It was raining and they had no indoor facility for taking dogs into, when we wanted to have a meal. I imagine at this time of year the pub is missing out on a lot of financial gain because they don't allow dogs into the premises. We left.

A great country hotel. Well located for many Gower attractions. The staff are extremely polite and friendly and nothing is too much trouble. My room was basic, but it was clean and well appointed. Breakfast was superb and set me up for the day. Will definitely return.

Wonderfully relaxing weekend at The King Arthur Hotel. Excellent food with ample portion sizes; our room was spotlessly clean and very comfortable; Service was efficient and the staff very attentive. Will definitely be returning.

We stayed the night before a nearby wedding, so only enjoyed breakfast. Reception was very friendly. Our room was excellent - clean, nicely appointed and a good bathroom with bath and shower over. We enjoyed a couple of drinks in the bar before the wedding party and the atmosphere was great with a warm log fire. Breakfast was made to order, which was a nice change and ensured hot food. The hotel has a very attractive garden area and outlook, great in warm weather! All in all, reasonably priced and highly recommended.

First ignore all the negative feedback. That’s their opinion. However, our experience was WOW. The staff are very pleasant and respectful on arrival parking was easy and free. The bar and the staff are great, and we felt relaxed. The room was spotless and very comfortable. The breakfast was amazing and the young lady that served us was a credit to king Arthur hotel. Stayed with my wife and met friends for dinner. The room was small so left suitcases in the car. That was the only negative. The pub is beautiful, staff friendly and both dinner and breakfast of high quality. We live in Brisbane and arrived here on recommendation from a schoolfriend who has lived on The Gower for 30 years. It was a sound recommendation..

I stayed here in late March 2024 for two nights for a friends wedding. Everything from the wedding service itself to the food, the rooms and the location was absolutely impeccable. A special mention has to go the staff who were helpful, very efficient and extremely friendly. I would highly recommend a stay here.

We had our evening wedding party here and received a 5 start service from the start. The staff are fantastic and can not do enough for you, the location, rooms, and venue as a whole are flawless. We would 100% recommend to anyone considering a function. Even if you fancy a spot of lunch or dinner the restaurant food is top notch also.

Always a stunning venue, lovely staff, beautiful views and plenty of airbnb's close by if the rooms are full for an event.

We visited for lunch on 23rd February this year and, as usual, everything was just lovely. What really impressed me though was that when I ordered our meals, I asked if I could have my lamb burger without tomato and with a salad. While we were sitting waiting for our food to arrive, a lady came from the kitchen (presumably!) and asked that as I didn't want tomato with my burger, would I prefer not to have any in my salad? I was so grateful as I had forgotten to say so myself and it was a little detail like that that made all the difference and showed the level of care for your customers that isn't shown in most places. Thank you and we will visit again soon!

Another visit to the King Arthur’s didn’t disappoint. We go for a couple of nights every February. Comfortable rooms, lovely food and above all, brilliant staff. A very unique place with a great atmosphere.

Zoe was our waitress, so prompt, friendly and lovely. I ordered duck, was cooked to perfection. Would recommend to anyone - just a shame not dog friendly indoors. Fantastic food and service though

Located in rural Gower, this is a hidden gem. Large function room in the back. The food served was very tasty, and generous portions.

Wow!!! We held our wedding ceremony and party here last weekend, what a beautiful venue, what a stunning location, what an incredible team.of talented people delivering amazing customer service, excellent food and lifelong memories to treasure. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. The rooms are gorgeous, public and bedrooms both. Lovely Helen at reception was mentioned so many times by our guests, Ruth and her breakfast team are a delight, Rhys and the bar team are such great fun and service, the young maintenance guy was amazing to speak to, helpful and so positive. Justin the DJ was brilliant, great songs, great personality and the video is a treasure. Every member of staff is an ambassador for the hotel, so refreshing. Finally Zoe and the wedding team....great service from the start and Zoe was phenomenal on the day, guiding us through and keeping everything connected and smooth. She really did go the extra mile for us and we are so very, very grateful. Our day and weekend was perfect and memorable in every way. So many fabulous comments from our guests. Didn't stay only had food (lunch) with family Saturday lunchtime. We would have preferred to sit in the lovely bar area with the fire but it was packed so we were in the room at the back which was fine. We had a selection of dishes from the main/lunch menu (nachos, laverbread, hot and cold sandwiches) and everything was excellent with good portions. Decent cider selection and friendly, helpful staff too - we would definitely return!

Superb hotel, excellent service and lovely atmosphere. This was home for just one night as were out locally and you arrive across the National Park to the welcoming glow of the King Arthur. The staff could not have been more helpful and the bedroom was spotlessly clean. The bar is a busy one and had a great atmosphere with a mix of 'locals' and tourists. I had a superb time and look forward to finding a reason to return.

Myself and friends visited in the morning for coffee. This was ok and we wanted to return that afternoon for a meal. We wanted to book a table but, we were told we could't book a table in the bar. Imagine our surprise, when we returned at 3:50 for a meal and every table in the bar had a RESERVED label on it. I questioned this with the person I had initially asked to reserve a table. The answer I got I couldn't believe. Reservations could be made by locals only.

Only went for a pub meal but it was fantastic. Very generous portions and so tasty. The steak pie was amazing. Would definitely recommend.

Sunday dinner was simply beautiful. We all had lamb which didn’t come with a Yorkshire pudding but we simply asked and we did receive! Pudding was also lovely. Would happily return.

