The people who went for lunch in July were lucky. We had a table booked for 12:30 for five for lunch only to find when we arrived that the kitchen does not open until 5pm. Why, oh why, did the accept the booking? We were stuck with a very indifferent and vastly overpriced afternoon tea. Two rounds of sandwiches (one ham with too much mustard) and one smoked salmon, cut into fingers to serve five of us. Two scones each with butter that was too cold to spread and a pot of jam plus some very small cakes at £20 a head. I am pretty certain that the scones and cakes were shop bought. We had come from three different directions, so stuck with it and enjoyed time catching up with friends, but never again. One of the chairs at our table was broken, another had holes in the upholstery. It certainly does not look as though it has had the refurbishment mentioned on the website.

Our Airbnb host recommended The Ivy Inn for dinner during our stay in North Littleton, and it did not disappoint. The staff were all warm, friendly & welcoming. Our first visit was on curry night, which we both thoroughly enjoyed. It came as no surprise to hear that the chef had spent time training in India. The food was just as good on our second visit. The beautiful village of North Littleton might be a bit out of the way, but The Ivy Inn is definitely worth travelling for.

We were looking for a good lunch in this area and found it. Very welcoming staff and we booked in for 12 pm. Staff were really friendly, menu was good and varied. I had a delicious Caesar salad with grilled prawns and John had the steak and ale pie, which he said was the best he has ever tasted. We will definitely go back for more.

This was our first to The Ivy Inn but will not be our last. We were warmly welcomed and shown to our table. The restaurant was very clean and well furnished. Our order was quickly taken and served within 20 minutes. We chose a selection of Curries ( this was the speciality Curry night ) The food was excellent, certainly one of the best curries we have ever enjoyed and reasonably priced. The staff were at all times polite and helpful. We will soon book a further visit, probably another speciality night.

Really don't like giving a bad review. Must say though that the service was very good, however the lasagne's were the worst we've ever had. A good 1/2" of melted cheese (mozzarella I would guess) on the top, one layer of pasta sheet, barely any tomato and onion mix in with small amount of meat, and what looked like Parmesan sprinkled in the middle layering of more cheese. Sorry, but a very poor and tasteless (apart from cheese) lasagne.

No welcome, no interaction, safe menu , lacking ideas, but good portions and cooked well. Curry night seems to be popular but we were the only people in the restaurant, were served by a polite staff member- not waiter - wearing a pair of sports shorts trainers and a T shirt. No music in the empty restaurant which looked like it had been robbed! Gaps where tvs once were, boarded up door ways! I had the Ivy burger. What would its USP be? Nothing, totally unremarkable, their special sauce was sparse and a slice of raw white onion overpowering the very tasty burger. Living in Brighton I am spoilt by the choice of food to eat and this was a village pub but to draw in customers you need to be unique. Curry night it is then for the Ivy!

Having received a 20% off voucher through our door ,we thought we would try out this local venue. We were greeted warmly on our arrival …….and that is as far as the good points go!….we were shown tour table and then waited and waited for a staff member to take our food order ( this was after we approached them).Three well filled large plates of carvery’s arrived fairly quickly ,lukewarm veg and beef still alive.Ok ,I like my beef pink but there’s a limit to how pink. We ALL ‘flicked’ politely through our meal and then lay our cutlery down…and waited and waited!!!…….We finally reached over to the next table and grabbed a few menus to hopefully give the deserts a try…..again we waited and waited …by now I’ve given up .A person finally arrived to clear our plates and we decided to leave ( a half empty pub)….paid our bill , gave what we thought was constructive criticism to be be blatantly ‘ couldn’t give a hoot attitude’….Be warned! …there are far better venues and hospitality in the area

Unfortunately we couldn’t eat because we arrived too early and we had to head back to London but we will definitely be returning to try the food which has amazing and glowing reviews. Came for a roast dinner, the pub itself was really nice and pretty with a downstairs dining area. Staff were great as well so a lot of positives about the place. With both or our roasts, I would say the beef/chicken itself was not the best, the meat was chewy/not cooked that well. However, the potatoes, stuffing, yorky, veg were all bang on, so only really the meat bringing this roast down. I think I would give this 3 and a 1/2 stars if I could so not terrible, but you want the meat to be nice on a roast as this is the start if that makes sense.

