Good local boozer. Great garden.

I was welcomed by a cute little dog who followed me around and happily greeted all the subsequent guests the same way. His portrait is hanging on the wall, painted and framed, so he is clearly the mascot of the place. Nice, calm atmosphere, some 90s britpop music and a few smiling, happy locals during a not so busy time of the day. A musician was getting ready to play some tunes. I had a couple of nice, cold ones before heading out.

Traditional local pub serving a good range of real ales. Conservatory and large patio out back. No food as such but the allow carry-ins from local takeaways and provide plates and cutlery.

Less variety of real ales than on previous visits. Orderedthe wrong beer for me as fizzy keg beer was listed on the same board as the real ales

Nice pub with a pleasant atmosphere, lovely pub cat that was wondering all over the place in the pub, good alcohol selection, worth a visit if you are in Norwich.

We came here as part of the 2017 City of Ale trail and I considered it to be the best pub. We returned yesterday, seven years later and loved the place. This time we were visited by the Landlord's lovely little dog.

Really enjoy visiting this Pub. There are a great selection of drinks at reasonable prices. Plenty of space to sit including a great outdoor seating area. There are also 2 pool tables upstairs. Lovely atmosphere here. Worth a visit.

A lovely back street locals type of pub, but not too far from the Railway Station. Nice Real Ales too.

Great atmosphere, TVs showing various sports at the same time. One was rugby. Other was football. Bar staff very friendly. I'd go back again!

Classic corner pub with 5 regularly rotated real ales and a wide range of keg and craft beer and plenty of bottles to choose from. All well kept and with a range of bar snacks. Nice atmosphere with well maintained bar, conservatory and beer garden.

Went in as it was part of my City of Ale trail and found the pub very relaxing and some nice interesting photos on the pub walls , and was visited by the Landlord's dog lovely little chap bit out of the way as i live on the other side of the city.

Amongst the Armada of the 'lovely' fk Molson Coors range they have done excellent beers inc on my visit several from trendy Beartown brewery. Always like this one, proper hidden away corner pub, authentic too

Interesting pub up the hill from the river, and quite close to the station. Good selection of real ales

Has to be one of my favourite pubs to go. If you’re a Guinness drinker this is the place. Arthur pours a lovely pint, little shamrock on the Guinness is a touch. Good music, lovely garden, pool tables what more could you want hey!!

Perfect corner pub reminds me of those up north. Great selection of beers, something to suit everyone from family to friends. Could take your nan, could take your best mate from school, everyone would enjoy it!

Very good pub not far from Norwich Railway Station. 6 cask beers on handpump including a stout. Lots of outdoor seating some of it covered. Not busy before the Spurs game.

Great local pub, the beer was lovely 👍🏻🍺 Also, you can pop over to the chip shop across the road and take your food to eat in the pub. Genius.

Nice place with a cool vibe, but it’s all Arthur’s contribution! He made us feel like home. I’ve never experienced such an amazing customer service!! I’m glad I could enjoy my time on his shift :) X

Great local pub. Super competent staff and a great atmosphere when it's busy- not rowdy, just cheerful- also nice when it's quiet. When the pool tables are back in action in a couple of days, they'll join the beers and ciders as great selling points for this well-run public house.

Still a proper free house, lively atmosphere and great for the football. Pool tables upstairs, dog-friendly and you can eat your favourite takeaway there, has a great garden for the summer too.

One person serving and busy so got another short pint but could not say anything this time as I was in a rush to make an appointment.

I don't like bar staff who stand at the bar on lookong at their phone. It gives the. It gives the impression they don't care for or about the people in the bar.

Great range of local bitters on tap. They allow takeaways to be eaten on premises & provide plates & cutlery. Pub is dog friendly and the dogs were friendly. Trap in the Gents had a seat and a lock on door, and there was hot water at the sink. Important if you order curry in. 10/10!

A standard corner pub selling moderately priced drinks. the bar staff are friendly and you can take your own food in as long as you by a drink. there are board games to play and a nice space to sit outside if it is sunny. It's a good place to go and just chill as it is somewhat off the beaten track but still close enough to town.

Odd pub. Good selection of beers and friendly but they do value their locals over less frequent visitors so you can be in for a wait to get served.

One of the best local pubs you will find in Norwich.

Diabolical. This place used to be great, had a warm atmosphere and a great selection of beers. Bar staff used to be so friendly and knew what they were doing. The new owner has removed all the comfy arm chairs and replaced with church pews. Church pews are designed to be uncomfortable and keep you awake in church. All the good beers seem to be only one barrel a week. The work experience boy behind the bar needs to finish puberty before getting another order wrong.

Lovely little tardis! Looks tiny but very big inside. Great range of beer and ale's including woodfordes, Norfolk's largest brewery.
