Nova gerencia e cozinha portuguesa!! Estive a jantar com uns amigos e adorei recomendo e irei voltar de certesa !!

Fui allí hace un par de semanas mientras trabajaba en Londres y me quedaba en un hotel adyacente. Siempre he sido un fanático de la comida sudamericana y este lugar no me decepcionó. Pero no solo tome mi palabra, tome a su pareja y disfrute de una velada romántica, inicie con un Bacardi y una coca cola y luego comience la fiesta LENTAMENTE. Tendrá que tomarse su tiempo con carnes suculentas y trozos de teta para una gran velada. Incluso le dan un poco de gizzmo con extremos rojos / verdes que muestra para avisar a los camareros si quiere más o si necesita un descanso para comer. Completamente recomendado.

I attended a family function here salad bar was OK not alot there if I'm honest but the meat was very tasty and lots of it if you could get them to your table that is but still very nice

Em minha recente visita nesse Domingo louco pra comer uma boa comida brasileira chegando la a cara nao tava muito boa, sem muita opçao nem parecia restaurante com um vasto cardapio etc, resolvemos ficar porque estavamos cansados e não moramos perto do local alias achamos esse restaurante na internet porque realmente tava Louco Por comida da Minha terra... em resumo a comida era requentada alem de fria parecia que eles queriam vender o resto de segunda a sexta do estoque ate ai tudo bem mas o rodizio de carne comecou a chegar entao percebi que a carne estava preta com tempero misturado ou seja parecia que tava ali senado requentada Por dias.... sinceramente pedimos pra parar de nos servir pagamos caro mas nunca mais volto

Un resto de viande pur et dur où, dans la tradition brésilienne on vous sert "à l'épée" jusqu'au moment où vous dites stop. C'est plantureux, copieux, rabelaisien mais il manque un petit quelque chose, un petit supplément d'âme à l'établissement pour en faire un must. Il y a sans doute d'autres restos plus typiques et attrayants dans le coin.

Yo y mi señora ha venido aquí en varias ocasiones y ha sido muy agradable.Tienes un buffet de ensaladas que ofrecen una lasaña sabrosa a veces así como ensalada, arroz, etc.La carne acercará a menudo y es todo lo que puede comer realmente pero no llenar bastante rápidamente con la carne.Mi favorito de carne tiene que ser picana (si es que seva) Definitivamente vale la pena si quieres buena carne y quieres comer mucho, jaja.

Después de un par de cervezas cerca de cabeza cask aquí un adecuado proteínas pic noche. Red para parada, típico verde para ir, pero la comida enfoque nunca se detiene.Personal amable que nunca frenar toda la noche, la zona al aire libre si el clima es bueno y la carne, mi bondad la carne. If you want to save yourself frustration and money, please believe this rating. I have never felt so strongly about a place that I've had to give it a bad review.I recently went to this restaurant to see a band playing and unfortunately ended up eating there. I have eaten in restaurants around the world included some so called "third world countries" and nothing prepared me for this one (not even the bad reviews I had seen here previously which I assumed were from just moaning people - arrogant little me).We had to pay £10 at the door to get in to see the band which I knew before hand. I then ordered an overpriced Grilled Chicken from the menu (£11.00 for a tiny portion - I wish I had gone to Nando's and believe me, I am PORTUGUESE!) Although I love spicy food, there was no mention nowhere in the menu that said that this was chicken piri piri - it said Grilled Chicken or Frango Assado, but when my dish arrived it was so spicy that I couldn't feel my tongue. When I asked the waiter why was the chicken so spicy, he replied rudely that "everyone knew that they served chicken piri piri there (unfortunately they forgot to broadcast the fact where I live) and/or they ran out of ink to print that fact on the menu. How dare I not being psychic????The service was so poor that we had to shout to get the attention of a waiter. The last straw was when we realised that we had been charged 12.5% of the total bill in tips. We told them that we should have been asked and their reply was that it was optional and that we agreed to it - even though we really didn't as they gave us a hand written bill which said nothing of the sort and we only noticed when we say a charge saying cash-back on our card receipt. We were a family of 10 adults and spent nearly £200. We asked a young waiter to call the manager and he said that they didn't have one. I politely insisted and eventually a girl came all smiles and we explained everything in the most polite way under the circumstances and she apologised insincerely and did sweet nothing, so we left with a sour taste in our mouths....LITERALLY!Brazilians, forget the Rodizio, you will be sourly disappointed!

Don't ever go or buy Groupon deals for Rodizio Britannia - they have incompetent booking coupled with rude and unhelpful staff/management to embarrass you with no booking and no tables when you arrive and it does not matter that you have travelled a long way and time to get there!!We bought 2 Groupon vouchers for two to take our neighbours for a Rodizio experience. We had originally booked for Thurs but had to change this to Sat at 9pm because they said had parties all Fri and up to 9pm on Sat.When we arrive having travelled over an hour to get there, we were told (1) there is no booking for us - and when we explained that we moved/changed our Groupon booking from Thurs to Sat - (2) they said: "We don't take Groupon at weekends" when the voucher clearly stated that the voucher is "valid Tues-Fri 6pm-11pm; Sat 1pm-11pm; Sun Midday-11pm!!, and (3) they said that they have no tables for the 4 of us when there were 4 x 2-person tables by the entrance and 2-3 empty round tables which were not made out/set!! We were so embarrassed as our neighbours are already starving at 9pm and angry because they were so rude and unhelpful, in fact they were using all excuses as listed above to just get rid of us .... They probably want to keep these tables for full paying customers .... We went to another Rodizio (Rico) in Westbourne Grove instead and had a great meal and service!Steer clear of them - and tell ALL your family, friends and colleagues to do likewise.From: Straight-Shooter

Don't eat there unless you want have a food poison, Frozen food, the meat smells really bad, there is nothing to deal with a Brazilian rodízio.

My family and I used to go to this restaurant regularly. Also, because it was always on a deal in Groupon so that you could get a relative discount.But even if they ask me to go now and eat for free, I would not punish my palate in such place. The quality is so low that I wonder if the meat comes from some squalid cow or if it is some other kind of animal. The last time we went, I took some friends from the US and I felt pretty embarrassed to have invited them over. the service was extremely slow and the quality of the BBQ meats were below expectation. Some of the meat was borderline with raw and chewy got a whole new meaning.... I thought about asking for a long saw to cut through or a sharp scissors.Honestly, don't bother with the place.

