The Roebuck Pub in Camden

Visited here the other day and had a great time. It’s a very nice and cosy pub. The service was really good too, I was served by Summer who was friendly and very attentive. The food came out quickly and tasted great, portion sizes were very big as well. I’d recommend the sausage and mash, will defo visit again.

No service for 45 minutes, waited an hour for food. Literally tasted like the last lot of food scrapped onto our plates. Awful, worst food I’ve ever been served in a restaurant - couldn’t eat the beef it was so tough and sides were stale. Manager knocked the roasts off our bill but that wasn’t the point of the afternoon. Such a disappointment, quite frankly I’m still shocked as to how bad the food and service was.

Fantastic Sunday roast. Best pork crackling I think I have ever had, and a tasty piece of pork. My wife had the chicken which I tried and it was equally delicious. Dog friendly too. Worth getting here early on a weekend as they can generally find you a table even though they were pretty fully booked.

The Roebuck in Hampstead is a wonderful pub with a welcoming atmosphere and excellent service. The staff are friendly and attentive, making you feel right at home. Their chicken and mushroom pie is a must-try rich, comforting, and full of flavour with perfectly crisp pastry. The pub’s charming garden is a real highlight, offering a lovely spot to enjoy a drink, especially on a sunny day. The Roebuck delivers on all fronts. Clearly short of cooking and serving staff last night for some reason. Usually good. Food was so-so, and there were long gaps between serves.

Tuvimos un tiempo increíble en el Roebuck! La comida era absolutamente deliciosa – el asado era perfecto con patatas muy crujientes. Los budines eran igualmente impresionantes (desmenuzado y pegajoso toffee). Enorme saludo al chef – ¡puedes decir que realmente saben sus cosas! Todo estaba cocinado a la perfección y lleno de sabor. El personal era increíble también, muy acogedor y servicial. La selección de cerveza también estaba lista. Probé el Guinness 0 , y fue como lo real – gran opción si te estás saltando el alcohol. Muy recomendable!

The children’s menu has a great variety of options making it an excellent choice for all eaters.

He estado un par de veces a lo largo de los años y por un tiempo fue bastante decente . . Hoy sin embargo, era más que malo. . Las cenas de asado para mis hijos fueron terribles. Salsa acuosa, patatas asadas horribles y la carne era masticable y cuerda y obviamente de baja calidad. . Mi ensalada Caesar estaba recubierta de mayonesa y quiero decir recubierta. . Fue tan repugnante que tuvimos que dejar la comida y salir de allí... El gerente para ser justos nos devolvió todo el dinero de la comida y nos trató bastante bien . . Es una pena que no vuelva hasta que sepa que han resuelto sus problemas. . Los chefs necesitan una conversación seria o un replanteamiento total y un nuevo equipo de cocina. . Tiene mucho potencial pero hoy fue un verdadero desastre para ellos. .

This pub is perfect for getting into the Christmas spirit—the decorations are gorgeous. The food was amazing—I had the delicious lamb Sunday roast, which was cooked perfectly, and the Crumble for dessert—so tasty! Lovely pub with a great friendly atmosphere that comes not just from the other customers but also the staff espeically Matiss who is always so smiley and helpful. Pub is very clean and tidy and no table is left with glasses or plates on for long periods of time. Perfect place to be now the weather is changing :)

We LOVED our lunch at the Roebuck. The food was super and very generous with portions. We had a roast pork belly which was excellent and moules frites, again excellent. Great choice of wine; we went for a Gavi. Of particular note was the service. The staff were outstanding. Everything was smooth and nothing was too much trouble. Thank you so much!

Nice Sunday lunch, friendly and lively atmosphere

It's always a great experience, since we used it for some friendly gatherings. It is a bit pricey, but still very good.

A nice spacious pub situated opposite the Royal Free Hospital in Hampstead. They had 4 cask beers so I opted for a Youngs original at £5.65, quite reasonable for the area. They also had a selection of around 20 whiskies. They have a nice, quite large, heated garden area. They offer food, mainly typical pub grub but with some items that are different e.g. stuffed sardine starter at £8.50 and a roated squash gnocchi main at £16. They had a good choice of wines with prices for a bottle starting at £24.50. I was here at midday on a Tuesday so it was rather quiet. The service was friendly. In summary a nice pub, worth a visit if you are in the area.

Far, far too noisy. Dogs barking with owners laughing a it saying how sweet it is. Too many tables crammed in to maximise revenue. Not enough space between tables

My partner and I had a wonderful Sunday roast here after a nice walk through Hamsted Heath. We booked in advance, and the food was incredible and the service from Vicki was immaculate. Would definitely visit again.

Been going here for years, it's a lovely pub, with decent food options. There's a garden out back that a lot of people don't know about too, which is nice. The vibe is also super chilled.

Everything was nice and tasty, except macaroni & cheese which was super overcooked 😂😂 but the flavor was good, the service was excellent. Pleasant environment. Prices slightly higher than fast food, but that's because of the better quality.

Great pub in Hampstead, fish and chips are very good. Expensive but you get what you pay for. Very warm and cosy atmosphere. Alex was very attentive. Recommend.

Very nice food, lovely atmosphere and the staff member who served us, Alex, was very helpful and kind!

I had a very negative experience at this restaurant, which I feel compelled to share. I was invited for an interview and ended up working for free under the pretense of a "trial shift." After just two hours, it became apparent that the supervisoer , particularly the supervisor and chef, were exploiting workers. Both of them apparently are from Eastern Europe, and I've unfortunately encountered similar situations with other Eastern Europeans in the past in Germany, I knew very well these types of people. If you’re considering applying for a job here, be extremely cautious. They seem to take advantage of hopeful job seekers, so it's best to steer clear and find a more reputable establishment that values its employees.

