I love the atmosphere and drinks , and musics were definitely amazing !

I give it three stars because even though the food and the (Spanish) beers are not worth it, the atmosphere and the attention of the camrer@s is unbeatable. The services, the sink area is very nice, which is the service itself that is regular.

The food was okay. I was very excited to have pil-pil as it is one of my favorite dishes but the restaurant didn’t have any seafood and waited for sustainable supplies so I tried two new dishes. I needed to add quite a lot of salt to enhance the flavors. I ordered my food and they forgot my second dish, the waitress was really nice and gave me a drink on the house so I ordered a non-alcoholic mojito while I waited for my food. The mojito was warm and didn’t taste so good but I did appreciate the act 😊 I might give this place a second visit to see if they have pil-pil 😁

Food is just OK and the decor is quirky but when the bill came, there's an "optional" service charge. Why? It doesn't happen in supermarkets, pubs or other industries. Just price the menu properly! We'd already spent a few hundred quid and in all honesty, the service and food wasn't that great, so we were taken aback when the manager rudely and loudly demanded an explanation as to why we hadn't paid it! Wouldn't go again.

Love the idea. 4 starters for £18 really good value, various meat plates served small and cold, no fish plates available 🙁🙁 The bread was white French stick - expecting some sort of flat bread. Red wine we ordered said it was 14% on the menu bottle said 13%- we questioned if it was the wine we had actually ordered - completely ignored, no apology, explanation or credit. Side door opened left open for smokers- really cold Automatic 10% service charge

It was quiet and only my 2 friends and I on a Tuesday evening but they stayed open till after 11pm. The chorizo tapas was very tasty and I enjoyed the Spanish beer. I loved the decor and atmosphere of the place (even with just the 3 of us).

What a great place, almost like travelling back in time to old time Morocco. I didn't eat, so cannot comment on the food personally, but my friends thought it was yummy. More of a hang out. Great for cocktails. Can't wait to go again.

We came across this place by accident as we were staying on the same road and were hungry when we checked in. The food was excellent, especially the chicken tagine and the tinto de veranos were very reminiscent of Spain (don’t think I’ve actually ever seen them outside of Spain before). They don’t take bookings of less than 6 people but this means you’re always likely to get a table, as we managed to on a Friday and Saturday night.

Food was ok. Nothing amazing or outstanding. Just good solid tapas. Drinks were good would highly recommend the golden margarita. Overall would have been so much better had service just been remotely better. Heard another table complain they had not received something they ordered. We had the same issue and had to find a service staff for an order that didn’t arrive. We also had a drink added to our bill which wasn’t ours that was removed. This place could be so much better if they upskill their service staff and had a manager just keep an eye out on the tables.

Wow!! The food is literally incredible! The chicken tagine is one of the best things I have ever eaten! The waiters especially bri (spelt like the cheese without the e) and Brian were lovely and super friendly! The owner was also lovely and took lots of photos of us! And almost forgot I had one of the best margaritas in my life (and I love a margarita). The decor is also crazy and we got to sit on comfy little sofa which was a great touch. Honestly 10/10 would highly recommend.

First visit, with friends who've been before. Excellent choice. Very friendly and accommodating plus yummy food, and wine, of course.

We stumbled upon this place on a random road trip with a friend about a year ago and been coming back on a regular basis ever since. The food is incredible combined with authentic decor and fantastic staff. Heavily recommend. Can't rave about it enough 👌🤤

Food & drink was delicious and well priced. Plenty of choice on all sorts of dishes, including veggie, fish, and meat-based dishes. Staff was very friendly and accommodating even despite our group of 15. The venue is very unique and has a lovely atmosphere. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Cowley.

Grand location on pedestrianised street away from car traffic and exhaust fumes. More such areas must be good for businesses and the public. Good selection of tapas. Could have better selection of non alcoholic cocktails. We were told they did them but they weren’t on the menu.

Kazbar was highly recommended by a friend and it didn't disappoint. The service was great and staff friendly, even on a busy weekend evening, and the food and drinks were amazing. We would say it was the best tapas restaurant we had been to, and we could see why it has been voted the best tapas restaurant in England. We would highly suggest people to give this place a try.

We ordered a mixture of starters, they didn't have the peppers so instead of asking us for an alternative they brought olives which we didn't want. This was pointed out to waiter and we were told there's nothing else. When the bill arrived we were charged for the unwanted / uneaten olives. It wasn't straight forward getting them removed from the bill so we got complimentary bread instead, which incidentally is cheaper than the olives. The standard of food is also very average, lacking flavour. Won't be going back again.

