The Cwtch Cafe & Bar in Swansea

We had a private party booked with The Cwtch. From booking through to the pwrty itself the staff were amazing, really helpful making suggestions for the decor, how many to cater for etc. On the night the food not only looked stunning but tasted amazing. The decor was spot on with the colours I asked for and everyone loved the added novelty of the photo booth. Thank you so much to the staff there for everything that you did - we had a ball!

Thank you for helping us celebrate a lovely baby shower today. Service and food was lovely. Welcoming staff and attention to detail prior to arriving and on day. The venue, we used downstairs was beautiful and you really don't need to do much as the decor is already lovely. Would recommend for any event.

Staff here are lovely but the owners mistreat them and talk bad about customers.

Absolutely beautiful food we had here! My wife and 2 children pick this cafe every time we are in Swansea city centre! By far the best breakfast and coffee in town! Staff were really polite and friendly. Special mention for Antonio as he made sure we had all that we wanted. Definitely recommend to all!

My daughter had her bay shower here today very disappointed and feel very let down, we had 30 guest all paying £17.50 each the service was awful and the attitude of the manager was disgusting. One tea pot on the table didn’t go around 4 people so I asked for another pot of tea which I was told to wait waited 20 mins still no tea. Asked for boxes to be done for the people who couldn’t attend as they had paid their money. Once baby shower had finished boxes weren’t there asked the Manager who said her name was Ashleigh give me a awful look and basically told me must have been taken!!! I asked to speak to a manager as her attitude was awful she advised she was the manager and looked me up and down. Very disappointed and hurt my daughter was in tears coming out as the service was bad and my daughter feels like she let he guests down by bringing them there.

I had my baby shower here and the service and standard of the food was disgusting! For such an aesthetically pleasing looking venue the staff are so rude and the food was so skimpy and tasteless, really disappointed as it wasn’t cheap at all. What we paid included the use of a Photo Booth, there were two baby showers at once so we had the Photo Booth for the first hour but it was tucked away and I was not made aware it was ready to use so we missed that! The managers response was “I told the one in a blue dress” who was just a guest in my shower! She knew who I was so therefore I thought she would approach me to let me know. We choose the afternoon tea package and we asked for a refill of tea and were huffed and puffed at. 4 people couldn’t attend so we asked for their food to be boxed up, they boxed 4 servings up and chucked 2 before we had chance to take them and the managers response to that was “well they were there” . Overall really disappointed with the service , atmosphere, and standard of food.

I took away a star because the food wasn't as hot as I expected and bacon was way too salty.. I tried the Welsh breakfast , for the first time, which was interesting. Not a fan of seaweed but not reason why I'm giving lower stars. Lower stars were due to the hotness of food and bacon being salty. Partner had the English breakfast called the cwtch. Coffee was great. Drank two mochas. Service was good. Atmosphere wise it felt like the place needed to be cleaned. Cute decor though.

Beautiful inside. Well worth a visit. Huger selection of food and drinks. Perfect cup of tea - must have been made with angels tears! I wish I could stay forever.

I would like to preface my review by saying I have no desire to ruin the reputation of a small business. However, there are things that I could not ignore. Straight away, the manager (dark brown/black hair) was very rude and blunt. I did not enjoy the impression she gave and she seemed very snappy. As for the other members of staff, I felt rather uncomfortable as they seemed to be very “cliquey” and judgemental. Not the type of atmosphere I want when trying to eat a donut!!! As for the donut, well, it may as well have given me diabetes! I have never in my life tasted as much sugar and it was not at all enjoyable. My daughter opted for a meal, and it was clear that the cutlery and plates were very dirty and still had food on them from a previous meal! Very off putting. The restaurant itself was not bad to look at although the floors were rather sticky and slippy- not good for my hip! I would suggest a change in staff and perhaps some customer service training for the manager. Sandra

We hosted a private function at The Cwtch recently and it was a fantastic venue. It’s the perfect space for a party with a delicious buffet and incredibly kind and helpful staff. Highly recommended

We had the best birthday party at Cwtch for our daughter’s 18th birthday- staff were hugely accommodating and supportive- the food was delicious and well presented, the decorations were excellent and we would highly recommend. Thank you

Cwtch hosted my baby shower and I have to say did an absolutely beautiful job at decorating and supplying food. Matched to my theme perfectly and made the whole ordeal stress free. Can’t thank enough, had a lovely day!