Went there with the S.O at 7pm on a Thursday using a wowcher. First thoughts upon entry. ..no one to greet customers... place looked extremely empty. Only 4 tables occupied. Walked in literally had to go all the way in to the bar area where all the staff bundled up just to get attention. We had no idea what to do other than hand over the printed wowcher. The waiter just implied we knew wat we was doing. We had to explain it was our first time there. Finally he led us to the table leaving a drinks menu. We explained we don't drink alcohol n the waiter simply listed the fizzy drinks. He then said to start by taking food from the buffet section and he will bring the meats over. The whole experience was confusing. We got up to check out the buffet which was a small island with a few salads n roast potatoes lasagna n some weird looking stuff I wasn't keen on trying. Got back to the table n shortly after the waiter came with big skewer of meat carving slices off on to each plate. And then making his way to other tables. The meat was delicious. Not at all wat we had expected after all the commotion. N there was plenty to go around. He would constantly come back n forth to serve more and more. I was stuffed by the end of it. Although the service wasn't great. the space was empty. The food no doubt was absolutely delicious. All we had in mind was the way it was managed. Clearly a family business that did not know how to run a restaurant. It could have been very successful if they knew how to run it properly.

Stopped off for something to eat on my own and got a nice table in the middle of the restaurant. Furiously busy with waiters flying around serving some of the best bbq meat I've had in a long time - good value, good fun and so, so much to eat

Very little food offered had to find another restaurant disappointing as this was a gift for my daughter's birthday. Avoid like the plague!

Like most of the recent reviews, I had a £12 Rodizio Wowcher offerFirst impression on ringing was "abrupt" - "I can I make a booking?" "You have Wowcher?" sort of implies they are a bit fed up of serving cheapskates like me - I guess the restaurant is stuck between a rock and a hard place - they need to fill the place as no-one goes but can only do so for pennies once Wowcher have squeezed themWednesday night at 7pm, we were the only ones in the restaurant. TV was playing a Brazilian football channel. Waitress eventually came to us to give a drinks menu - this surprisingly included a £350 bottle of wine which I'd be surprised if they ever sell!She sort of gestured at the buffet and we helped ourselves.In a shock move - it was pretty good!Looked a bit school canteen but was edible and there was a good array on offer.Then the bigger surprise... the meat.It was tasty plus there was a good range. I assumed on a Wowcher deal and on a quiet night, we'd be lucky to get 4 skewers in fact there were at least 10 meats on offer - my only complaint was the speed at which they came.As a dining experience it was pretty hideous - but at £12 definitely no complaints

Quite surprised at some of the reviews here, it certainly didn't reflect our experience.We went there on 7th May 2015, our booking was for 6:30, but we arrived 15 mins or so early. We were the only ones in the resturant. We had a choice of table, and the staff did attend to us. I agree there might be a language barrier, but you are in a Portugese speaking resturant remember!The salad buffet was ok, coleslaw was really nice. Various other bits such as Lasagne.Our drinks came quick enough, and shortly after getting salad etc, the meat was brought to the table. From memory, we have Chickne wings, steak (infact about 4 different types of beef), pork, lamb. We wer always asked if we wanted more, and the meat we had was very well cooked (I like my meat well done, but it didn't seem to be a problem if I wanted them to cook a bit more).Admittedly, it wasn't busy, which is perhaps why we had no service probs, the waiter did say they only get busy Fri-Sun. So, perhaps think of going there on a Thursdays as we did.We had a voucher so paid £12.50 per head, I would say and agree though, this meal was not worth £25 per head. The people we went with had been to a similar place in Notting Hill and said it was a lot better there (in Notting Hill).Agree with what someone else said about the TV. When you're out for a meal, its not what you want blasting. Perhaps some quiet background music would create a better atmosphere.That said, we had a pleasent enough meal (cooked nice), we came out stuffed.

You need to wait every time at least 30 min for the waitres to come to your table . For the dessert we wait one hour after we order the staf was rude the worst place very dirty

Bought a voucher from wowcher.com for this place with my boyfriend. It was an empty place and we couldn't return the voucher. They had a very loud TV turned on showing "Keeping up with the Kardashians". Not really what you want to watch while you dine. Dinner was bad. Looked like something from my highschool cantina. Very unsatisfied just saying. The staff was eating in the same room as us, which I have never seen before. This is supposed to be Brazilian but there was Portuguese flags all over the place. What. False marketing :(

Admittedly we went at 7pm before the restaurant was too busy but we were locked after attentively. The meat waiter came several times with an excellent variety of meats to be carved at our table, we were offered an extra slice every time and one of the roast beefs was the best I have ever tasted. The salad bar is endless and well stocked. The prices were reasonable and we were delighted to tip well.I would recommend it to any hearty meat eater.

No customer service at all. During the two hours we were there nobody came to offer more drinks nor asking if everything is ok. Food - only beef available, no pork at all, apparently run out. The waiter done two rounds with the meat, again no customer interaction at all. Do yourselfs a favour and check Rodizio in Angel and learn.

Very rude people, you sit down and you have to wait half a hour for a waitress to coming and take your order and plus more then a hour for your order to arrive and you have to reminde them about your order otherwise you will be sat there all night. The meet they served us was like eating a animal alive all I could see was blood on my plate. Rude people, bad atmosphere definitely I will not return at this place again. Was a tottaly waist of my time and money I would never recommend anyone to go there.

On est tombé sur ce restaurant par hasard. Il y a un buffet d'accompagnements composés de légumes, salades, frites, etc. et les serveurs passent ensuite vous servir les différentes viandes grillées.Le buffet est grossier. Le service est exécrable.A oublier donc à tout point de vue !

Walked in and just pointed at seat from distance, sat down and didn't come to take order or drinks till 15mins later even though there was only another couple in "resturant". Got up to get the seasonless n very bland sides. Waiter just comes to the table and says nothing just puts the food in ur plate in a rush! Don't say if would u like some, think they have a language barrier but food very plain n tasteless, me n my partners had upset stomacks after. Definatly not a place I would revisit.

Extremely rude front of house. Despite having been in contact via email to make the booking, they claimed we had not (Despite the fact the restaurant was pretty much empty). I explained I had the email thread but the front of house dismissed this and wouldn't even look at it. Finally she "allowed us" to have a table and immediately demanded for the vouchers. We explained that we were waiting for our friend who had the print outs. At which point she walked to the end of the bar and continued to dry what appeared to be the same glass constantly. We waited for 5 minutes, looking awkward by the bar until she realised we must not have left and she asked if we'd like to sit down. Despite the fact the restaurant was empty, she insisted we sit on a specific table. Turns out it was a table under a cold blast of air. I started to wonder if she actually wanted us there at all.We sat at the table for a further 5 minutes waiting. Finally the waiter turned up and dropped the wine menu on our table and left. We waited another 5 minutes to order our drinks and a further 5 for them to arrive. We also commented to the waiter that one of our group was a vegetarian. At this point we got told that we should've notified them. At this point I showed the waiter the email trail between myself and the restaurant, clearly stating we had a vegetarian with us (This is the email the front of house said never occurred and that they hadn't checked their emails today. You're a business, do not put your business contact email on there if you do not check it daily at least). Despite the curfuffle, my friend was given a plain seabass so did not go hungry so kudos for pulling this out of the bag. Further to this however, no one gave us instruction as to how the night would proceed (luckily we'd been to a Rodizio before so assumed the same process would occur). Despite the terrible service at the beginning, admittedly the meat was lovely and I would like to compliment the chef. It's such a shame that the rest of the evening was so disappointing. Change the front of house, spruce the decor up, get rid of the nasty smell and you'd have an excellent place to visit.

