The Hungry Pilot in Harborough

Sadly this review is not based on the food but of the lack of forethought of the owners. We took a 54 mile motorcycle ride to get to the restaurant having checked beforehand that it was going to be open. Both website and Facebook state this cafe is open on a Tuesday. Unfortunately the owners have decided not to open during the week in winter but are too lazy to update their website or Facebook page letting you know this. Be aware this cafe is not open weekdays in the winter. We ended up turning around and finding an alternative venue.

I was not impressed with the undercooked sausage and bacon, the toast was just buttered bread, not a great start to a day.

Great food and friendly service. Fantastic place for anyone with an interest in aviation, or food, or both like myself! Nice tidy indoor dining area, or you can sit outside and watch the flying while you eat. The fry up's and Sunday roasts are highly recommended.

Fantastic well cooked homestyle food Served by Alison & her dedicated friendly team. Can recommend the excellent Sunday lunches.

Great food and service at The Gliding Centre. Recommend the avocado and poached egg on toast. Sunday lunch is good as well.

Amazing full English with friendly staff with a great selection of homemade cakes!!! Would 100% recommend
