Had a great experience here before, but updating the review as we came again and it's a fantastic place. We were incredibly well looked after by a chap called Glenn who was great. Throughly recommend!!

Visited last week & had a meal here. The food was great but the service was outstanding. Our server Deb really went the extra mile! Thanks so much Deb!

Beautiful evening enjoyed by all. Welcomed and walked to the table by Thom and introduced to our server Elena. Was explained the soup and pie of the day. Drink order taken swiftly and delivered to our table by Thom who knew who ordered what despite not taking the order! How?! We had a lovely evening and upon leaving we thanked Thom once again. Elena was splendid.

Came to visit a friend in Plymouth, they took me to their favourite pub (the Jack Rabbit) and I loved it! The food was great, the staff were lovely and the place just looks awesome too.

I had guests from Poland that were extremly happy with this place. Amazing customer service and the food was out of this world. I reccommed this restaurant to everyone ,definetly will visit again .

Great staff. Low grade food supplier though. Greenking and harvester do much better quality food and for half the price. Disappointing quality for a very high price.

Basically a posh spoons, drink prices are a bit high but atmosphere is nice and has a good location. Parking is free as long as you enter your number plate inside the pub.

Really Lovely spur of the moment meal this evening! Soup for starter was incredible (just not enough bread for my liking but that's the same in every restaurant!) Sticky Toffee and custard was truly a star of the show. Zinfandel rose was sublime. Really lovely Waiter whos name I unfortunately didn't get and the young manager was so lovely always a smile every time I saw him.

Came down to Plymoth to see the National Marine Aquarium for my birthday and had food here the night before. For the prices everything was amazing. The restruant was clean, staff friendly and talkative, and ordering was fast, and the wait for food was quick too and everything was delicious! I definitely recommend!

Came with the family, delicious food. That lamb skewer is top tier and the waitress was fantastic as well.

Staff were really friendly and helpful. Food was top quality and well worth the stay for tea that night. Would definitely recommend to anyone and will be returning soon

I brought my 90 year old mother here for supper while staying at a hotel in Derriford waiting for my father to recover from heart surgery at the hospital. I wanted to treat her to a special meal as the strain of the past few weeks has been tremendous. I googled pubs near Derriford hospital and the Jack Rabbit popped up. I booked it on its cute name and didn’t know what to expect. My mother said she has never had a finer meal and she has been all round the world in her 90 years! The food was delicious, the ambiance was spectacular and the service was absolutely brilliant. I can’t express enough how wonderful our experience at the Jack Rabbit was. 10 out of 10. We loved it.

Long wait for waitress to approach table. Devon crab cake was expensive and tasteless. As steaks had run out had steak and venison pie which was almost inedible as so hard, including the bottom which even the gravy couldn't soften! Roasted carrots were so hard that they couldn't be cut - presumably too old. The pie content was indicernable. Definitely not worth the full price of £18.50. Luckily we had a coupon for 50% off main meals, but even so lacked value. We won't be going back in a hurry.

Lovely pub/restaurant, it has a comfortable welcoming feel, the staff are always attentive and friendly. The food is always delicious and served propmtly.

My husband and I visited this pub on December 30th 2024 whist we were staying next door at the Travelodge as my husband was having spinal surgery the next day at Derriford hospital. We had to sit in the bar as the restaurant was full. We were told that the food would be the same and so would the service. We ordered fish and chips and when it came we were not happy. We had to go and look for cutlery and condiments as none were brought to us. As for the food the chips were very few and lukewarm. And the fish underneath the soggy batter was grey and not at all appetising. And I had never seen a skin on mushy peas, I have now! And to add insult to injury they charged us £42 for this meal and two glasses of lemonade from the pumps. Needless to say we will not be returning here unless it improves significantly.

I believe it’s not the first time Becky-has been caught drinking at work. I hope head office sees this as it’s clearly getting out of hand. Smelly of booze around customers and acting in a disorderly manner.

We went for the New Year’s Eve meal but were very disappointed with the food. My wife’s starters of fondu which had been heated until there was no cheese present. Her pork belly was not rendered enough. My meal of venison only filled less than half a plate with Dauphinoise potatoes the size of a pancake, about a table spoon of red cabbage and a few green beans. Both our sweets were good but by this time our expectations for something good was very low. All this for £58.95 each! I don’t think we will be going back next New Year’s Eve. The only plus side was the service staff was excellent.

We had an amazing Sunday roast. The food was well presented, hot and delicious, thankyou Rob. Craig and his team were very welcoming and friendly. Joseph our gentleman who saw to our needs was very helpful,knowledgable and friendly. Lauren made exceptional lattes, thankyou. The Jack and it's team create a lovely atmosphere where you just know you will want to experience it again. Thankyou guys we had a lovely lunch. 10/10

Your food was served luke warm which probably means it's been hanging around for quite a while. Probably explains the rock hard roast potatoes and dry meat. Won't be back and wouldn't recommend

Boxing Day at the Rabbit - Great atmosphere, wonderful staff and tasty food. Well worth a visit - highly recommended.

The Jack is magic at Christmas time, couldn't fault it 10/10 cant wait to return

Nice pub, shame that yet another chain feels the need to over charge for a G&T, £9.75!! They'll probably blame rising costs, but to be charged £3.ish for the tonic is shocking and the staff come across quite abrupt and blunt with their customer service skills, asked if they had a rose to which they said, no!! No offer of an alternative etc... just blunt answers, it was a bit like they felt like they were doing you a favour, not making it a pleasurable experience. If chains/pubs etc want return business so they can carry on charging crazy prices then a more friendly approach would be welcome, this might make the customers spend a bit more money!!!

