The Ironbridge Ice Cream in Telford and Wrekin

Over priced ice-cream. It's a tourist trap so why shouldn't they overcharge for everything? It's expected.... isn't it??

There's a notice in the window saying to ring the bell for ice cream. When you do someone turns up (just before you'd given up), opens the door and goes inside to the window to serve you. The ice cream was OK although quite runny for a cold day. Watch out for the sales pitch! Did I want a double instead of a single, did I want a waffle cone, did I want a flake? I could have easily paid twice the amount I'd intended to do.

First of all I was given the wrong scoops of ice cream, then as I was eating, I discovered a piece of sharp plastic in the ice-cream. It ended up in the bin! Complete waste of money. Avoid!

Amazing ice cream, served by a charming lady. Nice snacks too. Prices very good. I will be back for more.

We were disappointed with the extremely small helping of ice cream, although it was very nice. With reference to other reviews on this site, there was no indication of the cost of the waffle cone, as we were asked “Do you want a waffle”. It was only when we got presented with the price of £7.50 we queried it. THE PRICE OF THE WAFFLES SHOULD BE CLEARLY SHOWN AS IT IS MIS-LEADING .First impressions of the price list show £3.10per ice cream & chocolate flake, We bought two which we thought would total £6.20.

Lovely location. …….. but. I think their ice cream scoops are actually melon ballers. Very small serving. They push the waffle cones but don’t mention the extra price which also wasn’t readily visible on outside price board either. Extortionate prices for what you get.

Staff very pleasant, was asked if we wanted traditional or waffle cone, but it wasn't mentioned that the waffle was more. I had traditional and one scope of eaton mess Ice cream for £2.50. It was creamy with chopped strawberries tasted good

We had ice cream from this location during our visit to Ironbridge in August 2021. There was a good selection of ice cream, but relatively expensive for what it was and the scoop size was pretty small to say the least. Additionally, they upsell waffle cones without saying they are extra, expecting you to notice the price list, there isn’t even a clear sign stating ‘waffle cone extra 65p’ which would be a much farer way of trading. Generally ok overall, but appears to be cashing in on the tourist trade.

The location of the shop is pretty much perfect for Ironbridge and when I saw it I just fancied an ice cream. The queue was long, which I usually consider to be a good indicator, and I took the time to look up the reviews. By the time it came to my turn to order I was really expecting something special. Instead I got a small cone of what can only be described as generic ice cream. There really was nothing special about this other than the price. And on that note I foolishly didn't pay enough attention when ordering and so I found that I had been charged an additional 65p for what was a "waffle" cone. Still, lesson learned.

Brogan, a gorgeous and clever young lady served us today. I had a vanilla cone, and my husband had a bannana split cone. The best ice cream we have ever had and served by a young happy smiling young Brogan. Definitely go back for another and queue !! If we needed to

Ice cream taste is nice but for 2.50 each they were the smallest ‘ scoops’ we’ve ever had anywhere - Actually not even a full scoop in a tub for a total 5.00 Won’t be going back.

A great little shop right in the heart of Ironbridge. The Ironbridge Icecream Co. offers a great range of flavours. Well worth a visit when down in Ironbridge.

The ice cream is to die for. Great service, great flavours and beautiful atmosphere. Could not recommend more highly.

Spoilt for choice, very friendly staff, quick efficient service, felt safe and hygienic with social distancing in place. Would thoroughly recommend.

We spent a lovely afternoon dog walking and socially distancing and catching up with family, took a walk along the wharf age and stopped here for an ice cream.. my personal favourite.. Eton mess waffle cone with flake, so many flavours to choose from! Definitely will be a regular stop in on my doggy walks .. lovely helpful staff, hygiene and Covid sneeze screens put you totally at ease in these worrying times.. 😍
