THE KING FRYER in East Riding of Yorkshire

Delicious food, absolutely lovely and kind service, especially because the man usually at the front is so caring but efficient with the food he gives out. There's usually not many people around if any as I go later with my family but there's still a positive atmosphere about the place and my daughter is very happy because she knows how good it always is, service and food! Plus, the prices are so good compared to other local chip shops for what you get, such as the family deal. Overall, a great establishment and my go-to chippy!

We are 4 lads from Birmingham, visiting friends in Goole, looking for a good chippy, and we dropped on big time at The King Fryer. The fish was fantastic, the chips were spot on, and all the staff were extremely friendly. Would highly recommend.

Very nice food and very friendly

Went here today after asking for recommendations and King Fryer being recommended several times. I was not disappointed. Really enjoyed the food - in particular the fish - and the owner was absolutely lovely. We chatted about all sorts while I waited for the food cooking. Really happy to eat from here again.

Fantastic fish & chips , fish was out of this world and plenty of it

Been going here for best part of 8 years every Friday. I can count on one hand the amount of times the food has been sub par. The chips are fried in beef dripping so very tasty. The fish is always very fresh and tasty. Not oily like other takeaways. And sevdin is always very welcoming. Every time I walk in to the place I am greeted by sev, sofia and Jess with a smile asking me how my weeks been and so on. Couldn’t ask for a friendlier bunch. I have tried other takeaways when they have annual holidays but it never competes. I would rather just go without if this place is closed. Best chippy in goole without a doubt. Carl

Had two large cod and chips with mushy peas, just over £20. Hands down best fish and chips I have ever had and I'm 61😀

Popped in on chance and boy am I glad. The fish pattie was superb, with fresh slices of potatoe, stuffed with nice white succulent fish in the middle. The fish (although quite small) was very fleshy and fresh and tasty. The chips were just chips but hey.... All in all it was a refreshing change to enjoy quality food from a chippy.

Having used this fish shop for many years now I am left wondering what is going wrong seeing a continues deterioration in the food of late, tonight was the worst yet chips and peas x three all clap cold !!!!, Only "warm" thing was the scampi and it was no where near HOT. VERY DISAPPOINTING all in the bin waste of money sadly 💸

Got my order wrong was trying for 1hr half to get through by phone. I spent £18.80 there. When i messaged then through Facebook they got back to 40 mins later. Asked me loads of questions about order stuff like that. Told me they would bring me the fish that they left out of my original order then..... Told me to come pick it up. Customer service is dye

A clean shop with friendly service. The portions are generous and the food is of a high quality; I had a delicious scampi and chips with curry sauce (some of the best scampi I've had). We'll definitely be visiting again.

Absolutely spot on! Fish was huge and cooked perfect, got a mountain of chips, mushy peas were lovely and it wasn't expensive!

The bread was dry the dinner meat was dry

The food was a good quality, however just after we ordered a load of people walked in,our food got served to them meaning we were in there waiting nearly 20 minutes!! They also forgot our curry sauce,rubbish under pressure!