We escaped out of the rain and had a blumming lovely cup of coffee with a bacon sandwich, and a sausage sandwich! Sandwiches were delicious - lovely bread, thick bacon, piping hot! Great service - we will definitely be back!

I've been to The Cwtch for coffees and lunches and found out they did venue bookings. So I booked the venue for my 30th - the process was easy and there are so many options to choose from. On the night, the staff were really welcoming, friendly and accommodating! The buffet provided was incredible and everyone loved it. There's plenty of space and the atmosphere was perfect. So glad I picked The Cwtch! I would highly recommend the venue to anyone! Thank you again to the fantastic staff and The Cwtch as a whole!

Dissapointing afternoon tea, very poor quality for the price of £17.50 pp few finger sandwiches one had a measly slice of the thinnest cheapest quality ham that you can buy. Not what you expect on an afternoon tea.

We had our wedding party here…as we got had married abroad and wanted to have a celebration with the people that couldn’t make it on the day! Amazing service, staff and food! The venue is so lovely and was perfect for what we wanted! Thanks all for making our day so special

Amazing food! Can’t recommend this place highly enough, as it’s a proper hidden gem! Myself and my partner both ordered the fried chicken bagel (which came with a side of fries!) and a side of halloumi. The food came out piping hot, a big portion and it looked amazing! It filled our bellies and our main dish was only £9 each which is very reasonably priced! We will defo be back again, as there’s lots more on the menu we would love to try!! Thanks to everyone at the cwtch :)

Hosted my friends hen party here on Saturday and couldn’t have asked for better service, food or venue! The basement is beautiful, the staff were accommodating of the decorator I had in proper to the event, and throughout the whole afternoon they were so happy to help with any queries! And to top it off? The food and drinks were exquisite! Highly recommend any events at The Cwtch ☺️

Amazing venue, very impressive! . From the decor to the afternoon tea graze table, every little detail was executed well. The communication with the venue was easy and there was always someone on hand who was happy to help. We were allowed to arrive early and dress the room with our own decorations which eased the running of the day & the bar staff were amazing and really with the atmosphere of the night. Would definitely recommend to others and hire for future events.

I took my daughter for an afternoon of shopping and lunch in Swansea as a treat after a hospital apt in Morriston. We asked a shop assistant in Zara where she'd recommend and she suggested The Cwtch. We're so glad we came here...staff were friendly and polite.. service was quick...and the food was amazing! I had the falafel bowl and my daughter had pancakes with bacon and maple syrup. Both dishes were high quality food sourced from quality, local independent suppliers. All at a reasonable cost. Will definitely recommend this fantastic find. Well done to the staff and owner.

I had such a positive experience when I booked my friends hen with the cwtch! They sorted out everything for me which took a massive weight off my shoulders and the end result looked amazing! Initially I forgot to book one of the packages and when I realised (about two weeks before the date), they were so sound and sorted out everything with no issues. They were so easy to communicate with prior to the hen do too. At the hen party the boys behind the bar were so helpful and friendly and the attendees said how nice they were and how lovely the graze board was (especially the sausage rolls) so thank you so much! Couldn’t recommend you guys more!

Had lunch with a few work colleagues here today before I get married on Friday. The staff were so lovely and food was delicious. I had the falafel bowl and would definitely have it again

Website and the menu outside state the cafe opens at 9- but when a group of us turned up just after 9 (on a Wednesday) we were told we couldn’t come in as it wasn’t open until 9.30

Had my daughters Yr 6 prom. Antonio was very accommodating and place looked amazing. Wonderful barman tolerated a lot of 11 year old boys asking for beer/vodka/prosecco. Food was phenomenal especially the donuts and the biscoff rockyroad. Will definitely be booking more parties there if they will have us ☺️🥰

I booked the basement for my sister hen do and it was fantastic! We had the afternoon tea style graze which was outstanding and we had a private bar manned by Max who went above and beyond, who was professional throughout. I would definitely recommend The Cwtch to anyone thinking of booking a private function!

