The staff here are always willing to go the extra mile to make you feel welcome and comfortable. British cuisine can be ordered at this bar. They serve tasty cheesecakes, pudding and ice cream here(just to mention a few). Don't miss the opportunity to order good wine or beer.

Fantastic means from £5 well worth a visit

I can’t fault it - the food’s tremendous the atmosphere’s nice and friendly and the staff were tremendous. I ordered the full rack of ribs for lunch and they let me have a slice of bread to sop up the delicious barbecue sauce they used. The ribs were so tender and fell off the bone and melted in the mouth - probably the best ribs I’ve ever had in my life. 10/10 would go again.

Thank you for putting a lovely spread on today 2nd October 2022. We visited for my cousin Andrew ashes scattering in Swansea. Met some of the fantastic friends who made us feel very welcome.

Unexpected little gem. Passed it a few times and never paid much attention to it but after sitting out in the sun I will definitely visit again

It does not cease to amaze me how this place is so highly rated and has "won awards" which I suspect might have been a blue Peter badge back in the 90's for a drawing the owner did as a child - because I can't believe it would be for food, deco or vibe anyway. My family and I chose to come here based on said rating and we feel rather duped to be fair. Apon entry at lunch time loud and really rubbish music is playing which is not really what you want while eating. But we were there and the food was "said" to be good so we went ahead and made our orders. When the food started to arrive - to say I was shocked would be an understatement. This must be the only place on earth where it is acceptable to put the chips part of your meal into a small b and m bargains cat food bowl while the rest of your meal follows on a small child sized dinner plate. I noticed some other people receiving thier chips in a little chip frying basket - which I don't particularly like either but I did wonder what kind of special individual you would need to be to receive those as apposed to our cat bowls... Like did we need to belong to a secret club or something that we hadn't been told about? The chips within the b and m cat bowls could potentially have lessened my annoyance had they been actually decent chips... But alas - this dream was also crushed when I realised that they were just cheapy big chips like you get in the Chinese. I suspect they may have been par-fried previous to the final fry before they made thier way into said cat bowls and subsequently to our table and whoever did the final fry had even failed in that menial task as they were not particularly warm cheap, big, Chinese takeaway type, previously par-fried chips! Then... There is the rest of the meal on the separate child sized dinner plate.... Tiny steak which was also - bizzarely rather cold and was around 50% inedible (unless your a monster) fat. The rest of the meals were less than mediocre and they failed to get the orders completely right as well. All in all BIG waste of time and money. Won't be returning - and if your thinking of going there for the first time yourself - my advice - don't.

Had a fabulous birthday lunch for my mom today. The food was excellent, the staff were warm, smiley & helpful & for anyone with children there's a great play area. Well worth a visit.

Been here a couple of years ago in 2015. Looked a bit dated. Came back In 2017 and looked completely different inside.

Have just returned from birthday celebrations at The Farmers Arms. What an incredible transformation the pub has had at the hands of its new owners. From the gorgeous food, the friendly staff, the incredible outside area, including a secure and vibrant area for the children to play, the beautiful interior design, this place has it all! I can't wait to return again very soon!! Thank you to all the team for making our visit so special!

Went here today as was in the area never been there before asked was food being served after standing there for 5 mins while he watched football when he did eventually come to us told us sit where we want after sitting for a further 5 to 10 mins with no menu we went up to bar again and asked for a menu his response I'm serving a minute yer I'll get u one now when he was clearly watching football and been drinking as he asked us what can I get u lads when I was the only male there and all rest were women and kids well we just left would not recommend to anyone unless ur pissed and out to watch football can't say what foods like as didn't have any

Proper local pub, under new management.

Yo entramos en este pub para un rápido pinta en un viernes por la tarde y estaba decepcionado por no encontrar a los agricultores. Me gusta los agricultores. Mi tío es uno. Pero este lugar estaba lleno de niñatos. Niñatos y un encargado de un lugar en el noroeste de Inglaterra. Él era ruidoso y muy molesto. Espero que sale pronto. Y encima de todo, cuando llegué a casa descubrí que mi gerbo constituye había muerto. Evitar este lugar.

Went on the off chance to try it out after new owners taken over... Very impressed generous portions and reasonable pricing Lovely friendly staff who could not be more accommodating.... Much better than previous landlords!! Will be back very soon.

