We were welcomed very warmly and were pampered the whole evening. The food and drinks were amazing. For us it was the best restaurant we ate in Lincoln

Great food, service and ambience. It was the perfect place to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Can't wait to go back on a sunny day to gave a drink in their garden.

Delicious food, friendly atmosphere, lovely decor.

We came here to have dinner and were not disappointed. My partner and I had the cauliflower and truffle soup to start, and Tori had the whitebait. Large pieces of fish and the homemade sauce Tartare really made it. Then the main came, ox cheek for Mike and I had the slow roasted rib. Tori had the mushroom and truffle tagliatelle which was heavy going but the beef and ox cheek was a tender as you’d like. Drinks wise there was an enjoyable non alcohol Espresso Martini and I think I had a lime soda. We had a really enjoyable evening and the staff were attentive, amusing and this place comes highly recommended

Came recently for a Sunday lunch, not as good as previous, food warm, and beef a bit rare for me, not really good value, a lot of other pubs restaurants better food and value for money

Been here several times for Sunday Lunch. Is a constant quality. Beef was pink and veg not overcooked. Sunday lunch is such a simple meal but so many people do it badly, these guys did it well.

Had the beef Sunday dinner , it was beautiful. 10/10 without a doubt. Food tasted incredible. The sticky toffee pudding was also amazing. Would definitely recommend to everyone. Best Sunday dinner I’ve had while out to eat. Best in Lincoln.

What a great experience. Shown to the table ( for 4 ) on new years eve The place was really busy so I was expecting to wait a while on the contary the waitress was excellent nothing too much trouble our drinks didn't take a minnute before we were ordering our meal that was served within 15 mins all fresh And hot. Can't rate this place enough.

Great food and a lovely atmosphere. The staff are always friendly and the cocktail specials are amazing. Reasonably priced food and drink. Great overall experience!

We were shocked how bad the food was as it used to be fantastic. I don't know if there has been a change of management or something but, at the moment, there are no plans to return, it was that bad. It's such a shame as a meal here has always been a part of our night out in town.

Sadly food not to the standard we have had previously. Ordered Fish n Chips...fish not as fresh as I have had before..fish over cooked and 2/3rds batter under cooked other 3rd very dark and tasted burnt. Very disappointed.

The food here today was phenomenal, (friends wedding) you're chefs are a credit to the restaurant. The confit of belly pork just dissolved in my mouth. I could've eaten another it was that tasty. The pudding, I even ate some of someone else's it was soooo delicious. I will be back here again for a date night meal and most definitely recommend to others. Very attentive hardworking staff, thank you all. Photos do not do this food justice. Oh amd what an amazing touch with the belly pork a tiny toffee apple, which I devoured.

Nice pub but always feels noisy.

Lovely place to come for a Sunday lunch. They have seating inside and outside and the front is a real sun trap. There is a two or three course option for a set price which was reasonable. Delicious food and would certainly return. The staff were friendly and attentive. You can sit outside with the dog too!

I met a friend for lunch today and I had the Chicken and Bacon club sandwich with chips and it was absolutely delicious 😋 100% recommend a visit.

We forgot to take some photos of the food, but we had some very good food. The atmosphere was lovely, staff were very attentive and there was a nice buzz to the restaurant. Our table was in the window and was a little drafty but other than that was good. Both starters were excellent, I had the King Scallops and my wife had Goat Cheese Bon Bons with Textures of Beetroot, the only thing I would say was that the ham terrine the scallops were served on was cold(ment to be) and this cooled the whole dish quite quickly. The goats cheese starter was very pretty and nicely finished. For main I had the Halibut and my wife had the Plate of Pork. The Halibut was delicious, cooked perfectly and served with a butter sauce which was delicious and I thoroughly enjoyed. My wife's pork dish was beautiful however slightly under seasoned and would be exceptional if the pork was a little bit better quality. For dessert I had the Blackberry and Pistachio Torte and my wife had the Sticky Toffee Pudding. Both were excellent dishes, I particularly enjoyed the blackberry sorbet on mine and the homemade ice cream on my wife's was delicious, the sticky toffee pudding was made with stout which added a delicious richness to it. We finished with a cheese board to share which was one of the most generous cheese boards we've had. The homemade onion chutney was delicious and it was nice to see a preference to local cheeses, however it would have been nice to know what there were instead of having to guess, we thought they were probably Lincolnshire Poacher, Cote Hill Blue and Lincoln Imp. All in all a very nice experience, consistent good quality food at a fair price and this was reflected in how busy the restaurant was. Would happily eat here again and recommend.

Lovely staff and good atmosphere. For starter we had wood pigeon breast and rabit. The taste was good but it could be a bit warmer. For main we had steak pie and lamb which were both perfect

Went to Number 38 at The Tower for the first time on a Monday evening, having seen lots of wonderful things on Social Media. This is a fantastic dining experience in every sense of the word - The food, the service and the absolute value for money is all first class - A must visit for anyone who enjoys great food

Had a rib -eye steak sandwich, and Faye had the Cauliflower soup with picante oil. It was the best sandwich of my life, she said the same of her soup. Service was excellent, the atmosphere was very comfortable.

Can't wait to return.. The food was some of the best we have ever had! We went as a party of four and have all recommended to everyone we know! The food was without fault.. Deserves a Michelin star 🌟 The service was 10/10 along with the decor and atmosphere!

Haven't visited for a meal here in years but came back for a late lunch sitting and was pleasently surprised by everything offered here. Food was delicious with generous portions, staff were attentive but not over the top. Priced well and warm busy atmosphere. Very happy and will go again soon.

Twas a cold and windy day and we came seeking shelter. Was there any space at the inn? Actually there was a table for two by the front window!!! Thank goodness. Food was amazing, I had beef suet pudding and my lady had the lamb. Staff were so nice , friendly and helpful. Lincoln Christmas Market was in full swing too but still time to chat with us. Sticky toffee pudding with cinder toffee to follow,could have stayed all day!! Complements to the chef and all the staff. Don't miss this little gem. I quite honestly found it by mistake.

The service here is absolutely faultless. They couldn't have been more helpful, friendly and accommodating. Especially for me - as a pescatarian whose in-laws love a roast, I'm often stuck with a russian roulette of vegetarian substitutes (usually a nut roast). However my partner emailed the restaurant a few days before asking if it would be possible to substitute the nut roast for some vegetarian sausages and they did it no problem whatsoever. I will definitely be back!

Wonderful restaurant. The food was fantastic and the staff enjoyed the banter with our party. Very reasonable prices for such good quality. We are returning tomorrow for dinner again.

Fine dining at its best! Cannot fault the food, as in its flavour and presentation, absolutely impeccable! We had 3 course's to include Pigeon, Hare, Duck and Beef followed by delicious deserts. The service was welcoming and friendly and the atmosphere relaxing and comfortable. We visited on a Saturday lunchtime and chose from the A La Carte lunchtime menu dining in the restaurant. I honestly have not a bad word or critism regarding the food or service, 200% Fabulous!!
