Dunno if it s an ice bar or a normal restaurant due to the FREAKING COLD inside. Waiters were not concerned… spending 2 hours eating in cold weather is one the worst thing ever. Waiters were nice btw. Food was ok but surprised to see bad beers in London. I can’t put more stars because I spent an awful moment trying to keeping me warm. Edit : I’m now sick.

Very basic food lacking in flavour & small portions for the price. Dirty tables that are not cleaned between customers, witnessed 3 tables of customers leave and new customers arrive without any cleaning of tables as well as the one we were seated at being dirty. I personally would not go back or recommend this restaurant. If you like flavour don’t be mislead by the other reviews as I was as you will be extremely disappointed.

Make sure you check your receipt before you pay! We came in for a meal and when we had paid for the meal I thought it was a bit pricey. I asked for a receipt but gave up waiting as we had to be somewhere in hurry. I added it all up when I got home and it appears I was overcharged by £30 and when I emailed the manager about it I was told that the new system adds the drinks twice. I Challenged this as the extra charge wasn’t twice the amount of the drinks. I asked for a copy of the receipt and the extra charge wasn’t on the dated receipt. So the extra £30 was manually added to the total on the card reader and in fact not an error with the new system adding drinks twice. This will be argued but the receipt date was accurate and Cannot be changed at a later date. When I asked the manager to refund my card and also refund my service charge I was told that the new system doesn’t do refunds. Again, I challenged this when I called the manager and he then admitted that the new system can process refunds but he wasn’t sure as it’s only 3 days old. Odd as I have never heard of a card terminal or Epos system that cannot process refunds. I got my money back in the end but not happy about being overcharged in the first place. No matter what argument comes back , nothing that I was told added up and I feel like the extra charge was not human error or an error on the system as I was told. I was polite, patient and calm when I brought this up with the manager but I couldn’t help feel that he was rather arrogant and dismissive when coming up with different excuses as to why this happened. Personally, as a manager myself I would have been more apologetic and honest . He kept changing the story everytime his story didn’t prove to be true and it just didn’t wash. Anyway the food was ok. I didn’t have the burger but my mates said they were nice. Service was very slow and food came out at separate times over about 25 mins. We had all eaten our burgers by the time the fries arrived. They were apologetic as the cheese fries take a while to prepare. As a chef of 30 years I can tell you There are ways around this so no excuse for 25 min wait. Also, Not as good as the instagram reviews made out. Cheap frozen chips rather than fresh. Not bad for the money though. The hallumi burger was 6-10. Not bad. Not sure I’ll be going back.

All was cold when arrived and was missing my burger and no flavour to anything

Probably the worst ribs I’ve ever had in my life. Tough as old boots and literally no meat on them. Watery flavourless coleslaw and food didn’t come out together so my partner had pretty much finished by the time mine came. £16 for bones is a total scam. No discount was offered, wish I’d just walked out. Terrible experience. Edit: Didn’t realise the food had gone to another table, that makes it even worse! Why would I order more food from an already disappointing experience. Appreciate the offer of a beer but still not good enough. We definitely won’t be back.

We went twice, we like the classic breakfast and the salmon bread, we didn't like the avocado bread/seňor it was vinegary or sth about it just wasn't right. We appreciate good hot chocolate and very nice environment. Waiting time was long.

Waited 45 mins for food, then another 15 for our last friends meal, so an hour in total. Would not have minded if we had been warned when we arrived of the long wait time. Food alright, staff and vibe are lovely

Popped in for a quick bit of brunch and it was just amazing. Food was the star of the show, but the whole vibe and feel of the place was just great. Very interested to see what it's like at a different time of day and will absolutely be back to try it.

The boys and I have been coming here for years, used to be great burgers but they've recently switched things up and now the meat is really bad quality! Heartbreaking

The hot wings are 🔥 we enjoyed their coffee and breakfast as well. Staff are nice but they are always super busy leaving customers waiting pretty long to make orders or get the bill. But overall everything is great so worth the little wait if it ever gets busy on weekends

Stopped in for a late lunch and had the pulled pork (amazing) and raclette fries (as tasty as they are a spectacle). Definitely stop in for some BBQ if you’re in Brixton.

What a great find , we were wandering through the market and found a space to sit here , the service was great staff so friendly, and helpful The food was amazing I had the ribs with Korean Sauce , the ribs were full of meat and the sauce just right , my wife had the BJ burger which was very moist and had lovely sauce and pickles My daughter had the crispy chicken which she said was lovely and crispy The whole meal came to £74 including drinks and service charge for 4 of us which we thought was very reasonable We would definitely return 😍

My friend and I are foodies and like to try new places. By the hipe we saw on social media we thought this place would be great. Unfortunately, we were quite disappointed. All the dishes we ordered were not done well. The burger was very dry covered with sauces, the cheese on the cheesy fries was burnt and the mac & cheese bites were quite bland. The service was alright and felt like they kept on forgetting about us even though it wasn't busy. I don't normally give bad reviews but I did feel like I had to leave a review for this one.

Delicious hamburgers in a great musical atmosphere that's not too loud.

