My partner loves the Joker. Surprised him for his birthday with reservations at the monarch theatre. Didn’t tell him anything about what it was. When we walked down the stairs there’s an art piece of the joker. He was so confused on what this place was, but when they gave him a joker card for his coat check he was entirely too excited 😂 like a kid at Christmas. All the DC references in the building that were subtle enough to not be tacky but clear enough that he knew what it was and could be excited about it. Food was amazing. Show was amazing. Staff was amazing. Details were on point. I’ve lived in London 6 months and this was the best activity I have experienced. Highly recommend.

What a great venue! It's been a long time since I've awarded a London events venue 5 star in all 3 categories, but... The Iceberg Lounge was worthy of such an accolade. The small but homely entrance at ground level in Brewer Street betrays what lies beneath, in a Hogwarts style descent 2 floors below street level. You even enter through a disguised opening bookcase 😂- you almost expect the descent to be instant by means of a perilous slide, but in fact the lifts and staircase open to reveal a cavernous space decked out with grand Art Deco opulence. Fabulous bars, live music area, comfortable seating. You are transported back to the twenties and thirties, expecting girls in flapper dresses, all plunging necklines feather boas beads and sequins to be sitting elegantly sipping their Chicago Fizz entranced by the mysterious Gatsby in the distance, dressed immaculately in usual style. Ours was a terrifically well hosted private hire event for San Antonio Texas USA. Chefs brought over to showcase the unique cuisine, local artist spray painting their cityscape as a draw prize, and deliciously sour tequila cocktails. As the song goes "Oh what a night" but this wasn't " late December back in '63", this was London in '2024 transported back to Chicago in 1924, or should I say ....in homage to our hosts....the beautiful city of San Antonio ❤️

Simply amazing, the theatrical bit is great, specially if you are batman fan! The afternoon was really good a bit pricey but worth paying for the experience.

We went to the Monarch Theatre for my partners Birthday. This experience was absolutely incredible and so unique! Omar our host, was wonderful! Entertaining and funny (even if he did give me the jumpscare of my life haha!). The food was outstanding and incredibly creative, fun and clever in the way it linked to both the good and evil characters of DC. After such a wonderful time at the Monarch Theatre, it was a huge disappointment to leave this experience and attempt to spend the rest of our evening in the Park Row venue…I’ve been eyeing this venue out ever since it opened and watched every YouTube promo/advertising video and felt hugely mislead. It almost felt like false advertising. We had excitedly planned our whole day/evening around spending hours in the multiple rooms/bars that Park Row claims to offer during your experience. None of these rooms or bars were open apart from the Iceberg Lounge. The promo videos were so big on promoting live music every evening however, there was nothing going on. It was dead. Quiet and a bit depressing to say the least. We tried to stick around and take our time having a cocktail in the hopes it would pickup, however, we left at 8pm as it was all putting such a dampener on the night. There was no buzz, atmosphere, nothing. Even the staff seemed incredibly bored and unmotivated. To the point where it actually came across really rude. It seemed like they didn’t want to be there which was incredibly disappointing as all the advertising had promised an experience like no other - where they want everyone to feel like they’ve stepped in to another world and were truly part of Gotham / the DC world…They need retraining or a boost of some sort as it was all rather glum. Such a shame as the venue has SO much potential! This was all super upsetting as it really ruined our evening and this was a big surprise for my partner. We left earlier than anticipated and likely won’t return as it was nothing like the owners / creators / CEO intended or portrayed. I would recommend the Monarch Theatre experience 100%! But skip Park Row. I wouldn’t even bother popping in there for a cocktail in all fairness, as the vibe (if you can even call it that) was so flat (and this was on a Saturday night might I add). Cocktails are far more expensive than other venues in central London that offer a much nicer vibe with better service. Very sad to see as there’s so much potential as I say. A shame to leave the experience feeling so flat rather than elated as we’d hoped.

Very impressive, cavernous venue buried 2 floors below street level. Food was excellent, raw fish dishes were the absolute stand-outs. The theme of Gothan is very light - if you weren't told you probably wouldn't realise that was what they were aiming for. Can't recommend enough!