As we arrived we were aggressively approached by a man. The place smelled like an old sock and looked like a function room in the back of the pub. The salad bar, which was uncovered, looked like it had been there for days. We had a groupon offer which we were hassled for as soon as we arrived before we had even sat down. Long story short we were too afraid to even eat from this mouldy establishment, especially after noticing the dusty wine glasses on each table. We left without ordering and headed to the real rodizios in angel.

I was there with some friends and colleagues and we had the most amazing experience and succulent meat, and the sausages and the rest!!! We left stuffed.... Going back for next get together

The food was terrible. Meat was cold, chewy and not Brazilian style BBQ at all. Buffet bar was too small and there was nothing special. Staff is rude and actually there were only 2 people working. A guy who was waiter and manger and I think he was also the chef. We ended up in a coffee shop across the road to fill our bellies. I really think owner/chef should visit another Rodizio and taste the difference. Preto which is cheaper and in central London is 100 times better than this place.

I have been to this place 4 times now. The first time was great, good service, great food and lots of atmosphere. Eduardo the Manager was very welcoming and a a great host. The next couple of visits were okay, but not as great as the first, Eduardo always making you feel at home.The last visit back in the Summer was a terrible experience. I tried to book for 6pm as I'd always done, but was told the earliest was 7pm. The place was empty when I arrived, just another table of two. There were 5 of us booked, all coming from different directions.The waitress (who looked in charge as Eduardo wasn't there - what a shame!) told us we couldn't order drinks until she had the vouchers, so we had to wait for the person who had them. A bit annoying, but worse was to come.Cold and hot buffet was fresh, great range of salads, hot potatoes, lasagna, cheese buns and great pork crackling. The range of meats presented was extremely poor, around 4 different meats at best, but the same kept coming around. I appreciate there was very few people there but you need to do better than that.There was one thing they did which as a customer I felt was extremely poor. There was a table of what appeared to be friends of the 'managers' sitting at the back of the restaurant. The friends got served before the rest of the restaurant. I'm not saying they weren't paying, but if you want to make your customers feel important, YOU SERVE THEM FIRST!The 'manager' had a terrible attitude all evening, it was like we were bothering her as opposed to keeping her employed when we asked for drinks etc.Eduardo you were a great host, without you the place is a sham, I won't be going again even if it were free!

Went on a tuesday evening on a Groupon deal. Staff were friendly but not very present. Decor is comfortable wooden, though a little dated. There is a good selection of buffet salads, lasagne, and other tasty side dishes. Meats were also tasty - good juicy portions of beef, pork, ribs, and sausage served to us. Finished off with a nice cinammon pineapple. Only downside was the place was empty so very little atmosphere.

Apart from opening a few minutes late, this restaurant should be avoided! Shabby and dated, dead atmosphere! When we asked the - who appeared to be - manager about the reviews, she basically became aggressive and defensive about those with Groupon vouchers in particular! She said they ran off and never paid for their drinks! However was this an excuse for the poor quality of food! Even my drink was not made properly! Selection on the menu was extremely poor! I agree with the others this one gives a bad name to the good name of Rodizio! Shameful. Should carry a government health warning as our toilets did the next morning!

People just give up shabby cheapish Rodizio and go for O2 arena Rodizio Rico. All the others are sub-optimal. They bring disgrace to the great Brazilian Rodizio culture. Do a favor for yourself, stay way.

This was my 3rd visit to Rodizio Britannia, the others had been on a Sunday evening which was great but this time I went on a Wednesday. At first the meat came out in quick concession, there was a variety of beef cuts, but after about 15 minutes that soon slowed down. Serval meats that we where offered on the Sunday weren't available which was disappointing. The server didn't same bothered and made no apology. There was no energy in the place which I had experienced before.

After some of the quite bad reviews I expected our groupon meal to be a bit of a disaster, but aside from arriving and standing about not knowing what to do, it was a good meal!Buffet was actually very nice, and plenty/constant flow of freshly cooked meats coming out to try. Just said yes to everything!Not sure I'd go without the discounted voucher, but it was a good lunch,

Recently visited using a Wowcher. Very good food and service. Eight different meat dishes were freshly cooked and bought out to the table. Would return again.

So, the missus bought a voucher but didn't realise that this place isn't same as other 'Rodizio' restaurants in London. I had a sinking feeling after looking at the recent negative reviews so was not looking forward to spending our Friday night having a bad meal.When we arrived the place was near empty, and at first impression the staff a bit dour. Yes, the furnishings are not exactly modern but overall the restaurant is clean and tidy. Our drink orders were taken and we helped ourselves to the buffet.I suppose being the first ones for dinner the food is still pretty fresh, but no complaints about the buffet selection. A good variety of sides - veggies, starches and sweets well presented.Once we were a little bit into our starters the parade of meats came out. My favourite was the lamb and chicken thighs but all were pretty good. Others here have given the food a good rating and I can certainly agree. The flavours were strong but not overpowering or salty.The waiting staff seemed to warm up a bit too - sometimes just being a polite and pleasant customer will get you better service! We had our fill of tasty food, paid and had a cheery wave goodbye to the waiter. As mentioned by others, 10% service was added to the bill but it was based on the value of one meal and not both.I can say that we both really enjoyed our Friday night. Granted, I can appreciate some of the criticisms pointed out by other reviews but from my point of view they might have been a bit exaggerated.

Being invited out for dinner by a friend who bought a voucher for this place and needed to use it before expiry. First...they were constantly told it was busy and the only availability was 8.30pm on a Wednesday, any earlier bookings were unavailable.. we arrived and it was the place was empty.Second...the lady that showed us our table was rude and she made a comment in her language when we just asked for water!!! Point to be made I don't drink alcohol and sugary juices...I drink only water!!! So her criticism was not needed!!!Third...there was a cat walking in and out of the restaurants back door which didn't really look hygienic. We went for a quiet dinner out, we paid our money!!! If you don't like people who want deals then don't put your business on voucher sites!!!

just had a very distressing night at this place all I can say is not a place for first date but a good night out for a drink or two with friends and if you like Portuguese folk and payback this is the right place !!! did enjoy my caipirinhas !!!

