Great Sunday roast in the restaurant. Tasty food and friendly helpful staff, one of the party had allergies and the staff were really attentive and accommodating.

Always great to pop in The Jollies for a couple of pints and something to eat, this visit was spot on as always. I had scampi which was hot, tasty and plentiful and my wife had the ever reliable chicken in a basket. Staff are always lovely and friendly and to top it off we can bring Freddie the dog into the bar with us. Only downside is having to leave so roll on next time.

I’ve been to this venue many times and I’m used to the wonderful staff and the great chefs they have there. Unfortunately this time however the staff were just as good and attentive as they always are with Sarah at the helm Georgia making sure we were fully satisfied. The food was lovely and the sweet was to die for. Always great staff and food 🍱 what more can you ask for. Thank you for looking after us again.

Went 3 times last week, we had the fish and chips,monkfish special,pork belly,and seabass Thai dish over the 3 visits as well as the shell on prawn nibbles. Absolutely recommend the jolly sailors. Oh and the view is fantastic too!

Walk in for Sunday lunch with a family of 10, staff was very accommodating letting us eat in the bar area. Roast beef a little overcooked but the fish & chips made up for it, deliciously crispy and abundant it stole the show from the classic Sunday lunch. Great choice for kids too.

The location is great and the staff are very friendly, but the menu is lacking - there is one vegetation (halloumi) and one vegan (mushroom) option, which is really disappointing in 2024. And whilst the halloumi was okay, it wasn’t amazing. Same with the vegan option, both of them were salty. The food is good if you eat meat and/fish, and everyone complimented those meals. But overall, disappointing choice.

Came upon this lovely pub by chance while walking along by the east coast. It was packed to overflowing but the food was ordered and delivered quickly. Tables outside had a fabulous view and the atmosphere was excellent. Food was good and the service was top notch. Will definitely go again when we’re in the area.

What a great experience! greeting, nothing was too much trouble. Man behind bar was welcoming and funny. Perfect in his role. Food was really good, and great value.. children’s meals were excellent, wraps huge! Added bonus of the wonderful views! We shall definitely be returning! Outstanding again and again. We come here fairly often. Have never been disappointed. the service, the food, absolutely everything was superb as always. We hope you protect your team with all the force you can because they bring the ultimate dining experience. Your kitchen produces some of the tastiest goodies that have ever graced my plate!!!!!!!!! The service was immaculate, accompanied by big portions of very excellent quality food. I even finished my partners Gnocchi, having eaten more than a sufficient amount of my "catch of the day". And I am a rather large eater. I would definitely recommend them to anyone, also be dining there again.

Staff were great. Location superb. We didn’t eat but we saw others dishes and they looked good. But……my wife went to the toilet and said the floor and walls were dirty and the smell of urine was intense. As a food establishment this is an essential area hygiene as some people judge food safety on the cleanliness of the toilets.

Staff were friendly and served a good selection of local beers. The food was poor though. I have eaten at other Moss restaurants and they are all excellent. This one however has been bad both times I have eaten here. I had fish and chips and for £18 the fish was terrible and the chips taste as though they are cooked/fried in old oil. They leave a strange film like sensation in your mouth and smell like stale oil. Nice place for a drink but won't be eating there again.

Totally incompetent restaurant staff. I have never, ever experienced such poor customer service. A family meal totally ruined. Never again!

Wow stunning food and great friendly service. There were 13 of us hence we had to sit on two tables but it was fine as they were next to each other. The food was amazing (compliments to the kitchen staff who never stopped the whole time we were there). I had the halloumi fries and chicken Sunday roast which were amazing. Lots of different flavours. The staff were really attentive and friendly. We also had someone in our party who couldn’t make it because they were ill hence we took a takeaway meal home for them which was all pack up by the restaurant. Five star meal with five star service thank you.

We were nine in all, and simply planned to meet up and have a bite to eat. We hadn't booked, but Manager Craig sorted us out with two tables brought together. Excellent menu choices for a range of tastes/diets. And friendly and efficient service. It's still very popular (I live in Devon, but have been a customer over many years). For a sit-down lunch you should definitely book.

We visited Lowestoft for the day, my partner's son recommended the jolly sailors for lunch, we enjoyed it very much lovely views and outside tables. Food was worth the money and the service was very good.

