Upon check in, I requested a room in the ground floor because my companion is not able to go up the stairs and reception managed to move our room from 2nd floor to ground floor. Thank you! Our room was spacious, very clean and modernly designed. Breakfast is a buffet with lots of choices and food was delicious. Restaurant dining experience was also great with a bar next door. Staff are accommodating, friendly and hardworking. Very convenient with the wedding venue and reception which was decorated beautifully and only a minute walk away. Overall, it’s lovely place to stay and I highly recommend it.

My partner and I had an amazing experience at this location The room was exceptional - clean and very tidy with one the the best power showers I’ve ever been in The staff were lovely, helpful super efficient and so warm & friendly In the restaurant Ro & Vish served us the evening meal & breakfast with such outstanding service! The evening meal was extremely busy due to the week running up to the bank holiday but Ro could not do enough for us & explained everything fully & with a great attention to detail I recommend her to you unreservedly & if you want a 1st class experience this is the place to come!

It's a decent spa location for half a day. However the pool was on the cold side and the jacuzzi was the same temperature as the pool.

A wonderful, tranquil hotel. Stunning scenery all around the grounds. An ideal wedding venue, with access to many good-sized function rooms. Staff are very attentive, and faultless. We highly recommend this place. Spa and pool area very clean and well maintained.

My wife and I purchased a spa afternoon tea day on wowcher which was great value for money! Firstly the grounds are stunning and the location is fantastic, the afternoon tea was lovely and food was great quality! The staff were all very friendly and welcoming! The only downside and it stops me from giving it 5 stars is the cleanliness of the pool area (which I could forgive) but the biggest issue for me was ALL staff were wearing outdoor shoes in the pool area, there was even a maintence guy fixing the pool side shower with his outdoor boots and nobody cleaned up or mopped after his visit, I would highly suggest that they put in place shoe covers for all staff because it really unpleasant to be around. If you do visit and use the pool area bring your own flip flops! The changing room showers were also dirty in the basin and needed a clean, considering it wasn’t very busy the cleanliness and maintenance were to be desired! If the cleanliness improved around the poolside this would really take the experience up a level!

Our recent stay at Voco was nothing short of exceptional. Having frequented this charming establishment three times already in 2024, it feels like a home away from home. Upon booking the wedding showcase for a Sunday, we decided to extend our stay to the night before. To our delight, the staff graciously upgraded us to Room 501, situated in the historic Tudor section of the property, above the bustling restaurant below. The room itself was a haven of comfort, boasting a spacious living area complete with a cozy sofa and an additional TV—a thoughtful touch that elevated our experience. What truly sets Voco apart is its unwavering commitment to preserving the character of its centuries-old building while seamlessly integrating modern amenities. Every corner exudes charm, a testament to the meticulous efforts of the team behind its redevelopment & upkeep. During our previous stay, when we encountered a minor hiccup, the efficiency and professionalism of Zara and the entire team ensured that any concerns were swiftly addressed. Their exceptional communication skills and dedication to guest satisfaction left a lasting impression on us. It's no wonder we've developed a deep fondness for this establishment, with its warm ambiance and attentive staff. In fact, we're already envisioning exchanging vows amidst its timeless elegance in June 2025—a testament to the profound impact it has had on us. A heartfelt thank you to the entire team—from the bar and spa staff to the restaurant and breakfast teams—for their impeccable service and genuine hospitality. Our recent stay was truly memorable, and we eagerly anticipate our next visit to Voco.

Toilet was not flushing properly. No bar fridge. Room lacked hanging space and shelves . Telephone system not working. Reception staff poorly trained. Cold , un welcoming, pretentious , entitled and un caring. The Sycamore lounge was just simply rubbish, 2 dated leather chairs and a small square garden table. No warmth , coziness and lacking in ambiance for a room and space that has the potential of being quite lovely. The breakfast was lovely on every occasion through our 6 day stay. Dinner was poorly serviced by untrained staff . Well done to Amber who was doing what she could to work in the evening service with a lack of staff and their matching lack of experience. Long wait for drinks . Waiting staff simply just not knowing what to do or how to provide a dinner service. Main course being served whilst we were still eating our starters. Cutlery and crockery not being removed from the table. The food is well over priced for the mediocre quality being served. No Spa treatment slots were available for our entire 6 day stay. Terrible communication between Spa , hotel and guests . Highly un professional and both the Spa And hotel staff display zero accountability . The Spa area is dated , poorly maintained and managed by people who just simply are not up to the job. Our wellness break was stressful and this was caused by the very place and people working at the Hotel and Spa who’s jobs it is to make their guests stay stress free and relaxing . It felt as if the people working there just simply don’t care , even on checking out we were met with an impersonal display of not caring not even been asked about our stay Sadly, We are so disappointed in the Voco Lythe Hill Spa and Hotel ! Voco Lythe Hill Spa and Hotel you can and must do better.

We booked this hotel for New Year’s Eve party but found it quite difficult to get the staff to call us for queries and questions we had for the meal. There was much confusion when we booked and kept getting different information every time we called when the organizer wasn’t around! It became even more clear when we got there it was going to be a difficult tasks to get anything done, and for the money we paid I just wouldn’t do it again! The meal on New Year’s Eve was so disappointing, it came with no vegetables and so I was expected to eat fish with sauce that drowned the plate..nothing else on it!! Gross! No one around to help with luggage! Receptionist was quite lazy on the first day, and the room was tight with hardly room to move. When we mingled with other guests on the night we found we wasn’t the only one’s with a leaking ceiling, other guests had problems with showers and windows not closing! Water coming out of the ceiling lights for whatever reason and our toilet had a blockage as the flush didn’t really work that well! The hotel is quite nice but the staff running it haven’t got a clue, I wouldn’t go again not unless they step up their game!!!! The only thing I enjoyed was breakfast, buffet and you can order cooked, good choice on the menu and patisserie’s. We did have facial treatments, which was pleasant..we didn’t use the swimming pool, it was open to members and families and so was quite busy so we gave it a miss. The location is lovely and has restaurants that are nearby, or you can drive to the mulberry which is 5 mins in the car. Petworth is a drive away, nice old town to look around with Goodwood racecourse a bit further on. Goodwood do have a hotel and leisure centre which is absolutely fantastic, and very on the ball, this would be my first choice if I needed to stay overnight somewhere in the future, and definitely would for the horse racing.

I'm not sure what the cleaning contractors are paid for but the stench in the male toilets at Water Lane Sainsbury's is disgusting. How can such a well established establishment like this that serves and sells food get away with this poor standard of hygiene. It's not a one off either and seems to be a pattern noticed in Godalming Sainsbury's as well. Maybe you should get different cleaners Sainsbury's.
