Food was okay if you’re in a rush. But no space to eat in because it’s packed. Tried dining in before and you have to share with other people. Great after getting shit face from doing a pub crawl or gone out out. Don’t forget to try their chilli crispy condiment! The rice, noodles, orange chicken, sweet & sour, char siu, pork and chives, and noodles were nice!

Best Budget Find. Fresh, fast and affordable meal with good quality price ratio. This place is a wholesome Chinese food close to Leicester square station in central London. You can get a takeaway for £9 that comes with two dish on top of rice or home-made noodles. Quite a few options are there for the dishes and the portions are huge. Definitely recommend if you are in for a quick Chinese dinner.

We have a lunch at Christmas Day. They increased double prices which is £20.80 for noodles and tasty was very bad. They are cheating us! We never want go again and will let our friends to know how badly they are!

It's complicated and narrow. I went there after reading the reviews, but the restaurant atmosphere was not good and it was too expensive. A bowl of beef stew noodle costs 21.8 pounds ㅠㅜ For four people, 3 noodles, 1 Guobaroo, and a bottle of mineral water cost 91 pounds. The portion is quite a bit, but the cost-effectiveness is low.

Our family just had dinner there, it is the worst food I have ever had. I don’t understand how can they make the food so badly, at least the cold dish should be eatable.

The worst Chinese food I've ever had in my life. The noodles were bland and oily, the pork incredibly dry and flavourless and the deepfried chicken sickly sweet and oddly flavoured. I can only describe the flavours as disgusting. The portions are also small and options limited

I was there today with family. Place is crowded however it doesn’t mean they should put 3 people with other 3 random person on one small table. I could not move my hands 😔 Plus, they charge 10% service charge not on total but separately on each dish to make more money even through I paid all together. I don’t even know if it is legal to do that ?! It was my 4 th time actually coming there. I thought food is delicious why not and noodles they brought for my husband was cold. Awful experience, staff not friendly at all, only one woman was speaking nicely to us. They keep taking plates from table without asking if you are finished or not. Spend £38 for 2 soup and 1 portion of noodles. I am not coming back there at all.

Nice service by the waitress and food mostly good (the noodles were great, however squid wasn’t crispy enough). I would recommend people who do go here to be wary of the billing process as during our visit there was no bill provided with itemised costs, we were ushered upstairs to pay and then given quite a performance by a man with a calculator yet it was unclear how the final price arrived at has been determined and felt like this process is open to abuse. It seemed an extra 15% had been added on to the cost of our meal without explanation, I am sure the owner would say this is an honest mistake if challenged, yet having this process in place give me doubts as to the integrity of the establishment and the respect they have for their customers, therefore not sure if I would return mainly because of this.

The food is ok. I recommend noodles with soup. But take away would be much better with hygiene. I found out there was dust all over the bowl. I thought it was just pattern of the bowl but I tried to rub it and it came out. 🤢

Very authentic and delicious beef noodles. The soup and noodles are very chewy. I recommend the braised beef brisket ramen over the authentic ramen. The soup is strong and the meat is large. The only drawback is that the meat is a little tough, but overall it is very delicious. , the service staff are also very helpful when needed. The seats are a bit crowded and not suitable for sitting for a long time, but the queue speed is relatively fast. You won’t have to wait for too long. The price is very good in terms of the portion and quality. Highly recommended.

Caution!!! I won’t be coming back again. For those with a discerning taste in food, think twice before visiting. I ordered a tomato-based roast duck with rice. What I got was dry fried rice, with tomatoes and roast duck thrown together in a messy stir-fry. Traditionally, roast duck should be crispy, aromatic, and served with fragrant oil as a dipping sauce. When I expressed my disappointment with the dish, the waiter said it couldn’t be changed unless I paid an additional one-third of the cost for ingredients. Such stinginess is shocking for a Chinese restaurant. The seating was cramped, no water was served throughout the meal, and at checkout, they tacked on an extra 10% dine-in charge, which was not clearly stated outside the restaurant or on their menu. This hidden charge leaves you feeling deceived when paying the bill. This isn’t just about one issue, it’s a series of complaints that ruined my entire day. Writing this review is the least I can do after such a frustrating experience!

