The restaurant made us feel very unwelcome. We arrived there 45 minutes before they changed over to their dinner menu. At first they didn’t want to give us a table but then the manager said we could stay but had to be out before 7pm. They did not show us to a table so we chose one - the waitress pulled a face because we happened to have chosen a table already laid for dinner - but obviously we didn’t know that. They made us feel like we were a nuisance . Clearly we will never go back.

This is my favourite restaurant. It ticks all the boxes. To begin with, it's easy to park. The food is consistently good. Extensive menu covers for lots of preferences. Staff here are attentive and are nice and very friendly. The location has its benefits being in Brent Cross Shopping Centre. For me it's local and the restaurant is spacious with a vibrant atmosphere. Prices are very reasonable and it competes attractively with all the other kosher places in the surrounding areas.

The best food, and service. I had a nice evening with my family, food was very delicious. Staff was very helpful and nice smiling. I recommended with pleasure I will come back to the Kanteen.

I was at this restaurant with my friend and we had both our babies with us. The kids were hungry so we started feeding them their food (we had with us) before we ordered however 5 mins later we were told feeding the babies their food wasn’t permitted as it is a Kosher restaurant. We were baffled as we had both never been to a restaurant that said no to babies eating their own food! Even after explaining the baby food is vegetarian the waitress persisted with the restaurant policy. We had to leave the restaurant with the babies still wearing their bibs so we could continue feeding them elsewhere. Completely appalled at this establishment.

Arrived for lunch as a family of 4. We were seated promptly, but then forgotten about for 20 mins. I wouldn’t mind too much, but in the meantime, several other tables arrived and had their orders taken. We waved at the servers several times, but it wasn’t until going to the counter to speak with them directly that I was told they would ‘come soon’. 5 minutes later, a rude waitress took our order - without any apology. Another rude waitress shouted at me and told me to wait when asking for water. Once our order was placed, the kids received their juices promptly - accompanied by plastic straws (we didn’t request these, so I am sure this is against the law in 2023). No cutlery was given - completely ignored by the server when I requested it. Hats off to the chefs though - they do a good job. The food that did arrive (they missed my husband’s order) was excellent. Will not be visiting again.

Met a friend here for late lunch. They suggested the Pad Thai. First time I have ever has it served with wheat noodles rather than flat rice noodles. Menu said it was spicy- didn't happen!

Very conveniently located. Offering dining with shopping outside of Israel, a rare experience! Enjoyed the tomato and rice soup.

The food was good. The atmosphere was alright. But the issue I had was with 9 members of staff seemingly standing by the till and looking really unimpressed. It wasn’t very welcoming. No check back - the woman just stood by the table with no sort of interaction. It was odd. It was quite expensive too for the experience we had. Didn’t mind paying the cost for the food.

To be truthfull I was so disappointed with this place I had to put this review in. Was there with my mother who is 90 and uses a buggy, when we arrived what little staff available were concentrating looking at the customers inside and not looking outside of people wanted help at their table's. Once we had managed to get some help in sitting outside the lady said she would get somebody to help with our order, after approx 10 mins a young man came out with a bottle of luke worm tape water and cutlery, no pad or pen to take our order, he then disappeared and another gentleman arrived with a pen and pad to take our order. The falafel and humus I ordered was discussting, the falafel was overcooked and dry inside, obviously bought in and frozen, the humus was absolutely tastless, how they have the front to serve this I don't know. The latkas are not only small in size, they have made them to look like onion bhagis but the latkas are also vertically tastless, no seasoning at all. Now the lady who could not take our order could make the bill and take payment from us. Please get your staff to look not just inside of the restaurant but also outside as you have tables outside as well, you need to change your supplier of falafel and humus or make your own,also the latkas eed to be changed in design a d taste.

They were busy so service was very slow but there is no forgiving the poor quality of the food. I ordered the Jumbo potato with tuna. Certainly it was a large undercooked potato but the tuna serving was so small that it barely covered the potato. We had waited nearly 35 minutes for this offering. Prices are ridiculously high for what is served. NEVER AGAIN.

This establishment is worth a visit. Halla bread is second to none and is baked on the premises. The service is fantastic and always with a smile. When in Brent Cross it’s a must visit, and they have restaurant but not tried as yet, but soon will.

Visited for the first time today and will not bother returning. Took quite some time to have our order taken, my husband wanted a Salmon & Cream Cheese Bagel only to be told there was no cream cheese and the only substitute was butter!! Our drinks arrived and they were incorrect so had to be sent back. Eventually our food arrived and my skinny mushroom pizza was rather insipid to say the least and barely any mushrooms on it. The atmosphere was very noisy, the waiting staff seemed to be rushing round with no particular purpose. It was generally quite chaotic and to top it all the toilets were closed due to being out of order. It wasn't exactly cheap and we will not be returning.

I visited this restaurant with a friend for lunch. It took over half an hour before someone finally came to take our order, despite having asked various waitresses several times. I had a toasted avocado sandwich on brown bread because they had run out of ciabatta bread. When the sandwich turned up it was cold and the bread was only partially toasted and felt stale. It wasn’t as if the restaurant was that busy at the time we were there. I certainly wouldn’t go again. Fortunately there are lots of other restaurants to choose from in Brent X.