The worst customer service ever. I have twice, and it was the same. I gave them other opportunity and it was the same. The place is old and not nice. With voucher it is ok if you only want to have good meet, without voucher go to a Kebab take away and you will have better experience.

The below reviews are very true to the restaurant.Really bad rodizio, not 'all you can eat' you get your set amount of meat and then if anything else is asked for, they aren't happy about it! The buffet is not that good either - some very strange options on there!! I went with my boyfriend and we felt like we were in a strange food hall - something like being in an off-season Alicante restaurant. There were about 4 other people there!If you want a good Rodizio, go to Rodizio Preto - you get what you pay for - a little bit more expensive, but MUCH nicer food, service and atmosphere!!

Atmosphere...there is no atmosphere! Staff is not able speak English, rude welcome, very poor/limited open buffet. The waiter serving food not informing you what kind of meat you will have. After 20 minutes of serving food there was 50 minutes break!I was pushed go to bar to asked for something to drink cos no one was interesting me! No ona offer me desert or cafe! And how they dare charge people for service! I Love Rodizio but this one branch should loose licence! !!!! NEVER AGAIN!

We were a group of 6 friends who came to Rodizio Britannia as part of a deal with Groupon and I have to say the food was great. Really tasty and was served pretty quickly....unfortunately that is the only good thing I have to say about this place.They advertise the menu as an "all you can eat" rodizio, but we got the sense that this really wasn't the case. We had plenty to eat don't get me wrong, but when the waiter comes out with pineapple and then we don't see him again for a considerable time, we got the sense that they wanted us out. At one point we asked for more chicken and were told this would take 25mins to cook. We said we were happy to wait, and then lo and behold 5 minutes later another table was being served the exact thing we asked for. I think they hope that you will just give up! They brought us the food, but it was begrudgingly and we felt like we had outstayed our welcome in their eyes, which I don't think we should have felt in such a quiet restaurant.Bar service was pretty much non existent. The first couple of rounds were brought to our table for us, but this still took much longer than it should have, there were only 3 groups of people in the restaurant! After those two rounds, we were pretty much left to go to the bar ourselves and order drinks.The final disappointment was paying for it all at the end of the night. We were a group of 6 with 5 Groupon vouchers, and the staff were very hot on us handing over our vouchers at the beginning of the evening. When it came to settling the bill, we weren't at all surprised to be told they only had 4 Groupon vouchers for us....what a coincidence!! It was only upon leaving the restaurant as well that we realised we had been charged twice for wine. Thankfully we didn't pay the service charge because frankly...what service?As I said, the food was nice and the meat was good quality, but a restaurant shouldn't just rely on this. It has to be a complete package if you want sustained business. We won't be coming back here.

I usually o go there a lot but this last time on sat 19/04/2014 service was terrible, really awful, not enough meat, ZERO service, every time we want a drink we had to stand and go to the counter and ask the waitress, the Portuguese guy who was serving looks like he was upset to be there, just serve us 3 types of meat which was reallllyyyyyy dry and burn!!! Because we always go there we already know who is the boss "apparently the owner" of the place and in the weekend they always go there around 15:00, this Saturday they came the whole family apart from the gentleman who usually comes as well and straight away the waiter went there to serve them with new meat, was just 2 tables of guest in the restaurant us and another, the other table the guys had to stand and ask for meat several times until the point that I heard they saying " I give up" and left.. Some of the food in the cold buffet was already off, when my girlfriend eated she almost threw up, some of the hot buffet food was old. You guys from britannia have to do something because in a competitive world which we leave now that is the first symptoms to crash down and lead you guys to a closure.. I was very, extremely disappointed...

My daughter and I stumbled on this branch whilst walking London, had read about them on trip advisor.Didn't hesitate on going in, extremely well worth the visit and would have gone back had we been staying longer.What fantastic value £20 for the buffet and grill, buffet was more than adequate but the meat was exceptional, carved from big skewers on to our plates. You get a little card that you turn to green when you want more meat and flip over to red when you have had enough.We had gammon, beef, pork, steak, which was all good quality and full of flavour, different cuts of beef were offered.Highly recommend this venue, I'm sure you won't be disappointed. There are other areas with the same chain but can not comment on the service or selection. We had good service and no problems getting a table even though we hadn't booked.

Won't go back the service was very bad and they even tried to keep the change after charging service... We're not in Portugal

Went there with 2 friends, interior it's very poor, staff very rude, ( especially manager). I have been to many Brazilian dinners but none of them are in this condition.I found out they only get costumers via 3 party and not many people recommends them anymore.Avoid, avoid so you won't be disappointed

My husband and I travelled quite a way to use our wowcher vouchers.....and I have to say that I'm so glad we did! The food was AMAZING and a really good variety. My husband is a big meat eater and I am not, but there were plenty of options for both of us. The cocktails were nice (with generous measures!) and the amount of food was huge! I would definitely recommend this lovely restaurant with an authentic and comfortable atmosphere. Thank you for a great evening!

Worst service ever the meat was rationed and stopped after about four servings it is definitely not eat as much as you like as advertised I will recommend only the branch in 02 IN GREENWICH ,but if you want a bad service, not eat as much as you like, rationed meats, bad deco and ambience, miserable lunch or dinner and waiters that can communicate in English then head for rodizio Britannia. Forgot to mention even at the discounted price of £12 it was not worth the money this is definitely a rip off.

My partner and I had a wowcher voucher and decided to visit on Sat, from the reviews I had seen I was really worried about going. We arrived and we greeted and shown to our table by a very friendly waiter. I agree the place is outdated and needs a full refurb, place was not full but busy wit a few tables who all had vouchers. I would suggest that the manager puts a discription on the buffet as there was nobody around to advise what they were. I also agree that customers should be told how it works, eg that actually they come around with a skewer and cut off a piece or two in front of you (I thought they were going to bring it all at once). The1st lot of tasters we got were a bit dry (seem to have reheated the meat) but after that it was perfect. You dont get much of a chance to relax as they are bringing out a skewer every few min, i would have prefered if it was put on our table on a "hot grill" as they do at some places.I would not return unless I had a voucher.

This place was great. Its not as lively or as big as Rodizio Rico, at the O2, but it was really good. The food, especially the lasagna was excellent (just as the O2). The only thing I did notice was some of the staff don't have english as their first language, as so they didn't completely understand when I ordered my drink the first time, but other than that, it was a great restaurant. I will go back.

