Lovely place for a special occasion lunch. We really enjoyed the food and it has a great atmosphere. The service is very effecient and professional!!

I was present at a baby shower yesterday the service from Vitorino were amazing they catered to all our host Benitas needs. The food was amazing. It was just great service the down side was the room was rather hot all in all a great experience for our friends first baby.

We went very recently, we enjoyed the afternoon tea experience and it was spectacular, the attention, the food was top-notch.

Mother’s Day breakfast. Half order didn’t arrive. Waiters oblivious. 4 managers walking around but also oblivious. Asked for rest of order still didn’t arrive. Held hand up for 2 min looking for service. Nothing. Ordered fresh squeeze orange juice and got orange juice from carton. When I complained about the service I got a sarcastic apology from front of house while she sniggered with colleagues. This is my third time at the Ivy and had these issues each and every time. it will be my last.

this place we as locals we give few go but since open massive drop on food quality standards . crazy how the place can be ruined and run down just by changing management and staff. use to be out favourite place . disaster disaster disaster . the breakfast yesterday was my last go as i was thinking can’t be bad a swell , food disaster . mr caring should really follow up on this location as amazing hen in his portfolio and reputation.

Went there for dinner with my son and his new girlfriend. No reservations but there was plenty empty tables so we ware in luck. The only way I can describe experience is chaos. Appetizer arrived after main course, sparkling water never arrived, ribeye steaks more like 8oz not 12oz. Manager on several occasions removed food while we ware still eating. Honestly we had better service in McDonalds. £216 for 3 main courses, house white and 1 bread and 4 sides I was expecting more. Will not be returning.

Since this location of the restaurant chain opened in spring 2017, we've been happy to book in again and again for lunch, dinner, or a few cocktails after the theater or a shopping trip. Of course, all the locations are similar, but I always find the team at Richmond particularly charming and the stylish interior unusually well-executed. The dishes are generally of decent quality, but on our last visits, they were served lukewarm. The only real negative point is the horrible 'coffee specialties' – regardless of the form (cappuccino & espresso) they're served. A well-trained Italian barista could remedy this! Otherwise, you're better off opting for a fine digestif. Bottoms up! 🥃

I had a full English breakfast and really wasn't impressed by the taste; I've had much tastier and fresher food. Unforgivable at this price! The ambiance was very good, the staff superficially friendly. I can't recommend this restaurant.

The Ivy never lets you down. Great food, service and atmosphere on a very busy Saturday evening. The kids loved it too.

We went to Ivy Richmond last Saturday with my daughter and really liked the environment. It was very busy and we appreciated being placed even without a reservation. However the food and the service were disappointing. Even though we mentioned that we don’t like fat in th meat, the waiters were so lack of time and attention that we ended up with slight meat but full fat in a fine dining small portion. I had to share my daughters burger :) and she could not find the usual burger taste either. It is sad that this design and environment that feels you great disappoints you in the phase of service and food turning fine dining into a fast food experience. The bill was relatively high when thinking of leaving the restaurant almost hungry. I probably would not go again. Thanks.

There is a major problem with the red wine here. 90% of all the reds, and all the nicer more expensive bottles, are stored in a cold cellar. The friendly, but bemused staff, admitted that if you want a correct temperature red, you need to choose from a choice of 6 (cheap) reds stored behind the bar. It’s a common problem. But it renders 90% of the reds undrinkable. Please store your reds at room temperature. Thanks.

Lovely meal after the staff accommodated our request to move tables considering our booking request. Freddie is a credit to your restaurant. He was very engaging, efficient and made the occasion even better.

Freddy our server was great. Despite the large area to cover, he gave good recommendations for food which we loved. The Shepard’s pie and ragu was great.

The food was great, the atmosphere was relaxed and the service was fantastic. Our waitress (Marie) was excellent. Attentive but not intrusive and with a polite and friendly manner. We will be back.

