Fabulous Sunday lunch spot! They were unexpectedly extremely busy today but were so professional and helpful and worked very hard to give excellent customer service. Food as always was absolutely top notch! We love it here and will continue to return :)

Rhea and Claudia were our hostesses for our meal. They were attentive and efficient. We met up with friends as it’s a good halfway point and after a walk around Hindhead Common, it is great to go to a pub that serves good food and a good selection of beer including 0% beers. I would certainly come back here.

Don’t order a cocktail spicy margarita it’s £16.00 and it’s tiny it’s literally the size of an egg cup complete rip off! Do not bother

Food was great and very prompt Claudia on the bar was amazing. So pleasant and polite. She is due a promotion. Will defo come back again

You can see the effort going in to make this a success, the food was decent value for money and perfectly acceptable. Nothing special but okay. My major issue was the women’s toilets, photos provided to show how a damp cloth and cleaner should have been used more widely. The waitress also had a huge greasy stain and food splatters all over her shirt leaving a general feeling of grubbiness.

Met with a group of car club friends for a Sunday breakfast. We chose this location as easily accessible with scope for walks and local activities after. Welcomed by friendly staff and particular thanks to Lydia and Ruben who looked after us and managed our orders. Food from breakfast menu excellent and good value for money.

Friendly and accommodating staff. Tasty food and good with kids. Defo recommend before or after a walk at Devils punchbowl. Try it out!

Stopped for Sunday lunch, but disappointed. Had two beef roasts and a side of cauliflower cheese. Beef and roast potatoes were alright, but the vegetables were poor, just a small dish of red cabbage, green cabbage with few bits of kale and two tiny carrots (one each!). No broccoli, beans or parsnips in sight. Also the cauliflower cheese (£4 extra) was tiny, about 3 small florets to share. Cabbage is a cheap cop out for vegetables with a roast. Staff were polite, but slow. Won't be returning.

Very good pub food. Excellent location next to NT Devils punch bowl. Lunch for group of 10. Staff helpful though could have been more of them - they were very busy. Helpful and generous to allow us to bring a homemade birthday cake and provided knife and plates.

Disappointed 😟 Booked a table for me and my adult family of 7 . Spoke twice on the phone and was assured of a large round table. We arrived 1.15 and given a long table in the far corner of dining area . When order taken it included 3 portions of fish and chips. Ten minutes later told only two left. Then again later told only one left. !!! Took one hour to bring starters 🙄 . Saw two tables get up and leave as not prepared to wait for long delay in food arriving ! Obviously couldn’t cope with so many people for Sunday lunch. As I said , very disappointing. Won’t return on a Sunday 😥

We went with friends to try this restaurant out as I haven’t been there since the refurb and change of ownership. The food was amazing and the portions are very generous my friends fish and chips was more like Orca and chips the fish literally hung off the plate. The triple cooked chips were just perfect, soft inside and crispy with texture outside. I asked for a double portion of a starter for my main and the staff were happy to make that happen even though it wasn’t a menu option. Nice sympathetic decor and the bar area still feels like a pub looking forward to the summer when you can sit at the many tables outside. This is a lovely old pub in a great location I really hope it does well and I will be back.

Excellent food. Beautifully cooked fish. Good size portions. Very friendly service. Happy to recommend for a good value meal.

The food was excellent, the atmosphere was cosy on a very cold winter’s day. Sudeep is a really great service attentive and accommodating and very friendly! Highly recommend the fish and chips!!!

Have had several meals here, casual lunch and Christmas lunch (mid December). All meals were lovely. The staff are very welcoming and excellent service especially by a young waitress whose name we do not know. Very caring and attentive. Will be going for another lunch in the new year.

Such a delicious lunch and great service. The dining room has recently been refurbished and it was smart, cosy and comfortable. The food was exceptional. We shared Korean Fried chicken and Pork Belly Bao for starters. Both the chicken and the pork were perfectly cooked, tender and melt in the mouth. The coating on the chicken was spicy, sweet and sour and had just the right texture. The pork belly bao had a slice of fried apple and a lovely spicy mayo that worked perfectly. For mains we had the chicken and tarragon pie (as recommended by the lovely lady who served us). It was packed full of tender meat, the pasty was delicious and it was absolutely full of flavour. We also had more pork belly, this time with a colcannon mash and red cabbage. Again, melt in the mouth and utterly delicious. We also had the gammon sirloin which come with a fried egg and a piquant pineapple chutney. Delicious! I wish we would have had room for dessert! The location is just next to the Devils Punch Bowl car park and it has its own parking too. It was just perfect for an after walk lunch. They are also very dog friendly and brought water and treats for our pups. 100% would recommend!

Stunning refurbishment we stopped in for some lunch with the whole family. Service and food was excellent a really nice experience. We will be back very soon fully recommended!
