Absolutely beautiful food with amazing service !! Best I have eaten in a long time. The chef even came out to ask how spicy we would like each dish ! I highly recommend . New owners have defiantly brought back the spirit .....

Was invited to a birthday party we were about 30 in the group the place was happening there was another group on the other side the bar was busy and the MUSIC loud for my taste But it seems my group enjoyed it and danced all along. It was live music and they were not bad. We were served starters and I really enjoyed the garlic MAGO the sheekh Kabeebs were PERFECTLY cooked not over done and just the right spice.the CHICKEN TIKKA was good aswell In the mains we were served with Lamb on bone just right enjoyed it. The Aloo Gobi nice and crisp and the rest was good. I met Jasbir the owner it seemed he was new in Food industry His wife who coordinated the party did a good job she was on top of everything and she is good singer. I went through there menu found it too extensive they also serve buffet lunches at 5.95 cant go wrong will visit again soon

Will never order again, late delivery, bad curry, bad customer services. Order was wrong and they questioned it, replacement curry was half empty. Watery saag aloo, jalfrezi was nasty, bad roti. Never again

Recent owners have no idea of running s pub . So called indian pub with indian food They had insects in food by health officials from council . They have NO SERVICE . Went in one day . No one came to serve as lady busy on her mobile for ages . Ridiculous. I walked out . Disgusted

One expected a Russian Hussar to host na international cuisine. However, it was merely glorified dhabba cuisine. A plethora of Indian food that was filling was offered. However, they lacked originality and distinct taste. A shoddy lunch buffet menu. Perhaps a la carte was better. The seating arrangement inside was like any quaint old pub. Tables and chairs inside a lovely cottage. However the food quality left a lot to be desired.

Paneer tikka masala great. Chili naan could be better (they used chili paste rather than chilies).

Overall the food was good. The tandoori fish very very Spicy Hot, not sure if it was meant to extremely spicy , as we couldn't eat it. Also a bit frustrated with 3 starters only one tiny pot of chutney (10/15 ml) gone in one serving and NO Salad whats so every at all . So i had make one to go with the starters. ..... :(

Been there a few times always the food has been good. Loud music on weekends. Launches are very good and reasonably priced good choice on buffet or you could order alcarte. Good items on the menu very Punjabi style the service is also good.

Food was very late. Tried calling restaurant no one was picking called just eat they were also enable to help finally food arrived with 40 mins delay and one of the dish is not fully cooked. Used the same restaurant before and never had any issues but this time very unprofessional and disappointing service.

Food was full of oil and delivered with a broken bag.oil spilt all over the carpet. Chilly garlic prawns cost 12.95. for 5 prawns with capsicum and onion. tasteless.sheek kebabs so hard as if reheated after cooking it 2 days ago. tasteless. Chicken jalferzy was shredded boiled chicken reheated from old leftover. photos taken.rang back to talk to the manager who didn't want to come to the phone..was told he is busy with his family. Rating.....The most disgusting food tasted and bined.

Food had asafoetida (hing) in it which is not to my taste. Only one decent dish, the ginger chicken. Naan were also nice, but won't be ordering from here again.

The only reason this has 2 stars and not 1 is because the food is tasty. After ordering on the phone was told 45mins on a Saturday night then I call 90mins later I'm told it will be there any minute no sorry no apology. Rude! When they rush the food drops no chutney/sauce for the kebabs, no salad... popadoms came in a paper bag!! Shocking!! This could be a great a establishment if they had decent service! Basically don't order on a Friday or Saturday 7pm onwards!

We ordered 3 starters for takeaway and it took 30 minutes longer than expected. The restaurant's staff wasn't helpful, we asked on 3 different occasions while waiting for asked we were told that it will be 10 more minutes but in reality, it took a lot more. That being said we felt the quality of food was good but the overall experience wasn't very pleasant.

usually love this restaurant but again they put too much chillie in all dishes and all dishes went straight into the bin!! also the flavours of the daal makani keeps changing and today it was disgusting. what a waste of money! Not great as it was my husbands birthday!!

Food  was absolutely delicious.  Love the atmosphere. Best ever indian food i have tasted in my life. My starters and main courses were heavenly and i will definitely keep coming back for more.

usually delivered on time and we get what we ask for but this time it was 45 mins late and the food was very spicy even though I asked for it to be very mild as a child would be eating it and my 2 year old daughter couldn’t eat it and nor could the rest of the family so all went in the bin.

