Love it! Thanks to Dan for making our night great.

Beautiful food, cooked perfectly with hearty portion sizes. Our server (young man with a Birmingham accent) was lovely, attentive, and polite. There is a laid back atmosphere and cosy decor, perfect for a date night or family meal. Vegan menu/kids menu. Pricing is ££ - a meal for two, 2 starters and 2 mains could be anything from £45-60. I would recommend the Linguine Verde/Verdi (it’s the pasta with cream, pesto, courgettes, peas etc.). Our server left us with the parmesan cheese on the table which was much appreciated and unorthodox of an Italian restaurant. He also allowed us to take what I couldn’t finish, including the remainder of our wine! Garlic bread was very garlicy- just how we like it. 100% will be returning to this place.

Visited this beautiful restaurant tonight and the service was just amazing! The food was even better, we will definitely be visiting again. Perfect prices. The manager was lovely and was very accommodating.

Every once in a while i have a yearning for a burger and Uncle Sam's is my usual destination. This time after a friends recommendation i visited this restaurant just up the road from Uncle Sam's. A new addition to their menu an Italian Burger was quite simply the best burger i have had. Moist, tasty, well cooked etc etc. Going back soon.

Fantastic restaurant on Eccy Road that would seem like it would be loud and busy but in fact it was super quiet. Went as a family. Bare in mind we went Sunday evening so it was quiet but you can expect it to popular on Friday and Saturday's.

Another fantastic meal at the Italian Kitchen. Two of the family ordered off the specials, the linguine and said it was amazing. Great food/drinks and lovely staff. Dan looked after us incredibly well. Highly recommended and can’t wait to return for my birthday.

My husband booked a table for us and our children for Mother's Day. We were served by Jasmine who was attentive, prompt and friendly. The food was so good and I had a lovely Mother's Day Treat. The gift was a really lovely touch too so I'll enjoy those later once the wine has worn off a bit!

Amazing everytime, went today for mothers day, the food was incredible (as always) with lovely staff and service. Our go to place for every special occasion or otherwise.

Faultless evening. Fantastic service, lovely atmosphere and most importantly beautiful food (compliments to Simon the chef) we had calamari/king prawns as starters, fillet steak mains and plum tart/amaretto cheesecake desserts all were exceptional. Came with my granddaughter for some lunch - food was absolutely lovely, I had a chicken dish and my granddaughter bruschetta then the fillet steak. Everything was cooked to perfection, the staff are lovely and owner Victoria was very welcoming and helpful when decided what to eat and drink! Will be back again soon. New favourite Italian restaurant!

One can imagine being at the home of an Italian chef being treated to a special family meal. The food tastes hearty and delicious. For Sheffield, this Italian kitchen is a must try. This is a second go for me and I am eager to return again. Order at least two of the starters. The pastas are fresh but the real treat is the calzone.

Been going for nearly 25 years now and the restaurant is as good as ever. 6 of us went and we all had different food. All the food came out together and was all cooked brilliantly. Not one complaint. The portion sizes are large. No need for a starter.

The best Italian in Sheffield! We absolutely love this place. Strong drinks, generous portions and everything is absolutely delicious. Recommend Linguine Special and Rigatoni Manzo - yum! At busier periods you're offered free nibbles on arrival and even night caps. Can't recommend enough!

Really nice restaurant with happy talkative workers, the calzone was by far the best I've ever tasted, not atall greasy very generously filled with a hearty amount of selected toppings with flavour that filled the mouth with each bite. Will 100% be coming back here and talking about the food to my mates next time they ask about good places to eat. I've left feeling absolutely stuffed and nearly beat all for £16 , thank you for your service today!

There is nothing common with italian cuisine. It's actually British cuisine who try to pretend to be Italian. The pasta is bland and tasteless. Only one type of bruschettas - super simple and poor. Even pasta with seafood is tasteless. And this is despite those fact that it's very hard to spoil prawns - hard to imaging what need to do to make them tasteless. The service was fine, waiters are nice and friendly. So if to summarize - restaurant is fine if to treat it not as restaurant but as some super average place for business lunch or to have a dinner when no time to cook at home. But if you are going to spend your Friday evening in a nice restaurant you will be dissapointed. P.S. Super funny thing was serving: they give you souces in a 3L empty metal can from tomato paste they used at kitchen before. Feel yourself not in a restaurant but at some super cheap street takeaway.

Wir waren für zwei Nächte in Sheffield und waren am ersten Abend im „The Italian Kitchen“ essen. Hier hat uns so gut gefallen, dass wir am zweiten Abend direkt nochmal gekommen sind. Das kleine Restaurant ist ein echter Geheimtipp und bietet nicht nur ein sehr schönes Ambiente, sondern auch wirklich gutes Essen. Die Calzone, die Pizza aber auch die Ravioli waren sehr lecker. Auch das Personal empfängt einen sehr herzlich und freundlich. Wir haben uns bei unserer Kellnerin Jazmine und ihren Kolleginnen sehr wohl gefühlt und kommen bei unserem nächsten Besuch in Sheffield gerne wieder.

