Rachel and Kayleigh are assets to the company and community. Pub mascot Simba is friendly and cute. Wonderful place to be. Raspberry woo woo cocktail is outstanding and bubblegum ice-cream is to die for. Need to add macaroni cheese to the menu

The Farmers I have been here for years, but as a result of their change in policy to: You can only come if you buy a meal! I haven't been back here since, unfortunately. But if this has changed, then a response from them reference this would be 👍 great. Their food is very good normally and the staff are very friendly and welcoming. Other than that, I would recommend meals or group bookings.

Really surprised at how downhill this pub has gone. It really does not look like it does in the pictures. Man in the restaurant was quite rude got told to sit in the bar which was really rough. Disappointed. Bar lady pleasant but not the place to take family to.

Just had an outstanding Mother's day carvery in the Farmers Arms Pontarddulais, plenty of choice, piping hot and quick service. No room for a pudding but they obliged by giving us a takeaway pudding of our choice. Excellent staff, nothing was too much trouble for them. Will look forward to returning, but have heard its closing in April which will be a huge blow as its seems whoever is running it now has done an excellent job of reviving a lost cause. Well done and I hope they review the closure as it will be a great loss.

Best Christmas Dinner around proper great pub

Amazing “homemade” Xmas lunch today, staff were extra friendly without being cheesy, service was spot on, tons of food, too much to be honest and the price can not be matched, there was even two bottles of fizz on ice on the table waiting for us…We will be back

Bought a pint at 'stop tap', only to be told a couple of minutes later to pour my drink into a plastic cup and leave.

We had a great lunch out at this pub ,first time going there . Food was great . Will be returning for sure ,they made us all feel very welcome.

Not easily impressed, but this place has just put the 2nd best place to shame. Everything was perfect, and for once, the cauliflower cheese actually had cheese sauce and lots of it.Plenty of slow cooked meats,superb veg,crisp homemade roast, homemade Yorkshire puds and stuffing, instead of Aunt Bessie's council balls . And only £7.95!!!! Homemade desserts were only £2 extra. Had Homemade lasagne and hand cut chips there too,which was also superb.Can't believe the value with the prices too.Well done indeed.

Friday karaoke night is fun and everyone gets involved also now the kitchen is open again nice warm meals and ice cold drinks

We called into the farmers arms it’s a great local pub, two good size rooms one for eating and other predominantly a bar food looks fantastic friendly staff and customers lovely beer garden with limited parking good pub worth a visit

Decent pub food, service OK, however there are better establishments within the same price range locally

I’ve visited before in the evening and had a great meal. I decided to call in for Sunday lunch. I was not disappointed, I had the fish cakes to start followed by the beef, both were fantastic. I have to say the beef was superb, thick melt in your mouth slices. Highly recommended. Try it, you’ll thank me.

Christmas Dinner at The Farmers Arms,thoroughly enjoyed the Christmas Dinner today. Received a very warm welcome from Will and the food was outstanding, fresh, plenty of vegetables and potatoes, excellent gravy! Really enjoyed the meal and will definitely return. Would highly recommend The Farmers Arms. Restaurant is really well laid out for Christmas with crackers and Christmas music, a lot of effort has been made. Waiter was most helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Christmas Day menu looks excellent and if it’s half as hood as today, I wish I was there on 25th! Definitely worth a try !

My father and I visited the Farmers yesterday for Sunday Lunch, to see whether the good rumours I had heard recently about the new chef and his food were correct. They are and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The food was very, very tasty. The decor has been updated recently and is bang up to date. We did not have to wait long for our food, even though it was pretty busy, with lots of the other tables taken. My Dad and I ordered the same things from the 3 course menu. Like Father like son! We just like the same things. Starters were garlic mushrooms served on a brioche bun with a balsamic style drizzle. It tasted fantastic. We both had the beef for mains. The beef was just how I like it. Falling apart and delicious. Yorkshire and veggies also delicious, though I am not a fan of cauliflower so avoided that. Plenty of gravy for gravy lovers, with a boat supplied for each diner. Pudding was lemon meringue pie which was really nice, but maybe a little sweet for my palate. I'll have the chocolate brownie next time. All the puddings are make in-house. Service was attentive, but not intrusive. All in all, a really great experience, brilliant value for money and heartily recommended.