We went for a celebration and had requested a booth table but sadly we were put in a corner table behind a pillar and felt very much separated from the atmosphere and buzz of the restaurant. The staff were really friendly and polite. But by the end of the evening we struggled to get anyone’s attention to get the bill ~ being behind a pillar out of sight staff help! The food however was excellent and we both enjoyed our meals. The shrimp and salmon burger special was delicious.

I give 1 star for dishonesty. This isn't New York. We don't tack on tips as 'service charges' as a way to supplement your waiters poor wages. I won't fight it, but you'll never get my money again. Learn the origin of the word gratuity. Also oven cooked chips. Such class.

Drinks were not given together Server seemed flustered we all didn’t get our drinks at same time. We were being rushed to order before our drinks even arrived! Mains arrived and we were asked 5 times if all good and if we were finished! We order cream tea for dessert - we got our teas but no scones. 10 Mindu tea later still no scones and we told the server who annoying told us we only wanted tea! I quickly corrected him with a stern tone! Scones arrived and we are then told 10 minutes later that they have another booking at our table and if we could finish up! Absolutely disgusting service and the food was mediocre.

Have just been to the Ivy at Richmond. The service was poor food wasn’t the same as before ….we ordered sea bass in saffron sauce which wasn’t the same as I ordered when we last visited in December 2024, felt like the waiter was being racist. We didn’t even finish our meal but the waiter just appeared and said “Are you done”. We ordered for a bottle of water which we never got. I wouldn’t visit The Ivy ever again

Our visit to The Ivy Brasserie Richmond was a wonderful experience, made even more special as we were celebrating our son’s graduation with family. Friendly Service, Despite the Busy Atmosphere The staff were friendly and welcoming, though the restaurant was quite busy, which meant we had to wait a few minutes after being seated before our orders were taken. However, once our orders were placed, the food arrived quickly, which was impressive given how full the restaurant was. Delicious & Well-Priced Graduation Menu We opted for the Graduation Menu, which was priced at £60 per person for a three-course meal with a glass of champagne. The pricing felt reasonable for the quality and experience, and the food itself was delicious. Relaxed Ambience & Beautiful Decor What we appreciated most was that we never felt rushed, allowing us to fully enjoy the moment, celebrate our son's achievement, and catch up with family members we hadn’t seen in a while. The ambience was calm and relaxing, and we loved the intricate decor that gave the restaurant a stylish and elegant feel. Convenient Location Another bonus was the convenient location, being close to both parking areas and public transport, which made getting there easy for everyone. Final Thoughts Overall, The Ivy Brasserie Richmond provided a lovely dining experience, with great food, a relaxed atmosphere, and beautiful surroundings. It was the perfect spot for our special celebration, and we would definitely return in the future!

Went to my favourite local restaurant. Staff already know me so makes it even more special. The new set menu has great options and good value, had the Crab starter and super light and delicate. Shepperd's pie always my go to fav! Go for it if you visit! Recommend to anyone living locally to visit!

You have to have the Negroni. On the food front the duck curry is to die for.

Sad times. I write this review in hopes the right people would read this. I've been going there for the last 10 years, and starting to notice a notable drop in quality of food and service. There were so many things that were off, that we just walked out. From the wrong order being served, to the cold food and stale bread. I really hope they take the necessary steps to fix this place, or it's just going to be another resturant living off it's former reputation whilst gradually losing regulars. In all fairness, the manager was apologetic and understanding.

All I can say is, such a shame! We have visited Ivy before and we have now had 2 quite bad experiences so I felt we need to say something... first time was dodgy thick batter on fish (& chips), this time I was served with brown avocado which tasted like it had been sat in lemon juice for a week! Replacement came very quickly but no improvement on avocado and 1/2 of the poached egg white was 'snotty' too. They didn't charge us for the dish but I went hungry and ordered something elsewhere... It's a shame as one expects a lot better the standards of food in this chain!

