mum from South Africa was super happy when I took her there - and we Saffas love meat!!!!!) Live music is high on the list and they never fail to deliver! Fab covered outdoor secret garden too. If you haven’t been then do yourself a favour and BOOK A TABLE for a delish roast or just pop in for a pint and a natter. Highly recommended *****

On the basis of reviews, we tried The Kings Arms for Sunday lunch. The options were simple - choice of 3 meats (or all 3 together) and a non-meat option. We chose meat options and both were great. The roasts are traditional and very tasty. Good value for quality and portion size. Service was friendly and efficient and ambience was lovely. If you are after a straightforward, great roast then you won’t be disappointed. Stands up very well against a lot of local competition. We will be going back.

We walked into real local ales on tap and live music on, fantastic atmosphere and a lovely place to have a drink. Welcoming and lovely people behind the bar too. Will definitely return!

This is by far the friendliest & best pub in Horsham. It's also become my local since we moved to the area in 2016. It has great music events throughout the week both indoors and in the summer in the beer garden. Also we have a bit of a golf thing going on!

Absolutly lovely little pub with the most welcoming warm and friendly staff. There is a little bit for everyone here , the snug area provides a variety of games to sit and play weather your eith family and friends or date night. There is a variety of live music on different evenings over the weekends along with their open mic nights during the week !! This pub is also family friendly including your fury friends who always get free treats and free hugs !! Their food is delicious but their Sunday roasts are the absolute best !! We love coming to this pub for a visit! The staff are always welcoming, the flowers outside are always stunning, there’s games to use in the snug room at the back, a fantastic garden with a roof for when it’s raining and a HUGE selection of drinks. I attend the regular music nights. It's a friendly atmosphere as soon as you walk in. A relaxing environment to catch up with friends or just enjoy the entertainment. Tasty food to suit all tastes. The outside is special during the spring a summer with the vast display of flowers. Even the dogs get a no fuss welcome, with home made treats and bowls of water and fuss.

The change in this pub is immense. I hadn’t been for years but the owner Jodie has certainly polished and thrown glitter over an old turd. Great ale and service she deserves every success as it’s so difficult keeping a pub going these days. Well...

Mike, the chef at the Kings Arms produced an excellent dinner for my friends and me. The burger was excellent and my friends said that the hunters chicken was brilliant. We couldn’t fault our dinner at Kings Arms yesterday. We had Creamy mushrooms and chicken wings for a starter. The flavour and presentation were amazing. Our burgers and chips were cooked to perfection. The home made slaw was fantastic. Compliments to the chef.

It's great to see a pub with character offering tasty beer and food, not forgetting the welcoming and attentive staff. One suggestion, I would have loved a cup of decaf coffee to follow our meal.

This pub does does good food and beer. It's a short walk from the centre of Horsham and well worth the visit. It supports local breweries and local food producers. Recently it's changed hands and the new team are putting their stamp on it. Local pubs are at the heart of our culture, I'm pleased to see this and the Malty doing such a great job. Long live the British pub!

My partner and I dined in the restaurant for the first time last night.Very good food. Very good service.Mine host even offered us a complimentary drink for having to wait for our food, as the restaurant was very busy!Great customer service! Much appreciated.The restaurant is quite small and was definitely very busy with a very noisy table of 14 having a good time!This made it very difficult to have any sort of conversation during our dinner.But, you can’t fault the management for this. Business is business.After dinner, mine host even escorted us to the quiet snug area where we could enjoy finishing our drink.We will definitely return.

So we have lived around the corner for nearly 30 years and so have seen many sides of this pub, we really love what Sue and Ian have brought to the Kings Arms, the food is always lovely an delicious the staff are great... but, what really stands out for us is how good they are with our situation-mum in law has advanced dementia and cannot cope with busy rooms etc. Mothers day today, we booked for 5, us 3 and both mums-Sue knew our situation and booked us into the snug, phew! Mil has a tendency to kiss all babies-which isn’t welcome by most parents!!! Great Landlady and friendly staff.Advisable to book for Sundays and their specialty food nights .....Fish Steak etc. The pub has a separate dining room, A small Snug/Family room and a hidden Patio garden....Does not preclude you from eating in the main bar amongst all the local banter.Good selection of Real Ales and Lagers/cider. Good wine selection (some available by the glass).... Selection of Gins and other spirits and also soft drinks,...Regular live music from local musicians.....and frequent Quiz nights. Highly recommended.

Having been brilliantly re-furbished and with new owners,The Kings Arms is a lovely place, lots of different rooms and styles. The menu is strong. The staff attentive and I love the little garden at the back.

Such a nice renovation and new ownership. The food is very good, although a pretty young waitress needs to be properly trained in service. There is a sign in the men's bathroom regarding "drugs" and how they aren't tolerated which seems out of place considering alcohol is a drug which causes some people to become aggressive and violent. Marijuana on the other hand, does not have this effect on people.

Went to the Kings Arms last night with a group of friends and had food for the first time. I'd been in there a couple of times since it was refurbed for drinks and it's good to see it back on form as a cosy local with great beer and a friendly crowd.

As a family we love nothing better than getting together over a bite to eat! After our meal on Sunday, I think this will be our new meeting place. Food was amazing, between us we tried a varied selection of the menu and it was all delicious. Also as an added bonus, as an ale lover, there was a lovely selection to choose from! Having used this pub restaurant for Sunday Roast on the 5 previous Sundays, I was again looking forward to exceptional food. But unfortunately the chef has changed and now the food was bland and not hot. Having had lamb, I was greeted by 2 small slices of not very good quality meat. Shame as I love the pub, but will not return for this food.