Well, having booked for Sunday lunch today we pulled up outside. My husband being a bit of an attention to detail sort of person spotted an old sofa dumped outside and ash trays full of butt's and immediately googled trip advisor. The last review said Avoid Avoid Avoid! My husband almost turned the car around as he was convinced it wasn't going to be a good experience. I managed to persuade him to give it the benefit of the doubt and give it a try. The sign on the door said 5* hygiene rating which was a tick in a box for me. We were greeted by a friendly barman who showed us to our table. The waitress promptly took our order for drinks and left us with the menu. My hub ordered a real ale, which he thoroughly enjoyed and I had a chardonnay which was good too. We both ordered the beef Sunday roast, which I kid you not was the nicest piece of beef I've had on a Sunday dinner in a long time! The portion was generous and included cauliflower cheese, which the previous week at a different restaurant we had to pay extra for. Needless to say the plates were cleaned! We both really enjoyed the dinner. We ordered the cinnamon apple crumble, which again was lovely. The service was really friendly and efficient at all times. When we came to pay, which I might add was considerably less than other Sunday lunches we've had, we had a discount on the bill. We were so pleased by the meal, we added a tip back on to say thank you. We were both glad that we didn't let the previous review stop us trying this pub/restaurant out. The only thing I would say is that an old sofa and full ash trays outside seriously gives the wrong impression of the lovely pub this is.

First time I’ve ever written a review. And I felt I needed to as this has to be the worst meal I have ever eaten out. I took my family here and it’s just nothing like any of the reviews. The food was honestly shocking, even the chips were inedible due to having so much salt on them. My 3 year son said they were “yuck” and too salty. We had the curry’s and a pizza with some chips. Couldn’t eat it! The man serving us was lovely though and I think he could tell it was so bad as he gave us 15% off the meal and we didn’t even say anything. Just got the bill ASAP. Only positive was the lovely man serving us. Avoid at all costs. Just doesn’t look like the pictures or any of the reviews

This place doesn't look anything much from the outside, but once you enter the pub, you are greeted by lovely smiling faces and a warm welcome awaits you. We went there for an evening meal with friends and the food was absolutely delicious. The home made pie is to die for, the curries they offer are so tasty. However, I would recommend anyone ordering a curry to ask for more rice, because if like myself, I like plenty of rice to absorb the main curry. I would also recommend that the pub considers proper poppadoms, in oppose to the 3 tiny ones assembled on the plate. The fish dish was delicious, but this dish would be enhanced if there were more potatoes or some bread to soak up the delicious sauce. Overall the food absolutely scrumptious. The service was excellent and the restaurant is lovely. You have a choice of either eating in the pub part, or in the restaurant.

Ordered the chick pea Vege curry- what a disappointment!!! The curry was a full bowl of chickpeas, covered in tomatoes, no other Vege. It didn't taste like curry, more bolognaise. The rice tasted like a boil in the bag rice, still hard. No nann bread, stale poppadoms. My friend and I drove some distance, both excited to taste the delights following reading the positive reviews. We raised our concerns with staff who asked how the curry was? Pushing my comment to one side voicing, " I'll let the chef know" which probably didn't happen. Over priced and horrible

So having been frequent users of the Ivy under its previous incarnation this was our first visit since it reopened under new management. That will be the only comparison old against new. Accommodation is good, plenty of space, and a nice place to be. Service was very good, efficient professional and friendly. We were here for Sunday lunch but were given the option of a Sunday menu or choosing from the main menu, both looked good but we stuck with Sunday lunch. Great whitebait nibbles followed by roast beef, roasties and veg with Yorkshire pud. All excellent and huge portions, so much so we couldn't eat desert, good though the choices looked. It was great to see that the reopened Ivy was offering good quality across the board. We are local so will certainly go again, that said it is certainly worth a trip out from further afield.

