Food was great, wasn't to long to wait for food.

They catered for 28 of us on a Friday evening and everything was absolutely spot on. The food was delicious, brought out quickly and the service was lovely. They were extremely patient with us and helped us celebrate the night before our wedding with our loved ones. Highly recommend.

We celebrated my daughter’s 40th birthday at Cerrones and what a great night we had. A family celebration with all ages welcomed and catered for. Great food, great service and great atmosphere. Thank you we will definitely be back.

Had a lovely evening meal with friends. My steak was cooked perfectly. We all had different main dishes and all said how delicious they were . Will definitely be back and feel lucky that this is local to us but definitely worth a trip if it’s not .

Cerrones was a delight from Start to finish. A group of enthusiastic music lovers met there to eat and listen to live music. We weren't disappointed. The food was excellent. Beautifully home cooked food. No one had to wait to be served. All orders came out together. The two youngsters who delivered food to our table were so polite. The bar staff were exceptional, even helping to take drinks to our table. Edwina Hayes was fantastic. She always is. A successful evening.. I highly recommend you visit Cerrones

Andrew and his team made us feel welcome straight away, with fantastic friendly service. The main course (Chicken in Diane sauce) was delicious, served hot but the dessert of chocolate brownie was the star, absolutely scrumptious!

I am a music promoter and having visited this restaurant for a meal recently asked if I could use it for an intimate music concert with food. The owners really welcomed the idea and worked with me to arrange and deliver a wonderful 2 course meal that was utterly delicious, all 34 main meals coming out at the same time and piping hot. This was followed by a choice of 2 desserts, cheesecake or chocolate brownie and both got a thumbs up from my friends. The service was absolutely spot on. Lovely people, attentive and very professional. We then had live music when the staff adjusted the lighting for us to make it more intimate. They left us to listen to the singer but were on hand to serve drinks when needed. A perfect evening in EVERY way. Thank you so much to everyone involved.

What a lovely little restaurant with amazing food! We had an amazing evening arranged by Lynne's Live Lounge with entertainment from the very talented Edwina Hayes. The food was beautifully cooked and served by their friendly and efficient team. Our first visit, but we will be back!

Been to Cerrones tonight since the new owners have taken over and it was just the change it needed, food has always been lovely and it was just as nice if not better but the service was fantastic, welcoming and clean….would defo recommend and come again

It was a year or so since we last went, and it was a definite improvement on our previous visits. The restaurant has been totally refurbished to a high standard, it was warm and the staff welcoming. The quality of the meal and the menu choices were good. Overall, a great little restaurant which deserves more custom.

Fantastic food, generous portions. Unusual opening times

We had an early table and was greeted well. There was a lot to choose from off the menu (too much) and the whole table chose a different starter and main. Everyone enjoyed their choice which included homemade meatballs, mussels, garlic mushrooms and baked prawn and avocado. The mains didn’t take much time at all and all freshly prepared. The 12inch pizzas were far too big for the tummies of the boys who ordered them so these were offered to be placed in a take out box. This meant that these were enjoyed again later. The martini salmon, chicken and sea bass were delicious and portions were generous. I would highly recommend this restaurant for a Saturday night meal out.

My wife, daughter and friend have dined at Cerrones on quite a few occasions and so tonight, they were looking forward to a pleasant evening but unfortunately, they felt badly let down. Apparently, the food was good but the service most definitely was not. The staff at this restaurant need to appreciate that when customers are prepared to pay good money for an evening out, they expect to be served correctly, with respect and not be pressurised into leaving early. My wife assures me that she will not be visiting Cerrones anymore and will have no hesitation in telling her friends the reason why.

The food here is absolutely fabulous - it was difficult to choose something from the extensive menu, but no-one was disappointed with the dishes that arrived. The restaurant wasn't busy on a Saturday night which was a shame as the quality of the food should mean a greater number of diners.

Visited mid week, a group of 12. Food was clearly freshly prepared and cooked on arrival. Amazing.!! As good as any restaurant I’ve visited in Sheffield and other big cities. Compliments to the Chef and the two ladies serving - o thing was too much trouble. Thank you, we will be back.

An absolutely beautiful restaurant with beautiful food. I would truly recommend a visit to this little hidden gem in Ecclesfield. You won’t be disappointed.

