It was very busy with pub drinkers. Service was slow because of this. I ordered food and asked that our table be wiped as it was dirty. Despite being promised someone would come and do it they did not. We ate our food on a dirty table. The food was better than anticipated. I haven’t visited since being a student in 2014 and I noticed that the furniture is the same and is looking very old and dated and dirty. Not sure whether I’ll be back.

Generous portions. The spicy chicken wings were big and the pizza was nice. However, the fries were cold and they forgot one portion of barbecue chicken wings.

The Jonty Farmer is such a lovely place to go for food. The atmosphere is brilliant and all the staff that are on shift, Rachel was very warm and welcoming when I came to the pub with my friends and Morgan was amazing with serving us our food. I would also like to thank Lucy who cooked our food to perfection! Would highly recommend!

Great place for a drink, management is amazing. We was serve by Morgan who was very friendly, we also noticed a young blonde girl waitressing who was also very friendly. Music in the background was played with was good.

Came for a spontaneous date night and found ourselves in the middle of the quiz. Quiz was great and even had a go at Sticky 13 too and won! Can’t wait to come back next Wednesday x

My pizza and wings were burnt and the excuse was that the dough was fresh, ( I’ve ordered from them a few times before and this has never happened). We agreed that they will bring a new one but instead the driver came back to collect the pizza and they cancelled my order all entirely. I’m not happy as this was meant to be our family night with movies and pizza. I will not be ordering from this place again.

Delicious pizza - my favorite - fast delivery and pizza was hot out of the oven - my only problem would be I paid for extra chillies on a pizza that came with chillies and didn’t see any evidence that they had been added.

Pleasantly surprised with the pizza as dont usually like pizza unless its from the common places like dominos .. if you enjoy deep pan, cheesy, this is it!

Absolutely shocking. 1 hour wait for food sat a group of 8 around a table for 4. Table next to us had already complained about their food and portion size so we wasnt hopeful. Roast potatoes were uncooked inside, mashed potato was overcooked and not even a tea spoon amount. Staff very slow. Would not come back.

My wife and I and our little chihuahua visit the Jonty every Sunday with my 89 year old Dad who is in a wheelchair (he lives in a nursing home just up the road). I can honestly say that from the old management (Rachel) to the new we can have no complaints whatsoever. The staff are polite (although some of the younger ones should learn the word please) and welcoming. I cant praise the landlord/manager enough, friendly and a really nice guy. We have a bowl of chips for my Dad, we get there at around 11.45 and even though the kitchen doesn't open until 12 they always sort my order out as we have to have Dad back at his nursing home in around an hour. The Jonty is dog friendly and has front and back seating outside with benches, shelters and a kids play area. Highly recommended by us and we would like to say a massive Thank You for the welcome we always receive .Much appreciated !

Beware never have the chicken tikka as ordered this and when it came the chicken was luke warm I went to take my meal back and was told I should of taken it back the first couple of pieces of chicken was warm and when I put the nxt piece of chicken in to eat that was like warm even my partner tried it and said it wasn't hot enough so won't be visiting any time soon the two bar staff that was on were quite cocky towards me so just beware of this meal

I booked in for a meal for 20 plus people to celebrate my 60th. My booking was reasonably late, in fact another local turned us down. The staff at the Jonty didn’t hesitate to take my booking. We had a fabulous afternoon’s visit. The staff were polite, friendly and super helpful, even though I messed up the pre-order.The food was well cooked and everyone had a brilliant afternoon. I can’t recommend highly enough!

Time of year again to take my daughter back to uni and as done in previous years we took her for lunch before we said goodbye. This year however was not a good experience. The pub was busy at 2pm on a Saturday however there was only one member of staff serving. I always look forward to my pint of Pedigree as we cannot get it at home. My pint was pulled flat how gutted was I? Then we had to experience the shouting incident as mentioned previously in other reviews. The children in question were not causing any discomfort to any other guests as the pub was not as busy then. It was unprofessional and not necessary. Food as always was great.

Quite honestly I cannot believe this member of staff has kept her job ! After shouting at my two three year old grandchildren for getting excited about the toys they had just got out of a machine located next to the bar and making one of them shake with fear ! After reading previous reviews of this happening I think I will be contacting head office about this terrible person who all I can say should not be working where children are allowed. ! 😡 if it wasn’t for another lovely member of staff who couldn’t apologise enough for her staff members actions we would have upped and left ! Safe to say if you’ve got children that can’t sit silent so not take them here !

Me and my friend came to The jonty farmer for some causal lunch. We sat down and ordered at the table. We waited 20 minutes for our drinks to be brought to the table, baring in mind it was not busy. We understood that there may have been a reason behind this so we let this go. Half way through eating our food (which was lovely) we heard a big shout from a staff member, shouting at somebody else’s child as her and her mum were walking to the toilets. The staff member was telling the child off for shouting, when in fact, it was this bar tender who caused silence and for everybody to look. This is completely unprofessional and there was no apology, it was unnecessary, embarrassing and rude. Sadly I will not be coming back to great, local pub, because of this.

Attended today for family lunch. Staff member behind the bar very shockingly shouted loudly and aggressively at my 3 year old niece to ‘stop shouting’ when she was excited to get a £1 toy from the ball machine next to the bar. This was loud enough to disturb other customers around the bar, and left my niece in tears and shaken up at been shouted at by a stranger. Absolutely disgusting and shameful behaviour from not only a grown adult, but a member of staff at a supposed ‘family friendly’ pub. We will not be returning and would not recommend anyone else visit here either.

Ordered the vegetarian chilli and received about 2 tablespoons of chilli and padded out with salad. The other meals were also small portion size. Very few people were eating there and quite frankly that is not a surpirse. This small portion size strategy will backfire on them.

Had a lovely lunch at The Jonty Farmer yesterday. The pub was clean and had a lovely cosy atmosphere. I opted for the Halloumi and Red Pepper baguette with chips and a side salad, my husband had a steak with all the trimmings and everything was cooked to perfection, the salad was fresh, the steak was perfect and there was so much we struggled to finish it, all in all a delightful experience and I will definitely be going back with my sister in a few weeks time.

I don't usually write reviews but this is actually the worst food I have ever had delivered. Not only was the pizza VERY under cooked but the chicken nuggets are like rubber and have a really disgusting taste and smell to them. Paid money for a meal that my dog won't even eat! Never again.
