The Hotplate Noshery in Belfast

La comida estaba bien. mi esposo y yo disfrutamos nuestra comida. El servicio no tanto. fue una espera muy larga en la comida y el personal no vio interesado en nosotros.

Compré la oferta de groupon para el cumpleaños de mi amigo, que consistía en una selección de entrantes, y luego 10 onzas de carne con salsa y lados para 2. Muy buena relación calidad-precio. El restaurante me pareció sería un poco más lujoso que esperaba. Es un pub de arriba, y parece un poco como un chippy schoolkids puede ir a en el almuerzo. Tuvimos que esperar 10 minutos para que una camarera llega, que parecía muy joven, la única razón por la que parecía era porque otro par estar cerca de nosotros nos llamó el restaurante. Entonces fue seguros de si podría incluso usar mi Groupon allí como reservé a través de Groupon y no llamar al restaurante directamente. Sin embargo, todo se arregló y la comida era de primera categoría, que es verdaderamente alto lo principal supongo! Recomiendo ir aquí para una agradable cena informal quizás antes de salir por la noche, ya que el pub de abajo era muy práctico! Sin duda no es un lugar para una cena romántica o elegante. Pero sin duda recomiendo el filete!

Fui con 3 amigos el sábado por la noche y estaba muy decepcionado con la comida era horrible. Mi consejo es que te acerques u no podrá comer creo que comprarlo en Islandia.

Absolutely awful!!!chicken wings bought across the road in iceland,steak was requested medium but was tough as old boots,would have complained when it arrived but staff seemed to be having a catchup with each other an family members. There was just my daughter an myself in the restaurant with 6 staff/family members an not once were we asked how our meal was,Strawberry dacquiri had ice cubes at the bottom.Horrible place!!

Went here on a Groupon with my cousin. Two 20oz rump steaks, 3 sides & a soft drink. Some Groupon merchants don't seem to get or fulfil the concept, not here! Great food, fantastic portions & all served with a smile 😊 It's a little off the beaten track for Belfast's main restaurants, but it was well worth it. They do great offers & it's very comfortable easy eating, With the addition of the bar downstairs, any drinks & cocktails are available. Check them out & give them a try, you will not be disappointed 😋

We called in here for something to eat and on our way upstairs could not help but notice just how dirty and sticky the stairs were..as well as the walls. However, in a hopeful and optimistic mood we continued on up to the restaurant ...after seeing it we realised we should have just turned on our heels and left!! The place was deserted and we waited 15 mins for a waitress to arrive which only happened after one of our group went downstairs to the pub area which apparently reeked of urine!! Yuck!! This is directly underneath the restaurant btw!! The chairs were filthy and covered in stains and the whole place just looked really dirty, extremely uncared for and not the kind of restaurant that engenders any sense of confidence that you are going to have a decent meal. In fact, I have to be truthful and say that we became very worried about the possibility of one or more of us getting sick because one of our group had got food poisoning in another restaurant from an undercooked burger and after we saw the 'scores on the doors' were a measly 2 out of 5 that made our minds up!! Those scores reflect the overall calibre of any eating establishment - the hygiene, how and where the food is stored, prepared and cooked etc - and you simply cannot afford to ignore a score as low as 2!!! We will NEVER be back based on our brief 15/20 minute wait - which turned out to be a blessing in disguise as it gave us enough time to absorb our surroundings, rather than place a food order which could have turned out to be a disaster if what we witnessed was anything to by. This place either needs to have a VERY deep clean and a change of attitude ..or just close down because a score of 2 out of 5 is unacceptable.

We went here for my birthday just myself and my partner from a groupon deal we got for 2 20oz steaks and all the trimmings, the food was very good and portions where very good indeed, the place was empty so we got served straight away, the only downfall was the noise from a crowd of drunken women in the bar downstairs as it was all open so a bit of music or something upstairs to drown them out would have been good but would defo give this place a 2nd visit

Got the groupon deal. 2 starters, 2 10oz ribeye steaks, sides and sauces for 27 pound. We both had wings to start. 1 with jack Daniels sauce and the other with peri peri sauce. The peri peri sauce was extremely hot which is fine if you like hot sauces. The wings themselves were extremely similar to the ones you pick up in Iceland that are covered in breadcrumbs and deep fried. They themselves were not the nicest. The steaks we ordered medium rare and came out a little over cooked which we could have got over but the meat was so tough it was very hard to chew ( and swallow). Personally I tried but couldn't eat much. 3 quarters of steak were left. Other half powered through as they were starving. The chips were ok. They were standard Frozen chips. The waitress on at the time was quick and got everything for us in record time. We also got a bottle of water and the rubber seal on it looked like it hadn't been washed in some time- it was a bit black when it should have been white. Will not be eating here again. Also just to note we paid 27 pound on groupon and we could of got it all on a Sunday for 20 pound in the restaurant.

Ate here so many times but todays food was accompanied by ooh aah up the raa from downstairs. Actually couldn't believe it. We also had drunks singing up the hoods and up the ra. Not really the image of a friendly restaurant where all are welcomed. Sadly wont be back. Possibly time to change the tracks in your jukebox before you lose more good customers. Lovely waitress had to go downstairs and ask the barstaff to put a stop to it. It didn't but hey. Wont happen to us again. So if your happy with pro IRA songs whilst eating come along. Ps tell the singers... the war is over

So...Went in with a Groupon.. burgers, fries and a can. Relaxed service area above the pub. Chips were great but the burgers were underwhelming with questionable taste to the burgers.

Ran, quite literally, from the Ibis over the road to this little gem in the pouring rain. Friendly service, great American diner style food at great prices. Only downside was the local radio station through the speakers, music was good albeit a wee bit too loud. Bar downstairs was a it basic but ok.

I recently visited the Hotplate Noshery with my family and the service was terrible. We waited 10 minutes for our orders to be taken, and it took an age for them to arrive - another 10-15 minutes for our drinks, and nearly an hour from when we arrived for our food, which should not have taken long at all. When it did arrive, we enjoyed our meal, but the time it took was unreal. To top it off, the waitress said that, because there was no manager, we couldn't get any compensation off our bill. A shambles all around.

Can’t praise this restaurant enough and wish I could have taken it home with me. In 4 short days my mum and I became regulars – the food was outstanding! Everything we had tasted amazing and this place became the highlight of our trip to Belfast.

Myself and my girlfriend have just been to the hotplate noshery we both had a beautiful burger with chips, I couldn't fault it at all, we will be back that's for sure

Stayed at the ibis across the road from it and thought why not. It was raining didn't have to walk menu looked ok. Went in upstairs. Looked ok. Asked if they were serving, after a short wait we were given a menu and told the waitress was just moving her car, I was like "that's ok we are just in I was just checking to see you are still serving". 2 mins later she was back, she didn't rush in and gave us time to decide, we placed our order including drinks, didn't wait long for the drinks and the food was 5 mins at the back of the drinks. I honestly can't fault the place. I even mistakenly underpaid and the waitress was so polite and understanding (appart from me feeling like an idiot....lol) we both had a bit of a laugh about it. I would really recommend this place.... Well done The Hotplate......

I have been here 3 times and the service has been soooo bad every time! The food is decent and decently priced but Between the unprofessional welcome and having to chase the waiter for any orders (drink orders mostly) and then none of the drinks...

Very friendly relaxed service and the ribs are to die for. Done slow and perfectly in the pizza oven. Steak was cooked to perfection. Will deffo be back.
