A great pub. Very good ales and wines, many locally produced, served by a good team. Lots of traditional games available and even some live music. Well worth a visit

I've been here a couple of times now and it's been great both times. Good selection of beers.

Small but Mighty! A tiny town centre pub in Dorchester. Great choice of beers and ciders, quirky interior, fabulous barman and lovely clientele. Prices are competitive, and they have a regular programme of live music. Fabulous place, we'll be back!

A lovely atmosphere, good beer. Selection is changed regularly and there is always a beer on which has lots of flavour. Best pub in Dorchester.

Went down with a few friends today. They don't do food but crisps and bar snacks available (pork pie/scotch egg) Very friendly staff and welcoming great selection of cask ales and ciders Even got a piano where my friend played a few numbers and other customers enjoyed Great backstreet place to go thoroughly recommend especially for ciders as my tipple 😄

A brilliant find that we stumbled upon a month ago during an overnight stop in Dorchester, thanks to the reviewer who'd written that it was everything a pub should be, otherwise we'd never have looked for it and would have missed a rare treat. Our thanks to the friendly barman (who wasn't the owner) and a great local called Bad Santa Dave whose lively chat soon settled us into this small bar with its wonderful collection of board games, walls lined with photos, and of course a fine selection of ales and ciders.

Fabulous town centre brewhouse. No music just the sound of people enjoying their drinks and chatting. Great range of ales and gins on offer. Highly recommended.

Brilliant pub that we were lucky to happen upon on a trip to Dorchester. Lovely atmosphere, no piped music just "rabbit". Beer selection small but perfectly formed. Wish I had a Rabbit local to me.

Passed this place a few times, and on my to do list for a while. I'm not an ale drinker, but do appreciate places that are not the norm. It didn't dissapoint. It's small, very quirky, and definitely doesn't pretend to be anything it isn't. I had a warm welcome from Nigel, the owner, and a great chat with a customer called Arthur, (hope you rode home safe). This is an ale House, and dose it very, very well. My only disappointment was that I'm not really into ale, and wuss'ed out on the only available (I think) lager. Which was still very good, and served in a extremely groovy glass. No music, no fruit machine, just down to earth comfort. Thank you, and I'll be back.

Well, this was a very unusual establishment we "fell into" just happy to escape wild weather+cold wind. We innocently asked if we could have bowls of soup remembering delectable offerings in a French hostelry. The barman (I presume the owner) politely said there wasn't such a thing. One of the regulars (there were only4 other customers, was heard to mutter "there's beer soup"! So we asked for brandy, "no sorry" came the oft heard response. My husband suggested rum, at last we'd alighted on an available liquid. The only food was a vast choice of potato crisps. We chose 2 different flavours of posh ones. The rum made everything seem a little less gloomy and sparce. The barman kindly let us hug one little moveable radiator. We were frozen. The loo was a space opposite the bar called "The Thunder Box". It was a weird experience but I'm glad we went there to see another kind of hospitality far from the norm. It felt like something Agatha Christie might have included in her writings. Good luck to The Convivial Rabbit+it's clientelle. I see below there are questions about favourite dishes on the menu. There were no dishes+no food!!

Nice pint of Budvar. Bar man was friendly and welcoming, shame there was no music or anything.

I would rather not say too much because it is one of those amazing places where you can still have a chat with your friends without loud music interrupting you, the beer selection changes but it is always brilliant and the staff are friendly and helpful; so far it has been a little gem where I can take friends for a beer and they love it!

A great craft beer pub (they serve wine, cider and gin too !!) tucked away in Dorchester Tonight they had live music with a great atmosphere... A friendly pub... go on.. try it !!

Large, welcoming well ventilated space for micropub. 6 ales in good condition, though can be a little warm, with plenty of variety. Excellent local cider. Not cheap

My favourite pub, great beer and lovely staff.

Enjoyed our beers sitting in the sunshine in the alleyway outside but there was seating inside as well. Place is hidden away - wouldn't have found it without Google maps & name doesn't give much away but worth looking for.

So pleased to have found this pub! After frequenting the London microbreweries and hipster bars for so many years it's nice to find something similar back home :-) Lots of nice beers to sample, good atmosphere and yummy snacks.

My mate and I are Bridport residents. We have a few good pubs here but were keen to explore further afield. This little gem is well worth the journey. Keen prices. Beer is top notch.

Wonderful pub with excellent ales

Friendly micropub, with vgn choices- hooray and thank you. Were it not for needing to catch a train would have spent hours here , loved it. Will return when next in Dorchester

Always enjoy my visits to this place. It's quite small by average pub sizes but has great ambience and decent drinks.

Love it, great atmosphere. Superb range of beers, regularly changed I've not had the same one twice. The down side is that a lot more people have discovered this little gem and it's getting busier. I doubt that the owners will complain and their popularity is well deserved.

A quirky and cosy pub for those of us who enjoy beer straight from the cask. Look out for the regular folk jam and being your own records along to jazz night.

A small friendly micropub down an alley off Trinity St. It has been trading since 2016. 5 real ales on sale plus a keg pilsner, but no food. A great place for conversation.

Sunday night had several musicians in taking turns to play very quante really enjoyed it good beers also

Hidden away but cracking little place. Great selection of ales and a very tasty pork pie to accompany the beer. Particularly recommend the 'mad dog' ale if you like your grapefruit infused ale

Great cask beer on offer (about 6), plus craft beer in a fridge. Usually a good atmosphere, they have a nice new beer garden. A true hidden gem.

Everything is clean, a good atmosphere, they also have a lovely terrace. You can find a drink for pretty much any taste! And if you are worried about your health safety, then fear no more, they respect all of them. So stop worrying and get yourself in here. I will return 100%.