Overall the food was excellent and good value. However I do have to agree with other reviews about being rushed. Never got asked if we wanted extra drinks or any desserts. The door was definitely being locked as we were ushered out when our taxi arrived. Great food but poor customer service/care.

We booked in advance for a party of 11 for a family birthday, left a deposit and pre-ordered from the tapas menu. We arrived just before 7.30pm as booked, 2 of our group were 5 minutes late as they had not been before and had got lost. Before we had a chance to sit down we were asked for our drinks orders so didn't really have much time to peruse the wine list, were told no chardonnay but then a bottle was found, no lager or beer on draught and a small number of large bottles, peroni etc, these soon ran out so had to order 2 small bottles instead of 1 large. The food was served almost immediately and very quickly, we were under the impression that you take your time serving and eating tapas! Food was average at best. The waitress was hovering constantly and taking empty plates and bowls before we had finished eating, it was all very rushed. Mains done, dessert time! We had asked when we left the deposit if we could take a birthday cake, were told yes but we couldn't eat it on the premises as they offered a dessert menu. Only 2 desserts available, one of our group ordered the creme brûlée with Baileys but when it came it was a different flavour. Then asked for a coffee but the machine was broken and no alternative was offered. At 8.40pm the waitress had her coat on ready to go! Our taxi was booked to pick us up at 10pm so we ended up rushing our drinks, and going to the pub next door to wait for our pick up! Very disappointed, very rushed, will not return.

Celebrated sons 18th birthday with all the family (17 people in total) Delicious food and all meals delivered and brought out at the same time. Piping hot food ( 2 course meal) Nothing was too much trouble for all the team and all the family enjoyed it. Lovely atmosphere and friendly staff. Our favourite Italian restaurant for the last 3 years and couldn’t think of a better place to celebrate for a family meal. 😊

Delightful! We pre booked as there were 6 of us. Decor was comfortable, with a relaxed atmosphere. Menu was a tapas style, 3 dishes for £15.95. Absolutely delicious. We didn’t feel rushed at all. Will definitely be back!

We privately hired Cerrones for a family get together on Sep 22. We dealt directly with the owners, Karen & John, who were so friendly and helpful throughout, from the organising of menus right the way through. I can’t believe how Karen and her waitresses managed to make the whole evening go so smoothly with 37 hungry people to feed. The chef (John ) did us proud! The food was delicious and beautifully presented 👌🏻 We will definitely be back!

Visited Friday night 17th June to try the tapas. My friend is vegetarian but there was plenty of choice for her which is not always the case in a lot of restaurants. Greeted warmly and couldn’t fault the service at all. The food was amazing. I had the mussels, prawns and a potato, chicken and bacon dish. Ordered a garlic pizza bread too which was lovely. We will definitely be back.

Amazing food and great service! We were served by two lovely waitresses, my husband is a really picky eater and they were very accommodating. I ordered steak which was cooked to perfection, would definitely recommend.

What can I say the food was amazing. Restaurant was busy and the waitress was smiley and having a laugh with the customers, very friendly with us. We were a group of friends out for a meal before heading for some drinks. Would highly recommend this restaurant and I’d personally ignore any negative reviews , if people have an issue they should speak to them personally or if not comfortable doing that to message or email them after , as sometimes people have a bad day or are going through things. Me and my partner choose to give the restaurant a try for a rare child free date night. We were greeted by 2 waitresses who where helpful and polite. We followed their recommendations and I had tomato and garlic bread to start and my partner had prawns, both were superb. But it was the Steak which was next level, both me and my partner loved it and would definitely recommend. If you have the room I finished with the brownie which again was lovely.

Mediocre food, shocking customer service. Clearly from the responses to other reviews can't take any criticism either, would rather kick-off than take it on board and improve, sort of highlights the lack of customer service.

Was quite let down with the front of house service today. Me and my family have been coming here for multiple years, which is a real disappointment. My mum rang up earlier today to request a pickup order, to which the woman who answered the phone told hurriedly us she would call us back within five minutes because she was the only person waiting the food. 20-30 minutes later there was still no call and we were very hungry, this prompted my boyfriend to call again and place the order. We managed to get the order through, except I was told there was ‘no penne pasta’, followed shortly by ‘no pasta at all’. I then had to quickly decide on another dish from the menu, which had all pasta dishes on. We were also told that we ‘had to have the exact money in cash’. When we went to pick the food up we were greeted quite sternly by the front of house and she told us to take a seat and the food will be with us in 3-4 minutes. The restaurant was sparse, with a family of three dining in. Quite the opposite to what we were told on the phone when she was rushed off her feet and couldn’t take our order. To my surprise also, a woman was sat eating a pasta dish which was confusing as I was told they had ran out of multiple ingredients including pasta. Our food was given to us 30 minutes later. The food was great despise that. Still very unhappy. Will not be coming again or recommending!