I had heard that The Ivy Inn, Arrow Lane, North Littleton, Evesham WR11 8EF had been taken over by new management. I made a reservation with family. From the moment we arrived it was clear that the new young manager Kyle and his team were anxious to impress all customers with their knowledge of the large selection of beers, ales and food available on the niche menu. We sat next to the roaring open fire and soaked up the relaxed ambience of the bar lounge, which is very popular with the local villagers and visitors to the rural area. Kyle skillfully guided my family through the menu taking into account any allergies and dietary requirements. Once the first course was ready we were shown through to the Restaurant, which is spacious and has its own unique character. The starters and main course were all served in a timely fashion and the locally sourced ingredients were a culinary delight. The food was to the highest standard and we duly complimented the chef on excellent choice of ingredients, herbs and spices. The deserts also were all freshly prepared and the perfect finish to a quite frankly superb meal. Myself and the family will definitely return and we thoroughly recommend this jewel to anyone wanting to sample phenomenal food in a very traditional country public house setting. Well done Kyle and to your team. I am sure Kyle, that with all your hard work, that The Ivy Inn will be a great success.

Visited for dinner as a group of 6 and had a very enjoyable evening. None of us live locally but this was a central location for everyone to meet and had great reviews on TripAdvisor, we were not disappointed. This is a lovely quaint country pub, but with a great mix of old/traditional feel but with modern touches inside. The food was great, everyone enjoyed their meal and wine. A great evening had by all. My only small moan would be that myself and my husband were the last in our party to arrive, we gave the party name and the member of staff said no one else had arrived so we could enjoy a drink in the bar while we waited, which we did. Only after 20 minutes of waiting did another member of staff realise the rest of our party were actually already seated and had been waiting for us the whole time. A small error but a little annoying none the less. Not that I would let that put me off returning.

For starters I had red onion, fig and feta cheese quiche and my friend had the duck they were both good. Mains my friend had pork and I had beef everything was lovely except for the red wine jus which was really runny neither of us had read the menu fully and would have much preferred gravy however they did take mine back and exchange it for gravy my friend was too far into his meal for this. A good idea to have a choice of either. My biggest gripe was the waitress kept saying do you guys want.... and to me this was inappropriate in a restaurant of this class...maybe some lessons

Brilliant lunch. Fantastic service. Friendly and accommodating. Food was wonderful. We were a large party but were served in a timely manner - roasts, veggie options, smaller portions - nothing was too much trouble. Had a lovely area all to ourselves. Lucky North Middleton! Will make a point of visiting when we’re in the area again.

Tucked away in north Littleton this pub has been taken over and taking it to a really high level. The decor is very modern with a country feel.Staff are attentive and knowledgeable proper linen on the tables in the restaurant , bar has a comfy feel with sofas and comfy chairs. There is a georgeous private dining area too. If you know this pub it's actually unrecognisable. The menu is creative and sourcing local produce. We went today for the Sunday roast , great quality beef and fab vegetables with roasties cooked in beef dripping , couldn't fault it . I will be back and highly recommended this establishment

Beautifully cooked and presented fresh food. A treat for the taste buds. Decent wine. Good choice options on the menu for starters, mains and desserts. Evening meal was served in a war, cosy and very attractive dining room. Friendly and highly efficient service from all the staff - from the pub barman on booking and entering, to the hostess and waitress. No sense of awkwardness or being out of place when dining alone either, which made the meal and visit all the more pleasant. Suggest checking opening times and booking a table for the evening meal in advance.

This pub restaurant continues to be an outstanding experience not only is the fresh food cooked and presented to a very high standard it is accompanied by a very welcoming and proactive bar staff. The menu is a little limited however this probably means that the standard of the food delivered is so good and highly recommended what ever your requirements

The best food I’ve had out for ages! I went with the family and had the beef Sunday roast, the meat was cooked to perfection and the apple crumble I had was the best I’ve tasted yet! I’d recommend to everyone!

Just ask for Sam, and nothing can go wrong! The children's request for food was Sam's focus and their perfect supper was served mega- fast ( as they were very hungry after far too much activity ). When it came to the adults choice, his patience was exceptional as no-one could make up their minds! Lots of delicious choices and well, the puddings; even if you are very full you have to have an 'Ivy Inn' pudding.