No doubt i am a rodizio fan, all you can eat skewers and hot and cold stuff from buffet bar. Almost have been to every rodizio in london , in some i paid full price cz they hardly available in voucher offers. Well this one i purchased through Groupon (12 pound per person, cheapest one) and honestly i was expecting it to be a low class comparable to o2 and Piccadilly rodizios. Interior is not as bad as i see in other reviews. First we headed to hot and cold bar and trust me all food was fresh and lots of choices. Lasange was best but other things were so gud as well. As soon as we came back to our table , in just half an hour the guy brought us almost 12/13 types of different meat skewers. i was in shock cz i expected to be offered 4/5 different cuts and then again same cycle but 13 different cuts of lamb, beef, pork, chicken etc.....what a deal !!!! enjoyed my meal lot and well definitely go back if i found this deal again .....but for full price, i still prefer 02 and Piccadilly cz location and interior doesn't worth 25 pound per person in this rodizio.

Service was very lame, they don't serve good meet, the "picanha" is fake, and they will give you pineapple at least 3 times, trying to fill you up.The waiter is a guy with some bad jokes...The only good thing was the "pão de queijo"

When we arrived and entered the restaurant the first thing the waiter said was do we have a groupon or voucher-wonderful greeting! He kept saying how they needed it, we were taken to our table and i hadn't even sat down before he was asking again if i had printed the codes!The restaurant was very outdated and needs a lot of refurbishment - the chairs especially are stained and dirty.We ordered drinks (which are Portuguese despite the fact it is a Brazilian restaurant?!) and the cocktail i ordered had frozen in the name, yet when it came it had a couple of ice-cubes in it and was warm and tasted awful-even my boyfriend couldn't drink it and that is saying something. On the plus side they saw i didn't drink it and therefore didn't charge me which was nice of them.The buffet was not labelled and considering a large percentage of their customer base at the moment is from vouchers and therefore probably not Brazilian i was surprised by this. We got a bit of most things but even if we liked something we couldn't tell what it was. It wasn't the most amazing quality of food but it was okay.They eventually came around with the meat (we had finish half our buffet food by this time) and they kept saying what it was in Brazilian and not all of them could say what it was in English which seemed a bit ridiculous to us. They did have a good variety of meats though and many of them were very nice - just one thing, if you like your meat well done then don't come here as most are cooked medium or even less. I wouldn't go again but then that's more a personal preference on the type of restaurant and the quality of the environment. I definitely wouldn't go without a voucher.Oh, and they also add a 10% service charge on the whole bill.

I was slightly apprehensive about eating in this restaurant given the amount of mixed reviews it's already received. I needn't have worried. Yes, the restaurant is a bit basic and the decor can be best described as 'tired'. That aside, the service was very good. The waiters were never away from our table offering various meats from the skewer which were tasty. For us it represented good value for money and we would probably go back.

Slow service, only one round food served in table. Ignore customer with minimal sense of taking care of. Too expensive, they will never serve you enough food.

I have never actually been in this restaurant before, as I have always been a bit cautious of the quality through mixed reviews.Leonardo(waiter)was intrinsic in making me feel very welcome at the restaurant.I watched him and was AMAZING. Promote him now. I have never had customer service like this even when the I am in very expensive restaurant with has cost three times as much. That's great food,good staff in special as mentioned before to Leonardo.

visited this restaurant with 3 other adults using Groupon voucher. Restaurant was tatty and totally empty apart from us (we did have the conversation about booking tables). Service was OK, waitress was pleasant. Drinks service hit and miss as little English spoken and ordering 1 pint and 1 half of lager was a major issue. Food was poor, the meat we were offered was all bone and grisle. I would never pay full price and wouldnt bother visiting again even at the discount price.

Me and my boyfriend purchased the wowcher offer of £12 each for the buffet.After travelling from North London to Stockwell and entering the very quiet, empty restaurant, the first comment made by the woman at the bar was "reserve?" We told her we had not reserved and informed her we have a voucher. The next word was "groupon?" after telling her it was from wowcher and her writing down the two voucher codes she disappeared and we was left awkwardly standing for 5 minutes unaware of what was happening. 5 minutes later a man appears and asked us again if we had reserved. we replied no and then very rudely and abruptly he told us that we cannot eat there and that we should have booked we cant just turn up. We could not understand why it was so important to book when the restaurant was 99% empty! After asking politely if he could make an exception and let us eat there we was given another lecture about how they are very busy and there is not enough food and we needed to book. So turned away,we walked out of the empty restaurant and made our 1 hour journey back to North London and got a refund from wowcher.AVOID!!!

Attend this Restaurant this evening with my partner, sister and fiance. Bought a WOWCHER DEAL for £12 pp. First impressions where very good, nice entrance. We pre booked and where seated straight away. Food was served almost immediately, there was a very nice selection if cold salads and hot tapas on the buffet section. Then as we sat an began eating the Waiters brang over various selections of meat, chicken and some lovely sausages on big bbq skewers. The food service itself was lovely, although the drink service was a little slow and not quite accurate. Rating 7/10Would recommend buying the half price deal and would dine there again.

I was there after having bought 2 Groupons (£12 each) - for their All You Can Eat buffet.It was good value for the discounted money - but I will never pay for the full price.The food was alright but not excellent.The service was good but not too friendly.The place was nicer than in the pictures.Drinks were not included (we paid £14 for a bottle of house white wine - it was really good compared to many places) and there was a service charge of few pounds.All in all, we were satisfied.

Nous avions fêté l'année dernière un anniversaire dans ce restaurant nous avions été contentsde ce principe : diverses viandes grillées boeuf porc canard veau et pour finir ananas à la canelle et au miel tout cela sans arrêt .Le principe étant de présenter ces brochettes jusqu'à ce que les convives remercient le serveur .Cette année ,peu de choix trois tours de piste et le serveur annonce qu'il apportait l'ananas "pour finir".Nous avons été déçus.Il est vrai que c'était un dimanche soir , qu'il y avait peu de monde mais nous avions réservé ....Que penser ?

I went here with a few friends as we had some vouchers from Amazon Local for an all you can eat buffet. Now, I don't usually do buffets, but a friend suggested going here. I have to say, what a great place, the salad/tapas was amazing, and we eat our fair share of 'pandequesos', and 'frijoles', but then then meat came round, and they carve it at your table... My God is it tasty! If you are willing to try anything, and love the experience of food, then I recommend this place. I for one will be going back, whether it is a voucher or Taste London card night out, I'd happily pay the full amount. I was stuffed when I left.