We were there on a busy Saturday night. We waited 20 mins + for a bottle of wine to be delivered to the table. When we asked the waiter to follow up he essentially told us “we are very busy, what do you expect?”. When we asked a second time, he did help out and actually go behind the bar to get it himself. Surely management knows Saturdays are busy and would staff the bar accordingly. Second reason for a low rating is table placement. Our table was in a small area just opposite the disabled loo, which was used continually by able bodied patrons all evening, the door not always closing between use. Not a great atmosphere to enjoy an evening out!

I had the pleasure of enjoying the Full English Breakfast at The Ivy Richmond, and it was absolutely delightful! Everything was cooked to perfection, from the crispy bacon to the succulent sausages and perfectly poached eggs. The quality of the ingredients really stood out, making each bite delicious. The service was impeccable, with attentive staff ensuring a wonderful experience. The ambiance added a touch of elegance, making it the perfect start to the day. I will definitely be back for more – this is hands down one of the best breakfasts I've had!

But! We spent an evening in The Ivy, great service from Prujwal, our waiter. I do feel that a little more attention to detail could of been made to make our evening more memorable, a rocking table that needs to be held level with a menu, food that was ok, but nothing that made me feel WoW, maybe I had higher expectations prior to arriving, the Ivy offer a loyalty reward service, it seems an unspoken word in the restaurant, upon leaving, no recognition from anyone within the restaurant. Would we return, unless we went for one of the Ivy chain offers, No.

I recently visited The Ivy Richmond Brasserie to celebrate a Wedding Anniversary, and it was an absolutely delightful experience from start to finish. The interiors were stunning. The food was exceptional. They even surprised us with a lovely dessert plate to celebrate the occasion, which was such a thoughtful gesture. However, one thing to note is the lack of dedicated parking, which can be a bit inconvenient, especially during busy times. It's worth planning ahead for public transport or nearby parking options. Overall, The Ivy Richmond Brasserie exceeded my expectations, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to anyone looking for a fantastic dining experience in Richmond. I can’t wait to return.

We came at a busy time, so although the service was brilliant we waited a long time for the mains. Food was lovely. Staff were friendly and attentive.

I love the ivy Richmond , BUT, it has fallen in quality of service and food since I came here 2 months ago. The waiter was very rude to me and came very close to my face which was quite disusting, I didn’t pay the service charge because my food was 45 minutes late and I requested for the burger to not be burnt (which it was , twice). As an avid enjoyer of the Ivy Richmond Restaurant, this experience was rather disappointing and I was very dissatisfied with the quality of service and food. I hope to not be disrespected and have someone’s breath on top of me again when and if I come back to the Ivy Richmond. I found it quite foul and will not be returning in the near future. Husain Ali. The Ivy in Richmond is one of my favourite eateries, as well as the delicious dishes, I love the buzz of the place and it's vibrant decor.

Great evening with friends in this busy restaurant, but we hardly noticed how busy it was. Table staff were very attentive, helpful and fun. Food came without a long wait.

Great experience, we went for brunch with family and friends and we had a great time. Will go back for sure!

Enjoyed a lovely family lunch at the Ivy Richmond! The service was a quality one - our server, Enoch, was particularly attentive and extremely helpful regarding the menu choices and very cordial. The atmosphere was lovely for a Saturday lunch and the decor was beautiful. I really enjoyed their duck salad which was rich in flavour and had a good balance of duck and salad portions. Would recommend.

In my opinion, the food service was very slow, and they kept forgetting things, so I had to ask again. The food was good, but I wouldn't come back. For the money they charge, I think they should have better service.

Me and my partner celebrated the New Years eve here at the end of 2024. There was a set menu that we had to choose from. For the starters I chose the burrata and my girlfriend ate the duck salad which was were both very tasty. The disappoint for me was the mushroom spaghetti. It had no flavour at all and I did not eat all of it. My partner enjoyed her Seabass with the truffle chips. The dessert may have saved the day as the chocolate dome was divine. The server was not that great as she at many times forgot to bring the forks and knives with the dish . I think she was a temporary server and was not very familiar with the menu too.I may visit the Ivy again in the future as on days like New Years they cannot be at its best.The Ambience is very 1920's and worth a visit if your in Richmond.