Visited The Jolly Sailors Sunday 3/3/24 at 12.45-14.00, (window table). I was very pleased with the quality of food, and also the service. The Sunday Roast was perfect. Great amount of food, fluffy roast potatoes, perfectly cooked vegetables, tender meat and a Yorkshire pudding which was the size of my head,... brill. Pecan Tart dessert was very tasty. This is easily one of, if not the best meals I've eaten in the surrounding area. I cannot recommend this place enough! A warm and welcoming environment! No improvement needed as everything was perfect. Professional well managed staff. Wow just had the most delicious meal here. I had smoked haddock, generous portion, with a perfect poached egg, smashed new potatoes, and perfectly cooked green beans, with a mustard sauce. It was wonderful. My husband had cod and chips, very generous portion, fresh fish and light crispy batter. We shared a lemon crème brûlée, which was good. Really friendly staff. Will definitely go back. Oh and a decent carpark, and sea views. Previously we stopped for sandwiches, again very good.

Called in with our dog Freddie and got a table near the window overlooking the sea so a great spot to chill. I had the Chicken Sunday Roast and wife had beef equivalent, both of which were delicious. Had a couple of pints and went home nicely full and having thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, Freddie also had a good time (he had a Pork & Hide Chew rather than a Sunday lunch ;0) ) Great time had by all and thank you to the lovely staff.

Ordered chicken in a bucket chips were amazing the breaded coating on chicken tasted very procesed (packet bread crumbs). The chicken it self was very good moist & tasty,The rainbow slaw was extreemly tasty very small amount about a heaped teaspoon full.Open kitchen Head chef obviously loves his own voice as he was extremely loud,shouting orders to his colleagues in kitchen could be heared loudly in dining area which I found uncomfortable & irritating.

Had eggs royale today which was delicious but prices have risen dramatically. The loyalty card helps! The Wood burner fire offers a true welcome and the location overlooking the sea is breathtaking. Radiators not on in main bar although the wood burner was working but hogged by sofa people!’ Today’s weather was extremely cold and wet so having extra warmth would have been better. Overall a lovely place to eat, drink and enjoy the views.

Had a fantastic meal here last night; the flavours were incredible and portions very generous- it’s the only time I have seen my partner beaten by a main course! We both opted for the pork belly pancakes to start which had a great kick to them and came served with pickled red cabbage and the most delicious soft and crunchy pork. Main courses were equally delicious (smoked haddock with baby prawns and garlic butter) and lambs liver and mash. Service was great and after the meal we watched a brilliant band in the bar area next door. Altogether a superb evening- would definitely recommend.

I don't often feel compelled to leave a review for a good meal but this is definitely one of them. We stumbled across this place after having taking our 7 year old out for a Mummy and Daddy day out without his two younger brothers. We had just been ice skating and was looking for somewhere to eat that could cater for us all. The ambience was calm and clean with windows that overlooked the sea. The menu had lots of options without being pretentious. The service was great (such a rarity these days) and the attention to my son's allergies was comforting and reassuring. My son throughly enjoyed his 'plain' burger without worry and the fires were yummy. The waitress came back to us to check that the oil used was sensitive to his allergies. I had the pan fried fish with green beans and saffron sauce which was cooked perfectly. My husband enjoyed his giant burger. The condiments were all good quality and not cheap stuff. We left empty plates. The food was worth every penny. My son said it was one of the best meals out he's had. Thank you all for making his day a great one. We will definitely be back when we're next in the area (we live in Norwich).

We must write to say want excellent service we received on our recent visit, the atomsphere was wonderful, We went in on New year's eve, the Dining room was fully booked but Sarah the manager managed to get a table, the food and service we received was excellent, so also returned on the morning of new year's day and sit by the fire, and had a small breakfast, we look forward to returning to sample the sunday lunch, have already recommended to our friends as great place to go.

Brilliant service, lovely atmosphere, great restaurant space. I took my elderly father in law for Boxing Day lunch. When ordering the waitress immediately realised he was hard of hearing and asked another server to turn the music down. Ordered a sandwich, the bread was stale, and filled with the worst mussy slimy tuna I have ever been served, very sad that a pub this size cant serve a edible simple sandwich. Absolutely disgusting.
