The House Of Pho in Lincoln

I came with my family we all had something different to taste each other food. The food itself was not what I excepted it to be and it gave 3 of out 4 of us bellyache afterward. However the drinks/coffee here was decent, the staff and service were friendly and the interior was very beautiful and simple. I love of the photos hanging on the wall.

Never tried this place before, but would be more than happy to go again. The food was delicious and arrived quickly. I had beef satay and my partner had barbecued duck. All tasty and perfect - tender meat and crunchy veg. I also had a really nice mocktail. Good value and good food. Attentive and friendly staff

Very tasty duck noodles and lovely summer spring Rolls. Chicken curry was nice but it was crispy coated and then covered in curry sauce so went a bit gooey. Overall It was fairly empty and lacking atmosphere. Staff were very friendly. I think we’ll go back tho.

Visited on the way to the cinema. Popular restaurant. I had a beef broth dish but it was a little too spicy for me. Would go for something milder next time.

Had the beef udon noodles and the gyoza from the specials menu. Food was delicious and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Will visit again if I’m ever in Lincoln

Food was horrendous and gave me the runs. Service was however great.

Really trying hard to be positive. I ate 3 meat pho soup. Which came with sausage? Fatty chicken and I believe was beef (1 piece) smelt like Body odour. Too strong on mint, no flavour and no bean shoots. Can say the squid was to die for (chef speciality) maybe? Am sorry, worst experience for me and my two guests. Myself and my boy were both sick (literally) me in restaurant, my son outside. Staff were lovely. And very on hands. But our review at the time went ignored. Won’t be going back. Very sad as I was visiting son at uni and it was his treat, felt bad for him. Never had an experience like that and don’t want to again.

Beautiful place, large menu which would be perfect for large parties. I did find the menu a little confusing, especially all the different types of pho because I didn't know what they looked like so I didn't know which to order. But I loved the vibe, the staff were really friendly and the cocktails and food were delicious.

Service was lovely, very friendly front of staff. That's where the joy ends, unfortunately. I ordered the three meat Pho, and Rainbow Rolls to start. The rainbow rolls were very bland, and the king prawns just tasted like water, paired with the very overwhelming branch of basil and mint which was hard to ignore. The dip for that was not as expected, previous experiences with this dish has been that the dipping sauce was zingy, sweet and tangy wih fresh chilli and lime (in other Vietnamese restaurants) but this sauce was thick, and manufactured. The three meat Pho, was infact, duck, chicken and beef, but also with the added addition of a very strange sausage, which was literally grey. Again, normal expectations were beansprouts on the side, but they were already in the dish. The duck was fatty, beef grey and human like and the umami fragrant flavour of Pho was nowhere to be found. I cant explain but if you have ever eaten something before and thought there is something not right? This was that situation. I am so sad that this experience wasn't better as I had taken my mother and brother for there first Vietnamese Pho experience, which sufficed to say, was a 2 out of 10 at best. Underwhelmed, disappointed, and queezy. Thanks for having us though, and again, very polite welcoming front of staff.

Lovely buffet choices and tasty food. Service was excellent. A treat and will be going back. Buffet £30, comprises 3 courses with unlimited choice on each course.

Came here because is was craving pho and ended up ordering their summer spring rolls, the perfect starter! so refreshing and the portion was very good! then i had their spicy mi guang which was a bomb of flavour absolutely delicious! I normally don’t finish the broth when it comes to noodles but I absolutely demolished this one🤭 and because i have a sweet tooth I ended it with the special dessert of the day which was a mango and chocolate base cheesecake, so creamy and the right amount of sweetness! Was served by the lovely staff Davina who was caring and very helpful with advising me on what to order! Will be definitely back to try more from the menu!

First time going here, dont think it will be the last, everything perfect, the staff helped all the way through, explaining, all the alagies, and the menu. We had a trainee looking after us, and couldn't find fault even if i tried, would definitely recommend going here

Mediocre food, wouldn’t rush back

What a lovely find this place is. We found it spotlessly clean and the service was exemplary. Amazingly fresh tasty food with generous portions too. Our arrival was greeted by a wonderful smile from a lovely young lady who took time to explain the foods. Next time we are in Lincoln this will be the place where we will go.

