The Ice Wharf in Camden

Very busy on the evening we went - not surprising considering it was a Saturday, but we got a seat after a while. Not always pleased to see bouncers on the door, but they were reassuringly civil and we got inside no bother. Despite the crowds - that were pleasant and jovial - the service was quick. Enjoyed my time here.

This was a superb pub to visit on the night, with a stylish and bright counter! The separators are nice between seating areas and design carries a smoothness, tube map related to drinking is a fun addition itself. I had a pint of Angelo Poretti and Stowford Press, appreciating the comfortable and very clean table!

Took over 30 minutes to get our drink at the bar and the staff member with the earrings was rude. The rest of the staff was nice enough however.

Great pub by the canal. Relaxed atmosphere and reasonably priced food/drinks.

Few weeks ago ...as a customer for about 20 years ..visited sat on my own ...was there few hours went to the toilet on my return went to bar was accosted by manager ...was accused of racially abusing and harassment of one of his staff .. unbelievable I was always polite just one young inexperienced guy who did not understand ..yes I can say did not understand much English always everyone repeating themselves..I sinply said if I recall less ice in drink it's not the titanic as a joke .. the manager would not let me see accuser or show me any evidence whatsoever. So unprofessional even when reported to Watford head office I was,still accused of bad behaviour....total fabrication even case of mistaken identity as I even remember names of staff who served me ....no way to treat customers it's puts on the very few good staff you have a bad name at the ice wharf...highly recommend don't talk to staff you will get no help from manager who walks around with glum look all day creating everything but a nice atmosphere....suggestion look harder at your hiring of staff policy before a public humiiation takes place ...as turnover seems to be rampant at ice wharf and to have staff accusing innocent customers of racially abusing is beyond contempt

Cheap and cheerful. Burnt chips and small dry fish...not so bad when u r drunk.

Food is way too expensive for the standard of a Spoons. It's not good enough to justify the prices. The ONE good thing was it was cheaper than everywhere else

Amazing spot to enjoy your beer and look at the view, relax, admire the surroundings. The location is great for a Sunday walk.

Decent Wetherspoons tucked away on the lock

Popped to The Ice Wharf for a drink, large pub on the riverside opposite the Camden Food market. There are three seating area outside, smoking, non smoking and covered area. I used the app and the drinks were delivered in timely manner. The staff were very friendly and were clearing tables quickly. Very good prices as at all venues.

The cheapest beer and food in London.

On a very busy Sunday had to queue to buy drinks and food. Only 3 staff serving at bar and Camden was heaving with people. I asked to speak to the manager to suggest it would be more respectful to customers by having more staff serving. Her answer “you can go to another pub if you don’t like it” I even thought she was going to throw me out for even daring to complain. Not my usual experience of Wetherspoons across the UK. Very poor management at Camden on so many levels.

Always a great spot! The indoor area has its own unique atmosphere, but the outdoor seating is where it really shines. Perfect for people-watching and enjoying the fresh air, by the canal especially on a nice day. The drinks are reasonably priced, and the food is exactly what you'd expect—decent portions and good value. Service can be hit or miss depending on how busy it is, but overall, it's a solid place to relax and unwind.

Nice Wetherspoon, good location.

The location is nice, but this is the worst service I’ve ever experienced at a Wetherspoon. I ordered an Aperol Spritz, and it came out light orange - almost like sparkling water with a hint of flavour. I went to the bar, and one of the staff refused to top it up or fix it in any way. He offered to top it up with lemonade - what on earth? Apparently, he couldn’t add more alcohol. My husband then went back to the bar, and another staff member remade the drink, but without any ice because the bar had run out. Honestly, what is wrong with this man? I’ve been to countless Wetherspoons across the UK, and the Aperol Spritz is usually very tasty and just right. But this time, I was being taken for a joke - £6.90 for what was basically sparkling water with a hint of Aperol. Rude staff and horrible service!