First problem dog UNfriendly, despite having three separate areas all with hard floors. Ok I accept that not everyone likes dogs but they could easily restrict them to one area. But what topped it off was the barman getting the order wrong and then blaming me. He was surly enough without that. Acts as though it has a good reputation and has to do nothing whatsoever to maintain it

My dog Bertie and I have just spent a lovely weekend at the King Arthur in one of the dog friendly cottages. Dogs aren’t allowed inside the hotel but the restaurant cooked and delivered to me a perfect steak. The location was ideal and the cottage was clean and cosy. We will definitely be back.

A wonderful stay celebrating our 15th Wedding Anniversary on our return to the venue we held our wedding reception. The welcome was superb, the staff so accommodating and the food was exceptional.

Although regular customers for food this was the first time we'd had an overnight stay. It was a Christmas present for my wife and we both had a brilliant time. The annexe room was excellent, modern and spotless. The evening meal was the standard we've come to expect from The King Arthur, outstanding. But what makes The King Arthur that extra bit special is undoubtedly the staff. They combine professionalism perfectly with friendliness. The staff are King Arthur's best asset.

We were looked after so beautifully during our recent stay at the King Arthur - wonderful food, magical atmosphere in the Avalon Room and the most spacious and comfortable, tastefully decorated room for our o/night stay. The hotel is in a very peaceful and attractive setting, and we hope to return in the summer to explore the wonderful Gower peninsula.

Absolutely love this place. We've stayed in the hotel and more recently, one of the cottages with our dogs. The staff are simply brilliant, always friendly and so helpful. The location is perfect for walking right from the door or for short drives to the stunning beaches. We always wish we could stay longer and will definitely be back again, and again!

Called in for early evening meal yesterday. They accommodated us in one of the restaurants which was nearly full, warm and had a good atmosphere. Plenty of staff were on duty and the quality of service was excellent We had the lasagne and chicken breast… both were piping hot and delicious. Special mention to the bar and serving staff who were excellent Highly recommend!

A great venue food is excellent and plentiful. Staff are very friendly and welcoming. I did not meet one staff member who was not smiling and they always greeted us in passing. Ive have been to the King Arthur several times and look forward to returning.

Come up for lunch a few times, tried the bar and the restaurant. Service is really excellent and front desk and wait staff are all on top of their jobs and super welcoming. I recommend the bar which doesn’t have the table side service but atmosphere is much better. Food is great too. Worth a trip if you are in the gower whichever part you go to.

Attended king arthur 11.11.23 jess & josephs wedding what a superb venue we cannot fault anything from housekeeping to all general staff we were treated with kindness politeness and the staff could not do enough for you i would recomend this venue for any function

The King Arthur Hotel was the host for our wedding day. It was the best day of our lives. From the outset the wedding staff were immensely helpful, and put us at ease with the task we had ahead. Thank you Annelise. The day itself was very smooth and couldn’t have gone any better. The staff on hand helped with everything and they all had smiles and made the day even brighter than it already was. The food was 10/10 and we couldn’t have asked for it to have tasted and looked any better than it did! The venue was clean, tidy and in very good condition. The rooms were also very clean and we had no issues from any of the guests staying at the venue who all enjoyed their stay. There is a lovely garden area to take photos and a tree that has some fairy lights falling from it, which adds to the speciality of the place. The evening was fantastic and the DJ Justin allowed people get up and onto the dance floor with the songs he was playing and the atmosphere he was creating. We really can’t thank staff at the King Arthur enough for what they did for us and how they made our special day even more special. Thank you.

Excellent location, rooms, service and food, attended my Grandsons wedding and reception and I can't talk highly enough of the wonderful experience the whole weekend was.

Chef's curry one of the best I've ever tasted. Do however wish that the Double Dragon could be cheaper. All in all a wonderful place.

Stayed at one of their apartments clean, warm and everything you needed was there lovely accommodations. The food in the King Arthur was fabulous reasonably priced, the staff friendly and very helpful, highly recommend King Arthur Hotel.

Had to write a review as this place was a gem of a find. Place was heaving on a Monday night but they managed to fit us in and the staff were so friendly and helpful. The food was outstanding. The lamb was the best my husband had ever tasted and my lasagna was just delicious. Fair prices too for the amazing quality. Would come back to wales just to visit this place! It was OK for a night. The food at the pub was also just ok. Beer was great, and the atmosphere was nice. The rooms are outdated but clean. The bed was extremely soft. Very quiet. Breakfast was not good at all. The quality was very poor. The service was not friendly at all.

I went for lunch with my mum, at first I was a little worried as there was a large wedding party happening, but the warm welcome from the staff at the king Arthur and the 5* food ( complements to the chef) as well as the lovely log fire warmed our hearts. Thankyou !!! Xxx

Stopped here for food while staying in the area. Fantastic service, very polite ,friendly but quick and efficient, professional. The food was absolutely delicious ! Atmosphere was good, would recommend to stop in if you’re looking for food and drinks etc .

The staff are a delight, welcoming, friendly and professional. The food is delicious and nothing is too much trouble. We were a party of 20 and everyone coped admirably with the ordering, serving of our food and billing. Housekeeping was efficient and our room was very comfortable. The hotel is well located for the Gower coast

Only stopped for lunch. Lovely olde worlde pub/hotel/restaurant with open log fires and pleasant, welcoming staff. Great traditional menu with lots of choice, from light snacks to 3 course meals. Love it.

Great location, massive garden, great customer service. There is live stock walking around which could be difficult for some dogs. My herding dog had no difficulty being distracted with my steak lunch 🤣

Everything was five star. I can’t single out one person because every single member of the team whether it be front desk, the restaurant team or the bar hosts were impeccable. We haven’t enjoyed a night away so much in ages. The food was perfect, the room immaculately clean and beautifully presented and the overall impression was of a smooth, collaborative business with friendly, happy and professional staff.