Really nice food! Calzone has soft edges and very generous in stuffings. Large portions :) One slot is 2 hours, and the actual menu had higher price than the menu on the website. The card machine was not working properly, so we had to choose bank transfer of cash.

Only came here as we were staying one night locally BUT what a great experience. Lovely staff and great menu. Best calazone I'd had in years and a good beer choice. I loved it, family loved it. Might never come this way again but will definitely remember the meal.

The stuffed mushroom starter special was superb, a generous portion and so tasty. I had gnocci with chicken to follow, which was also amazing. The service was good, as was the wine list. Overall, all 3 of us had a really enjoyable meal, although we couldn't quite finish as they were large portions!

Went here for a birthday meal, the do a good gluten free menu and I had no issues after my meal, the food was amazing and the staff were lovely and very friendly.

i walked in to very friendly staff who helped me order and to a seat, the whole process was good and very checked up on me and gave me water when i was waiting for my food. the custom calzone is very tasty and the best i’ve ever had.

It disappoints me to give this restaurant a bad rating, because the food was good and it is a family run restaurant. But the customer service we received was really rude and unacceptable. One of the serving staff made us feel like we were not welcome in there and we would have left if we weren't so hungry. Don't go if you are causally dressed and younger customers.

Had the best lunch we’ve had in a while. Came with my parents & enjoyed amazing service and the most delicious food. The prawns were huge & portions were a great size. The chocolate mousse was the best I have ever had thanks to chef Simon. The waitress was also very friendly and chatty. Will definitely be going back soon.

The salmon tagliatelle was really good but the burette caprese mediocre at best. We had a lovely server - sorry I didn't catch your name but she was fab and offered great advice on what to choose etc. There was another lady serving who was quite rude and unfriendly which brought my score down. Everything came slowly and it was quite chilly which also brought my score down. The non-alcoholic cocktail on the specials board was good!

Warm welcome and clean restaurant. We don't go out much locally but myself and the family will definitely be back here. They have a great menu which everyone was struggling to decide what to have as there are so many good options! As well as the normal menu they have a kids menu and also a vegan menu! They even offer take away on all their menu items. Amazing food and Holly was an amazing server! We will be back!

Dropped in on a rainy Monday lunchtime in November, rigatoni manzoni and rigatoni calabrese with a couple of Italian beers hit the spot nicely... portions large enough we didn't really need the garlic bread side, but that was welcome too. 😉

Beautiful Italian food. The prawn and squid linguine had huge prawns, perfectly cooked and there was a very generous amount. Salmon risotto was very rich and flavourful. We had a lovely experience and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend

Had a fabulous experience last Saturday at the Italian Kitchen. We were a large group, but none of us had to wait for any of our courses. Food is absolutely superb and competitively priced. Portion sizes are generous and saw off a couple of our guests. Great staff who were so polite and attentive. Definitely worth a visit

Worst customer service I’ve experienced in my life, disgusting

I have been here to eat two times now, and whilst the food is great, the customer service is disgusting. Both times I have been the older woman at the front of house staff has been extremely rude to me and all the people I have been with. I have come to realise that perhaps she did not like the fact that we were younger people rather than older and maybe did not fit the aesthetic she wanted for her restaurant. We went a third and final time, and this time she was so utterly rude to us the second we stepped in that we had to leave. Very disappointed in this customer service. Do better

Had such a good meal at Italian kitchen with my mates for lunch! Lovely friendly service. Had tagliatelle Verdi was delicious would highly recommended!

Food was pretty good but service was very slow and disapointing. Two of us wanted to order a Calzone but was told that it would be half an hour to cook. As we had the kids with us and needed to get home for bed time we ordered something else. This then took over forty mins to come. Asked for the bill and this then took another ten mins and came when we all got up to go.

Excellent food, best Italian in Sheffield

I love that they have a vegan menu and the pasta dish I had was pleasant enough, but nothing special. The entire vegan menu revolves around a simple combination of the same few ingredients (tomato, olives, onion, artichoke, mushrooms). It felt safe and simple, but certainly not exciting or as if the chef were interested in exploring where they could go with vegan Italian food.

As usual, staff were very friendly and welcoming. I had an excellent ravioli and my wife had a gluten-free tagliatelle. We really enjoyed the food and atmosphere. Highly recommend.

I would like to say the staff were rude the food mediocre and the ambience poor ...but I cannot because the food was the best I have tasted outside of Italy the staff were attentive and Simon and the rest of the team are at the top of their game I will be returning very soon just to see if I can catch them on a bad night but that's just an excuse to eat here again
