Best pub in Morpeth and has been so since Joe Routlege owned it. Nothing fancy. Just good beer and chat

A good variety of beers and gins. Friendly staff and good atmosphere. Garden has a good view of the River Wansbeck and weir.

My favourite pub in Morpeth. Especially when the sun comes out and you manage to get a seat in the beer garden which is next to the river bank. Just need more sun! Not a vast food menu but good quality non the less. Plenty of alcohol choice. Maybe they could have more non alcoholic drinks to choose from. Very helpful staff too.

Friday nights can be noisy. Getting more popular Friday and Saturday nights. Have 4 real beers on

A brilliant pub full of atmosphere. There is a good range of beers. Many people bring their dogs here and amazingly they are well behaved, obviously good owners.

This is one of Morpeths iconic pubs. Good beers but could do with offering better lager range. Staff are brilliant. Well done.

Proper pub,fair price ales, beers and lagers also a large gin selection. Canny free bar snacks Sunday lunchtime, and the staff always have doggy treats to hand.

Visiting a friend and call in the pub for a few drinks. The staff have been so lovely and friendly. It makes a pleasant change for staff to interact with customers. The pub is in a great location and has a great atmosphere. Will definitely call again when next in Morpeth!

No food served here, just snacks. We went for a drink and to sit on the terrace by the river which was lovely.

Lovely traditional pub with a good selection of beer and dog friendly. Probably the best part though depending on the weather is the terrace overlooking the river.

Asked for ids gave them,then had to wait for a “manager” to come check them when I am 18 and so if is friend, just for him to say it’s fake, their lost on money, clearly can’t tell when an id is real or fake

Formerly a Fitzgeralds pub but has a new owner, bit of a revamp in the lounge but, the small beer garden overlooking the river from the lounge is totally transformed. If you're in Morpeth it is worth a visit but check opening times first.

If you fancy a pint or a whisky in a cosy atmosphere Joiners fits the bill.

Learned to drink here aged 16, in 1977. Its still exactly the same.

We spent a few hours there, in the afternoon with friends. The beer on draught was good and so was the draught cider. Very comfortable and relaxing.

Friendly, locals pub in Morpeth. This is a proper pub with a separate bar and a comfortable lounge, with a beer garden at the rear. Good range of beers for all tastes, including four well-kept Real ales. Always spotless, no frills and friendly staff. Love it.

We sat in the beer garden but we were asked to leave as no dogs allowed, there was no signage anywhere. However there was a no smoking sign which did not deter the smokers, nor did they get asked to stop or leave. We landed up drinking on the pavement having just gotten our drinks order. Never been outside and told dogs not welcome. We will definitely not be back. (Not just the dogs rule but sitting in others smoke doesn't do it for us)

Pubs these days are becoming more and more like restaurants!! When you simply want a good quality beer in a relaxed environment it's getting harder and harder to find them. The Joiners is a haven in a pool of gastro pubs and in our opinion the best pub in Morpeth. The craft ales on offer are the freshest around and the staff are the best !!! The new beer terrace is a great addition and the views over the River are stunning. The Joiners haven't reinvented the wheel or done anything amazingly different but what they have done is simply perfect!!!

Nice pub and all, has an old school charm about it but as welcoming as some of the bar staff may be you can't help but feel some of the clientele are watching you because you ain't a local, I don't mean in a horror film way, but you know what I mean.

Called into the joiners , this is a wee gem,a local pub with immense atmosphere. Called in today to try out their new delicacy . Toasty sandwiches, yes toastie. The ultimate in bar food pleasantly served by Grant . Coming up to Christmas, your wife doing the shopping all men & women do yourselves a favour & pop in to the pub overlooking the river . You wont be disappointed. Kenny & his team have the place so welcoming

Years since I’ve been in here but my husband kept saying what a lovely view of the river there is so, on a recent visit to Morpeth we called in and....it was just lovely, great view, fab service and drinks enjoyed in the lounge. I’m really pleased they are going to be doing something to the area overlooking the river and I’m sure it will be a huge hit next summer!

Only been living in Morpeth for 8 months, and love this place. Made many friends and don't wish to go anywhere else 😁👍. K n B

Friday lunchtime visit. Very welcoming and helpful service with a smile. Any pint (yes, any including real ale), a sandwich and a packet of hand cooked crisps for £5.90. Nice choice of beers. Decorated as "pubs of old", just how we like it.

Dog friendly bar with a selection of drinks and craft ales. Not the most welcoming of atmospheres in the afternoon. Needed some music or something IMO.

Local town so used to the pubs, nice lounge area and also separate bar for more traditional drinking

This pub has always had a great atmosphere. Two rooms, usually busy. Good beer at good prices. Great choice of real ales. Just what you would expect from a pub in the Fitzgerald group. Nothing has changed over the years which is good. A place to enjoy, there’s a friendly atmosphere and always people to talk to.

We use the Joiners quite regular at weekend. There has been a dramatic change to the pub over last 12 months. All of us say for the better Kenny took over & has totally revitalised the place . Not only is it a welcoming establishment it also is in process of providing food . Albeit basic bar food at present but with an intention to a wider menu . Again basic bar food . Sandwiches, pies , etc. The pub shows all live sporting events & has a wide range of real ales for all officianado’s of craft beers . Anyone wishing to partake of a leisurely beer , drink in a friendly relaxed atmosphere this is the place to go . It has it’s regular clientele who are a friendly bunch which along with Kenny . Fiona & of course Grant will give you a warm welcome