We popped in at 11.30am on Christmas Day just for a drink. It was very cosy and festive. We'll do the same thing next year as it was a lovely way to start the festivities.

We visited just for drinks so cannot comment on the food. Very over inflated prices - £9.75 for a single gin and tonic! Bar staff were unhelpful when asking for a certain bottle of rose wine.....we felt like an inconvenience! No alternative offered or suggested, just "no we have run out". We had a nice afternoon and the pub has a nice atmosphere but unfortunately the staff do not make you feel very welcome.

Visited on Christmas Day for the special 3 course menu which was absolutely perfect and very filling. Such a lovely lunch in a warm atmosphere with great service. We weren't rushed and had plenty of time in between courses to chat before moving on to the next course. Highly recommended.

We had two meals here recently whilst visiting my Father in Plymouth. My partner and I had the three course festive menu on the Thursday night, which was very good. Our server was Katy who was very good and a thank you to the Manager for giving me some ice for our drinks( we were staying next door in the Travelodge). On Friday my partner and I, my Father and Brother had breakfast at the Jack Rabbit. All our breakfasts were excellent. But what made the occasion so memorable, was the lady who looked after us. Dee was outstanding. She was efficient, friendly and vivacious. Thank you to all the Team at the Jack Rabbit for making our visits so enjoyable

Atmosphere is warm, happy and inviting. The manager (Craig) although very busy was talking to the guests and nothing was too much trouble. Lauren, Dan, Ryan were brilliant, happy to chat and have a laugh with us and the other guests. We love coming here. Thom was amazing. He gave us 110%, our drinks were never empty which was fabulous as I was on the gin!

Have to compliment you on Lauren “H” She made my wife’s day today with her attention to detail and courtesy. She made us all laugh so much it just made her day.

I recently visited The Jack Rabbit in Plymouth and found the atmosphere to be warm and inviting, with friendly staff and comfortable surroundings. I was disappointed with the portion size of the chips when ordered separately; the serving was insufficient for one person and did not offer good value for the price. On top of that, it took at least 25 minutes to arrive and wasn’t even hot. Overall, while the pub provides a pleasant environment, I would recommend they reassess the portion sizes of their side dishes to ensure a more satisfying dining experience.

Visited the Jack Rabbit for meal after being recommended here. Was really impressed, the food was amazing but more importantly the service from Thom was exceptional, nothing was too much and so welcoming. It was busy but Thom still found the time to give excellent service and ensure we were looked after. Overall, really impressed with the restaurant and will definitely be back!!

My best friend, daughter and myself attended for our Xmas meal today and the manager Ryan dealt with all our issues perfectly. The food was fantastic too. We go back on a monthly basis due to how good it is

I usually visit the Jack Rabbit when visiting my mum in Plymouth- we go there for lunch. As always the food was excellent and the portion size very good. We were served by a lovely waitress who looked after us exceptionally well - thank you. We'll visit again.

This meal was extremely expensive but thought would be a treat . Added pigs and blankets and cauliflower cheese wich each portion was £4,95 but both did not come with our meal and did not get money back for the extra items I paied for will not be ordering again due to paying £80 for 2 roast dinners and 2 affters when some of the stuff you had to paied for extra didn’t even come rip of exspecialy when you have to pay £4.95 for roast potatoes wich usually are part of your roast .

Went here this time last year and got treated like dirt from the staff and kept our mouths shut. However, upon coming here again. Once again the staff are rude and obnoxious to their customers. I’m a paying customer, the least they could’ve done was speak with some respect. Seems to have a huge issue with younger customers for some strange reason. Waiter was absolutely shocking with rude and blunt answers. Won’t be coming here again unless the staff get trained to speak to their younger customers with respect. Was going for a 3 course meal with drinks and walked out after having the drinks as the customer service put us off. Their loss.

Bought 2 overpriced drinks to be told we had to sit outside in the dark and cold because the drinking area was full. Even though there were many free places in the restaurant area. You could not have let us sit until those who reserved arrived? Assuming they were all reserved... Won't be back, just want to take your money, no care for anything else. Take your money elsewhere

Lovely pub with very warm welcoming staff. Lovely choice of meals on the menu & yummy pub food. Great value for money this visit as it was 40% off main meals.

Came tonight with my husband and 2 children and felt welcome as soon as we entered, our server Terri was lovely & constantly made sure we had everything we needed. She was lovely with our 2 children aswell with lots of patience whilst they were ordering. Will be returning 10/10.

I ordered the Mac & Cheese, it was so dry the pasta crunched when I tried to eat it, not even sure if there was any cheese just dried out Mac. I’ve had better ready meals from the supermarket and at a fraction of the price. If they employ a Chef I’m guessing it was their day off. Awful. Would not recommend.

We came here again on Sunday at 12 all had roast, the pub was extremely busy .. food was delicious really enjoyed the pork belly, fatty but that is how we like it, The crumble for desert wow and gluten free amazing dish, my wife is a coeliac and there is a huge range to choose from there fish batter is probably the best gluten free batter we have every had

Fantastic food here. A little pricey but the quality was there so no problem in paying for quality food.

My husband and I came for dinner tonight. Have been before for a Sunday roast and that was amazing so had high hopes for tonight and the food was just as incredible! Staff all really friendly, but have to shout out our waiter Joseph for his amazing customer service, he was really friendly and attentive and made you feel really welcome. Absolute treasure and a great member to the team!

The refurbishment which was done in the spring is very nice. However, the car park is not user friendly for the less mobile and the walk to the entrance isn't under cover either for times of inclement weather. Food, staff and service are all average. Soft drinks expensive.

Been there several times. Since the revamp it is great. Try the skewers.