We visited on a Wednesday evening. Very concerned and nervous regarding all the bad reviews. The pictures of the restaurant are worse than it actually is. The restaurant was empty so we didn't have high expectations at all. However we were pleasantly surprised. We were asked for voucher when arrived as expected from reviews but drinks order taken promptly. Did have to ask if we go up ourselves but again we expected this from the reviews. Cold buffet consisted of pasta, coleslaw, cous cous salad, vegetables that kind of thing. Included lasagne as well as dessert items too. Meat was delicious! Everything including chicken wrapped in bacon, chicken thighs, beef neck, beef topside, pork 2 types cant remember which parts. Server was lovely and recommended his favourites. Lots of meat and also skewered pineapple at the end. This restaurant isn't as bad as everyone states and is good value with a voucher.

I visited on Sunday lunchtime. I cannot comment on the price as someone else was paying! However the service was good and the food good also. There was plenty of it too; I left feeling very full. There is an eat as much as you like self-service "buffet" with hot and cold dishes. Then the waiter brings to the table various meats and cuts a piece or two for you. There is an excellent baked pineapple cooked in cinnamon and sugar to finish. The wine was good.So all in all definitely worth a visit especially as it is a bit different!

The experience did now start well, me and my friend walked in to a empty restaurant to be met my a waiter with the word "voucher" as we did not have a voucher this was kind of confusing. We did however have a taste card which was taken off me then brought back to us once seated.The same waiter brought us a drinks menu but no explanation of the food menu, so we asked if there was a food menu or a break down of what we get. The waiter replied with the price, just the price no other information, no hint of what is included in this price. When we questioned what was included he wrote down the price on a piece of paper for us as if we where idiots and couldn't understand £26. So by this point we felt utterly insulted and put off ever eating there, what ever this £26 might include and walked out.

Not as bad as some commentators have reported. It all depends on what time of the day and day of the week you are there. On a Saturday evening it was buzzing after 7 PM and filled up by the time we left at about 9:30 PM. As some people have said, the system is not made clear to novices. There is a good self-service buffet for vegetables and some minor meat dishes as well as a vegetarian option and the pièce de résistance of the rodizio is the rodizio itself. That is to say barbecued meat carved off a short spit at the table. There is certainly no rationing either at the buffet or at the table. Plenty of meat to go around to suit all tastes. All the meat was perfect. My only comment, as is so true nowadays, is it represents excellent value when using vouchers but not quite such good value if paying the full price. There were several large parties there including one graduation party who were having a thoroughly good time. There were also some couples having a romantic night out.

we visited Rodizio after booking through a voucher site, thank god we got it cheap. On arrival there was no one there to great us or show us to a table, after waiting for a while a waiter appears and simply asks for "voucher" how did he know if we had a voucher or we were simply walking in off the street?? hmm i think there only business is through vouchers!!!Once seated at a hideous table the waiter disappeared again, so we waited and waited and then realized that maybe we should get up and try and work out what were supposed to do to get fed.The waiter reappears and brings us a wine menu they obviously love up selling!! At this point i felt like walking out if only i hadn't paid for the voucher already!!!The famous steaks they rave on about our more like slivers of meat from a kebab van!! We went there to sample real steaks instead we got chicken wings/drumsticks/heart and sausages!!! They do eventually bring out some beef joints on skewers from which they cut slivers off and then they run off with it back in the kitchen!!!My opinion of this restaurant is simple don't waste your hard earned cash and visit the Rodizio wandsworth road!!! Oh and the area its in is pretty daunting not a place i would want to walk in after dark!!!

Went on a group on, me my wife and our 4 year old. There is a rodizio place in the O2 and we thought this one was much better. Yes the decor is really dated and the staff do not speak great English but we found every one there very friendly.Not sure what is going on with the drinks licence, we could get drinks whilst we were there and I had a couple of pints of the Portugeuse lager which was great and not too bad price wise.The food was really, really good. Our daughter loved the lasagne and we thought the salad bar was pretty extensive. The meat itself was lovely and plentiful, definately not tight at this place and I personally couldn't move afterwards. The bill may have had service added but there were no hidden charges or anything. All in all we had a lovely Sunday afternoon. I notice it is now back on Wowcher and I think I may buy a few for when my mum and dad come down at Christmas.

This place is terrible, rules of age entry is always changing evan when they know you have visited frequently they refuse entry, the customer service is terrible they treat you like nobody, this buisness should be closed down it ruined my night out with friends and I will never set foot there again.

I went with my friends to this restaurant, the place is nice but the music horrible, some old brasilian music that we were feeling asleep. The bar food was very nice but the meat was so limited and too salty, we were all the time ordering water. I think someone goes to the brasilian restaurant to eat meat not salad and rice...They brought far less meat compared to other brasian restaurants I have been before. i wouldn't turn back again.

I've been to the place with my mother and my boyfriend last Saturday and besides us only one other table was occupied so no need to book I guess. The manager checked our vouchers and showed us the table and didn't offer a drink and didn't even explain how the place works so later I just assumed that we should just grab our plates and go for the buffet. Not many options of salads or anything else but everything that I tried was just lovely cooked and the meat was very tasty. The napkins on our table were dirty. And looked like that the same person that was cooking the meat was the same person that was serving us because his white clothes were just covered in blood (management faults) but besides the grumpy manager all the others 3 staffs were just helpul and friendly always smiling at us and asking if we would like any specific meat. The manager after some time came to our table asking if we were done and I said that me and my mom yes but my boyfriend that was in the toilet probably not and he was already taking our plates off so I asked for a menu dessert once it wasn't offered and he said straight away that it wasn't included on my voucher what I already knew it. The problems basically are: unfriendly manager, dirty napkins and glasses, no air conditioning, place was quite dark and we felt like that we wasn't unwanted there that the manager wanted just to get rid of us. But besides that no problem at all looooool. We would definitely come back when a new management take place.