Celebrated my sister's birthday today (10 September) at this beautiful restaurant. We ordered from the 1917 set menu which had lots of good dishes to choose from. Roman our waiter was very attentive and professional, and he surprised my sister with a lovely decorated dessert with a birthday candle. It made her day!

We have been visiting the Ivy for many years now, as we live quite close, and it is very convenient! I am quite impressed how they have kept their standards very high, for a long time!

This was my third visit to The Ivy in Richmond. The first was during our house-hunting trip in the area, and the staff were so delightful that they wished us luck in getting our offer accepted. Fast forward a year, we’re now locals, and I returned for a date night with my husband. Sitting at the bar was just as delightful as dining at a table on our previous visit. The ambience, food, and cocktails were exceptional, but the real highlight remains the staff—their service and hospitality are second to none. Remarkably, all three visits were without reservations, yet the team, despite being incredibly busy, always managed to accommodate us with such grace. If you’re in Richmond, this is the place to visit—it truly ticks all the boxes!

This evening, my family and I dined at The Ivy Richmond Brasserie Restaurant. The Ivy is our regular haunt, a place we visit quite frequently. We had made a reservation, and the table reserved for us was in an excellent spot. The wine( Pinot Grigio Blush)was superb, and the food was delectable. For the main course, we ordered Grilled Chicken Salad and lobster linguine which was truly exquisite. However, there was one issue regarding the details of the food deal that our waiter did not explain well.(It is worth mentioning that our waiter tonight did not display a friendly demeanor.) During our previous visit to Ivy, Vitorino was our waiter (I hope I have spelled his name correctly). He is a wonderful person who always takes great care of us. Although he was not our waiter tonight, he came over to greet us warmly. I must extend my heartfelt thanks to him for that.

We had a delightful dinner at this charming spot in Richmond to celebrate a birthday and wedding anniversary. Seeking a break from the hustle and bustle of central London, we opted for this local gem, and it didn’t disappoint. Ambiance: The ambiance was lovely, warm, and inviting, though the restaurant was quite busy, which added to its lively atmosphere. Drinks and starters: We began with the Little Helper Colada and Christmas Colada, creative takes on the classic Piña Colada. Both the alcoholic and non-alcoholic versions were delicious, though I was slightly disappointed that they didn’t come with the adorable snowman garnish shown on the menu. For starters, we tried the Zucchini Fritti, a generous portion that was far too large for just two people but paired well with the drinks. Mains: For the main course, we had the Rendang Plant-Based Curry and the Chicken Supreme Milanese with Truffle Sauce. My partner absolutely loved the chicken dish, while I enjoyed the Rendang curry’s flavors. However, it was packed with carrots, and I would have preferred a mix of vegetables. We also found it needed a touch of salt to enhance the taste. Dessert: We received a complimentary birthday dessert, which was a thoughtful gesture. While it was adorable, the brioche bun was a bit on the dry side and could have been softer. Service: The service was excellent, and we felt well looked after throughout the evening. Overall, it was a wonderful experience. While there were minor areas for improvement, the food, drinks, and service made for a memorable evening close to home.

I had the lobster crab cocktail to start,it's was so cold(one digit from frozen) I couldn't eat it, no taste at all. Ordered the flat chicken. That arrived Slimmy on tongue, coffee was also luke warm, sent the coffee back once, I Would not eat in Richmond Ivy again, poor food, service was excellent

Always lovely to come here. Staff very polite and attentive. Food very consistent, Fish and Chips are massive portion.

We had a great experience at the Ivy in York and so while we were visiting Richmond we thought we would treat ourselves again. Unfortunately we were left extremely disappointed. The chicken skewer starter was grisly, my partner ordered a steak medium rare and it was over cooked and as tough as an old boot. I ordered the lobster linguine which was utterly tasteless. Good service from the waiting staff who took great care of us but overall a very disappointing overpriced experience.