Second visit to The Farmers in Bont, this time to give the main menu a go (previously visited for Sunday lunch). I had the steak with triple cooked chips which was fantastic. The chips were the best I have ever tasted. I also had salted caramel cheesecake for dessert which was out of this world. Highly recommended. Will be returning again soon.

They lacked stock for most things on their menu, we had to change our order twice both myself and my partner on a Saturday evening. We looked passed this at the time, only to be brought the wrong order of drinks, dirty cutlery to eat with. We were the only other couple in the restaurant bar 1 other table and it took us over an hour wait for food. I could not eat my main due to the steak being so tough I had to removed it into my napkin. And my partners burger was so dry with a portion of triple cooked chips he only had two bites before we actually left it on the table and spoke to the waitress. Then left. Although they removed my main from the bill, this time consuming evening still cost us £30 for food hardly touched. We thought we would try due to seeing very good reviews, but be wary.

Went there today 4th September for lunch and I have to say the food was fantastic. Fresh homemade chicken burger was out of this world. Staff are friendly and made the experience even better. Free coffee was a bonus. Thank you

Had a Sunday dinner there for the first time. The restraunt was clean and well set out. A young lady served us who was very polite. Dinner was nicely presented with an adequate tureen of vegetables. I had the nut roast which was delicious. Sadly the gravy let it down for me as it was very watery. But other than the gravy it was very nice.

Nice place to visit for a quiet pint. Didn't spend long there, so I can't really put my opinion across. They do food and and there's a bar there.

Got to be the best food i've had in a pub (way above pub-grub!!) around this area for years. Would have got 5 stars but my steak, although perfectly cooked, was a bit tough. Prepared to put this down to last it being one of a few on the shelf after a hectic bank holiday weekend. We will be back.

The fountain been a favourite of mine for a long time and still is. But the farmers arms tonight was excellent and I would ask everyone in bont to visit so we have 2 great restaurants here.

Large group of us. Only couple had starters .. the welsh egg is lush. Mains -steaks were great but pepper sauce needs fixing / too thick & too hot! Lush chips...Lamb shank & mash ok but again the jus needs fixing. Italian platter - was tasty.. maybe few sun dried tomatoes would be nice with it & rocket. Will def visit again. Chef very interested in feedback .. not like some places I could mention ! Thank you

I can actually say this was the poorest Sunday lunch I have ever had being quite a connoisseur. 2 thin slices of beef placed on top of 2 roast potatoes (were not crisp and tasteless). Veg consisted of 1 boiled potato in skin cut in half, 3 pieces of carrot, 1 chunk of cauliflower and a little bit of purple cabbage. No greens are you serious!!!!!! The lunch was completely tasteless. I was charged the same price per menu to eat in. £9.95 one

We come here quite a bit for a drink as its local to us so we decided to have food here. Will definitely be returning. I have the sirloin steak and it was cooked to perfection (blue). My other half had the lamb shank with mash which was also fantastic.

Second visit for food since opening under new management. 1st time food great well cooked but not enough on plate.

We have visited this pub for drinks a few times and the beer garden is ok, so we thought we would try their Sunday lunch in the restaurant section.

Hadn’t booked but restaurant was quiet, we were shown to a table and drinks order taken. We both ordered the sirloin steak, both meals were superb.