Superb lunch of duck in plum sauce, chicken in lemon sauce with jasmin rice, with delicious Vietnamese coffee to follow. Very polite, attentive and informative staff that couldn't do enough to make this a memorable meal. The food is incredibly tasty, with good size portions and cooked to absolute perfection. Great service, great atmosphere and most importantly great food. Highly recommended.

The food which was really good value for your money was so delicious and flavourful while still having a large amount of the protein in the meal. The staff were very nice and the service was great making sure I felt welcome and informed on what was in my meal. Amazing experience would definitely come again

Don't be put off by the location or the brightly lit canteen style - if you want a relatively quick bite to eat. Fresh and vibrant food, no nonsense.

The worst meal I've had in a long time. Beef tendon with fat in place of any significant beef. A greasy mush in place of flat rice noodles. Tasted like soap. The restaurant was virtually empty on a Thursday night - understandable.

Went in today for lunch with our daughter and granddaughter. Staff really friendly and helpful telling us about the different dishes. Also explained the different coffees available. All done with a smile and not hurried. Food was fabulous. The best ever Prawn Toast we've ever had! Overall great service and we will certainly be back.

Great little cafeteria style restaurant. We ordered vermicelli, chicken and black bean, barbecue pork with dipping sauce, and fried rice, with jasmine tea. All good choices. Service quick and very courteous. Great value. Would recommend.

Really enjoyed the food, it was freshly cooked and tasty. Had an authentic Vietnamese feel to it. I would definitely visit again, staff were attentive and everything was clean.

Service was slow to begin or maybe we just knew what we wnated and was hungry, given iy 5 *s cos after that service was incredible, and the food was absolutely delicious so so yummy, the place was clean and well decorated which was its own entertainment for our child

I’ve always wanted to try authentic pho! And Vietnamese pancake. End it was a fantastic experience. The servings are big, and the food is delicious. no need to go to Wagamama‘s when the real deal is at the house of Phone! I had a beef well done pho and it was delicious and came with a plate of fresh herbs. Be careful of the red chili. It is really hot. 😳 I was so excited. I also ordered the vegetarian Vietnamese pancake. It was a beautiful to look at, and it was delicious to eat and if I was trying to be good, I would choose this as a good healthy option. Although saying that the photo is just a clear broth soup, only the noodles are bad. Well, if you’re watching your carbs. 🤷🏼‍♀️ The prices range between 10 and 15 for the main meals and they were all amazing . My husband had the fried rice. It was probably the best fried rice I’ve ever had.

The BBQ pork was absolutely delicious, served with noodles, fresh herbs and salad made for an excellent meal (if a little heavily reliant on cucumber for my tastes - as much as I like cucumber it has a tendency to repeat on me through the day, but that is an issue for me and not a statement on the quality of the food, just make sure to pick from the wide menu choice as to what will suit you best). A better than average selection of soft drinks, too, though the server may not be immediately familiar with all the Mogu Mogu flavours available got there in the end and helpfully went to check rather than shrugging shoulders and this shows a good service ethos in the place.

My wife and I visited this place on Saturday, 16th September. The welcome from the ataff is first class, polite and very helpful. We have been to this restaurant several times and have always found the food amazing! The food is always tasty, fresh, and full of variety. The food can be adapted to suit different diets including gluten, and dairy free. The food is all made fresh in house, and is always delicious. Tina and her staff are doing a wonderful job! We highly recommend !

We’d been wanting to try this place for a while so popped in whilst passing for a quick Monday lunch. Honestly, we left feeling robbed. We ordered a coffee, a peach and orange iced tea, the chicken skewers starter, a beef noodle main dish from the specials menu and a bbq pork with egg fried rice main course. The place was not busy as there was only another table of 4 people finishing their food when we ordered. Our drinks didn’t seem to turn up at all and then the chicken skewers turned up…. Very greasy and the meat was super rubbery. Then the main courses turned up (still no drinks). Quite frankly it was all inedible. The meat in both dishes was really chewy and a weird colour, it seemed like it might have been there for a while. The egg fried rice was just a dry tasteless lump. The drinks did eventually turn up and the iced tea was lovely and Vietnemase coffee was very good. We decided to leave and not eat the food as were worried about the meat. Then we went to pay…. £44 for 1 starter, 2 mains, and 2 soft drinks. We basically gave them £44 for food that needed to go in the bin. Not sure if this was leftover food from the weekend, but it was rank. Our advice - don’t go here, go to Thai marina next door. Thai marina is our favourite restaurant in Lincoln and the food is fantastic!