Visited for a special afternoon tea on a busy Saturday afternoon. The table was ready and had the afternoon tea menu ready. Received water, left for 20 minutes. Had to hail a waiter for service to actually receive the Tea. Realised 3/4 way through that we hadn’t been asked for tea or coffee. Eventually got someone to come over, no decaf tea available … expected a proper selection of teas. Very underwhelming experience. Bad value for money & certainly didn’t pay for the “service charge” Go elsewhere !!!

Went in for brunch, thought the food was alright but the service was 11/10, huge shout out to Denise behind the bar, we had a table but chose to sit at the bar and he was so attentive, gave honest recommendations on food and the wine list which was really appreciated. Pass on the raw lobster and shrimp it’s drenched in sauce but the fish and chips were lovely. I’d come back to try the breakfast menu which looked way better

Extremely disappointing experience at The Ivy in Richmond. We specifically went to try the truffle burger, but what we received could have been called the ‘charcoal burger’ instead. It was completely burnt, leaving a bitter, unpleasant taste. After requesting a replacement, the second burger arrived just as overcooked and bitter as the first. To make matters worse, there was no hint of truffle flavor at all. This was such a letdown, especially as I’ve always had great experiences at The Ivy in Brighton. I expected the same high standards but was thoroughly disappointed here.

Celebrated my birthday here :) and loved it. My favourite part is the snowman, it's a wafer shell with different ice cream fillings, comes with a smoky entrance, under the foam there's a hidden pop rock surprise with a few different textures. The staff was just so lovely as well, would recommend for the snowman menu

I visited with a friend for a long overdue catch up. Upon arriving, we presented ourselves at the reception where the host checked us in, took our coats and we were taken to our table. We were introduced to our server Beatrice (B) who was very friendly asked us if we would like some water for the table and said she would give us a few moments to look at the menu. When B returned she took our drinks order. When our drinks arrived, B took our food order. Overall the food was good. I ordered the fish & chips which was nice, but thought that the batter was a bit soggy, however the fish itself was nice. Once our table was cleared B gave us the desert menu. Both myself & my friend opted for a cocktail. To my complete surprise a birthday desert plate was given to me, I thought that my friend had asked for this, but discovered that it was actually B who did this as she saw that I was celebrating an upcoming birthday. I was so touched at how thoughtful this was. Beatrice was super friendly and helpful, going the extra mile by not only giving me a birthday plate but also allowed us to extend our table.

Been back again to try a celebration dinner with my family and again got really disappointment with the food, overpriced for what it is and too simple. Food was okayish as expected to be impressed, steak £40 by itself not even few chips with it. Had calamari starter, dry, hard and small portion. Venison tartar, not great idea, too big pieces and taste let down, toast was too crispy. Arrancini balls look like sample, never seen so small Arrancini before... Service was not great over all big disappointment. Not sure will be back soon

Sunday roast at The Ivy, how very posh of me 😊 They didn't have my usual go to pork belly, but I had no complaints with the beef. The only thing I could moan about was that there was too much food and I was so stuffed 🐷 Wheelchair access ♿ - there is a side entrance with a few steps but they had a ramp for that. There is also an accessible toilet 👍

Very enjoyable place to visit for lunch.

Such a disappointing breakfast. Service was good but the eggs Benedict with avo was awful - mouldy avo that tasted rotten and stale bread. Barely edible. They changed the avo to spinach in cream which was fine but even that didn’t taste great - tasted like it was frozen originally and just no flavour. Left hungry and had to go get a Pret to fill myself up. Was about the worst breakfast I’ve ever had. Still paid full price, really poor for The Ivy.

It was a busy day & service was bad. They tried to kick us out after an hour whilst having brunch. They literally grabbed our plates while we were still eating