I used this restaurant during lockdown and while the food was great, I remember getting quite an off-hand lady who I later found out was the owner taking my order. When I went with my bf to the restaurant last weekend, it unfortunately turned out to be the same lady that served us. We had the tapas menu... which was okay, but not amazing. We were rushed to make an order and as we'd been chatting we asked if we could have 5 more minutes. She replied... you can have two. She wasn't joking. The restaurant was dead, which was surprising with it being bank hol and that made it all the more uncomfortable. Safe to say, we didn't leave a tip.

THE most amazing food cooked by a chef who does enormous portions.. always too much to eat on the night but nice to bring it home! Been going to this restaurant for around 6 years. Spent many lovely evenings and Sundays celebrating family birthdays gettogethers. Visited Saturday 2 April 2022, no idea what has happened. The evening was vile. Firstly received text informing boiler broke wear something warm, okay cannot be helped. Then received text can we get there at 7.30 pm food would be ready REALLY!!!. Meal booked for 8.00pm. There used to be a great waitress Think her name was Janine, she was not there the lady in charge was rude verging on aggressive. This was a birthday do sadly ruined by her. The food was not good portions so small we bought chips on the way home. Really very sad lovely place now so rubbish. Please do not go expecting the great food and service it is dreadful never ever go again so sad.

Our first visit since we moved into the area recently but we will definitely become regulars.The tapas menu was a great opportunity to try several dishes , every one delicious.Service was excellent, wine and coffee good, all in all a lovely night.Looking forward to our next visit.

For my birthday this year (the first and hopefully only birthday in lockdown) we decided on getting a takeaway and I had been wanting to try food from a local restaurant, Cerrones, for some time. I love Italian food, so had been looking into local Italian restaurants to review and Cerrones came up based in Ecclesfield (very local indeed) and with a 4.5/5 rating on Trip Advisor! Lucky for me during lockdown the restaurant is still offering a collection only menu on a Friday & Saturday for customers to call, pre-order and book a collection slot. We called the Thursday evening for collection the following evening, with no issues at all. The current takeaway menu consists mainly of a variety of pasta dishes and pizzas with a few meat or fish dishes that come served with vegetables & potatoes as well. To accompany this there are also some garlic bread options. As it was a special occasion, we decided on the pasta rather than pizzas, but couldn’t resist the garlic bread with cheese and chilli as well! I ordered the Tagliatelle Salmoni – Salmon, tagliatelle pasta with tomato cream, white wine, courgettes & infused with dill and lime. This was delicious and really filling. I prefer tomato based pasta dishes and a lot of the time salmon courses are mainly cream based, but this was a perfect balance of both! The salmon was cooked well and there was loads of it. Ben ordered the Tagliatelle Cerrones – Tagliatelle with Bolognese, pepperoni, spinach, mushrooms, peppers and onions in a tomato and cream sauce, topped with mozzarella and baked – a bit of EVERYTHING! This was packed full of flavour and textures and all elements of the dish went well together. Extremely filling and delightful. Of course we couldn’t not have garlic bread to share too and we are so glad we did! Beautifully thin, crisp crust, very garlicky and lots of heat from the chillies – possibly the best garlic bread I’ve ever had and I could eat it again now writing about it haha. All of this wasn’t bad at £26 and was a really easy takeaway process without fault. I would eat here again, hopefully to dine in next time! Please give them a call if you’re looking for a local takeaway that’s a change from your usual greasy pizza joint – you won’t be disappointed!

Never sure when this place will be open or closed, some dishes lovely some are not a hit, mushroom starter tasted sour with the wine used in cooking, other times have been great, no consistency, I want to like the place being local to me...

We were really impressed by the food, the portions and the taste. A great choice on the menu, it was difficult deciding what to have. Great value for money. We will definitely re visit.

Food was spot on very nice will deffo go again but the drinks were ridiculous £3.30 for a can of Carling poured into a pint pot doesn't seem fair and £2.95for a pint of Pepsi out of a big 2 litre bottle very wrong
