Really nice roast Sunday lunch. Generous portion of beef & good choice of approx 8 different vegetables. Roast potatoes & Yorkshire Pudding delicious too!

Food was well prepared. First time in a long time had a steak properly cooked. Pork Schnitzel was good as well.

We visited the area for Easter holiday and were recommended to go to this pub. We had a great Sunday roast and also returned for an evening meal later in the week. Great for allergies, games available to play. Recommend booking table’s especially for Sunday roast.

Great food and atmosphere. Free house so plenty of choice of different drinks too.

I have been here a few times and am very happy with the service. Great young lad took our order for drinks and food. The landlord was in and out delivering meals to the more vulnerable in the community but he took time to chat with us. What a star 🌟 .

We had Rob and the team cater our wedding and they did a really spectacular job. Rob worked with us first to determine what was possible, then designed a menu that would work for us, and then on the day delivered it. Would absolutely use again and recommend for other occasions too!

What a great country pub, food is some of the best around, great service and will certainly be back soon. We booked in a large group for my wife's 50th, all the meals we had from across the menu, all arrived together, were warm and well presented. The table staff were efficient, polite and accommodating to the many requests we had throughout our visit. The staff here and the whole eating out experience was absolutely spot on, my wife's 50th was completed on a high thanks to you all. Lovely classic Dorset village pub. Had a lovely steak meal here. Everyone very welcoming . So pleased as we are moving to this village after looking for our dream home for over 5 years. We need to support these local businesses or risk losing gems like this forever. Can highly recommend you visit.

Updated 21st November 20121. We were Seated for family gathering of 8. Staff cheerful, attentive, pleasant. Swift table service, Our Sunday Roast was fresh, hot and plenty of everything, roast meat, roast potatoes and fresh vegetables. Thoroughly enjoyed my all and would recommend😊 Super meal. Great lunch time menu options, value and good quality- we will be back ..

Beer was cloudy and had to be changed twice before asking for a different ale. Barkeep not happy with that. Food so so. Waitresses pleasant. Pub itself clean and tidy but too many items for sale hanging about.

This pub is a wonderfull place to go for lunch! The food there is very nice and is quite a reasonable price too. I highly recommend getting the garlic breaded mushrooms from the sides menu as they are very nice while waiting!

Cannot fault the pub or its staff, but sadly we were disturbed by a man who was making videos of himself for our entire 90 minute stay. Every time there was a gap in me and my partner's conversation, he would interject with a sob story strongly hinting at us giving him some money. Took the edge off our experience especially when he followed us inside.