Thought we would give this place a try since it's not long opened again,and the food was always quite good before. Alas this was not to be on this occasion. We went for Sunday lunch. Three options for meat... Beef, turkey or nut roast. I chose the beef and turkey. The veg was to be seasonal. The beef was running with blood, and the turkey just taste of black pepper. None of the meat or veg was warm enough. The veg selection was new potatoes, chantay carrots (unpeeled and with stalks still on) cauli, red cabbage and roasted parsnips. Unfortunately for me, the parsnips looked lovely, but I don't like parsnips so didn't get to try them. The gravy was watery with a thick top of fat/grease. Really didn't enjoy mine, and hubby, who isn't very fussy at all, didn't enjoy it either. We had a check back after a few minutes of being served our meal, but only my hubby answered it was okay. The waitress was gone before I got to answer. So at the end when she came to take our plates and asked if everything was okay, I said I didn't enjoy it at all. The manager? then came out and requested feedback, taking it all well. And to be fair, he did deduct the cost of our drinks (1xpint 1 coke) from the bill. I had to go back home and eat a sandwich as I was still hungry. So its a big NO from us. Which is unfortunate as it could have been our go to local for food.

6 of us dined here and 5 out of the 6 were very happy with their mains. The one who wasn’t felt that her pasta dish was a bit to oily. The chips were a bit oily too but that’s only a minor issue overall. The place looks modern and is very nicely presented. The staff seem friendly and are all trying to give a good service. overall a decent meal in a nice environment

After having a Sunday lunch at the Farmers a few weeks ago we decided to go again for a Saturday evening meal, we were not disappointed. The food was absolutely beautiful. I had the Welsh egg to start not quite sure what to expect, it was the nicest starter I have ever had, the chef deserves an award, I had the steak and cheese board to follow and both were also excellent.

Excellent Sunday roast service was great highly recommend a visit we’ve booked again for the daily menu looking forward to it ✅😋

Awful. We were meeting friends and couldn't get into the pub up the road as the parking was full, so tried this pub. Heckled by drunken locals as soon as we walked into the public bar. Asked to sit in the restaurant but told 'no' as we weren't eating. Intimidated and shouted at the whole time we sat there, as they said we were in their seats and to shut up talking and leave. We did when we had finished our drinks. The lad behind the bar did nothing, either too afraid or couldn't care less. Worst experience in a pub ever. Never again.

My three friends and I visited tonight Fri 5th July. We had a beautiful meal. I had the chicken with leek and chips and it was delicious. Had rainbow cheesecake for dessert which was lovely. Excellent service from Kieran. Will definitely be back.

We went here to try out this newly opened restaurant and what a find it proved to be. The food was excellent and the presentation matched the taste and high standard of the food. Not your usual pub grub here, but well presented tasty dishes. I had the fish whilst my husband had the burger which was clearly homemade with onion rings that were also obviously home made. Absolutely delicious. Think this will become a regular place for us to eat. The decor was lovely and the prices were very reasonable.

It was a last minute phone call to have Sunday lunch we were told there was 2 times available one at 4.00pm and one at 12.00pm which was our preferred time we arrived just before 12.00 and were greeted by a friendly member of staff who showed us to our table and took our drinks order, we only required a main meal (this time). We placed our order and were quickly served our meals with a very high standard for a public house and the portion size for me was perfect and would recommend The Farmers Arms for Sunday Lunch to friends and family will be going there again for an evening meal in the near future

We had a wonderful evening here. The menu is quite different and portions a little on the small side, however the food was delicious and upmarket. All courses were very tasty & the place felt very welcoming and friendly.

Have been waiting for the Farmers restuarant to open and we were not disappointed. Not your run of the mill bar food but classy dishes with a wide range of choice, we both had avocado, crab and chorizo starter then lamb shank and chicken stuffed with cheese and leek. Had mentioned while booking I was lactose intolerant and the chef was called out straight away to make any adjustments like no butter in the mash. Ordered crumble for afters, waiter came to say would be a short wait as chef was making a butter free crumble, which was delicious. We will be calling again and trying something differant. Also specials board available. Very tasteful decor with pictures of Pontarddulais by local artist and old photos.