Mi madre y yo fuimos humillados públicamente y expulsados groseramente del establecimiento un sábado a la hora del almuerzo por un miembro del personal cuando nos sentamos a pedir comida. Esto se debió a que llevábamos tazas de café vacías debido a que no había contenedores públicos afuera. Tratamos de explicar cortésmente, pero el personal no lo aceptaba todavía. Nuestro viaje de un día a Londres se arruinó después de esto. NO volveré y sin duda pensaré de nuevo en entrar en cualquier otro local de Wetherspoons. Servicio al cliente asqueroso

My mother and I were publicly humiliated, and rudely ejected from the establishment on a Saturday lunchtime by a member of staff when we sat down to order food. This was because we were carrying empty coffee cups due to there being no public bins outside. We tried to politely explain but the staff would not accept it still. Our day trip to London was ruined following this. I Will NOT be returning and will certainly think again about entering any other Wetherspoons premises. Disgusting customer service

A cocktail is now called that of the friends. very good and cheap bar to go with your friends. This chain is spectacular, a must go for a drink, there are beers, cider and cocktails, as well as food.

Giving 5 stars as I am basing this on value for money, and not a Michelin star restaurant as you get a lot of bang for your buck in all weatherspoons

Nice weather spoons. Like pretty much all across the country. Friendly staff, decent price drinks especially given it's London, clean toilets. Was very busy at lunch time then busy again around 4pm onwards on a Friday.

Situado en el lado del canel, perfecto para un mokka o tres, por la mañana temprano. Vale la pena una visita

The food is acceptable, quality-price is good. If you want to eat something typical and with many options and cheap, this is your place. Very fast service and very friendly waiters, we felt very good. Beer in large quantities and a very good atmosphere. It is a fairly large site.

Staff get easily distracted when serving the public and some find it very hard to locate a Spirit on the Counter at the back or a mixer in the fridge.

Excelente relación calidad-precio. Justo en el centro del mercado de Camden por el canal, así que la ubicación es privilegiada. Limpio, ordenado y ventilado por dentro. Fácil de pedir y menú variado con muchas opciones. Buen café también. El personal era amable. Muy impresionado. been here before during the day with family and seems like a nice spot but unfortunately i had an awful experience with some miserable security guard at the door. 8 months pregnant and just finished an 8 hour shift so so hungry and wanted to go in there for some food with my friends just to get RUDELY turned away by the security guard. he told us “if you don’t like it u can go somewhere else” and we did. we were across the bridge with other security guards from another pub laughing at him. however the other security guard at the door was a little sweetheart. props to him for keeping calm and trying to defuse the situation.

The place where you can have the most affordable drink and food in London, the food is very delicious, be sure to try their sweet chili sauce! Although it is located in a touristic area, the prices are very reasonable, be sure to stop by for a drink after a day of sightseeing

Visited this place with 4kids for breakfast after e got the train to Euston and fancied a visit to Camden Town. Plenty of space and the usual drinks and food you get at a wetherspoons. Canal straight outside the front door and in a good location.

Didnt eat so cant say, but its a weatherspoons so should be good. It was very busy tye weekend we went, lots of stag/hen parties so seating was an issue. Staff was polite and actually I was served quite quick when i went ti the bar even though they were busy. Nice views of the canal, and lively atmosphere.

Very poor quality food. We opted for a burger and fries and I regret not going to McDonald's. Quality of food to review: half were cold and barely defrosted. The service is autonomous with an application or it is up to you to go and claim at the bar. Very fast service. Practical for aperitif moments but not for dinner. Fairly noisy pub atmosphere

Cheap place to stop and rest Coffee for £1.6

Lots of choice in food and beers at a very affordable price. And you can sit down and take your time, unlike the many street food stands on the other side of the canal.

We were there on the 24th and a blonde woman with glasses attended us. The woman was very patient because we don't speak the language well, thank you for so much kindness!!!!!! The fact that hot drinks are as many as you want for only £1.56 seems very good to us. Spectacular food quality, incredible prices, and very good service, we recommend the spicy wings with a bowl of fries. We liked it so much that we went 5 times in one day, incredible.

