Food was very overpriced and not the best quality.

Great pub food, always tasty with quick & friendly service

My friends and myself went to the jack rabbit on Saturday 14th for a birthday meal You couldn’t fault the service or the food lovely pub with a great atmosphere I can’t remember the name of our waitress but she was lovely Thankyou jack rabbit

The round table was a tad small for four. However I had originally booked for three. Though my sister also came in the end. So thanks for accommodating the extra person. The food was better than I expected and the interior decoration too. The food portions are generous too. That extra portion of chips with my chicken salad were not needed.

A late lunch on a Friday. Rushed to our table and order quickly taken. Main course was good but all waiting staff had disappeared so we gave up on the idea. of 🍨 . Shame really it spoilt an otherwise good lunch

Sunday Roast was amazing! Really enjoyed our visit. Highly recommend, although I advise to book as it was really busy when we went. All in all a fantastic service and evening. Thank you Jack Rabbit!

Attended last Sunday for a family meal. Service was extremely slow - we waited almost a hour for our meals with no explanation or apology. When our food arrived it was hot but unappetising. One of our party stated that their skewer was dry and 2 stated their potatoes were hard. However of more concern was that 2 members of the party experienced gastroenteritis within 24 hours of eating here. We would not return.

Attended for an evening meal last week with family. Service was poor and not particularly friendly. We waited almost an hour for our food without any explanation for the delay - although we could see that it was a fairly busy Sunday evening. Food was ok - all meals were hot but one guest stated their skewer was dry and 2 others stated their potatoes were hard. Sadly, 2 members of the party were both unwell with gastroenteritis within 24 hours of eating here. Whilst I cannot prove it is due to the food eaten, it is extremely coincidental. We will not return.

My wife and I decided to try the jack rabbit pub again after it first opened for the Sunday roast. We hadn't been there for a lot of years, I'm afraid it will be a lot of years before we go again, when the roast arrived it was warm not hot, after about five or six minutes the meal was almost cold. For the price it wasn't good enough. My wife , who has Parkinson's had to leave it when it was cold. We were so disappointed.

We are regulars of the jack rabbit and love it there. The staff are so welcoming and friendly and the food and drinks are amazing. We also bring our pup up to the bar area and she too gets lots of loving and treats from the staff. Would definitely recommend!

Great Sunday lunch, thank you to all front of house but especially the kitchen team.

A two hour wait when you have a two year old is totally unacceptable. They were understaffed and apologised but failed when asked twice to expedite our order were fobbed although very politely. We came here a few months ago and the waiting was the major issue then - I can’t recommend it even if the staff were pleasant enough

BIT DISAPPOINTED WITH THE MEAL. USUALLY HAVE LASAGNE BUT THAT WASNT ON THE MENU. TRIED PIE BUT TASTELESS SAUCE AND PASTRY WASNT PUFF PASTRY WHICH I LIKED. HUSBAND LIKED HIS STEAK BUT HAD GONE UP TO £26 . WE HAVE BEEN GOOD CUSTOMERS FOR MANY YEARS SERVICE IS USUALLY VERY GOOD THOUGH

We ordered the Sunday roast and chicken parmesan, the chips and potatoes were very dry, the veg cooked to mush and the meat was tough. For 18,50 per plate we expected better. The coffee too was horrible. The staff did their best but they were understaffed, so little things like a clean of the table and salt and pepper took a long time. We will not be coming back.

Good family birthday meal. Shame is was spoilt by a member of staff getting all defencive regarding a wasp in the food (loads of wasps flying round) he looked at it and said. Well what you want me to do about it. It didn't come from the kitchen.

Dissapointing to see that even after a refurb the pest issue hasn’t been resolved. We sat in the garden and there were numerous large rats running around. Historically we were unfortunate enough to witness a rodent inside, to which the staff brushed off at the time, seemingly unbothered by this revelation ( this was before the refurb ). We had hoped the pest situation would have been addressed during this time. Multiple patrons also witnessed the rodents scurrying around the beer garden & staff were informed to which they replied ‘oh sorry’. Definitely wouldn’t eat here now knowing there is an active presence of pests.

The Jack Rabbit Plymouth… just WOW! Blown away by the attentiveness of the staff! Will be returning soon. Food was nice, and overall was a relaxed evening. Thank you!

