The Flask in Camden

First visit to the Flask very impressed by the amazing traditional decor and comfortable seating. The staff were great as was the beer and sausage roll. Best buzz and music heard during our weeks holiday 😁x

Lovely old pub. Popped in for a coffee Sat lunchtime and atmosphere and food looked so good we stayed for lunch. Ploughman's board with hot scotch egg, sausage roll, ham hock terrine and sourdough was amazing (rubbery bland cheddar was only let down) and youngs beer (flat and malty) was perfect. Very busy so great atmosphere. Will be coming back for an evening visit. Just what pubs should be. Dog friendly

Great Pub. The atmosphere is great, the snacks are great, and the drinks are great too. Scotch egg recommended. Moreover, the neighbourhood is great. What else, the temperature is pretty great and the music too. Recommended.

Great to be back at The Flask for drinks in early 2025. It’s always great service and a really warm welcome! A wonderful pub and team.

Lovely hidden pub round the corner from the underground. Very oldie and atmospheric. Service was ok wouldn't say very attentive as we had to get our own menus for desert but the food was delicious! Fish and chips with a side of tarta sause and curry sause made it. My partner had the burger and was also divine. The toilets desperately need more attention as they were pretty grim but all in all was a nice evening.

We had an amazing Christmas Day meal. Staff is always friendly and accommodating. One of our favorite pubs in London.

Food took forever and when it finally came It was a sandwich that consisted of 90% bread and 10% filling. Also had to keep chasing up drinks.

So glad I booked The Flask for me and my friends annual festive meet up. Staff were friendly and helpful and the food was impeccable! Thank you to the staff member who said we could stay a little bit longer than our allotted time at our table - really made us feel welcome and the atmosphere was lovely. Will def be visiting again soon 🙂

Good Sunday roast, fun relaxed atmosphere, friendly staff and good drinks. What is not to like?

We love the Flask! Great food, fun atmosphere and wonderful service. What’s not to love?

We came here for a nice lunch but we waited forever to be seen despite making a reservation. Once we finally ordered drinks, they sat on the side of the bar for so long going cold that we went and picked them up ourselves - they confirmed they were ours but didn’t even offer to bring them over so we ended up serving ourselves. We then waited even longer to order our food and it took a lifetime to come. I eventually asked someone how long it was going to take. Eventually, when it came, there was nothing to it. The steak sandwich had 2 strips of steak in the whole sandwich. The £5 side of chips consisted of 8 chips in total. Such a let down as we’d been recommended this place by a friend.

A favourite pub of mine and my friends! Lovely atmosphere, great food and drinks and the staff are professional, welcoming and friendly!

Service was good. We had the special 3 course traditional Christmas lunch with main being turkey, pigs in blankets, leg ham, yorkshire pudding, roast potatoes, brussels sprouts, carrots and parsnips. It was a huge meal. Would have preferred to pay less and have less of the main meal as we had to take half of each main meal home in a takeaway box, but it shows how generous the servings were. Also highly recommend ordering a lemon, lime and bitters drink. 🥤

Staff were nice and friendly, interior is cozy and it feels warmly welcome. Would recommend :)

Had a lovely meal and our waiter Jacob was brilliant. Great food and atmosphere, very Christmassy too!

Had a really enjoyable late lunch, the steak main was lovely. But my favourite was the scotch egg starter!

Food was really good. Very fresh and great portions. Staff where all lovely and nothing was too much for them. Great selection for drinks.

What a great Christmas catch up with friends. Delicious fish n chips and the Rioja went down a treat too! Excellent service from start to finish. The Flask never disappoints.

Cosy but not pokey. The snug with mostly young, posh types (many of whom French?) with their dogs out on a Sunday afternoon. And I, posh and old, seeing myself in them. Hair touselled, gumbooted, attractive and confident about things I know about while frightened of things I don't. This is a metropolitan England within London, I think, and drain my pint before walking around the corner to have a turmeric latte.

Eight of my family (4 adult couples) plus a baby had a wonderful Christmas lunch get-together at The Flask on Saturday 7th Dec 2024. Food was delicious and delivered super quickly and Meg, Tara & Ayisia were wonderful hosts. Very welcoming, attentive to our various requests and really contributed to a lovely relaxing lunch together. Thank you. We will be back!

We were a party of nine and the pub was amazing with some dietary restrictions, food was incredible service was top notch. We loved it.

The service was overal ok, friendly staff. We all ordered sunday roast. The annoying this was they came twice after we placed our order to say they run out of the Yorkshire pudding and then of some of the vegetables!..But the food was good and the portions very generous for a pub in central London.

Popped in for a quick Friday lunch. Service was friendly and efficient. Our server was able to answer our meal questions. Our sandwich options were all tasty, although the bread for the steak sandwich could have been more exciting. It started to get more and more busy after 1pm.

Disappointed to be honest, Sunday roast was pretty lacking. Watery thin gravy, two dry potatoes, one lonesome carrot... It's a lovely pub but I wouldn't come back for food when there are so many Hampstead pubs who do it better.

Lovely place, great atmosphere, and delicious food. Super friendly and helpful staff even if the pub was full of people and the service was slowed down a little. Will definitely going back next time I'm in the area.

A pub with a nice vibe on a cute street in Hampstead. Staff were friendly but the Sunday roast (we had the vegetarian roast and 1/2 chicken) was rather flavourless and not what we expected based on the reviews. Very dry potatoes, chicken was dry, gravy didn’t taste of much and the same goes for the veggie roast. Bloody Mary was also rather bland unfortunately. Fun to try but wouldn’t come back for the Sunday roast.