Went out on a Friday having booked a table. The menu was good and there were several specials. I had the steak, came perfectly cooked and everything else was lovely. Nice to see this pub restaurant serving good food again

Visitamos aquí el sábado por la noche estaban muy ocupados, pero afortunadamente conseguimos una mesa. Los aperitivos eran increíbles. Tuve el cordero que se cayó el hueso que era para morirse. La tarta del día fuimos muy bien con la familia. Hora de salida las especialidades del chef son una excelente relación calidad-precio. Además, si tienes cualquier requisito especial a pedir!! Yo no podría caber en postre pero no pude resistir el chocolate fudge cake y crema pastelera.

Went here today, what a lovely pub. The staff were all friendly and welcoming. The menu was varied with an excellent choice of starters,main meals and deserts. My sister had home made steak and ale pie and chips. My mother had the pie but asked for peas, mash and gravy instead. Asked if I could have chicken grilled no dressing, jacket potato and salad. It was no problem. Everything was cooked fresh and was delicious. The disabled access is suitable for wheelchair users. And the restauraunt is spacious. It ways quiet lunch time but with the new take over and chef will be very successful.

Have visited for Sunday lunch several times in the last few months and every time is it beautiful. Lovely selection of vegetables and good choice of meats, or you can have a choice or two and importantly good tasting gravy. Drinks are brought to your table and service is excellent. Staff are polite and friendly. Well recommended and I will return very shortly.

Visited the farmers last Friday with my partner, the staff were really friendly and helpful, the chef came out and explained what the specials were which was a nice touch, and it's nice to see a homemade menu not frozen food, the price was great, we had starters and mains and a drink each and came to under £35 we will defiantly be back with more people

Unfortunately this restaurant has changed hands several times lately and I went there at end of December for lunch. The menu appeared ok , a bit on the pricey side for lunch maybe. However, the chicken stack was devoid of barbeque sauce, the chips were frozen, the portion was extremely small, I could have eaten it twice. The pork chops were skinny and without any seasoning or sauce at all. This is a great pub in a great location, needs a great chef with some flair and imagination to get it back to where it used to and should be

I went with some friends on a Friday evening, the pub was rather busy. We hadn't booked but this was notb a problem and it was explained that the food waiting time would be about 45mins. My sirloin steak was excellent, cooked rare to medium and very tasty. The home made chips were lovely and the garlic and mushroom sauce was as good as my own. I couldn't manage a sweet as well but the display looked very appetising. I will now try this on a Sunday for lunch as I live very close . I have not been here for at least 18 months and would now return as I was pleasantly impressed

Have been a few times in past 3 months, and have personally enjoyed the food. However friends that I was with have had variable experiences. Twice there was a lot of fat on their gammon, which can be off-putting. The cheesy garlic bread was very doughy and too heavy, but ordinary garlic bread was thinner and tasty. The desserts are very good. Staff are friendly and helpful. Once it was very cold in the restaurant which affected our enjoyment. There is plenty of room so you don't feel cramped in close to other diners. We've not tried the offer because we've gone later in the evening, so did not get exceptional value for money. In summary, expect pub grub in a pleasant seating area with friendly staff.

My partner and I have visited the restaurant in this pub several times now since it was taken over by new owners. The food is absolutely excellent - whether you go at lunchtime or in evening and the Sunday roast is out of this world. Such a change from a carvery - here the food and drinks are brought to your tables. Lovely sized portions and beautifully presented. Even when busy, there are no long waiting periods. Didnt think it could be improved upon but each visit is more fabulous. Special lunchtime menu of £9.99 for 2 is exceptional value.We always book Sunday lunchtimes as get busy.

We've eaten here a number of times and usually have for the 2 meals for £7.50p (which is up until 5pm on weekdays) and is excellent value for money. They don't skimp on portions because of the special offer and the food is great. The home-made chips are delicious!! Service can sometimes be a bit slow, but not always. All in all a great place to eat.

Went early evening and had the sirloin steak. Very nice and cooked as required, the only thing, in my opinion, that let it down was that the rest was luke warm as maybe it had been waiting to be served for too long. Other than that the service was pleasant and I would return.