We called in for Sunday lunch on the opening weekend and thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The fish cake starter was excellent and a very generous portion and the main meals were all very tasty. Child friendly and great service! Will be returning soon!

Called in for the first night of the newly refurbished restaurant. Very impressed. Great atmosphere and an outstanding meal. A good range of food on the menu and very well priced. The red wine recommended was excellent. I would recommend the 'Welsh egg' starter, really tasty. The staff were friendly to boot. A great night and I will return soon.

We had the privilege of being the first customers in the newly-refurbished restaurant, although it filled up shortly afterwards. The room itself is large, airy and comfortably furnished. The quality of food is excellent, with good portions at reasonable prices. Service was efficient and very friendly, and the venture deserves to be very successful. Highly recommended.

I visit this pub about twice a month. Decent enough but lacks a 'local' atmosphere. Ale pumps invariably dead, otherwise quite a range of lagers, spirits and bottled stuff. No food though, which is what Farmers was renowned for over the years. Rear beer garden tatty, better out front. Fingers crossed that it will improve with time

Absolutely horrible! We had gone to the Farmers for a family Sunday dinner. When food arrived the quality was awful! There was plenty of veg to go around the 6 of us but as they say quality not quantity. The mash potatoes was hard and lumpy and the sweed just did not taste right.... my nephew (1 year old) then woke, so me and my mother got him a high chair to give him some food..... the state on the high chair was disgusting!!! There was food all over the tray and rips in the seat for me this is not acceptable! My younger cousins then wanted dessert so we called a member of staff over... she was simply clueless and had to get another member of staff to tell us what 2 desserts the had available! When the chocolate fudge cake arrived it was freezing cold and solid! My grandfather and mother wanted tea so the lady brought it over for them.... the state on the cups again was awful! As a family we will not be returning to the Farmers as our experience there was far from plesent! We can't believe how they have achieved a 5 in there food hygiene rating as the place was stinking!!!

Mi marido y yo reservamos un almuerzo de domingo en el Mothering agricultores. Llegamos a la 1. 55 por 2 o'clock para sentarse. Nos llevaron a nuestra mesa y me tomó nuestra orden de inmediato. Tuvimos un poco de pan de ajo y gambas cóctel que estaba delicioso. Tuve la cena de carne y mi esposo la Turquía. La carne era deliciosa se derretía en la boca llegó con relleno de Yorkshire y roasties. Las verduras era guisantes zanahorias repollo y patatas financiarlo también muy bonito. Cena muy agradable domingo sin duda llamar gracias x

Friendly Pub, New chef with good good

Called in the Farmers for a quick bite and the 2 meals for £10 not a bad meal at all and a good selection. You pay at the bar and the food is brought to your table.

La comida estaba bien para 2 por 10 libras pero luego al final de la comida nos enteramos de que tenía la causa mayor de comida la camarera no nos dimos cuenta de que pedimos desde el 2 por 10 libras! No se puede poner ninguna menos en el plato a menos que en donde va a cortar la hamburguesa y perros calientes en medio

Hemos manejado pasado el Farmers muchas veces, pero nunca hemos estado en. Esta noche nos pareció que nos gustaría aprovechar el "los niños comen gratis" ofrecen y intentarlo. El menú era variada, con mucha variedad. Pedimos dos comidas principales, un bistec y barbacoa mixta que nos permitía una comida gratis para el muchacho que estaban cuidando. Sólo esperamos durante un corto período de tiempo para la comida. Las dos comidas principales eran fabulosos, cocinado a la perfección, porciones generosas y caliente. La comida del niño era caliente, sabroso y con un tamaño razonable de la porción. La señorita que nos sirvió fue muy atentos, simpáticos y amables. No cabe duda de que los agricultores usan el nuevo. Si te gusta la buena comida a un precio razonable, puedo recomendar el Farmers.

Estuve en el Farmers con mi madre para una comida a la hora del almuerzo entre semana y no fue una experiencia que nunca olvidará. Por todas las razones equivocadas.