Nice cosy pub. Great selection of beers and ales on tap. RECOMMEND.

This pub down a side street in Hampstead is an absolute delight.

Really nice place, but 84 decibel music is designed for the staff, not the guests. PS: the owner just replied, thinking the sound level must be from a different pub. I'm still here, and it's currently showing above 85dB. Have taken a photo and sent a message upstairs inviting them down to sample it. PPS: He came down and we chatted. Very nice guy called Jesse. We redid the sound test, and he said he didn't know anything about decibels. There's a quieter room behind, but it had no seats free.

Great food and service. We had the roast . Music a bit too loud hence 4 stars for atmosphere

Love this spot for people-watching and the very friendly, super-social vibe! If you're planning on dining, definitely book in advance - walk-ins don't work (as with pretty much everywhere in London).

First time visit as we were staying in Hampstead for the weekend. I had booked a table for Saturday night having read good reviews, good job I did as it was really busy. Good selection of beers, food was very good, we both had cider battered fish and chips - they were soooo crispy and delicious. Great atmosphere and great service. Would definitely recommend and revisit. Many thanks.

So good! Amazing cauliflower cheese and loved the nut roast. Would have liked more than 2 potatoes but everything was still delicious.

The food was a hearty portion and everything was delicious. We ordered a sausage roll and the Flask roast.

This pub and these people!!! We really, really love The Flask and visit every time we´re in London but never had dinner there. That will change now. Amazingly good roasted squash and a superb sirloin!! Just go there, folks!!!

Cute authentic old pub on the corner of a little back street. Nice spot to grab a drink.

We came here with family for an evening dinner. The pub is welcoming with a buzz! as are all the staff who were very attentive to all our needs! We enjoyed a section of starters especially the cauliflower soup! And pate. Our mains were well presented and plentiful. Everything was delicious and piping hot!! They have a good choice of wines too. We had a lovely evening and would like to thank everyone at the Flask. We will be coming back soon!!!

We enjoyed a delicious Sunday Roast at a cozy table on the bar side. Lexe was our polite and attentive server, providing pleasant banter and excellent service. Best gin and tonic we’ve had.

Super cute pub at the end of small little side road in Hampstead Heath area. Not too loud or busy on a Thursday late evening. Nice they have low / alcohol free options available.

My granddaughter got to sing with the band. It was great.

Had a delicious Sunday roast here. Unlike the other pubs I tried to book online a couple of days before, it had a table available INSIDE and when we got there it was a nice spacious one in a good spot even though there were only 2 of us. It was refreshing to be able to order pork shoulder rather than the usual pork belly roast too. Service and beer recommendations from LEXE were great and when we overstayed it was no problem for them. Full marks!

Wonderful Sunday Lunch food good, staff friendly and efficient I would recommend…….. One issues the Ladies Toilets were horrible two toilets couldn’t be used certainly hadn’t been cleaned that day ..

It was a busy Sunday but Lexe kindly squeezed us in. Great service and food! Loved the fish and chips and fish pie. Nice atmosphere.

The roasts are so delicious and well made, the staff were friendly and they even have a cocktail menu. Both the margarita and the espresso martini were amazing!

Really tasty roast - the pork was well flavoured (fennel I think) and seasoned, very good gravy, big Yorkshire pudding and a tasty selection of veg. Perfect for an Autumn late lunch after exploring the Hill Gardens & Pergola, and a mooch along the high street. Nice table too in the conservatory bit - light & airy. Pretty good service too, and friendly welcome

The history, location and my favourite Youngs beer - chill out in Flask Walk - consistently fabulous 👌🏻 love being there. Classic pub. It's truly a classic characterful pub with lovely people and atmosphere...

As roasts in London go I would rate this 5/10. The beef was overdone and the double top Yorkshire pudding was a bit dry. Believe there was a potato shortage and the sauce on the side was extra charge. Still very nice location. Very good Bloody Mary. Still in search of the best Bloody Mary but this one was alright.

The best beer garden in London. Came here at the end of a long walk on a hot day. Ended up staying until close! Lots of tables and quick service via the app. Will be back!

Was here with my family for a Sunday Roast. Lovely pub and friendly staff, thanks to Lexe in particular for taking care of us.

Had haddock sandwich, quality of sandwich was below average, fish didn't have much flesh, quite hollow fried batter, for £9.50 on what tasted like cheap white bread and a leaf of lettuce, very disappointing! Quality of food in most pubs are below acceptable standards. Left a tip as service was good though. Price of food didn't match its quality.

Much enjoyed our visit. Imaginative menu, smiley attentive service, relaxed ambience - Flask walk was busy on the Bank Holiday but blissfully distanced from the touristy Holly Bush. We ate on the pavement as inside was quite dark, maybe soullessly so in the back.

Had a wonderful Sunday roast here, service was great and the food was delicious. The roast chicken was some of the best I’ve had in a long time - definitely recommend.

Historic pub in London. Very nice, very good beer and friendly service.

Nothing was too much trouble. We booked a table of 10 for a family reunion. We we were really looked after and were able to relax and enjoy catching up. Lexie and Tara served us and the service was outstanding. When there was a problem with one of the mains, they sorted it quickly and without fuss, making sure we were compensated too. The Flask goes way back in our family history with our great grandfather being a regular customer and we are glad we can also come and raise a glass to him here

Pretty great day at Hempstead, walking through the Heath, working up an appetite. We ended up having an early dinner, Sunday roast with a few drinks. Tara and her team were superb to us - finding us a table…moving a table…letting us laze around a bit and just savouring the late summer evening. Great service! Cheers.