Excellent service and excellent food, we were so impressed, they even happily prepared a baby sized portion of the gnocchi for our baby daughter, which seems very rare these days as we are often met with a no! what a lovely little place. We can see why it gets such good reviews! Would recommend highly!

Paid a visit with family after living nearby for 20 years. What a difference a change of landlord can make.

We enjoyed a delicious Sunday lunch recently at 'The Ivy". Several of us had the traditionally cooked roast beef - not slow cooked - which was done perfectly to each of our different requirements. The plate was not overwhelmed with an outsize Yorkshire pudding, I am glad to say. The Yorkshire pudding was, nevertheless, really good as were the separately served vegetables and gravy. It was truly delicious and the puddings maintained the high standard. We were served by very pleasant staff and will look forward to our next visit.

This was an absolute treat. I took 2 friends to The Ivy Inn for lunch, after flying into Bidford on Avon. We all thought the food was great, and the coffees in particular. Quintessential country, friendly, warm and welcoming. Just a superb place to spend an afternoon having lunch.

So to the Ivy on a Saturday night, arrived to be told that there was a problem in the kitchen, nothing to do with the staff, electrical gremlins had struck. A drink on the house smoothed the way, and almost immediately normal service was resumed. Nice starter of mushrooms, mains of a really good steak, and stuffed guinea fowl, very good as well, service was good, atmosphere nice, and good wine, a nice evening all round.

We were invited by dear friends to a celebration birthday lunch at 'The Ivy', the staff gave us a very warm welcome and on a cold wet and windy day it was a welcome site to see the stunning log burner blazing in the restaurant. We were in a party of 9, we were seated in the far end of the restaurant which gave the feel of a private dining room, this made the event very special. The service was very professional yet friendly, and as for the food!!! wow!!! nothing could be faulted and everything was really fresh and beautifully presented, the chef is clearly very talented.

Last night we had one of the best meals ever! From the welcome to the end it was lovely. Service was impeccable, professional and very very friendly. The menu choices were brilliant, the food, mmmmmm, my guinea fowl, the brisket of beef, the pork, truly superb. Oh the dessert! The best creme brulee I have ever tasted! Thank you The Ivy for a wonderful evening I would have no hesitation in recommending your establishment to all of my family and friends. I would add that it was the first time I had visited since the 80s' when lovely Jim Cox ran it, he would be so impressed.

Amazing coffee, amazing staff, amazing town with very nice people. I had a fantastic time there overall. However, reception is poor in Bishampton town and inside the shop or any buildings you might not be able to make any calls, send messages, or make online payments without network interruptions. I really hope the relevant authorities can improve mobile phone network reception in the area. Also if you plan on using a debit card at the village shop/post office to pay for coffee and other items, it might not work for some reason. It’s the single most painful experience I had to endure since I had to look for another post office to withdraw cash.

Simply disappointed. No meet and greet at the door. We just stood in the entrance despite a staff member doing nothing. Disproportionate amount of time waiting for a menu. Asked to choose wine before we had even seen a menu. There were lots of changes to the menu which we were verbally told but to repeat this to all diners was time consuming. A simple menu reprint would have been better. The waitresses were polite but there was no happiness. When we asked one to explain what something was the answer came back as ‘a pastry thing’. There was a lack of dish knowledge by everyone except the main man. Who was running around taking orders and producing bills and basically doing the brunt of the work. The terrine starter and beetroot gravlax were bland. Main courses were good but the chocolate torte was more of a sponge cake with no robust/ deep taste. The wine we chose was good and reasonably priced. It was meant to be a special occasion but was an expensive lack lustre affair.

I love coming here and come most weeks. Lisa and Tony who run it are lovely and they have really nice food, very cheap surprisingly too. It’s got a nice ambience about the place especially when you sit outside with the wind chimes and the old antiques that surround you. There also some antiques/curiosity cabins next door and there’s a nice communal feel between them and the tea room. In short, visit here and come and enjoy the nice ambience 😌

Took them up on their two fish and chips for £18. The meals were excellent. Crispy batter, tasty haddock, crispy chips with fluffy centres. Best we've had for a good long while. And not too big either so could walk away not feeling over stuffed. We'll done Anchor.