Having read several reviews on this site I was somewhat worried about visiting this place on the Wandsworth road. Next time I will read the reviews before buying a Groupon/Wowcher etc, the deal was to dine from the "All you can eat prime" menu for £12 each, i.e half price.My family and I arrived at 2pm on Wimbledon Ladies Singles Finals Saturday as booked to find that the place was empty of customers. Nobody came to greet us (as per previous reviews) and I was not encouraged by the demand for the vouchers before the waiter would show us to the table. The decor is a bit dated but the tables were set out neatly and everything seemed to be clean.After a minute the waiter delivered to us one home made looking laminated menu, it showed the cocktail and wine list, no soft drinks and no beers so I had to ask about the beers and then ordered a pint of draught Sagres, my wife and my two teenage kids each ordering a can of soft drink. Having asked about how it works we then went to the harvester style hot and cold buffet area where there was a selection of salads, Brazilian style stews, proper pork scratchings and banana fritters amongst other things. For me this seemed to be reasonably good looking, the salads looked fresh and edible if somewhat ordinary but I was there for the meat so anything else was (for me) just there to make the plate look colourful. I took some token amount and waited for the main event.About 10 minutes (felt like longer) another waiter came out with a skewer and offered each of us some pork ribmeat, I was starving and found it to be juicy and tender if a little salty. The waiter told us that more was coming and indeed more came including beef rib, rump steak, chicken thighs, chicken hearts (very nice!) and garlic beef (chewy). For some strange reason garlic bread also came on a skewer, which I took to be polite. Overall I felt the meat was pretty good, much better than other reviews had lead me to think. Bear in mind that much of the meat had been well seasoned so low salt eaters beware.To my relief about half an hour into our visit more diners arrived including families, all of which were sporting vouchers.I decided to call it a day after feeling that I was forcing myself to eat and so asked for the bill. Again other reviews had me thinking I would be stung for service and pricey drinks, but the additional spend came to £13.50 including a itemised £5 for service - not so bad! Total bill therefore was £61.5 for 4 people (no deserts and no coffees)So in summary:Decor - dated but not horrid.Service - a little indifferent and passive from the main waiter but not rude.Atmosphere - quiet (despite the salsa music) - no buzz at all.Food - tasty and nicely cooked,Value - if you have a voucher - reasonable, if you do not have one - poor unless you can put away a lot of meat!There are lots of Rodizio style places in London and vouchers do appear on a regular basis, if you are close by and really need a meat fix then this place is worth a punt.

There are plenty of reviews slating the place for lack of this and no atmosphere that. I went with a few friends with coupons bought from Groupon (poetry). We were welcomed in the standard South American manor, very relaxed and with no rush. Albeit the welcome was pleasant. They seated us (giving us a choice of tables) and tool a drink order almost immediately. We ordered four beers and a jug of water. Te beer was decent and water was free! The buffet had a good selection but that's not what you go there for. The meats came out and as the server saw it was four burly men he didn't scrimp with the portions. The meat came out quickly with enough time to rest. In fact we had so much there was no room for desert, although there was room for a chocolate bar in the car on the way home.For £12 per person for the food and drinks on top you can't go wrong. If you're expecting 4star cuisine at a top hotel then you're going to be disappointed but some good BBQ'd meats and a relaxed atmoshopere you'll be pleasantly surprised. Would recommend as a cheap, relaxed and easy night out with friends

Being Portuguese I was a little ambivalent after reading some of the reviews of this restaurant, but after experiencing it for myself, I honestly think the negative reviews on here must have gone to the wrong restaurant. This place was exactly what it's advertised to be. The ambiance and interior design of the restaurant was very Portuguese/Brazilian, which is plain but aesthetically pleasing....after all, I don't go out to eat somewhere because the pictures on the wall are nice. They had great music playing in the background and the food was phenomenal (They even brought out grilled pineapple for dessert). It was a Tuesday night and there was about 25-30 people there so the atmosphere was intimate and relaxing. I very rarely write reviews, but after visiting this great location I was compelled to come set the story straight. The only downfall was that the wine was a little pricey (£14 for the bottle of House Red) but other than that, it was a great and enjoyable night out with the family.

We purchased 5 vouchers off Groupon, and I can honestly say this was the worst place we have eaten at. it was empty, but the service and atmosphere was diabolical; and the food was slow, and the salad bar disgraceful. I was really disappointed, as we had been to other Rodizios, but this was sooooo bad. The meat was brought out about 20 mins apart, and we were given minimum amounts, of below average food. REALLY REALLY BAD, TO BE HONEST- COMPLETE WASTE OF MONEY.

Me and 3 of my friends decided to purchase the voucher for this place on wowcher and we were so glad we did... We loved the food the buffet had a variety of foods ranging from salads to potatoes rice and stews... And other things too... The meat that was bought out was delicious and well cooked and the pineapple to settle your stomach was amazing we could not get enough of it. The staff were really friendly the atmosphere was really nice. We got there at 730 it was quite empty we stayed for 2 hours and when we were leaving the restaurant it was pretty much full... They played Brazilian music in the background which was really cool. Overall great food would definitely recommend and would definitely go again and would pay full price of £26. All 3 of us enjoyed It very much

Some seem to have had rather unpleasant experiences at this place, but I can't say we did. We had groupon vouchers and enjoyed the buffet on a Wednesday evening. The majority of the meat was very good, the staff was helpful and accommodating, and the meat slicer waiter came around with astounding regularity and speed, prompting us to eat more than we would have otherwise.All-in-all, it was a rather nice outing with lots of savoury meat.

We went there after we got a coupon through Living Socials. Since I visited loads of places like this in Brazil, i can tell you that it's mostly the same! The meat is very good, tender, juicy and all. And the service excellent. The Brazilian waiter was very friendly and made sure not to forget any table.The management and the bar are Portuguese, so between them all, if you want to practice your Portuguese, it's a good time...From the look of the place, I wouldn't even look back and I would go elsewhere. But I'd rather found out once seated that despite the poor look, the food is amazing rather than a flamboyant restaurant with crappy foo and expensive prices.We are already planning to go back, maybe you should have look...

Having read previous reviews on here I cannot say I was full of hope. As previously described the venue is not modern however a rare London sunny evening did at least illuminate an otherwise fairly sparse interior. On arrival we did receive the often mentioned indifference as a welcome. As we approached the bar a couple of members of staff did greet us but seemed to look straight through us? It was then that I looked behind to see a TV with football on that was clearly more important to the team than service/money!As a group using vouchers I was left with the impression that we might not have been the sort of business they wanted? We had all all waited and consequently given up on ordering drinks as a matter of course so went to buffet. On return they brought the BBQ meats - still no drinks! At some point around half way through our meal a drinks order was taken and slowly delivered. The food itself I cannot take too great an issue with, it was plentiful and abundant if a little over salted for my taste (we were a group of mixed nationalities and some did not find this the case).The table servers themselves did try and it is for them I would offer a 3rd star. The core issue seems to be with the floor leaders here who offer a non existent welcome, a service overview that tails off in the middle and the less said about the billing and goodbye the better. The bill was mercifully accurate as I had geared up for a scrap after reading previous reviews! All in all an underwhelming experience if not a bad one. You might say you get what you pay for and at 50% off Rodizio just managed to live up to this.

Some of the meat was good, most not so much. The salad bar / buffet was very poor quality, nothing interesting or fresh. 25 GBP is way too much for the quality offered. Staff was friendly enough. I hate it when they charge a default service fee, especially when the price is like this.