I took a party of 12 to lunch at the Kings Arms on Saturday 6th October 2018. We were offered a choice of 4 main courses and 3 deserts. All was beautifully cooked and attractively presented to a high standard. Sue, front of house and Ian our chef are new at the Kings Arms. They set a high standard and deserve to be successful. My thanks to them both.

A little like sitting in someones living room, with way too much mis- matched furniture. Not at all like being in a pub.

Have used the Kings Arms frequently over the years, but I must say the latest re-incarnation is the best by far. The refurbishment and the lovely couple (Colin and Siobhan) running it, make it a very pleasant pub to visit. Have also had the pleasure of eating here as well, right up my street with all the fish/sea food options. The portions are very generous, well presented and are great value for money. What more could you want from a pub, great cask ales (change weekly), great food and atmosphere. Well done Colin and Siobhan, we will certainly be back.

Booked a table for 4 , it wasn,t that busy in the restaurant, but the bar was pretty full ! Very welcoming,drinks at the bar v good, nice table by the window, service very good , food all very nice . Visited here tonight, first time since it has changed hands and was expecting very good things. The bar was well stocked, craft ales, good selection of spirits and mixers. friendly informative member of staff. We decided to stay for a meal. Service took more time than we would have liked probably due to there appearing to be only one member of staff working both the bar and the restaurant. The menu had a nice selection of options, not too much so felt all would be prepared well. The baked Camembert was perfect and the charcuterie board very tasty and presented very nicely with plenty of bread ( often lacking in other establishments). Three of our party of 6 decided on the skate with samphire, a dish we as a family eat whenever it is on offer........the portion was generous but quite under cooked and also far too much samphire and too little mash potato. The mac and cheese went down well with one of the party and the ham and eggs ... well there was enough to feed three people on one plate so maybe these items are the ones to go for rather than something that needs very careful timing to get just right. I personally was disappointed at sitting for 2 hours for two courses and then getting a mediocre main plate. The environment is lovely, cosy, clean, welcoming, nice little garden out the back away from the street, great for a drink or snack with friends but based on my experience this evening perhaps not for a meal out.

Visited the Kings Arms three times in the last two weeks, fantastic improvement by new landlord and landlady. Good entertainment on a Friday evening, superb Sunday lunch and superb evening meal. Excellent friendly service and good welcome. Will be my new local for the future, far better than any other pub/restaurant in the area.

We came in today, for Sunday lunch, we booked for five of us, we were greeted well, we were seated. We were given a menu, I ordered pork loin, my father half chicken, my mother fancied the veggie option which was macaroni cheese but a very nice version and my brother and his girlfriend had the whole roast chicken to share which looked amazing but a lot of it. If you had roast you'd get lovely vegetables, potatoes, Yorkshire puddings, stuffing and sausages. We all enjoyed very much and came away full.

Visited Friday 3.8.18 on way home. We had the Surf 'n' Turf, sound expensive at £40.00, for one person on the menu so we asked if we could have it on the table to share, I never had Lobster. The steak was to die for, cooked so that it just melted in the mouth very rare but just how we love it and the Lobster in garlic butter amazing. Ordered extra chips as the meal was for one but they were very happy to sort so we could share at the table. I think the Kings Arms in Horsham is quite a hidden gem and the atmosphere was lovely, food flipping brilliant and such high standard. Our advice don't walk past go in. The chef is an amazing cook and his partner runs the pub so well. Oh we had a lovely pudding too. It was one of those meals that all day the next day you keep saying omg how good was that totally worth it!

Quality Sunday lunch - not cheap.

Met with friends for a meal sat eve a few weeks back. The restaurant was quite but that wasn’t a surprise as England had just beaten Sweden and it was a very warm eve. That said the food and service were excellent. Starters were massive as was the steak. Asked what beers they had the waitress bought a sample of each. Owner was friendly and rather than move on we stayed on for a few more drinks. The new owners are clearly trying really hard and they deserve to do well. Give them a go!

Great little pub. Friendly staff and well kept Beer. Good choice of Gin too. The food is great, cooked with passion. I honestly think the Sunday roast is one of the best I ever had. Parking isn’t great but it’s worth the short walk from the town centre. Nice Garden too. Roaring fire in the winter too.

Popped in as it was recommended by a friend. Kept the family happy with great food and kept me happy with the fantastic selection of real ales. Would recommend this to all.

Would highly recommend this pub for a roast on a Sunday it was delicious. The staff were very welcoming and attentive. There was a wide variety of ales and the snacks on the bar were a welcoming addition.

Had a great meal here the other week. Had a charcuterie board to start which was respectable. We both had steak, both came up tender and tasty, (even though for my sins I have mine well done) competing well with any steak house. The service was great, I believe we were served by the landlady who chatted with us and gave us a lovely shot! When suggesting an alternative sauvignon she offered to opportunity to try another wine which was nice but I still stand by the NZ Sauvignon as an all rounder! We look forward to returning.

The Kings Arms has been refurbished and introduced a restaurant - a fact which worried some of the existing clientele, but seems to be paying off.

Great place to watch a game, enjoy a few cold beers and some good food. The burger was great but the service even better.