I can’t thank Nicole and the staff enough for my baby shower on Sunday. They literally went above and beyond. Even with a slight mix up over the food, they couldn’t do enough for me and got everything sorted in time for my guest arriving. Absolutely brilliant time! Had my wedding reception here, could not have asked for more, the food was lush! So many compliments about the food, staff out do themselves with service, we had the decorations done with them aswell and it was way better than the reference pictures I had sent them, we also had the Photo Booth, I think we ended up using that more than our phones to take pictures it gave such good lighting 😂, would highly recommend hiring for any event or even just booking a table for some food!. Nice little place. High tea on mother's day was acceptable and tasty. Improvements in my opinion would be, pastries served warm also the scones. Tea and coffee to be left with you on the table. And bit naf to have a restriction on the table. Service pleasant. The atmosphere could be better.

I had a wonderful evening for my Hen party in the function room. The food was amazing (one one of my favourite places to come for brunch on a weekend), the singer that they sourced was great and the cocktail making was really good fun. If you’re looking for a great breakfast made from local food sources, then this is the place to go! The staff are very friendly and the food was tasted amazing, and also very fresh. The cafe also make there own tasty snacks such as Brownies, Doughnuts and Rocky Roads, if you’ve got a sweet tough you will not be disappointed by these.

Beautiful venue! I hired the basement room for my friends baby shower, and it was the perfect space! Firstly the decor and bar was lovely, so it made decorating super easy as just the venue looks amazing! The afternoon tea food we had was delicious and everyone enjoyed! We had such a fab afternoon.. I would highly reccomend this venue for any functions/parties and for food! The staff were very friendly also :)

We booked a private afternoon tea for a baby shower at the cwtch, food was lovely staff were really attentive and on hand to help with queries. Decor is modern and the place has a really relaxed vibe, baby shower party really enjoyed and will definitely be returning.

Decided to have our Christmas party at the cwtch. Great venue, the food was amazing, organised and friendly staff. Very close to wind street which was also a bouns for people who wanted to carry on the night 10/10

The waitress was rude, impolite and not good at dealing with customers They don't even deserve one star She told me that outside drinks are not allowed, and I said to her, okay, and at the same moment I told my friends that I will wait for you outside. I did not finish my words until she asked me to go out You must learn how to deal more professionally and ethically with all customers By the way the smell of the place is disgustin

We recently booked the Cwtch for our Daughter’s leaving party the venue was perfect and the team at the Cwtch couldn’t do enough to help , they went above and beyond to make the party a success, the food was fantastic and the staff friendly and helpful . Lovely little cafe, gorgeous decor! We had a delicious breakfast, food was nicely cooked and presented beautifully. Staff were friendly and happy. Our dog was allowed in to, which was really nice.

Really good entertainment recommend it to everyone

This is a great place to eat right in the middle of Swansea. The staff are friendly and welcoming whilst the menu seems to have an Australian brunch feel crossed with Middle Eastern food. My wife loved the smashed avocado with smoked salmon whilst I loved the Turkish eggs served on a bed of yoghurt infused with garlic and chilli oil, both dishes were served with butter sour dough. There is a wonderful menu and it was tricky knowing what to select, they also offer a tasty range of pastries. As we were having lunch we had some wine and beer off their short list. The service was excellent, we will certainly visit again next time we are in Swansea.

Best coffee we had in Swansea, also delicious and wide range of veggie lunch/brunch and cakes. We went back a second time as we enjoyed it so much the first. Had brunch the first day and lunch the second. Highly recommended. Pancakes looked divine too.

Our American visitors 🇺🇸 took a trip from our home in Mumbles to Swansea city centre today. Their first foray on their own in Wales. They made a real golden find as they lunched st The Cwtch Cafe. Our visitors from Little Rock in Arkansas had such a wonderfully royal Welsh 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 welcome from the staff at The Cwtch and they also thoroughly enjoyed their superb lunch there. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 THANK YOU to all the staff at The Cwtch for making a day in Swansea such a pleasure for our American guests. 🤗🤗

The staff are friendly and attentive. The decor is inviting, nostalgic but modern. The Turkish eggs were to die for. What a little gem. Just turn the music down a bit and boom.