This is a nice pub in a picturesque part of Camden. Fast and efficient service and a nice relaxing atmosphere. The ale is also very good

I don't like chain stores. But this one has a special place in my heart. For a coherent menu, relaxed manners, the number of additions and the possibility of shaping the menu (dish + drink). It's obvious that this is a budget restaurant, not an oasis of taste, but every time I try something new it is of a stable and good standard, and the atmosphere of the place itself is unique.

Beer was very bad, had a Doom Bar, was dreadful, so changed to a bottle, and had an Asahi, me and mate both agreed it was also dreadful!

Very busy. Staff mostly doing table service but no free tables. All in all not the greatest spoons but we got there in the end.

The food is good, the value for money is worth it. Better to order in person, the coverage for the app is quite regular, and by approaching the bar, say the table number you are at and what you want, they will serve you quite quickly.

Absolutely disgusted with the experience I had with the bouncer. I went outside for a cigarette and two bouncers made assumptions that I was drunk and presumably violent for no reason. However, my only option is to assume it is because I am black, since these things wouldn't have been said to a white person. They said my behaviour was "unacceptable" when all I did was try to walk in. I am astonished by the lack of respect for black people in this day and age and I hope you can do better. And a message to the black people that are thinking of coming here, do not. This is not a welcoming space for us.

From all the places in London that I have visited, this one is the most affordable when it comes to the choices of beer (local, international, craft and industrial). Located in the hart of Camden right next canal. It is great choice to have 1,2, 5 beers :)

Another perfect Wetherspoons. This has one of the best locations of any Spoons; right on the canal. It's a big place too with outdoor seating. The food and drinks are in line with any other Wetherspoons, great prices and decent food. A solid bet for a better value pub experience.

The is one the biggest spoons you'll find. Situated in Camden near the river and is always heaving with people from all walks of life. The staff are friendly and attentive, the prices are slightly higher than the normal spoons. However still worth it considering the area

Terrible, the bouncers were absolutely rude on first appearance. They told half of us who hadn’t had any drinks we had too many drinks because we were excited. They nearly turned half of us away. The tone they used with us was completely unacceptable and unnecessary. I will not be coming back here and will probably be reporting to higher ups within the company. Completely unacceptable!!!

The only thing that lets this place was the WIFI, which we needed to use to order via The App...

Can't fault this place, right in the heart of Camden on the Canal, next door to the famous Stables market. Food was excellent value as always and really very tasty, with good beer to boot.

The Ice Wharf is one of the best priced pubs in the area, though I wish they moved the upper flood tables away on on a Saturday night to turn that space into a dance floor! It used to be a really great nightclub, but the switch to a more traditional Wetherspoons means it's a nice family lunchtime option, or a stop-off before other boozers in the area. The burgers used to be pretty large, but over time they've thinned out. The food generally is decent, but the focus is on value rather than the highest quality meal. THE WIFI AND DATA SIGNAL HERE IS HORRENDOUS! It makes it impossible to order anything via the QR code.

They cut our table off because people were sending us too much food, bad jest ruined our day and ignorant when questioned about it

Worst bar ever in London. Literally the worst experience I have had. Most rude bar in London. They literally kicked us out after two drinks because they ‘felt’ they needed to. The managers were racist, homophobic and rude. Wouldn’t recommend to any brown or black person.

Like most of the other Wetherspoons around the country, it hits the spot. Reasonably priced food, great selection of beers and friendly staff. I found The Ice Wharf to be spotlessly clean and efficiently run.

Nice pub, I walked here from Islington along the canal towpath. Lovely outside area right by the canal and with a pedestrian only bridge if you arrive on the other side. Ordered on the app which when you are visiting a pub on your own is great, you don't lose your table going to the bar to order. Drinks arrived in about 6 minutes on a busy Friday night. My pint of Guinness was perfect, as good as you get anywhere. Food came a few minutes later, very nice and friendly service. It's way more expensive than Wetherspoons outside London but you pay for the location.

My husband ordered a glass of beer at the pub, while I bought a coffee at the nearby Black Sheep cafe. Despite my husband being a paying customer, I was abruptly kicked out by the security staff. It was an unpleasant and disrespectful experience, and we won’t be returning to this place. Very disappointing service—shame on them.