A lovely meal signature burger good though my wife made wrong choice no fault of chef. The main point for myself was the waitress service. I believe her name was Lauren. Very cheerful and attentive throughout. Nothing was of too much trouble very polite and friendly. A credit to the jack rabbit itself. As an ex matelot for service BZ.

Came into the jack rabbit for the first time a month ago, and have been back for the amazing food and great selection of drinks every weekend since. Great food Great team so polite and willing to go the extra mile with minimal effort. Would highly recommend 5 stars from me

The beef and Yorkshire puddings were lovely. However the potatoes left a lot to be desired. They were small. Needed a steak knife to cut them and had no potato inside. Very disappointing. Will not return

Wonderful Sunday Lunch experience at The Jack Rabbit yesterday. We were a group of 6 adults all ordering the Sunday Trio, plus desserts. Allergies were catered for superbly and the staff were very attentive. We’re looking forward to returning soon.

After the reviews online we were excited to try this place. After ordering sunday roasts our food came out. Vegetables were uncooked, very hard and the beef was full of fat and also undercooked. Stuffing was raw and you get about 3 tablespoons of gravy. Roast potatoes were hard to cut, 100% microwaved and not fresh. Overall very bad, I am aware that the quality of food in the UK isn't good in most places, but it's sad. Wouldn't visit again.

Well decorated and organised restaurant with an interesting sectional layout separating the pub, restaurant and outdoor seating sections (all of which have their own atmospheres). The food was tasty but the vegetables were a bit tough and could have done with being cooked a little bit more. The lady who brought our food seemed good enough at her job but I did get a bit of an upset vibe from her which I'm not sure she was wholly trying to hide. Otherwise, I had a pleasant meal here with my partner.

Beautiful evening enjoyed by all. Welcomed and walked to the table by Thom and introduced to our server Elena. Was explained the soup and pie of the day. Drink order taken swiftly and delivered to our table by Thom who knew who ordered what despite not taking the order! How?! We had a lovely evening and upon leaving we thanked Thom once again. Elena was splendid.

We only went in for a quick drink but Lauren on the bar was so friendly and chatty that we stayed for dinner. Food was amazing and we didn’t have to wait long either

It was the first time I’ve visited since the revamp, but certainly wasn’t the last! The welcome from Craig was warm and professional as usual and all the team were absolutely superb. Food was absolutely spot on! Fabulous food, great atmosphere, and fantastic service!

I've been here before for lunch and it was a good experience but the last time we came, I ordered the brisket sandwich and my husband ordered the seasonable vegetables wrap. They both came with a small side of chips and were about 11 pounds each. The brisket sandwich had a sad and thin layer of brisket between two thin slices of white bread. And the vegetable wrap barely had any vegetables and had no flavor. It was a very disappointing meal and a waste of money.

We really enjoyed our dinner at the Jack Rabbit, it's a beautiful place with nice good and excellent service.

We had a meal at the Jack Rabbit after our wedding ceremony yesterday and it was perfect! The food was delicious and the staff were so friendly and helpful. Ryan made our experience so relaxed and our families were extremely impressed! Massive thank you again to Ryan for looking after us!

What a hidden gem! I was staying at the Future Inn in Plymouth and due to the dire food in the hotel was driven out in search of proper pub grub. I found the Jack Rabbit and what a delight. The menu was expansive but not too much, service was great with staff knowledgeable enough to know what to recommend especially regarding allergies, prices reasonable and food was superb. If I'm ever down that way again I'd definitely pop back for another visit.

Really nice staff. Lovely girl st the bar who took my order made me feel really welcome. Chicken skewers were delicious. Would eat there again. Highly recommended

This is the fourth time going here and it’s continued to disappoint us. How annoying it is to not have items available on the menu, I understand on odd occasions items may be sold out but on each of r visits …. My family and I visit this Sunday and again a lot of food was not available through being sold out. Not Acceptable We waited over 50 minutes for the food and asked where it was when other tables had their meals who had arrived after us. We had are Grandaughter age 3 so this was a long time awaiting. When are meals did arrive they were brought out and the plates were so hot we could not touch them not suitable for a 3 year old and immediately asked for a cold plate to transfer her meal to. All the vegetables were ROCK hard and food cold though on a baking hot plates, made no sense at all. Offered NOTHING like a free drink as an apology. I have to say the staff were all very pleasant but we wished we hadn’t bothered - just very disappointing. We won’t return again as 4 th time of eating a meal here which is a shame as it’s local to me and my family. Rather go to the lopes arms Not paying these food prices, over all poor

Had dinner last night with my friend for her birthday and was served by the lovely Joseph, such a fabulous evening, great service and great food!