Deliverant was rude to me when delivering my food too early due to a misunderstanding which was not my fault. The owner probably has given him the wrong order and so he was rude to me because he delivered the wrong items at the wrong time and hang up in my face when i tried to explain to him that this is a misunderstanding. there was a communication barrier due to the low level english. Food was not very hot and enjoyable, had to place it twice in microwave to reheat it. I may give it another chance but that would be very unlikely, unless the owner manages to change my mind. otherwise, all in all, i felt regret spending my money on this restaurant after being mistreated for a mistake that had nothing to do with me.

Everything was terrible, customer service was disgraceful from the restaurant, food was cold and wasn't fresh, delivery was ridiculously late. Also how can you not have a manager on site and tell me as a customer that they are not in then tell justeat customer service that she's on break??!! just sad

I visited last week with friends and the food & service was very good . The Indian buffet is exactly what I needed as I was travelling on business was actually missing a good Indian meal . The food was exactly what we make in home style cooking in India and I loved it . Will definitely visit again .

Kebabs were hard and over cooked,lamb saag was full of gristle very poor quality meat and cheap. Very over priced for the quality.

As i called them, the lady on the phone said they will wait for the driver to come back and then send the bread. The bread took another 45 minutes. we began to ate anyway, but the food was all cold (not warm, cold!!!) the chicken karahi was all bones, we could not find any chicken. will never order again. very disappointed

My food arrived so late and stone cold. The food was swimming in oil. I got a call from the restaurant to say can i pay by card rather then cash as they will be sending out a taxi driver to deliver the food i said no i only have cash she then went to say well the taxi driver has to come back and give us the cash. After that phone call i waited over 35minutes then i recieve a call from a taxi driver stating he is 10mins away. Never again!!!!

Food was really bland ordered butter chicken and chicken briyani, the chicken didnt smell right! Not going to order from here again. You can tell the cheif has changed!!

Very very long waiting time and was not warned I waited an hour and half for the food to come but when it did come it did taste good just was disappointing as most of it was cold due to it being out for delivery for ages

Been here a few times, as I work outside this was a welcome place to eat Friday for a warm up. There are chicken, lamb and dall available along with rice, roti or nan bread. You can also add a decent fresh side salad all for around £7. The staff and locals are friendly and welcoming.

Disappointed this time, lamb chops were atrocious, the meat was smelly (lamb chops) lamb kebabs were too thick to even enjoy, butter chicken was better last time. Maybe new chef but very disappointed. £35 down the drain in my opinion.

The food nice and nice portion, never tried before but really nice, chicken cooked to perfection :) shame that you put drinks together with food so it gets worm, but will definitely order again :)

I been here a few time since I moved into the area. The food is really tasty and full of favour. Great place depending on what day you go. Sometimes it can be quiet loud. I love ordering the food there.

Me and my hubby visited TheHussar on Thursday last week. As always the food was Devine! For starters we orders kebabs and chicken tikka. It was absolutely delicious and marinated extremely well. Portions are big as well:) For mains we ordered chicken biriyani which was amazing as expected. It is always a pleasure to eat here! If you're planning on going, then please go as it is typical freshly cooked Punjabi food! You'll love it!

Hussar is the kind of place where you can pop in everyday for lunch without any doubts in your mind about variety, taste, quality and overall ambience ( measure the ambience with a realistic mindset given its location, type etc.) During weekdays lunch it is brilliant due to the great value buffet they have. 4-5 curry items , freshly served roti, nan bread, rice. A no-fuss lunch during busy weekdays at a very reasonable price. Food is always good in taste and fresh. Been there once during weekend in the evening and this place turns upside down...extremely loud music and pretty much nothing I liked...my rule is to only go here for lunch when I need something quick and I can be sure taste will be 3.5/5 minimum all the time.

Lo único que decepciona en este lugar es la suelta y la mesas de caballeros no tiene cierres en la puerta o cualquier perchas para colgar tu abrigo/chaqueta.

Food arrived 15 mins early but no rice, this only took an additional 10 mins to get after a quick phone call, which gave us time to eat the starters. Ordered from here twice and would definitely order a third time

The pub looks a bit tired inside, toilets aren't clean and when you ask staff they just look at you. Some customer care training is needed! We went there to watch football and the screens are tiny and it seems it hasn't been renovated for a while. As a regular patron you would expect your local to be comfortable and cosy but Hussar is quite disappointing at the moment. On a good note the food is great as they offer good quality of Indian dishes.

