Was looking for a big breakfast, but they only served baps . Ok for a lighter breakfast and a coffee , not a full English . Lovely accommodating staff .

First time here today and it was very nice. I was immediately hit with the smell of oil frying which was off-putting but the whole café looked clean, airy and there was plenty of table availability. We ordered 5 different cakes and all were delicious! No faults at all! The gentleman who served us was a delight, so friendly, smiley and light-hearted, he clearly took pride in his work and appeared to really enjoy his role! The cafe is not a cosy place with comfy armchairs, it's kind of semi-formal with hard wooden chairs and spaced out tables. The gift/craft shop shares the same space as the café which also deters from a cosy atmosphere, but the service and quality of the cakes was optimal and makes this place worth returning to!

A nice little coffee shop in a church in mumbles. Always liked it here but a bit pricey now and was overcharged for 2 large Americanos which should have come to 7.20 but was charged 7.90 which is the price for cappuccino and latte but even that is pricey compared to other coffee shops.

Pate on toast is ok. But the side salad (bagged lettuce) it is served with has been very disappointing on three occasions, with wilted brown tasteless lettuce. It would be so much more appealing to have a small side salad with a piece of tomato to add colour and some cucumber for extra crunch with a little balsamic glaze drizzled over.

The whole ambience of this lovely cafe / bistro wraps around you as you sit and enjoy their excellent food and drinks. The staff are first class led by an absolutely wonderfully helpful and organised Natalie. Why eat at home when you can enjoy first class food, reasonably priced, served by lovely staff and surrounded by the warm glow of a great atmosphere. The whole enterprise at Mumbles Methodist Church is to be greatly admired and is so worthy of support from residents and visitors to Mumbles. This is a local community venture ‘ par excellence ‘ Whoever thought of the idea deserves an award for their contribution to the community of Mumbles. Definitely a 5 * star experience. Dropped in a for a coffee and ordered 2 cappuccinos. When they arrived they were so weak that I too them straight back ( another customer was doing exactly the same) and they were replaced with two more equally weak coffee's. At this point the owner or person in charge intervened and tried to explain to me that it was Italian coffee ( implying I had never had Italian coffee - big mistake) and it had come from that established capital of Italian coffee - Cardiff ( hysterical laughter was suppressed). She then provided a further shot of coffee each which mad it passable. At £2.60 for small cup this is quite frankly a rip-off. Will never return or recommend.

We wanted somewhere for a coffee and a cake, this place looked fairly quiet. Ordered 2 scones with jam and cream, cake and coffees. When they arrived, firstly there was no knife to cut the scone in half and no jam or cream. Ok I’m not fussy about the knife that’s no problem but...When I went back to the till I asked a lady (different from the first, possibly a manager in her 60s short hair) for the jam and cream, the woman abruptly said that it’s extra and only comes with the tea special?! I told her that I specifically asked for jam and cream when I ordered. Didn’t offer an alternative or even butter. When I took the scones back she looked at me in absolute disgust, Very poor customer service and in fact my mother has been here before and the service wasn’t great! Definitely won’t call again!! You may want to focus on getting your staff trained better in customer care! You have a great location but it’s a shame your staff leave you down!

A nice space for a hot drink and the lunches look nice enough for your standard cafe food (soup, toasties etc) although I haven’t tried any so can only comment further on the drinks. We ordered two hot chocolates but disappointingly there is no option for cream and marshmallows - they’re the best bit! Now that the hot chocolate weather is upon us, I would go elsewhere for a cosy mug of the sweet stuff. Shame.

A bit tired of the usual coffee shop chains, we were delighted to discover this literally awe-inspiring establishment in the heart of Mumbles, located in a church yet clearly run on a professional basis. Lunch was very good, with friendly staff who greeted us, and served us sandwiches (egg mayo and chicken mayo with side salad and crisps), freshly made lattes followed by cake - the selection on offer was a challenging choice as we would have opted for them all! We were very satisfied with the plain and chocolate Victoria sponges. We will definitely go back and enjoy the food and drinks within this historic building. Thank you!

Spending the afternoon in Mumbles we decided to stop for tea in Theo’s café. Tucked away on the ground floor of Mumbles Methodist church, the café is modern but decorated in keeping with the 1877 building that houses it. You enter through an elaborately carved stone archway, and as well as the café there’s a gift shop and second hand book shop on the premises. The church has been re-located upstairs. The café has plenty of seating, and a wide choice of food on the menu, ranging from soups, salads and sandwiches to homemade cakes. I had a pot of tea and a slice of coffee and walnut cake. There was enough tea for two cups, and the cake was a generous size and delicious. The total bill was £3.10, which I thought was excellent value. The staff were pleasant and helpful and, after choosing your food at the counter, they deliver it to your table. Glad we found it.

Very disappointed in the service we had. Me and a follow work colleague supported a gentleman with autism and learning disabilities to this cafe to have a cake with ice cream. The owner came and seated us and seemed very friendly. A lovely waitress came over took our order and said it wouldn't be long. A few minutes later the owner of the cafe came over and said “3 people for one dessert?” I replied explaining that we were working and just supporting the gentleman out and explained that he had learning disabilities, to which he replied “you cant even afford a coffee”. I then told him that my financial situation was irrelevant. He then proceeded to tell us we had to sit outside as it was lunch time and we were taking a table for customers that might want lunch, bearing in mind it was heavily raining. I said this would not be possible as we had already sat down and ordered our food. He told us that next time we would have to sit out side for such a small order. We then told him it was fine we wouldnt be coming back after this due to the rudeness. He said it was not rude but it’s lunch time, and they serve food not just cakes. Again not seeing the issue as we did pay for a cake and ice cream. At this point I said that i would be leaving a review online. He then changed his tune very quickly and offered us free coffee or waffle which then insulted us further due to the comment made about not being able to afford a coffee, we declined this and said we would leave as soon as the cake had been eaten. He then hovered trying to apologise for the rudeness, we said we appreciated the apology but that it was too late for that and that we would not be returning.