Incredible venue!!!! Wow! It looked amazing from outside but didn’t realised how nice it is inside as well :) it totally took us to Spain :)! We only had drinks and dessert but the drinks were lovely and the creme brûlée was great! Would love to try some cocktails next time :)

Came to Kazbar with some work colleagues for an end of (academic) year celebration and as ever, Kazbar did not disappoint! Fantastic food, great cocktails, such a gorgeous place, lovely (and helpful!) staff. We will be back!!

Fantastic place. Excellent Mediterranean style food. All small plates/tapas, but relatively inexpensive compared to similar style restaurants. Food has always been consistently tasty. Drink selection is great. Highly rate the sangria. The atmosphere is superb. The decor is some of the best in Oxford, in my opinion. Always busy (often hard to get a table as they only do walk ins). Can get quite noisy when sitting next to a full table, but not the end of the world. Staff can be a bit 50/50. We've had some very efficient, cheery, ameniable waiters who have treated us very well. Equally, some who treat you like you've just shot their dog. I've had to go up to the front desk a couple of times because they've ignored the table for 30 minutes or more despite trying to catch their attention. I rarely see the same faces, though, so it's hard to judge them by. It's not a deal breaker for me, but for some, it might be. All in all, it's one of my top 5 spots in Oxford.

It's my favourite place in Oxford. Food is proper Moroccan and Spanish. Service is nice. Bartenders are all nice chaps. Nothing to say, keep it going. Ps. I'm always there!

Great service and very cosy atmosphere. Great tapas. I ordered 3 tapas for 1 person and it was enough.

Lantern fell on my friends head and my hand, shattered glass on me, staff took a very long time to respond, and when we talked to staff they were not polite.

White Sangria was really good, I would definitely have it again. We went as a large group and there was some confusion when the meals came out. They should maybe consider numbering the items as it’s more likely that people will remember. Some of the food was really good, other bits were average.

Fantastic food in a really great restaurant. All the staff were exceptional. Will visit again next time I am in Oxford.

It’s an average place. As someone who lived in Spain for 6 years, I can say that the names are somewhat misleading and do not reflect Spanish dishes in appearance or taste. The ambience is good though.

Always a good choice when the sun is shining. Reasonably priced too.

Filled with beautiful Iberian and North African touches, this relaxed cocktail bar was a amazing party venue. There were 40 of us here on Monday night and nothing was too much bother for the wonderful staff who kept churning out the cocktails and tapas. Thanks to the reduced traffic on the local streets, Kazbar is now just a short, pleasant walk away. Would 10/10 recommend and will be back here soon.

Cool place with excellent atmosphere and some level of access. So, you can get a chair in here with help (double doors need opening) and if you do then the food and atmosphere will make it worth it. So, first things first. Food: lots of amazing tapas available here for sharing and everything tastes great! You can have cocktails and quite a large selection of alcohol. The music is great. There are seats outside and inside and the side windows open up so that you've got breeze or sun. Atmosphere: this place has a bar type of feel even in the day. But it's relaxed. Not a place for dancing or anything and not sleepy. Food comes fast and music is relatively low but still bar style. A lot of manu chao and similar. Service: excellent all day all the time.

Had a lovely evening, great atmosphere. We had delicious tapas and had churros for desert. The red wine sangria was lovely. Would definitely recommend a visit to Kazb 😁ar

It had been a number of years since I had eaten at Kazbar and I’m not sure why I had left it so long?! We were due to go for dinner in a close by restaurant as a group of 8 and we had stopped...

Food is good but the service was horrible.

Extremely poor service and the manager was rude and the staff didn’t have an hospitality attitude. Wouldn’t recommend to friends and family.

Was really disappointed with the service. The lady in black who I think was the manager was extremely rude. The staff took a lot of time to take orders. The bartender and server (Olivia I think)where really good apart from that we taught it was a really bad service by other team members.

Spanish/maroccan vibes, nice music, delicious food and, on top of it, kind people will help you in your choice of food and drinks. Definitely a place to go with friends and or family.

Surprisingly poor customer service from multiple staff. They constantly interrupted our meal to try and get us to buy more food or finish quickly. Would not recommend - overpriced and disappointing.

