Trad boozer. No frills. Not your pine flooring, gastro pub. Full or urban professionals. Aimed for those who want a good drink after work. Attentive bar staff. Mostly lager but one real ale which was well kept. Dart board fruit machines and Sky sports. Liked it.

Visited The Kings Arms for the first time yesterday, such a nice pub with a great atmosphere. The Sunday roast was excellent. Loads of seating outside to enjoy the sunshine and a drink in the sun!

Great atmosphere, bubbly and welcoming staff. Lovely layout for those dining or having a casual drink. Was really nice to be able to play a few games of darts and enjoy a rare child free evening. Will definitely be back for food next time.

Local boozer with tv and nice atmosphere. A far cry from the rather 'posh' Kings Arms Hotel of my youth, and now a townie pub with good beer (not much choice) and mega packets of crisps. Just as well because the kitchen is sadly defunct. Charming bar staff.

It's a classic sports pub. Beer selection is a bit minimal. Staff and clientele are friendly. If you want to watch a match it's good...

Friendly pub. Also the only pub in the town to show football

Very busy, but the staff were very good, exceptional service. We had the carvery for Sunday lunch, great choice of vegetables. We decided that the only problem was that the plates were too small as we wanted more! Desserts were lovely, not a lot of choice of desserts, but enough to have to deliberate for a few moments. Wine menu was good, available by the glass or bottle. Would definitely recommend. Caters for dogs too, even with their own menu! 👍

First time I stayed here the room and communication front the start was spot on. Perfect location easy to find from the train station with a big sign you can see from down the road. Very smart hotel and staff that sort issues quickly. Didn't find the option of no breakfast on the site but after speaking to front of house it was sorted where it would be swapped for the evening meal instead so I wouldn't loose out I was able to take the dinners to my room. The dining room staff are very polite and efficient Angel seen to me lovely young lady, the location is just WOW right on the beach with a beautiful view of the garden. Second time I was refused to be able to take my dinner to my room, was informed this has never been allowed. Had a sand fly issue, never had this before, room needed to be cleaned, hoovered and new bedding. Still awake at 11pm cleaning up dead flies. Third time was different, stayed in June, the lift outside is no longer in operation so motor chairs were left on the car park, asking about the outside lift as it had been sorted and damaged it would be better, cheaper and more ideal to have a ramp leading up to an entrance. Nothing had been mentioned when booking nor any information later on. Love the location, but can't see me returning.

Went in on a Saturday lunchtime for a quick drink with a couple of female family members . Did not expect much , typical town pub . Level of service from the landlady and quality of drinks provided exceeded expectations. Superb value , will definitely go again .

Car broke down on the Axminster bypass: when fixed I had lost the will to drive another 4 hours so checked into the George Inn. In the middle of an outrageously good Halloween party, the staff were never the less attentive, sympathetic and checked me in quickly. Recently refurbished, the hotel is really and very well furnished and decorated - super comfortable, super clean, super cozy. It’s a little gem, with parking - great value too!