Will never go back. Went for drinks and lunch with colleagues and experienced disgusting service and behaviour from the manager. We were told by the manager there were no tables despite there clearly being 5/6 empty tables. A waitress seated us 10 minutes later when he wasn't around. The manager came over to us and was rude to us because 2 of us were stood. We explained we were taking drinks orders and going to the bar, he continued to speak rudely to us and said everyone had to be seated. We asked if we could use the 2 empty seats on the table behind us and he said the table was booked so no. The couple on another table by us offered their 2 spare chairs and he said we weren't allowed to do that so we split into 2 groups, 1 seated and 1 stood at the bar. There were several large, empty tables at the back of the room so we asked if we could move so we could all sit together so we could order food. He said 'there was nothing he could do today.' The dining area continued to empty and no one else came in so one of our group sat on the empty chair behind our table and was asked to move. He offered to move when the booking arrived. No one arrived. The manager was heard being incredibly rude about us behind the bar. At this point we had had enough and decided to finish our drinks and leave. One of our group spoke to him before we left. He said he didn't know how many of us there were- lie- he was told as soon as we got there. He said they were fully booked-lie, it was half empty. He said we were rude to the waitresses- lie we were very polite despite how we were treated. The waitresses and bar staff were lovely. The manager is a disgrace. He cost the company a lot of money that afternoon as we went elsewhere for food. Several customers approached us to say they would never return after seeing how we were treated.

Our group was treated disgustingly by the manager. His total lack of customer service skills is going to kill that business. A shame for the other staff who work there.

Visiting a friend in Plymouth on a busy Friday night. Loved the steak and red wine pie. Huge chunks of tender steak. Lovely greeting and warm friendly service throughout the evening. To the Manager…..excellent team of servers evening of Fri 28 June. I don’t know what training your employees receive but can you show the rest of the country how it’s done!

Lovely pub close to where I was staying for a works training conference. Plenty of parking, nice selection on the menu and really friendly staff.

Was visiting the area and travelling alone with my dog. After looking for pet friendly places to eat, this place came up just down the road. A short drag later (that’s the dog dragging me… not the other way around) I walked through the doors of a gorgeous little pub. Very clean inside and out. I was welcomed with a smile by the bar staff and the restaurant staff. The dog was immediately made to feel at home and lost all interest in me and found his new temporary ahead scratcher/servant. He was even given biscuits before I could even get to the bar. I can thoroughly recommend the beef brisket sandwich. It was served quickly and tasted absolutely amazing and there was no sparing the meat! There was loads of it! Served with a perfect portion of chips, not too many, but just enough. Can’t recommend this place enough to anyone visiting the area or even locals that haven’t been before. If you’re looking for a dog friendly place to eat I think you’d be hard pressed to find somewhere better.

The new surroundings and atmosphere was great, friendly staff, the food was unfortunately terrible, seem to have lost their way in how food should be presented (Sunday roast, pilled in a heap, in middle of plate) vegetables so undercooked that they couldn't be cut/near raw. Beef also way undercooked (was sent back) but rest of meal just not upto scratch. 2nd go at a roast there in a few months, no improvement, as bad.

A very welcome haven from the hospital. Been hiding out here between Derriford visiting hours this week - less than 10 mins walk from main entrance. Lovely food, cosy atmosphere, friendly staff & regulars. Belly pork, fruit crumble and chicken burgers all highly recommended.

I have just enjoyed a lovely meal. It was lovely to get a meal that tasted like a proper meal, which is why I often get food from you thank you so much

Just eaten here and can highly recommend it. I had the pan-roasted lamb and my wife had the seared fillets of sea bass and king prawns. Both were very delicious, service was spot on also Will be visiting again.

Very helpful staff. Knowledgeable about Gluten Free and other allergies, let me know that although my meal was Gluten Free it was cooked in oil that had Gluten containing ingredients cooked in as well. My Fish and Chips was beautifully cooked and for me a large portion. I was eating after having had an appointment at Derriford hospital, the Jack Rabbit is only minutes away by car.