Feels like you have been transported to Morocco! Fabulous tapas style food, plenty of choice for meat lovers, vegetarian, spicy or mild. Quality is excellent and the atmosphere and general ambiance makes it special. Staff are friendly and we all had a great time.

Cosy atmosphere, decor and vibes were exceptional. Fantastic cocktail selection. We ordered every single meat based dish and they ranged from delicious to average. Some of the dishes were awkwardly portioned for sharing amongst a group (e.g. we shared 2 meatballs between 4) so I’d suggest taking the staffs’ recommendations. A decent spot to go to for something a bit different.

What an amazing place to visit for a bite to eat and to see friends! It was recommended to me by a former student and friend of mine, and other searches online also pointed us in the direction of Kazbar. We were greeted as a table of 6 on a Saturday evening with little to no delay (we should have booked in advance, in hindsight) and the servers were quick and attentive. Unfortunately there was no fish on the menu but they were savvy with their explanation (wanting to protect the environment). Food was great, nice and hot, and the bill was not too bad. Around £16 pp for a drink and 3 tapas!

Honestly it's like stepping into a different country! We had the sangria & mainly the meat tapas, which were fantastic. The staff were friendly & the place was humming even on a Thursday!

Third time I’ve been here and I love it. I have this urge to give it 4 stars because it is a bit dark in there and my tummy doesn’t feel well right now so the idea of eating here isn’t as appealing as normal but the chicken, ribs, potatoes, dips and bread, and butter beans are soooo good. Next time I wouldn’t get the lamb, not because it’s bad, but because it sounds better on the menu than it actually is (wanted a bit more flavour and for it to be a bit more tender).

Food standard is average to poor. Pork ribs was the worst, very dry. Give credit to the decor. Cannot book, defiantly not worth the wait if there is a queue.

Great ambiance. Felt like you were in a Moroccan Road the minute you walked in. Staff paid good attention to diners/customers.

The food has nothing to do with actual spanish or marocain food. Probably one of the worse "tortilla de patatas" I have ever tried. Price and quality do not match very well, expensive... The place itself its nice and cozy and very good music, i would recommend this place for drinks in the evening before or after having a proper dinner in a different place.

We ordered chicken tagine and some starters. They were not my type at all. We also ordered limonades as drink but they did not bring it. The cashier said that the bar is busy this was not acceptable. Overall the atmosphere is really nice and friendly.

Food, that wants to look like the Spanish one, regrettable… Dry potato omelette that doesn't taste like anything, especially since when it was made. Some potatoes with Ali olí that, thanks to the ali olí, had a white color, because the potatoes were black, since when you don't change the oil in the fryer... The potatoes with chorizo, similar to the previous one, but… where was the chorizo? Meatballs, what can I say... two tasteless meatballs. No further comments. In general, everything is reheated in the microwave, for the price you pay for this it is not worth it. I don't think that with this type of food they will leave Spain 🇪🇸 in a good place.

A fantastic selection of tapas - especially the meat options. Was good value for money when sharing amongst a group, and our waitress Raffie was extremely accommodating (and funny).

Food was not very inspiring. Not a great place for vegetarians. For 4 people, the waiting time was around 45-50min on a Saturday night.

Went here for dinner, the mix of Spanish & Moroccan tapas is lovely. The Moroccan feel and style is great. The staff are really friendly and knowledgeable. And the cocktails are really good. Just a lovely place to be with great food, cocktails and lovely people.

Came here recently after reading rave reviews. Enjoyed the food and general decor. However, the staff were inattentive and could have made us feel more welcome. We also had a long wait to pay the bill (and it wasn't very busy). That said, will come again for another drink and some more of the tapas that we didn't get to try.

I can’t say enough about this restaurant. It shares a courtyard with outdoor seating with its’s neighboring restaurant, Cafe Coco. The owner personally checked in on me to make sure that everything was great. Seating is comfortable, food is delicious. The potatoes and chorizo was...

Delicious tapas, highly recommend the chorizo ring and the pork cheek! The menu recommends 2-3 dishes each, but we ended up with 4-5 each, which was about right for our appetites. The service was friendly, but they seemed understaffed with only 3 very busy waitresses for an almost full restaurant.

Fab place to sit outside on a sunny day with some cocktails and tapas

This was always my favourite restaurant on Cowley road but they taken off the menu my favourite drink there hibiscus. The food still good quality and atomsphere, decor is magical as you feel like you're on holiday coming here.