I wasn't looking for anything and I saw you. It was an unexpected encounter, he was walking down the street, he caught my attention and we went in. Abundant portions, very tasty and a great price for London and in the heart of the centre. A typical place, without masks, small but very nice. The tables are shared but that is not a problem. I ate here 2 years ago when I had to chance to visit London. My plane landed real late (almost midnight their time) and after being in the air for 9 hours I was so hungry. I walked here from my hotel and figured why not? Never would I have imagined the little gem I found! The food was exquisite!! Everything was fresh and everyone was friendly. This place truly set the tone for my entire trip! And if you’re wondering why I’m writing this review 2 years later.. it’s because I couldn’t remember this place or the name of it for the absolute longest. But I finally found it and I’ll never forget it again! And if I ever get the chance to go back this will absolutely be my first stop! ❤️

This place is a hidden gem! Authentic Japanese restaurant, with indoor and outdoor seating, just for a few people. It is located just across Leicester square tube station. There was a small queue, but a waitress will pass and get your order and seat you in , depending on the availability. They make original had pulled noodles. The soup was delicious and tasty, with good amount of noodles and beef! But the dumplings were the BEST I had so far! They were fried, but the dough was soooo yummy and the pork stuffing was full of flavor!!! Must visit!

There is a very different and simple menu for take away food that is generic Chinese takeaway food that's sat there on the hot plate and not the same menu as sitting down. £8 is still good value but I was more after the fresh noodles and something a bit authentic.

Worst food we have had in London, ever. The duck, dimsum, noodles all were bad. The duck tasted stale and upon suggesting the same, the manager just shrugged it off. Awesome little place. Only came here as my son wanted noodles but didn't like the look of places in China town. You get lots of food and it was really nice. You can see the chefs cooking and also making the noodles. Only downside was I smelt of onion for the rest of the day. It's definitely worth a visit.

Looking at the location and the constant crowd this place pulls, its hard to believe how badly cooked items this place serves. Good reviews mislead us big time. Starting from thick coated bland dumplings, to fried rice cooked with poor quality curry powder, was excited about the hand pulled noodles but they became a big sticky lump within 2-3 minutes of serving, the roast duck smelled bad, not fresh at all, even after complaining they did not do anything about it. Its advisable to stick to the old eating places at the main lane of China Town (Gerard St, etc).

Been going to this noodle shop for the past 5 years, never have I ever tasted more fresh noodles as theirs. It’s my go-to shop whenever I come to Leicester Square I wouldn’t go anywhere else. Seriously a hidden gem amongst the hundreds of shops nearby. Portions are large and hearty, and the noodle broth is satisfying to drink after you finish the noodles.

If you want a long, fancy meal with waiters hovering over you at every moment this isn't the place for you. However, the food is incredible. You'll sit wherever they can fit you and service is what I would call direct and efficient but not rude. Come here for the food (particularly the spicy and sour soup) and accept that it isn't a fancy sit down restaurant and you'll have a great time.

They have a lot of dishes already made, but you should order a noodle dish instead - you won’t be disappointed.

Amazing portions, super fresh chewy noodles and good selection of dishes for such a small restaurant. Really flavourful broths in the noodle dishes, and i would definitely recommend trying some of the dim sum, and the salt and pepper squid which was amazing and a very large sharing portion. Just to be aware though, the duck dishes did come with duck on the bone, which made it a bit harder to eat, especially in a soup.

So pleased to find this absolute gem ! So full of flavour, perfectly balanced and the pork and chicken we had with noodles, just melts in your mouth ! We initially went across the street for some noodles, but was shocked about the price so we spotted this noodle bar that looked authentic and had very good prices also, and so glad we did ! A much in demand busy spot in cental London. Staff were attentive and quick in seating us (despite it pouring in the rain we only waited 5 mins). Staff took our order outside and our food was delivered promptly. Extremely tasty noodles-very moreish and a more than generous portion. Great for a quick bite to eat before the theatre.

