A lot better now new management in place, staff seem happier food great, atmosphere, very clean , staff polite. We will be back .

The wonderful team at the Hunters Inn hosted my 40th birthday celebrations. I had a lovely space to decorate and hold my Alice in Wonderland party. David and Barry are so helpful and provided solutions to help make it a successful time, such as the amazing cake!! The food was great and the staff were friendly and attentive. It was a special milestone and this venue really made it smooth sailing and allowed me to make my party my own! Thank you endlessly all of the team! 😊😊

First time going to this pub. Food was delicious, very big portions (to big really) but very nice! The lady who served us was very friendly. Definitely be back.

Had an enjoyable family lunch and although the wait was a bit lengthy, it was well worth it. The food was well cooked, hot and large portions. The staff were also friendly and after lunch, the children enjoyed the outside playground.

Myself and a mate of mine popped into the Hunters Inn for dinner last night and had the pleasure of being served by a young lady called Catherine. Catherine was personable and professional and couldn't do enough for us. The food was great, very filling and for a last minute decision on a Wednesday night we both very much enjoyed the experience. I've recently moved to the local arear and will 100% be returning in the not too distant future. Massive thanks to Catherine once again who was brilliant!

They have a very friendly staff! Our puppy was very spoiled. They also have an amazing beer garden and children play area. I will definitely come back.

No service. No atmosphere. Nobody there. Large car park but no cars. What does that rell you.about the place? I would give it a miss..

We were surprised to see the pub so quiet when we arrived for our lunch booking but we needn’t have worried. The service was friendly and the food was delicious! We had a lovely afternoon.

Worst experince I have ever had at this pub. Back in the hayday was the best place to be in the area. After several unsuccessful landlords have been and gone, and trying from time to time, we thought for a special occasion we we would try out again as under new management. What can I say drinks came out in dribs and drabs. Told quite a few beverages not on menu even the waitresses had not been briefed on what was missing as the poor girl had to come back and tell us after taking our order. Starters then not available which she also did not know about. After waiting a good 45 minutes after our starters and a few questions of where our food was we finally got the wrong order. Told we had to wait for the 2 chickens to be cooked but rest of the table was ready (after 45 mins) we called it a day. Won't be going again even on the off chance that it might be different. Other than us 8 I believe that there were only two pther tanles of 2. Stay clear as no one has run it right since the owner sold up in 2014 and quite obvious the new owners have no idea either.

We hadn't been to this pub for years and unfortunately I don't think we will be returning any time soon. When we arrived we were told that the menu was limited as they were waiting for a food delivery, we were handed a hand written not with about 10 choices , this included chips, garlic bread and a few other small meals. When we asked a member of staff if that was all that was on offer she abruptly said "yep" Such a shame as the pub looked really nice , perhaps they should have closed until their food stocks had recovered , not a good impression.

Lovely independent pub, warm and cosy atmosphere, friendly staff, huge portions and great value for money - cheapest beer for miles around. Highly recommended 5*

On Saturday we went to the hunters inn for dinner it was lovely we had a very warm welcome by all the staff and the management team it she even brought a birthday cake out and all the staff sang happy birthday what a lovely touch to a perfect evening thank you we will be back

Had a great experience the other day at the hunters Inn. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Food was amazing, came out quick and there was a decent amount on the plate. Definitely 100% recommend, for drinks and for food.

Very average food. Sunday roast. Tasteless. Cold raw cabbage! Gravy like water. No one asked us if the meal was ok until we finished, which was a struggle. No real concern when we commented on the meal. No recompense offered and then to top it all they charged us for three meals instead of two. This was refunded. Unfortunately won't be returning.

I was visiting friends for a drink and following a difference between two girls in the pub which i was to stop, I was then accused of causing a problem, I was pushed to the ground and dragged out the door by my feet by someone called Andy, while Angela (manager) was shouting abuse, I caught my elbow on something while being dragged out the door, which required stitches. If you want a friendly welcoming pub you need to have friendly welcoming staff. Angela farmer was a fowl mouthed woman, her boyfriend apparently was the man (Andy) dragging me out the door, not just out the door but all the way up the path. This has gone to police. Avoid at all costs

Absolutely disgraceful, Avoid at all costs. The manager is a very unprofessional unpleasant woman. Would think she is a customer having a drink the way she acts. She is very rude and talks to her staff very badly. Whoever owns this pub must be mad if they think a woman like her will bring customers in. Will never return again and will make sure my family and friends never go there.

Pub virtually empty, just 4 tables with diners. One walked out because there wasn’t a decent vegetarian option, another couple waited to order the entire time we were there. The other table received a pie that was completely different to the one ordered. Service was comically bad, music was awful Tribute Beatles on a loop. Then the food… I had a burger, which was so dense I could barely eat it. In fact, I didn’t. It tasted grim. Other meal was fish and chips. Chunky chips horrid, fish tasteless, batter vile. Mushy peas gritty. How this place keeps going, I don’t know. Avoid at all costs!

Seriously you would be better of with a frozen out the pack roast dinner from Iceland kids roast same size as adults not big by the way and was all cold we walked out

The food that came to our table (1 hour after being seated) looked worse than a plate served at a homeless shelter. The portions look like we had been served scraps, it was cold, tough and the gravy was like water. As for the crappy attitude served to us after we had complained, I had a nicer experience falling into a bramble bush.

Greeted by happy friendly staff member and taken to table. Food was excellent had the roast Beef with all the trimmings including fresh veg. Very generous portion but all cooked lovely.

Popped in for a drink on my travels. Very welcomed by the staff and was always on it with the drinks. Friendly staff from start to finish. Topped off with the very reasonably priced drinks. Will be returning to try the food out!

My husband and I heard that the Hunters Inn was back open, it was always a family favourite so we were really pleased to be back. It did not disappoint!
