The chips were soggy and cheese looked like plastic, my girl has still eaten the chips but woke up this morning with food poisoning, spewing up what I’d describe as indigested cheesy chips…. This is absolutely absurd to say I order from here all the time and the fact the food quality has resulted in this I wish to no longer see this takeaway open. Disgusting behaviour to say the least…

Very slow over 1 1/2 hour on 3 burgers and fries on delivery. This isn't the first time we had this. They are always short staff

Had I takeaway two weeks ago was an hour late and food was not hot. Complained and got a £20 voucher tried it again tonight and the delivery driver decided we shouldn't have been entitled to the voucher, the food tonight was average but customer service was a total waste of time.

Ordered a take away to be told it would be 30-40 minutes, then after an hour we call to be told it’s on its way! 20 mins later we call again to be told the same it arrived after an hour and a half no apology at all! And it was cold! Won’t be using them again!

Can't even master a half and half pizza! Literally put all the toppings on both Half's that was supposed to be separate! Also one half was supposed to be BBQ and the other tomato but all came tamato based. THANKS

Every time I ring for an order it's wrong. Last week I ordered a calzone, it came as a pizza. They keep missing things off. I ordered cheese burger and chips, only got the burger. Ordered chicken wrap with salad, garlic and chilli, only got the salad. Chips come with no spice even when they ask you if you want it, they can't be bothered to put it on. Tonight was the last straw, I'd rather drive into hull and make sure I get what I want. Absolutely shocking, a one off I'd understand but it's every week.

Got a family size kebab delivered to Pocklington from their shop in Market Weighton and the food was still piping hot and delicious. I used to get my kebabs from there when I lived there so thought I’d give them a try and pay the extra delivery charge and wasn’t disappointed. Thank you staff

Went to order and the server was the most miserable person I ve ever met in my life, on top the food tasted bland and greasy, rather go to La Emzee but they were closed

We have become regulars to IJ- quality of kebabs is good and well cooked too. Friendly staff. Prices reasonable.

Absolutely vile! Ordered here a few times. Used to be really nice then started going downhill. Today j tried the Mexican pasta as the kids are ill and I couldn't be bothered cooking. MY GOD. I wish I didn't. Absolutely disgusting. Stunk of sweaty feet and the pasta was mushy and all broken up. Ate it because I was starving and tired but Never again. Feel sick now.

Food used to be amazing here but recently just been off. Ordered our drinks Tango and a Coke original which was forgotten and then went to the shop and brought us back pepsi max cherry and fanta, food quality overall just feels lowered. maybe order in some time but as of writing this our last few experiences have not been worth it.

Ordered food at 19.30. It's now 21.20 and still hasn't arrived. If you're short staffed for delivery drivers then put orders on hold until you catch up. Phoned up twice. Order is ready, just waiting on drivers so definitely going to arrive cold. 1 Star from me. Sorry but won't be ordering from The Italian Job again. ***The food arrived at 21.30 , 2 hours after placing the order, it was stone cold so had to be warmed in the microwave. Chips are dry and chewy. Got to be the worst takeaway in Market Weighton

Decent chips but the pizza was undercooked and the tomato source was horrible, we left most of the pizza.

I ordered from here again tonight and the food gets better and better, so many flavours and very tasty. The delivery came within the time they told me, food was in a very good presentable way and staff taking my order over the phone was extremely polite. This is 100% my choice of takeaway from now on

We order from her regularly as we like the food. But delivery is shocking nearly always arrives after the time they say it would take. Ordered family kebab, pretty easy to put together 55 min est time 1hr20 it arrives. And half the time we have to ring as they’ve forgotten something. The correction usually arrives within 5 minutes! Suggests the order could be quicker

Pizza sauce tastes like some cheap pasta bolognaise sauce can honestly say, the worst Pizza I've had in my life.

Margherita pizza with turmeric and cumin base, awful combo and should not be added to a pizza. Also was not advertised on website and would have not chosen this if this was explained.

dont accept card, the menus displayed aren't on offer. the staff ignore you. the food was disgusting. would not recommend at all.

We have used The Italian Job a few times now, and generally was good. But our last experience was awful. The food took over 1 hour 30 mins to arrive when they said it would be within the hour. The food was cold when it arrived, and had to get warmed up in the microwave. We telephoned to advise them of this and were told a credit would be placed on our account and that the manager would call us. Over 24 hours later neither of those things have happened. We were polite when we called and to be fair the lad on the phone was apologetic. Overall though not the food and service we paid for. Will go elsewhere in future.

Pizza tasted good, ready when we arrived to pick it up but the cheese stuffed crust wasn't particularly nice. Cheese tasted plasticy and wasn't melted.

This is our regular place to go for a pizza and it's always decent. I like the fillet al pepe and my son loves the kids special.

Appalling. Food took 65 minutes to be delivered from 6 miles away and was universally cold. Pasta a tasteless congealed mess. Lamb tough. Chips like cardboard. Had it been hot or even warm would still have been very poor quality and definitely not worth the money. If there had been a minus button I would have ticked that.