I didn't eat here, so I won't talk about the food, which looked good, on the other hand. But we asked for a table and they took us downstairs, next to the kitchens, without ventilation. We decided that we weren't going to stay, and we almost couldn't get out because our shoes were stuck to the floor because of the grease there was.

If you want the real deal this is It, the food was amazing the service was solid. My only issue was that the interior was very small so we shared a tablebut regardless we were able to get seated in 2 minutes and had an amazing authentic meal. We even made friends during dinner.

The team here is efficient - they are all connected on headphones and you dont even feel it when you get the next. The food is great. I got the dumplings and the duck noodles ( although i wish I got the classic chicken). I got an order envey looking at the table next to me 🙂. Such a disappointment. I've walked past this so many times. Yesterday I went in. I was the only person ordering in an otherwise very busy restaurant. The server was in such a rush he didn't really ask what I wanted. I ate this - and it ruined my afternoon. I felt slow and lethargic. Next to Leicester sq exit, the place is always busy with people in and out. The menu has improved over the last couple of years. We ordered a seafood fried noodles and a veg spring roll. The food was pipping hot. Service was fine and fairly quick, be prepared to sit next to strangers when eating upstairs. There are additional seating downstairs and outside too...

An address to which we come for the cuisine and not the setting. Coming out of a musical, we looked for restaurants that were still open late and decided to come to Lanzhou Lamian Noodle Bar. On arrival it's a bit confusing in front: there are a lot of people scattered around (between those waiting to be seated, those waiting in line, those who have nothing to do there, etc.). We don't really understand where to queue but we find our way relatively quickly. Despite the crowd in front, the servers are super efficient and we were seated very quickly. Inside, everything goes very quickly, it's a bit like a factory. We are given a menu with perhaps more than fifty dishes, with different types of noodles and cooking. We feel we have to hurry so we choose a little at random; fried pork and chives dumplings, “Fried” Lamian noodles with char siu, “Dry” cut noodles with char siu. The dishes arrive not even 5 minutes after the order. The ravioli are really very good, the stuffing is very generous and we don't miss the chives. The noodles are meaty and made in front of us. The char siu is really very good when you come across pieces with fat (one of the best I have eaten), but very dry when this is not the case; a bit of a shame, we feel that it was cooked too long and at too high a temperature. Vegetables are anecdotal and in very small quantities. Overall it's a very good meal, but the service (efficient but urgent and not warm) and the setting (old, small, not necessarily super clean) bring the rating down. However, I am not giving it 3 stars because that would be a bit harsh. In terms of prices, count on £8 for ravioli, £12 for a noodle dish, £1 for water and 10% more for service. It's very reasonable. In summary? A nice address that stays open very late and will therefore be able to welcome you whatever the time. A victim of its success, it's very busy and a bit factory, but the food is good. Ordering take-out may be a good solution.

We went to this place for dinner and we're placed at a table in the basement. It had the feeling of a fast food restaurant, very bright and noisy, not very comfortable, which is generally okay. However, the service was terrible. Everything was rushed, once my friends were done eating they were sent upstairs to pay and the table was cleaned while they were still seated, all while I was still in the bathroom. Considering the fact that you have to pay a 10% service fee that is unacceptable. Furthermore, my request to get noodles instead of rice with my desired dish was denied, which left me with a meal that I didn't actually want - no flexibility. My meal was obviously ready-made and the sauce tasted exactly the same as one of the other dishes. When wanting to pay they were not able to even give us a receipt. Instead they circled every dish we had on the menu and upped the price. According to them, they haven't updated their menu yet (I've read a similar thing in the reviews online from 9months ago). Overall would not recommend as it left us stressed and disappointed.

When I feel a little tired of the soup, I add a little bit of spicy sauce and it feels like the alcohol I drank the day before yesterday has sobered up or the greasy food has disappeared.
