Ciao in East Riding of Yorkshire

Really don’t understand any negative review on this shop. I have just visited Ciao, and I think it is probably the best food i have ever ate from a take out. At this point I’m looking for something bad but it is all 10/10. Pizza is unreal, well topped, not over done. No grease as you would find in any other take out. Thin and crisp crust with a hint of a sweet tomato sauce. The chips are crisp and generously spiced with it the nicest chip spice I have tasted. With a drink for around £11? I could share this with someone else that’s great value for money. The young lad on the till is a credit to your business also very polite. I usually come to ciao every couple of months because I like to try new places, but I think I need to stop and stick with the best.

i've just ordered cheesy chips and the boy called jack did my order. the box was literally empty i could see the bottom of it there was barely any cheese and i'm still hungry. when martine did my cheesy chips they were full. i'm 15 and have no money and i'm hungry

The gourmet chicken burger was delicious ....although I'd ordered the pulled pork burger but by the time I got back to work we hadn't time to go back ! Chips were spot on too !

Terrible......2 hrs then it was cold....never again they are a total joke.....here have some chips, what a joke

Closes early. Wanted to walk in and order and they were shut at 9.45 al dark and closed....says they shut at 10.....mgutted

Always come here recent orders have been poor, ordered stuffed crust pizza came without it, cheeky chips were cold, and my gourmet burger was awful

We did ordered many times from this takeaway and it was ok most of times. But this time food was very salty, chips was hard. Not best food. I don't think we will be ordering again. Really disappointed.

They do serve good food, however when the food was delivered, the food was very lukewarm and chips limp. We had to reheat all the food in the oven. I would have expected hot food to be delivered.

Absolutely disgusting service delivery guy totaly rude demanding an extra £10 from us when we only ever order online and it asks if u have a loyalty card always ask for no chip spice lol obviously trouble reading an order last time we will be ordering from here and wasnt that warm poor quality

This takeaway is more interested in dealing with delivery companies. I was left on the phone for over 15mins listening to the girl dealing with deliveries. The girl next day made up a story of problems with phone. An absolute joke.

Superb! We have had several takeaways from this gem and all have been delicious! Great pizzas, lovely steak and gorgeous burgers! So glad we’ve found it and it’s just round the corner, perfect!

I've had takeaway pizza from them several times and each time it has been delicious. I heartily recommend them and their pulled pork pizza.

Been using Ciao for years. Usually a great service and quality food. Tonight order however, ordered at 6.58 stated delivery 60mins. Called at 8.10 to ask for an update. Told it was the next one out. Still nothing. Called at 8.40. Told it was ready just awaiting a driver. It's now 9.30 a whole 2 hours and 30 minutes after we ordered and still nothing. Completely unacceptable. After many years of use. I will be unlikely to use again now. Contacted them for a refund. Told it will be delivered tomorrow.

Left on hold for forever.. Heard them answering other calls in the background.. I'll never know if the food is good or not cos ill never call them again..

Great pizza. Tried a selection of food and was all delicious - not the cheapest takeaway but worth it.

Glad to report that on this visit I received the full order without any omissions. Usually the staff cannot be guaranteed to give you your full order even when in the shop. Worse if using delivery service. BUT this time exactly what I ordered

Steak very undercooked twice despite my preference *medium to well* being stated on order two times. Second time told no refund and not to order again! Disgusted. And I won’t be ordering again!

I ordered regularly from this establishment and each time my order was messed up but hay ho I didn’t mind till it became a common issue that I kept getting standard garlic bread instead of tomato and pesto garlic bread. I called the place and registered my issue. They were happy to correct the order and send it out so all fine and good,yeah......or so I thought. A couple minutes passed and the phone rang. it was the takeaway calling me to inform me someone was on the way to give me the tomato and pesto garlic bread. Hmm okay.... but there was a catch I had to hand over the standard garlic bread back to the delivery driver for RE-SALE!!I could of done anything this to the garlic bread. So instinctively I rang the takeaway and told them to call the whole thing of and told them I was appalled with the way they practice food hygiene and I urge everyone to ensure you don’t get second hand food like someone nearly did this evening. Safe to say I won’t be ordering again......

Tasty food at pretty much half the price of the chain takeaways and really handy that you can order via their website 😁

They're not joking when they say "restaurant quality food". The lasagne, fillet Diane, tomato garlic bread, cheese garlic bread, Pizzas and chicken dishes have all been sampled by us and its all bloomin delicious! Way better than any takeaway ever

Have used Ciao for a while now but last nights order was terrible. First order was cold when it arrived. Ciao offered to send a replacement which we accepted however on arrival the garlic bread was swimming in oil from the pesto. Needless to say we won’t be going back in a hurry. Really disappointed ☹️.

I ordered the pizza Etna and the brownie to be delivered. I ordered just before 1800. The food arrived hot and as ordered at 1835. While my preferred crust is thin, Neopolitan style, over all the pizza was very good. Topping, sauce, cheese all very good. The brownie was warm but tasted a little burnt.

Ordered a takeaway and it had not registered on the system properly.. they managed to find the order and offered a discount for the trouble... the gent then came to my car whilst during a busy period (on a Friday evening) and brought the food to me. It could have been handled a lot differently but due to their willingness to help rectify the issue - perfect service! Well done - highly recommend.

Always pleasant and helpful staff. The place is clean. Very varied menu. Pizzas have an authentic Italian base with plenty of fresh topping. Fries and onion rings went down well. We will continue going here unless something changes. More than happy. They have a good loyalty scheme as well Recommended!