Fixed my problem :) 5* / 5* I had a couple of problems with my order, and the owner (sam) was really helpful and allowed me to order again. I ordered the mixed kebab and im pleasantly surprised, the portion size was HUGE and everything tasted good. At 6'8 i eat like a horse and there isnt many meals i cant get through but i struggled with this there was so much but atleast you know you get what you pay for. Not that its a negative without but i think the kebab needs 2 pittas as its a bit too much meat for 1 and the kebab will most likely be shared it is that big. Pepperoni pizza ?, in all honesty i cant give a review because the kebab filled me up so much and my partner was not hungry. But it looks good and is in the fridge for re-heating tomorrow. Rang me back after 30 mins to say didn't have part of our order. When it finally came chicken was luke warm n far too spicy for a Dianne n lamb tough. Overall v disappointed.

Been twice now to this newly refurbished take away. The Staff were very welcoming on both occasions, and the service very prompt, and efficient. The Pitza we ordered was like a Wagon Wheel, Huge! The Kebab meat was also fresh and tasty. I was pleasantly surprised how busy it was, especially the delivery side of the business. Met the owner, who was very enthusiastic and hard working within the Pitza preparation. For a Fast, Tasty, Take away, would definitely reccomend.

It's almost like the place has changed hands again as a few months ago I gave it 5 stars now it's different staff and the food is back to 'generic takeaway dross' no halumi, bog standard salad no pickles etc. Very disappointed as I thought we had a refreshing change but alas it was not to be.

I'm a local and trust me don't Bother, Bad service no one talks English, really bad Communication. This is the second time I've tried this place, and nothing changes trust me. So much a shame because someone as spend a lot of money doing this place up. And the service is a joke trust me. The order tonight was one and half hour and when the food did arrive it was so cold, not paying £16 pounds for two main meals when cold I'm sorry. It just seems expected that you should pay. I'm sorry but NO trust me. . Turn the meals down and sent back . NEVER AGAIN.... feel so sorry for the person that as invested a lot of money in this place. When you have staff like that you are on a one way slope and that would be down.

Pizza Margherita was blunt - the pizza base was very starchy, did not feel cooked enough though colour wise seemed ok. The balance of ingredients and the cooking did not work for us.

I’m afraid since the new owners have taken over this place has gone downhill fast! The very friendly staff have been replaced by people who don’t properly acknowledge you, don’t smile and are on the brink of rudeness. Been twice in the last couple of weeks and both times the orders were wrong.

The new owners need to spend time training the staff as our Pescatore pizza turned out to be Prosciutto which we noticed only at home. The person taking our order did not have any customer service skills and needs basic training to greet customers.

Just had a delivery from Italian Job from a driver smoking a cigarette in car and whilst carrying food to our door. Obviously threw cigarette end away before door was answered!

Since the new owners took over and revamped the menu and shop it’s been amazing! Definitely best in Weighton and my go to every time!

Had to heat up the food when it arrived as it was cold, driver didn’t even bother knocking on door, just rang when he pulled up outside, took over an hour to arrive on a small order for 2 when quoted half hour to 40 mins. didn’t give receipt when delivery was made either. The old owners were so much better, this new management is very poor, clearly don’t know how to run a takeaway. Don’t see them being there for long

It's a shame ''The Italian Job' is under new management. The front of the shop looks like it's now an Indian takeaway! The ones close to me are awful, so this is the closest to me - (10 miles out). It was so worth it though - it was amazing! Now, it's average; just like any other place. The 🍕 is too salty And the cheese is stodgy and smelly - (I think they use the same cheese as Lara Bella's, Brough). It wasn't ghastly, Just disappointing. I doubt I will be going out to there again...

We love this place order at least once a week . All I can say food is great . Warm , well presented and most importantly delicious :) . Delivery drivers are always really friendly best take away in this area . Knocks spots off dominoes on price and quality . Keep it up guys

A couple months ago I ordered a steak from here, intrigued as to why a takeaway was selling steaks, it was just as bad as you could imagine. I left, I hated it and I didn't complain about it (it wasn't too big a deal for me) My friends go in over the coming months and the lad behind the till would make such snide remarks like "is the stake guy not coming in?" this happens a couple of times. Today I go in looking to buy a pizza and I'm met by "no stakes tonight" after that I'm not looking to buy anything from them. I talked to my friend about the stake comment and they(the staff) reply with "is he still going on about that" it's the first thing I've said about it since I bought it and it wasn't even to them. I proceeded to tell him how garbage the stake was (and why it was, this wasn't baseless complaining) and ask why they even sold it. I was met by nonsensical replies and told to never come back again. Tldr I like most the food don't order steak unless you want to be ridiculed forever.

Two issues in a week. Tried to order lasagne. Website couldn’t process unless I stipulated whether I want tagliatelle, spaghetti or penne. Tonight’s chicken order din. It arrive with the chips which were an option in the website. The manager told me it was a computer gliche, he knew my husband and he didn’t care.. Neither would he bring any fries because he “didn’t care”. I asked as a manager why he did not contact the web designers to change it . He said he had and they didn’t care. Surely then you’d add a note to the delivery confirmation. He really didn’t care.

Had a chicken donner and penne pasta here after a long way walking the Yorkshire Wolds Way. Lots of options to choose from. Our server was very friendly, food was absolutely what we needed after a day of walking! Good portion size, very tasty.