Delicious brunch of eggs royale. The coffee was top quality. Staff were friendly and efficient. Loved the quirky decor - we used the pens provided to leave a message on the wall.

Drawn by the smoky odours we had to try this restaurant. We had the chicken wings that were the whole wing, unlike many places, and the pork ribs. Smoked in a mix of hickory and maple the meat fell off the bones. The BBQ and Korean sauces were full of flavour and complemented the meats beautifully.

Atraídos por los olores ahumados tuvimos que probar este restaurante. Teníamos las alitas de pollo que eran todo el ala, a diferencia de muchos lugares, y las costillas de cerdo. Ahumado en una mezcla de hickory y arce la carne se cayó de los huesos. La barbacoa y las salsas coreanas estaban llenas de sabor y complementaban las carnes maravillosamente. Una intolerancia a la carne de cebolla se manejaba perfectamente hasta el punto de volver a comprobar si la cebolla en polvo en una salsa era un problema. Muy feliz de recomendar.

Literally no words for how good the pancakes were and I was even surprised with the coffee which is now top 2 on our coffee list in brixton after Addis! Our waiter Karma bless him was the only one serving food and taking orders in the rush of brunch. Took a bit longer than we would have liked but with the circumstances and how good the food was it is totally looked over! Almost forgot we were in brixton! Will definitely be going back to try the bbq🧑‍🍳😘

Visited the joint Brixton today with my daughter. The food was absolutely amazing and our server gets 5* as he went above and beyond with even asking. We’ll be back

I am a new customer. I order from Just Eat every single day. The burger was great and the chocolate was too but because of their greed. The Chocolate was in a tiny cup and only 50% filled, because of that they have lost me. Never again will I order from them.

The food was delicious and affordable. I had a good time with no complaints, the atmosphere was relaxing.

We went there as it was advertised on Instagram by an influencer. The burger was overcooked so slightly different from how it was advertised on the web. Although The service was fast and very friendly . You need to tell them yourself if you want your burger overcooked or medium rare, otherwise they will just cook it over cooked for health and safety reasons (?)

Double burger and chips for £10 at lunch was a steal. Good quality dry aged patty, brioche bap, pickles and even a slice of BBQ pulled pork. Friendly service, crispy chips (from frozen) nice spicy whole wings, a good place for a casual bite to eat. Only down side was burger was well cooked and they don't offer it any other way, but it was still very tasty 😋! Ps they also do brunch.. Enjoy

My friend and I had an early dinner here on 7th May before going to a gig at the academy. The staff were really friendly. The food was yummy, the beer pitchers perfect. I’ll bring come again when I’m next in Brixton.

Both burgers were really good and travel well which is brilliant I would only say that there should’ve been more barbecue sauce on the pulled pork one because the was barely any which was disappointing but luckily I had some on the side so that saved it. Overall it was really good

Absolutely rubbish , only went there as my reind recommended ,had two portions of ribs And chips , paid £40 for it and really what a waste of money , I was expecting good for that price , but was far from it , Chips skinny ones dried up horrible just exactly about a pound you would expect to pay for a frozen bag of theese in any supermarket and that would be twice the ammount served , The ribs less than six. Dried up not good at all As I said £40 complete waste of money, So if you like to throw money away this is the place to go

The brunch is amazing, we’ve been for brunch multiple times and it never disappoints. The French toast is the best I’ve had, and we’ve tried about every savory dish and cannot pick a favorite! Highly recommend.

Brilliant place to go, there's a room with tables and chairs to eat and drink, but the staff are next door. Music is piped through... We got Coldplay and Adele, and Whitney while we were there. The cocktails are great, and we had proper rock salt with our shots. You have to get a key from staff for unisex toilets, which are just round the corner. Definitely going again

Very good place for brunch! There are classic options plus BBQ meat if you fancy something different. In the Brixton village market which is nice and bubbly!

The food here is really nice. The place is located within Brixton Village, where you can eat in or alfresco. I'll definitely go here again. They also have two for one cocktails Sunday to Thursday aswell. The staff are very attentive. However, sometimes you may need to go looking for them as they are not always present.

Orderd baby back ribs through Deliveroo paid extra to make it arrive quickly, on arrival it was COLD what a load of rubbish!! I paid over £23 for cold hard ribs! Disgusting

A very unique place inside a covered market in Brixton, away from touristic areas, great breakfast all day, tasty and very good sausage and chorizo. The staff was welcoming and friendly. It can be a bit busy during the weekend so don't plan to eat here if you are in the rush.

I stumbled upon The Joint and had an absolutely delightful meal. I opted for the pancake with bacon, and it was honestly the best pancake I've had in a while! The pancake boasted the perfect combination of crispiness and fluffiness, while the bacon was cooked to perfection. Additionally, the coffee here is not only reasonably priced but also of exceptional quality. Without a doubt, I would highly recommend this place and will definitely be returning for another satisfying experience.

Occasionally working in Brixton and this is the only place I go to for lunch. Great service and friendly. Never had a bad meal, and the pulled pork burger is my fave.

Food was good, nothing entirely special. Vegetarian/vegan options were seriously lacking. Nice atmosphere and the staff were friendly. I think they could have done with more people working that night as the staff seemed pretty rushed off their feet.