We went to a private function. The barbecue, drinks and atmosphere were first class. The pub has a great balance between tradition and modernity.

After searching high and low for a Sunday roast, my friends and I stumbled upon this gem of a pub – and we are so glad we did! We were lucky to be served by Summer, who was absolutely amazing from start to finish. She was warm, genuine, and incredibly attentive, making us feel right at home. Her professionalism and friendly demeanor really stood out and added so much to our experience. The roast itself was perfect, and we left the restaurant feeling completely satisfied – everything just hit the spot. We’ll definitely be back, thanks to Summer and the fantastic food!

Came here for a birthday party. Nothing much to say than that it was your normal run of the mill pub. Nothing special.

Excellent Sunday lunch, attentive service and our table of six were allowed to sit, eat and drink for as long as we wanted.

Another wonderful lunch at this fine pub in Hampstead. Our party of seven included two very elderly folk and our server Alex, was very attentive and explained everything with great patience. The food was fantastic, as always. I opted for the Chicken Caesar salad with anchovies and a crispy egg which was divine. The burgers and fish and chips were also devoured.

Alex was amazing. He recommended the perfect accompaniment to our dinner options and was more than delightful to work with. Sometimes you feel bad to ask for anything at certain places and Alex was more than helpful in ensuring we didn’t go without what we needed. Thanks so much!

Totally happy with the food and service,it was excellent, although a quiet night which was a surprise for a friday night but the quietness probably helped speed up the food service which was quick. We would gladly return.

We had a fantastic family get together over Sunday lunch at the Roebuck. Delicious food served by friendly and efficient staff - we were not rushed or hurried and had a great time. Lovely that the food was not just the usual pub grub - much better than that - there was a fresh sardine starter! Highly recommended.

Matt was a very accommodating host from start to finish. Beautifully finished pub in a lovely part of London, I highly recommend.

Had a really tasty dinner here. The miso aubergine thing was delicious, and the ox cheek mac and cheese side was good too. We also got a steak which arrived medium-well, despite us asking for it rare, but it still tasted good so we didn't mind so much. The chips that came with it were also really good, and there's a great selection of beers and other drinks.

This spot is lovely for a lunch. We were too early for visiting hours at the hospital opposite. So we stopped in for lunch. Summer was amazing from the moment we stepped into the pub. Even trying to put stuff on the table quietly while our 6 month old was sleeping. Super attentstife and amazing customer service! She really made our experience 100 times better!

Food and servuce were great. I celebrated my birthday there and the table was nicely decorated. Staff were friendly and accommodated for our needs. I would definitely recommend this place for drinks or special occasions.

Staff lovely and genuine on a busy day. We were a party of 13 during Euro England match and yet felt very attended too. Food delicious and service remarkable for the crowd!

Terrible Sunday lunch. Waited nearly an hour for our food and when it finally came it was awful. Rock hard, cold potatoes, gravy like water, mushy carrots, greasy Yorkshire pudding, ok chicken (the only thing worth eating on the plate). So disappointing.

Look at this finger licking delicious burger, amazing service, place to be if you are in Hampstead , back garden is a gem and plenty of space inside. Thanks to the team for looking after us. Good day out. Oh plus so will be back

A great pub with plenty of different seating areas equally suitable for an intimate meal with a loved one or large group celebrations. Not many places manage to combine these experiences so well. Fabulous outside square . Staff attentive, friendly and efficient. A great selection of Gins and whisky’s. Great location opposite the Royal free and only a 4/5 minute walk from the Hampstead Premier Inn and a short hop from the high street

It was a Monday so it was quiet. Great service, ask for Lachy or Matt.

The food was delicious and the service impeccable. Nothing to fault. The beer garden is cute too. I will definitely go back.

Summer was amazing today! We had a lovely lunch in the garden, the Special of the day - herbed lamb rack cooked to perfection, perfectly matched with a glass of Rioja as recommended by Summer. The garden was really nicely set up, very atmospheric, food delicious and truly outstanding service! We can’t wait to come back!

Sunday roast was served with reheated potatoes. When asked how the food was, I mentioned this. The server frowned, never spoke or made eye contact again, really??

We had a lovely roast dinner here! Had the veggie roast, chicken roast and fish and chips and all the dishes were lovely- really good portions for a fair price :). Service was also faultless- thanks to Will & Alex!

Matt has been very nice and very kind.

This is not a good place to eat for vegetarians nor vegans. For a main the only options were a vegan burger or vegan sausages with potatoes and apple. I tried the second option, which turned out to be without any taste or flavour, a totally bland dish. Nowadays any chef should be able to think up a vegan or vegetarian dish which is not just a copy of a meat based dish with the meat being substituted with plant-based lookalikes. The service was very pleasant though, but I am afraid I will not be going back even though I live very close by.

Guys we arrived around 18.00 on a Sunday. Roasts and burgers where very dry. Floor team accommodated our difficult group which we are grateful but that food should not have left the kitchen. One roast was sent back as one of the group would not tolerate it which was replaced by not a much better dish. I do not recommend the pub for food.

I came for lunch today to meet a friend with my 7 month baby. The service we received from William and Matice was exceptional. They were so warm, welcoming and helpful from start to friend. Could tell they were being genuinely friendly and warm. Really made it a wonderful experience. Ever so grateful. Thank you both. Food was also delicious, both had the sausage and Mash. See you again
