Starbucks in Belfast

Drinks were pretty below average. The hot chocolate was sickly sweet and the flavoured lattes tasted like lukewarm milk. Mostly the staff were quite pleasant, but on several occasions now we have witnessed very unpleasant behaviour from one of the staff/managers. This has been to customers but also to fellow staff and it made us quite uncomfortable.

See one and you have seen them all. Perfectly fine, nice staff and pleasant location. Would rather visit a small independent coffee shop.

I ordered a decaf coffee here (as I'm pregnant and can't have too much caffeine) . Unlike other times I've ordered the same and been handed a 'decaf americano'. The girl who made it, said 'americano'. I queried if it was decaf and was completely unsatisfied with the answer 'ummmm...errrr....i think... yeah??' before she turned away before I could tell her why I needed to know. According to the website, the caffeine in a normal americano is 225mg. A lot more than a pregnant woman can have in ONE DAY. The girl didn't know what drink she made. She should have been sure or made another one. Disgusted.

Am alright selection of drinks but some of the options weren't clear. Upstairs wasn't open for some reason so it was very busy downstairs. Drink was fine

Location, vibe, cleanliness, helpful staff with of course great coffee. I think this has to be my favourite Starbucks on the British Isles. In the heart of Botanic/ University area of Belfast it feels a million miles away from the more frenetic city centre. More akin to Glasgow’s west end. Upstairs is bright with large glass doors onto a balcony overlooking Botanic Avenue. A very relaxing spot to sit enjoying your coffee as the world drifts slowly by

Good coffee in this Starbucks, friendly staff and a clean welcoming establishment. Looks great to spend a while here with a drink and kill some time. Would return again.

Starbucks popular for its American roots....... I brought my daughter because this is what she considers a treat but you know I much prefer the hospitality of that local little coffee shop where the owner puts in all the hours to keep it afloat and I know I'm contributing to their childs after school activities. Big chains don't appeal to me, they over charge and there is simply no personal touch, they only ask your name to write it on a cup but certainly would not remember it 10 minutes later. Next time you run into that trendy chain, think of that lovely little café 3 doors down and choose the one best for you!