I dined at the monarch theatre. If you like fine dinning and immersive experiences, this is the place for you! The atmosphere and digital displays are really good and add to the experience. There is a lot of attention to detail to the food and the drinks pair very well with each course. Options available for non alcoholic, pescatarian, vegan and vegetarian. The staff are very attentive and give a lot of energy and effort to the experience and keep you entertained. Overall I would definitely recommend for a special occasion, it's a unique experience.

We had been to Park Row before in June 2023, so booked again for their “immersive experience” also detailed in their press release in Restaurant dated 10 November 2023, to celebrate our twin daughters’ 21st and our son’s 18th birthdays (which are very close together in December and January respectively) - so we booked for Saturday 27th January 2024 Sadly there was no live music- only background music, no theatrical type staff making the frozen popcorn, and the kiss from a rose dessert was not anything like the amazing one we had last June. We were also told it was not possible to make any variations on cocktails- ie a raspberry mojito, instead of a classic, (again this had been available at our last visit). When we ordered food there was no lobster gyoza.. The food we did have was very good, however, but we can go to many places in London for good Japanese food. We were told by staff as January was a quiet time, that’s why there was no music etc. In my opinion if you can’t operate to your usual standard in January, then you may aswell just close for the whole month! I wasn’t informed when I booked that all the things that made Park Row special, and provide the immersive experience they brag about were not available. I’d like to add that the staff were nice and tried their best, but we were so disappointed with the whole experience- and it IS supposed to be an experience according to their own PR! We had a reasonably good night- because of the nice guy that looked after our table, but we won’t go back! Definitely not worth the almost £900 bill

We booked for a group of 40 and we had the £95 set menu. It is very fish oriented but the other bits were a hit. I really enjoyed my night. A huge shoutout to Alexander & Matthew for helping my night run smoothly. Will definitely dine again.

I was so excited to find this Gotham inspired bar. Service was a bit slow that day and yes, it is on the more expensive side of things, but definitely worth it! All the small eastereggs hidden throughout the venue make the stay even more fun for fans of Batman and his Villains!

We had the pleasure of documenting an amazing private 60th birthday event! Was absolutely wonderful. Attentive and engaging staff, exquisite dishes, and lovely atmosphere. The attention to detail in the food and the lively flavours were reflective of that. The interior is also beautifully designed and definitely worth a visit. Some of the best cocktails around!

DO NOT TRUST THEM In the New Year’s Eve my table was given away and £400 deposit was taken and not refunded. Called several times and no response, neither received a call or email from their side to confirm my presence since I have paid for a deposit. The staff member in the reception was so rude, as I was explaining he turned the back and left in front of my family and other guests. EMBARRASSING

It is neither the classy, nor the intriguing restaurant experience that it attempts to market on its several marketing channels. While it may start off great with a nice hidden restaurant entrance through a book shelf, with a great spiral stairset & filmmusic... After building some suspense, it quickly turns a visitor's stomach and mood as does a movie without any pinnacle of suspense. It starts with the unenthusiastic, somewhat insecure service staff having been trained at below-average service standards for a location that attempts to portray a classy restaurant. Once all the issues with missing plates, cutlery, and menus had been sorted out, the actually least satisfying part of "the experience" begins: the unidentifiable food served on what appears to be plates from a kids' teatime set. Ordering a menu set of several courses, there is no proper presentation and information for the food. As we suspect, probably the kitchen does not know itself what they placed on the plate. The first course was shaped in the form of a weirdly round batarang and reminded of liver while tasting somewhat the same as a dog's food smell. It was served with two small slices of bread to smear it on. Next up was "The belly burger" which felt like an attempt to bombard said belly with damaging goods that passed the pan of a lunatic cooking team that - as I imagine - can only be wearing joker costumes to accompany the general impression of this restaurant being a joke. I could not finish the burger and stopped eating the courses of the menu all at once. My friend peeled off several unripe and unidentifiable ingredients from her burger. Upon request even the manager could not tell us what that extra fat patty was made of. Even the shabbiest McDonald's beats this performance. Whilst being understanding of the criticism and offering a reduced payment... the manager did not seem to be understanding of the errors and flaws that underly the restaurant's concept.

Missed NYE standing in an insanely unorganised queue outside. People running the event had no clue! Hundreds of people stuck outside in the cold, queueing for 2 plus hours. Was a big fight at 02:30 and they shut the whole place down. Not a well run NYE event to be polite about it