My order is not yet delivered, while ordering it was expected 20:55 but the rest changed to 21:05, after some time added extra 10 mins and now it's 21:35. Still no sign ... But status says its delivered. This is my last time order with just eat! Very disappointed

Over the top oily food and very spicy even for an Indian. The taste is hit & miss for most items. Crispy stuff arrived soggy. Naan was too chewy. That's £55 in the bin. I wouldn't order again.

I ordered 10 different types of naan bread to accompany a big family curry. I booked the naans to arrive at 5.30. At 3.30 I had a phone call saying the order was about to be delivered. I stressed that I needed them at 5.30 and NOT before. We then served our curry at 5.30 and despite me calling, the naans were not delivered until 7.10, which was too late. Will not be ordering from here again.

I like going to the hussar for few drinks along with my friends !! Food eaten hot while there is amazing !! I do recommend eat it !! But takeaway was not that great because the food got cold ..

Visited from Birmingham, friendly bar staff. Good selection of beers, decent food. Only complaint is the screens are too small for Sport. But would visit again.

I did not enjoy my meal. My order was wrong and very oily. I have to wait 1 hour and 30 minutes for my order. It was cold when it arrived. I had go and find the driver in order to collect my order. Only to be told the address on the order was wrong. I have ordered a number of times and had this issue before. To be honest the worst experience and will not be ordering again. Only tried as per a friends recommendation.

Frequent user of Hussar and its very reliable option. As with any restaurant. there are good dishes and some not so good dishes. We love the biryani, dal malkani

Ordered cans of Coca Cola along with food and haven't received the cokes!! Called to get it delivered again and lady tried to persuade me that if I order again, I will get the cokes free next time. Requested them to deliver my coca colas today but still have not heard the door bell ring in 40 mins! At this rate, I won't order again!!!

I asked for BBQ wings and got something completely different! Egg fried rice wasn't very nice but apart from that it was ok

Nunca se vaya a otros restaurantes indios, pero para el Hussar.

This is about my third order from the Hussar and on all three the food has been top class in flavours, generous portions and delivered as requested. This is certainly one of the best Indian restaurants in the area.

My 2nd meal from The Hussar again superb food and good portions. My only observation is that the Tandoori chicken did not come with its own side salad and mint sauce as most restaurants, and there's no mint sauce on the menu.

Splendid meal, very tasty. I expected a chutney or raita and salad to go with the starters which we did not get.

Placed order at 5.45 pm .... One hour 20 mins have passed but no food as yet ..... Called them to check only to be told that food has not left as yet as the driver hasn't come back from previous delivery. My food is made ready and sitting in the kitchen. So about another half an hr to wait and by then all food will be cold .

Food was way spicier than expected, even the mild dishes were too spicy for me to eat. Quality was very good, but beware of the spice.

Was down in London staying in the local travelodge and someone recommended this pub to me. Rocked along for a bite to eat and a few drinks. BAs soon as I walked in the atmosphere was great. Happened to be what they called wine Wednesday's. Had a few glasses at very reasonable prices and a small dish of Indian food.When there I met these two girls - Claire and Vicky. What a hoot these two were and we had a great time chatting, dancing and unfortunately hitting the shots.Best night in ages and being from Newcastle that is saying something. What a friendly pair they were and infact the whole pub was great. Claire even got her boyfriend Darren to take me to the airport the next evening as he is a cabbie. Unfortunately didn't see these two when I popped in recently but don't worry I will be back.

It's a shame the food doesn't arrive on time. The best food by far, they just can't get it to you when they say they will. Over 30 minutes late again. Don't think I'll be using again, it takes away from the convenience when you have to chase the restaurant and unfortunately justeat don't seem to understand what customer service is. It's a shame you can't rate justeat for the lack/no service they provide.

Amazing food, they look after you well, and good drinks.Lunch time buffet available.Monday's £2 a pint which is a great reason to go down there.Food is really good, especially the bar snacks. Highly recommended.

The atmosphere is awful in this place and the crowd are the same. Its a run down pub with a run down clientelle. Avoid. Drinks are expensive and glasses are not washed!
