I popped in for a beer on early on a Saturday lunchtime. This immediately struck me a friendly 'locals pub'. There was only one real ale on at the time, however, it was in first class condition. The girl serving behind the bar was amazing. She drew off some beer (as the beer had been resting in the system since the evening) before serving us with two perfectly conditioned pints. She was knowledgable and pleasant. All in all a lovely experience that I will be repeating.

Very friendly and quick delivery service even though we live in a notoriously hard to find house. All our food was piping on arrival. The meal itself was super tasty especially the sag paneer. We can’t wait to order again and share this experience with friends and family. Thank you Cinnamon Arch

Whilst staying in Stratford-upon-Avon we wanted a pub & meal that we could sit outside and eat as very hot for September. This place didn't fail to meet our expectations as the curry we had here was soo good. The staff member was very helpful when choosing a dish and the service of it all was fantastic and the curry was just so delicious. The locals were ordering for takeaway so we guessed it was good. Definitely recommend if you love curry. The pub had plenty of seats inside for drinking or dining although it wasn't that busy.

The Joseph Arch is a pub in Barford with one side a bar and the other a curry house. We have been here a few times and have found it an excellent alternative to the standard curry houses found in the local main towns. The menu has a good choice of standard fare and their own in-house specialities. It is not as extensive as some menus, but all the better for that. The taste and flavours are really enticing and appealing with portions of a good rather than excessive size. The service can be a little erratic, but this is typical for India and Indians. Overall we would thoroughly recommend. It does take aways and is very busy on Fridays and Saturdays but you can get a table most other times.

An interesting little place, almost two separate establishments in one: pub & restaurant. Not much parking but nearby streets offered a place. Nice beer, nice food if you make the right choice. This establishment is half pub half Indian restaurant, we had a drink at the bar and then went into the eatery area for a meal. Our drinks were particularly good and the barmaid very friendly, which set a pleasant tone for our evening to come. The staff were so friendly and welcoming and managed to strike the balance of being warm and helpful, yet not too over-bearing. The food was incredible and VERY reasonably priced given the portions and flavours - we’ve lived across the UK and have decided it was one of the best we’ve eaten! Can’t recommend this place enough, we had a thoroughly good evening - well done team, management should be very proud of your efforts.

Staying in Barford for a couple of nights, it was good to see the Joseph Arch well recommended as an Indian restaurant attached to a local pub. We gave it a try and were very pleased with the whole experience - a nicely laid out and presented dining area with a cosy, welcoming atmosphere and attentive and engaging staff. A tasty meal with a range of good spicy flavours in all the dishes we tried and pretty good value too. No surprise that even on a Tuesday evening the place was nearly full and they were doing a good take-out / home delivery trade. We were impressed!

An impromptu overnight visit nearby and called ahead for a very late booking and told there was only space in the bar, which was fine as it was just the kids and I. When I arrived there was no space (the bar and restaurant are both quite small) however a table had become available in the restaurant. I hadn’t realised that it was an Indian restaurant when I called ahead but glad to say the food was really tasty and the staff really friendly and attentive without being “in your face”. Recommend trying the house specials.

This is simply a good pub with food. This doesn't sound a big deal - except that good pubs are so rare these days. It's NOT a wannabe gastro-pub, it's not an old man's pub either. Really, this is a proper village pub with everything the neighbourhood and visitors would want. It is smallish, cosy and has excellent food and a warm welcome. Unusually for a village pub, the barman makes a mean cocktail. We've been there a couple of times with kids aged 6 and 7 and it worked very well. The kids like the fact that they have board games and the kids meals were good too - made with real ingredients and fresh unlike to many average pubs.As far as the menu goes there are traditional pub-grub classics like lasagna, salad and chips as well as more aspirational plates like seafood risotto and local dishes like faggots, gravy and mash. The risotto was superb and the faggots about as good as they get. The portions are a very decent size too. They have also just installed a wood burning stove to make the atmosphere even more warming in winter. Like a true village pub, it works for different audiences with different needs at different time and it delivers for all of them very successsfully

After booking the back function room for a Wedding for 2 days (the wedding day and the day before to 'set up') with less than 2 weeks notice we found out that they had double booked and cancelled on us. Has Nick the Landlord any idea what kind of stress that is going to have on any couples memorable day!? Have you any idea how hard it is with such short notice to find anything at all available. Most venues being booked up for at least a year! Thanks Nick, nice one. This was in July this year and moreover the only reason we discovered this total f**k up is because we phoned to check on the arrangements!
