Bought three takeaway dishes, which resembled spicy soup! Normally Indian dishes are heavy on meat and vegetables, drizzled with sauce. These Humble Thali dishes were heavy on sauce with very few vegetables or meat. Heinz big soup has far more vegetables. The photos of the curry on the website bear no resemblance to the takeaway I bought.

Somehow my review from last year has disappeared, so… Spotted this was opening on my door step, and before having an opportunity to try met a friend who has has very discerning tastes who highly recommended it. Before this I import by Indian food from Southall, usually a big order as I like to have a variety of dishes rather than one dish and rice. So gave it a try that evening, as Thali is right up my street. I was very impressed. Now have ordered a variety of their dishes, swapping out the various breads rice and Dahls, leaning heavily on the vegetarian and fish dishes. They increase the heat a bit for me. Good depth of flavour, fresh ingredients with a variety of dishes. You should give it a try if you like clean and authentic flavours. I know I do, ordering every few weeks.

Amazing new casually chic restaurant tastefully furnished with lovely smiling people. Dishes were brilliant starter Chilli cauliflower was tossed/cooked to perfection so was the thali dish, the lamb was tender and juicy. Daal tadka was far from the ordinary too. Can’t wait to return to try other dishes. May be one suggestion is to offer the mains served with Thali as a mini chargeable extra portion so that one could potentially taste without having to buy the full set thali/main dish.

We were intrigued when this restaurant opened and decided to order a takeaway. We both had Thali, I had chicken cafrael and my husband had railway mutton thali. We both swapped the chapatis for naan bread. The food was ready and waiting and packaged very well. It was tasty and just the right level of spice. This is not like the average curry restaurant in the area but it’s a refreshing change and very authentic. We will eat in next time! Well worth a visit.

Thali’s are one of our favourite things to eat so we thought we would try it as it’s right on our doorstep. We went to the Staines branch. Not much to say apart from it was just delicious, Authentic, homemade and beautifully presented. You could taste the fresh ingredients. We got greedy and ordered so much that I had to take mine home! The restaurant is dog friendly! They have treats for furry guests too. Susie our host was an absolute pleasure, so friendly and caring. I got to meet the chef too, she was lovely. We will definitely be going here regularly and can’t wait to take our friends. Very reasonable prices too for what you get. The portions are very generous. You can take your own alcohol at the moment which makes it even more cost effective. I don’t eat rice so I had cauliflower rice. It was delicious. They cater for vegans and have a lot of options for any dietary requirements. The mango lassi was scrumptious. If you’re not familiar with the menu, your host will go through it with you in detail, so you know exactly what you’re ordering , there are also options to upgrade your thali and swap dishes around. 5 stars are not enough! Even the takeaway packaging was done so well, it was sealed with a lovely handwritten message.

I had dinner here with two friends recently. Two of us are vegan and I am also coeliac. No problem! The restaurant has separate vegan and gluten free menus and the staff are really friendly and helpful. I had the nutty aubergine curry as the main dish on my thali, which also included a fresh chutney, dhal, rice and salad. The sauce on the aubergine curry was one of the most delicious things I've ever eaten, and quite unique. Apparently it is their own recipe. It was also amazingly good value - we spent just £34 for the three of us. At the moment, they haven't yet got their licence to serve alcohol, so we brought our own drinks. We didn't have room for dessert and went straight to the main course. I will definitely be back!