Lovely pizzas. My favourite being the pepperoni passion. My mates like the burgers, and we all love the steak. I've been eating here for years and i would say its great 98% of the time and we get a 20% discount ordering online. Can't be bad!

Ciao has always been great...exceptional pizzas. The last two times I have visited I have been disappointed though. The kitchen seems in turmoil......the staff have appeared clueless.....there are loads of them and most seemed to be stood around disinterested. This last time a Kiev pizza was less than average, the topping was very mean and it was just a sloppy mess really. This is not usual and I am not abandoning Ciao yet, but one more bad do and you won't see me again. This place is good generally, don't lose that reputation......get the staff and the quality of the pizzas back up there.

fries not the best! Authentic Italian pizza takeaway. Service pleasant, the place is clean, and the menu is very varied - pizzas,pastas, and antipasti, as well as various Italian dishes and burgers in cibatta style buns. We had the Kiev pizza - chicken,ham, garlic,cheese,and mushrooms. Very nice! Authentic Italian pizza bread base and cooked just right. Not keen on the fries though, they don't have that classic takeaway smell and their chip spice is far too salty. Still prefer Gino's in Anlaby- sorry Ciao...

First things first. This take away isn’t the cheapest but as the saying goes, you get what you pay for. That is certainly the case for Ciao. They have a wide range of Italian dishes to serve all tastes. The chicken dishes are to die for and the pizzas are of far superior quality to any take away I have ever visited. Order online and get 30% off your order too which is a huge bonus. You can spend over £15 and get a stamp. Collect six of these and get £10 off your order. I can’t recommend this take away enough. Once you’ve sampled food from here, you won’t go anywhere else for fine Italian cuisine.

I ordered the bolognese pizza with chips for delivery and it came to my house very quickly. The pizza was excellent and I will definitely be ordering from here again.

The food is always lovely only downfall is the delivery driver expecting a tip has to go back to his car to get your change would give a tip but wont give one when they expect one

Pizzas are amazing and pasta dishes really nice. Well worth a try if you like a quality Italian takeaway. Not the cheapest of takeaways. Sometimes can be a long wait for orders but this seems to be improving. Offer an nhs discount and midweek offers

My son has been going here for a while and always told us to try it. I finally decided after wanting a change from the usual take out to give Ciao a try. What a pleasant surprise, I got the the Fillet Pepe and it was first class - I would have been please with the quality from a restaurant so from a takeaway it was in a class of its own. The staff and premises are both well presented and professional. I look forward to my next visit

Amazing food and price, love this place.

No food, ordered at 18.47pm, order accepted and still waiting for food to arrive and we live within 5 mile radius. I wrote this review one week ago, I suppose I expected the manager to contact us and apologise for what was a very poor service. In brief, we was eventually delivered our food 2 hours late only because we telephoned 3 times and asked where our order was and on each occasion we were told 3 different stories. Since then, we have received no follow up on the poor customer service we received that evening and I think this reflects the level of interest shown in delivering customer service. If someone from had contacted us at any point in the 2 hours wait for the order and told us it was not achievable then would have accepted this and on this occasion ordered elsewhere and probably tried again with Ciao takeaway.

Our favourite pizza place, It never fails to please. Great menu, plenty of choice, always made to order while you wait. Pizza base is delicious, light and crispy. We always opt for the pizza pollo.

Won't get anything from there again , gone down hill and expensive, rubbish.

Very little sauce and chicken in the chicken with white sauce, 5 bits of chicken, not even a full breast if you was to cit it up, and mo sauce made the whole meal real dry. Will not be going again.

Sorry to say this Ciao but having just received our order the pizza as usual was great but having fancied something different I ordered a burger , well I had half n the rest went in the bin I very rarely review but this was the worst burger I have ever had it came in a pizza base type bread n the burger itself was just not nice tasting at all 🖓

Worst pizza ever. Very oily and fell to bits as base too squashy. Expensive too. Waste of money.

Ordered nearly £45 worth of food. BBQ supposed to come with sauces....... none received - no explanation given. Obviously not noticed till meal in the house and delivery man gone. Delivery driver stated that he hadn't been given the bottle of coke to bring. So would bring it later. 2 hours later still no coke. Not a big thing but enough to put me off ordering food to be delivered again. Who knows what you will or won't receive. Too expensive for a cheap service like this

Really good food, pizza is not greasy at all, steak is amazing and sauteed potatoes were lovely. Overall a great meal, will definitely be going again!

We order from Ciao every weekend, so tonight we thought we'd stick to what we know. Ordered 2 pizzas and were told our order would be 45-60mins. 1hr and 15mins later, we rang to see where our order was, only to be told, it would be with us shortly. The girl on the phone was very impolite and unprofessional to the point we asked to speak to the manager. After asking numerous times to speak to the manager, she put the phone down on us!!!!! We rang back in disgusted, only to be told there was nothing they could do about it and where incredibly unhelpful. We are massively disappointed and shocked at the way the staff have acted and the rubbish they have spouted to us! We will NEVER be coming to Ciao again!!!!

A***holes cancelled my order! £30 worth of food at 6pm on a Saturday night and they couldn't be bothered? Plenty of other takeaways and we get at least three a week. Your loss.

Food excellent food arrived ontime. I ordered a bottle of coke. They forgot send it. Rang them they would not answer the phone. I rang at 10pm. It's says they are open until 10;30pm. No coke for my bacardi. I paid for it not received it.

1st time from takeaway although have eaten in chants restaurant food was just as good ... delivered on time by polite n friendly driver definitely recommend it and will order again