Great food, a huge range of dishes and the service is great. I always struggle to pick what to order as everything looks so good, and I've not been disappointed with anything I've had.

Found this great vietnamese restaurant in Lincoln whilst walking near the river. Arrived as they opened and were greeted by a lovely young lady who explained the menu and served us with a constant smile . We ordered the summer rolls and The crispy beef and chicken .The food was excellent and the portions generous , one regret is that we failed to get the name of our waitress as she was wonderfull .

Goes to show - dont judge a book .... Wasnt overly enthused about going in but really glad we did. Absolutely smashing food, really nice staff. Great portion sizes and very tasty. Too easy to over order but you won't be upset if you do 😁

I stayed on the waterfront which seems to be populated by chain restaurants, but after a quick scout around found this place. There's loads of space between the tables, it's bright and airy with great ambience, and the staff are absolutely brilliant. The bottles of Vietnamese beer were lovely (Saigon was my favourite) and the recommendation to try the Mi Quang was gratefully accepted. It was freehold, tangy and spicy and absolutely loaded with meats, noodles and veg, and there's no way I could finish it despite my very best efforts.

I ordered Vietnamese curry noodles. It was a rather bland an uninspired dish. The sauce was what I imagined a Co-op own brand jar of sauce would taste like. There is a similarly named Vietnamese chain restaurant just down the road, you'd be much better going there!

Tried for the first time, there is a huge menu. We did have a long wait for drinks and them to take our order but then it was fine. A cross between Vietnamese and Chinese. Starters were lovely and If I go again would choose a selection of them rather than a main...because we were all disappointed with mains. Maybe we are spoilt as normally go to Pho...but its cheaper than Pho so guess its down to the individual. Nice enough and big selection of food to choose from.

What can you say? This is the most amazing Vietnamese restaurant I've ever been into and I have travelled all over the world many times for business. 5 stars for the food and the team. This is a must go place if you are in Lincoln, the quality stands up and surpasses any other place. Improve your life and try this.

The food was amazing. I had the roast duck noodle soup and it was amazing, there was a substantial amout of soft and tender duck and the broth was so flavourful I couldve drank litres of it! couldn't recommend this place any higher!

Good food and service and a great atmosphere. One major point was that my rise bowl and my wife's curry were very short of meat. On my dish for around £12.00 enough to cover a half a sandwhich very thinly

We were excited about eating this as we have previously eaten at Pho, the other Vietnamese restaurant in town, that is very very good. Imagine our disappointment when the takeaway arrives and the chicken curry is akin to baby food - completely tasteless slop with a texture of soggy mashed potato. The chicken itself appeared to be a frozen battered fillet cooked, sliced and served on top of the rice. Chicken was rubbery. We’ve had some bad curries in our time but I’d confidently say that was the worst. The crispy beef was better but still poor. I’m not sure there was much beef at all in the product, it was just like crispy batter in sweet and sour sauce with no actual meat. Spring rolls seemed very cheap, again like frozen food warmed up. Chips and prawn crackers were ok. All this for £45 felt like an insult. Double the price of say an average Chinese takeaway but even worse quality.

We savoured every mouthful of the Vietnamese Curry Noodles and Rice, a warming coconut-lemongrass based curry with carrots, potatoes, onions, garlic and fried tofu, seasoned with House of Pho spices. A mouthwatering blend of flavours, nicely presented, richly satisfying and tremendously tasty. Great service from all the staff who were so cheery, helpful and always smiling. We are happy and committed to supporting local, reputable, family run/independent restaurants where you can enjoy a memorable vegan/plant based meal and a friendly welcome.

The pho is excellent. The broth has a wonderful flavour and the beef is tender and tasty. It’s as good as any I’ve had in Vietnam.

My friend and I thought we would try somewhere new for a change and we were delighted we did. We both really enjoyed our meal and felt it was reasonably priced too - 2 starters, 2 mains and 2 drinks for £40 total. The staff were lovely and really helpful. The food was freshly cooked to order and hot and tasty when it arrived. The restaurant itself was pleasant and had a friendly vibe to it. We will definitely be coming back again soon.

The lad serving was great. Food came out hot and in good time too The starter of tofu summer rolls was just okay, not much flavour. The tofu, lemongrass curry and rice was.. meh.. over cooked veg and thin sauce. expensive for no atmosphere and average food. But, not the worse place.