I went to the Brittania Stockwell branch.. awful. I went to resturant with family.. nobody at the door to greet us. I had to walk clear inside and what looked like the manager was watching us look confused and he was just standing there by the food and did not take one step to approach us. Once he showed us to well all the free tables, they were old fashioned and dirty. We had to swap over chairs and change tables as the chairs were awfully dirty and stained. The sides.. oh dear! Some shrivelled up potatoes and cold pasta with some salad and dry rice (no signs to say what hot food was) (not good) was all they had. No desserts as the voucher said. For the meat to come out it took forever. Even then overly salty. I would like to add that I have been to the Rodizio resturant in Islington and it was fantastic (too much waiters) but food and cleaniness of resturant wad wonderful. So coming to the Britannia one - was so disappointing never again would I go there even if someone paid me to go. awful

Went with a bunch of friends, the place was surprisingly busy for a Wednesday night (it was the 2nd time I visited). The buffet is quite disappointing, the meat in not appetising, and they have a small selection of veggies. The only things are the cheese balls that don't survive the buffet more than 5 min. Then the most important: Meat. Apart from one piece of beef that was pretty good, the rest was average. The rhythm of service as well was poor, having to wait a lot to get the good meat. The manager is not very friendly, and they don't really pay good attention to customers, whcih they should to make up for the poor atmosphere of the place (no decoration, old school table dressing...) I won't go there again as I have been again disappointed by the service and meat quality/quantity.

This is a Portuguese restaurant , (at least everybody working in there were apart from 1 waiter).I am brazilian and went there with my family and will never return for sure . I have never felt so offended in my life; I got a wowcher deal and when i bought it i read on the HIGHLIGHTS that i could also get as many sides & desserts from the buffet as i like. For my surprise even after i had asked the waitress about the desserts on the wowcher , the bill came charging us for it .When i try very friendly ask about it , a woman came from the kitchen dressed like a cooker and start shouting at me making it so loud that everybody eyes turned to me and she seems to like it and said even louder that i didn't want to pay for what i eat ; and again been as much polite that i could , i try to explain to her that on the site that i got the wowcher from , cleared showed that desserts also was part of the deal .I even asked her to check it on the site but she ignored everything i said and made what was suppost to be a nice family day out a nightmare .People like this shouldn't run a business at all .

I have not eaten at this restaurant, however after reading the one star review from flipperty, who openly admits they have not been, I felt a five star review was justified.I am sure that most of the reviews here are well founded, and we we intend to eat at Rodizio Brittania soon, with some intrepidation at what we will find. Until then, may this at least make things fair against users like flipperty - shame on you.

Booked via Groupon, however, was regretting once I read the negative reviews. However, went Saturday 4th May 2013, the food was brilliant, tasteful and value for money, would definitely go again and again. Would have given 5 stars, but felt that the waiting staff could have been a bit more attentive, however, it might have been because, there wasn't many to deal with the customers on the night. Bit puzzled about the negative reviews.

meat came round very often with lots to choose from, i ordered a coke and paid 2.50 which came from the can of pop.staff was intentive and friendly and i got an offer from wowcher for 12.00 or 12.50 intead of about £25 for the regular price which is not worth but was ok for what we paid for.meat was fresh,hot and tender the way i liked it.we didnt have any problems when we said about the wowchers like other people have mentioned.betten than the tube as yuo have abit of a walk like we did, not the best location but you can get 77 bus from southwalk there and back for £1.40

I visited mid April 2013 with friends as part of a wowcher voucher offer. In fairness we had read other reviews and were not expecting much......The restaurant sets itself low standards which it fails to achieve. Entering Rodizio you might be confused as the decor is that of an old cruise ship or 70's bingo hall. You can notice what a shocking place it is because no one else will be eating there.The waiters don’t speak English and you cant even drown your sorrows as they have had their alcohol licence removed. If you were thinking of topping yourself, eating here would push you over the edge. I'd also watch out for £5 jugs of tapwater and their administration charge.

We were a party of 7 people who redeemed Wowcher voucher for "all-you-can-eat" Rodizio at this particular restaurant. The service was fine, but the food was below average; some of the meat didn't taste particularly fresh. However the shock was to come at the end of the meal when, after having ordered three rounds of tap water, which the head waitor had given to us in a glass bottle that had been filled from the tap, we saw the extra charges we had incured. We were charged £15 for the water and an extra £9 service charge. Unacceptable. I will not be returning, especially when the quality of the meal is nowhere near worth the price...even with a Wowcher or GroupOn voucher. On a further note, the merchant recently had its alcohol license revoked, so we were unable to purchase as much as a glass of wine with our meal.Avoid.

I purchased 4 Groupon vouchers for this restaurant having enjoyed several fantastic visits to the Rodizio in Victoria. We couldn't have been more disappointed. Unfortunately two friends had to drop out so decided to go twice to use up our vouchers. On arrival the first impression is of a dark, dingy pub, or poorly kept 70's curry house. No-one, on either occasion, welcomed us into the restaurant, you have to wander in to the centre of the restaurant/bar to try and find someone who is interested in your custom. The manager was not at all welcoming when he did ultimately decide to show us to a table. The chairs frayed, torn and dirty, as are the carpets. These just set the scene for what was to come. The cold buffet selection was barely half that of the Victoria Rodizio, the salads were dry and clearly not refreshed for quite a while, even some of the banana fritters (usually one of my favorites), i suspect, were reheated from yesterday, hard, bitter, unpalatable. The bar is usually quite expensive anyway, though on our second visit (well it couldn't be as bad as the first - could it????) we were informed that they were unable to serve alcohol for a few weeks. Fruit juice at £3, not cheap, so decided a nice fresh mango juice would be fine, right up until it separated in the glass before our eyes. Some mumbled excuse from the manager and exchanged for a £2 can of coke, the tin delivered to the table for us to pour ourselves.The selection of meats, one of the big selling points for the Rodizio brand, was limited, was not of the same high quality as that in the other Rodizio's we've been to and delivered with far less frequency than usual.We couldn't help but notice that on both occasions we visited, that whilst the Rodizion was 80% empty, the portugese restaurant just two doors away was full and turning away bookings, so the custom is there, just not the quality. Similarly only about 7-8 different different meats were brought out, less than that in similar restaurants, after they had been round once we were certainly 'discouraged' from eating more, having to summon the waiter on these occasions. 'Eat as much as you like' only if you can catch the waiters eye!Overall, you'd do far better travelling a few extra miles to Rodizio Preto by Victoria station if a 'Churrascaria' is your thing, this is a very poor imitation and certainly not good value for money or even a particularly nice environment.