Great experience, one server serving the whole restaurant and still got everything out timely and helped with any issues. Portions were massive and tasty, with loads of selection.

Amazing food but they forgot my drink

We had lunch here to celebrate my birthday, and again thoroughy enjoyed our meal. The waitress was exceedingly helpful and helped us with our choices where necessary. The roast duck with plum sauce was delicious, as was my wife's chicken in satay sauce. An excellent meal adding to the occasion!

We love going to this place to eat. The food is lovely. The staff so helpful in explaining what things are on the menu if you are unsure. They have vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options. Highly recommended it.

The House of Pho is a family and friends private business and you can 110% tell that by their food quality and customer service. Their presentation and service is top quality, out performing majority of the places I have visited. I will give a special mention to Celine who made our night exceptionally special providing the customer service that night. I have sampled their Beef Pho from my friend’s dishes and I must admit, the flavour is on point and top quality, I do admit, I should have ordered a Pho dish for myself! It was also soft and favourable and without a doubt… I highly recommend you try their Pho as after all, it is called “The House of Pho” for a reason!! Salt and Pepper dishes were excellent, well prepared. Highly approved and recommended. This Vietnamese restaurant has out performed a significant list of Chinese takeaways I have previously reviewed! Well prepared 5 spice salt and pepper mix, moderately spicy, crispy yet soft inside, made maintaining the balance! They are also one of the few who offer a mixed option (squid, beef, pork & chicken) and can accommodate for a larger portion unlike many places which just tell me no! If you are in Lincoln, you must visit this hidden gem of a restaurant!

Lovely Vietnamese meal. Freshly made and delicious, I had the lemongrass chicken. Really good for anyone with allergies, used a separate menu for nut allergy for example. Highly recommend!

The restaurant wasn't too busy or loud, which was perfect. The food took a long while to arrive, particularly the mains. The pho was really good, but some of the starters were quite bland. The trainee employee also forgot some bits of the order, but that was promptly fixed when announced.

Fantastic experience today despite being a busy Friday evening. The Waiters/Waitresses were very professional. Made arrangements for our Toddler to sit. Didn't rush us one bit. Definitely eating here again and again!

We went to the House of Pho Lincoln for my birthday meal treat and we had nice meal. The meal with nice and hot and well attended by the serving staff. I would have preferred a table further into the restaurant rather than near the door was not a private dining experience to be honest. The presentation could have been better but on the whole we enjoyed the meal and great value for money. The location is near the main road within Lincoln near The Brayford so is an excellent position for exploring more of the iconic town of Lincoln.

Vietnamese cuisine, very nice food, quick service, lovely and helpful staff. It was very busy for Mother's Day, but we didn't notice any drop off in service.

Starter of Satay chicken skewers was very delicious,the Mains of Barbecue Chicken and assorted meat Fried Rice(not eaten together),was a let down.Such a shame as we were expecting Mains the standard of the starters.

Really nice food. I had the crispy beef with egg fried rice and salt and pepper chips and it was absolutely lovely. First time ordering, definitely not the last! Can't believe I walked by this place so many times and never tried it.

I was a bit skeptical at first impression. However, the food proven to be absolutely delicious and authentic, with some dishes uncommon to even popular authentic Vietnamese restaurants in London. The interior vibe felt very modern with a touch of culture and history. The waiter seemed young but was informative for our queries. This place earns the stamp of approval from my Vietnamese girlfriend, and mine, so definitely worth a visit! Especially over the chain Pho place in town(not authentic at all).

Honestly the food was so good I highly considered immediately going back the next day, my duck noodles were immense and my son's got the duck and tofu and they were cooked to perfection highly recommend

Absolutely amazing food in this modest restaurant. Staffed by such positive and genuinely happy staff who wanted to ensure you were taken care of and felt at ease. As a vegetarian there were plenty of options on the menu to choose from, at prices that were very reasonable. A very handy location too, close to the train station, to town and the University. We finished dinner and had a train to catch an hour later and there was no sense of being hurried out of the place either to open up the table and that was a good feeling! Definitely going to return and recommended!!

Probably the best pho I've had since arriving in England. Had good broth and flavor. The fresh rolls (not fried) had good size prawns. They even have flavoring trays to add more to your dish.
