Dirt Bird in Belfast

Ordered a burger, chicken wings and kids meal. The price is not worth the food. I think the oil they use to fry the fries wasn't changed as the one they served has small solid bits and pieces. Its like the one they use to fry their chicken and fries are the same oil and deepfryer. The Burger is too expensive and comparing to McDonald burger I would rather buy the one with McDonalds taste wise. Would not want to go back again and would not recommend.

Absolutely unreal spot in Belfast. Have had burgers a couple of times from here, but decided for a late lunch I’d have the corn on the cob, fries and the honey BBQ wings. So good! Cooked to perfection. Such an underrated spot on the ormeau road.

Called in on the way home from work. Got a portion of chicken tenders and piri piri fries. Chicken was cooked to perfection and the fries were delightfull. Would definately reccomend a visit to the Dirt Bird.

My husband and I have heard great things about the food here so we decided to give it a go. Ha e to say we definitely where not disappointed. We got 2 vegan burgers and vegan chips. It was outstanding, extremely tasty, and no sign of grease on the chips. Would I recommend this place 100%

In the midst of a fitness plan and decided to have ‘a cheat meal’ no better place than The Dirt Bird 🐦 loved it! I had the chicken burger and husband had the beef burger and salsa fries with strawberry milkshake ❤️❤️❤️❤️ I would highly recommend if you want a tasty treat... we will be back

Immeasurably excited to go for a early night munch last weekend. Menu looked great, a load of filthy food to look forward to. Went for the half rib stack. Salsa fries. Signature Dirt Bird chicken burger. Oh my word they were diabolical. Dry, tasteless, unloved. The ribs were so hard they broke the cutlery we were given. We were not checked on when staff were wandering around front of house stocking fridges, and cleaning, etc. So had the moody endeavour of physically sending food back to the counter. Staff were annoyed at the temerity of sending bad food back. Seemed put out, (we were one of two tables in the place at this point) were sent another dry, bad chicken burger, weren't checked on again, ignored when we left the restaurant. Woeful experience. Top tip. Pay for the food. Don't complain, whatever you do. We will not be back.

Was recommended this place by family and it did not disappoint. Fast food service, friendly staff, delicious food and reasonably priced. Would highly recommend and we will definitely be back.

I am a regular to this place. The staff always go above and beyond to make sure i am happy :) The food is absolutely incredible and it is a great addition to the Ormeau Road. - Carl

Visited here first time this evening. Nice spot, chilled, cosy, up-to-date decor......friendly staff member - so far so good! Ordered the butterfly breasts of chicken, sweet potatoes fries....partner ordered the chicken thighs, Caesar salad and some drinks - £19 seemed reasonable?! All yummy - particularly the salad! Totally recommend - will be back again soon 👍🏻👍🏻

Visited with my boyfriend and loved it Buffalo hot wings are amazing not too spicy and perfect amount of sauce BBQ hot wings also very good. (Definitely need a lot of napkins) Would highly recommend the Oreo milkshake Will definitely be back as the food is amazing, restaurant looks great and overall great value for money! :)

Ordered food from here when it only opened and really enjoyed the food. Decided to order tonight and really not impressed, ask the worker on the phone what was on the wrap he told me lettuce, onion, cucumber sauce etc... it came with tomatoes and he got the order wrong which meant I had to pick all the salad from my wrap. This I wouldn’t normally care about it’s easily done but the worker obviously doesn’t know what comes on the wraps. Also ordered peri peri chips which were weird, tasted like paprika chips. Deffo not peri peri. Don’t feel like the prices reflect the quality of food especially when competitors are the same price with better food standards.

Was in Belfast and ventured out to Dirty Bird on the recommendation of a bar tender. We got there and was not sure what to order as there was so much to choose from. In the end our eyes were bigger than our bellies and we got a sharing platter which had a burger and fries each, half a rack of ribs, 6x wings each & 2litre bottle of fizzy drink to share. This all came to £12 each (great value for money). The food was exceptional however after the burger and fries we was completely full so took the rest to go. If you get a chance definitely visit as there are so many options as to what you can get with variants and different flavours available

We've been twice since we found the dirt bird and have enjoyed it immensely. The rotisserie chicken with the spicy peri peri was excellent. The fries were very crispy and tasty. The kids both enjoyed their meals and on the second visit my son ended up getting half a chicken to himself as he ate most of mine on our previous visit. The staff were very friendly and let us swap out the fries for mash on one of the kids meals. Their chicken gravy is pure yum and makes the world a better place by being in it. KFC is out the window in our house now that the kids know about dirt bird.

Went here with a group of friends as we thought we would try something new. On first impressions it was quirky and we were excited to try the food. Placed and order and the staff were friendly and happy to help decide. Sat down and agree with the other reviews there’s not enough ventilation in the building so prepare to leave smelling like you’ve cooked the meal yourself. Food arrived, worst chicken wings I have ever had in any restaurant, there was little to no meat on each wing and they were over cooked. The burger arrived and was bland at best, one of our party bit into the burger and it was pink in the middle. This was brought to the staffs attention who didn’t apologise but simply said they’d look at it and bring another burger. Another burger was brought and the staff just said the first wasn’t under cooked but the pink was a very large vein within the breast. In short, disappointed and won’t be returning

Went here in a crowd last week. First off, inadequate ventilation in the seating area so be prepared to smell like a dirt bird for the rest of the day. Others who had thighs and wings seemed happy with their meal but my half chicken...

I am coeliac and went here for food one night. Allergens are clearly marked on the menu and staff reassured us that those marked gf are cooked separately from other things. The sweet potato fries and mash are some of the best I’ve ever had....

I have now been here 4-5 times for takeaway food. Probably not the healthiest of choices but the tastes are superb. Definitively recommend for a tasty Friday night takeaway. Service is a bit slow but the place is new and staff are very friendly

called in yesterday early evening. Ordered the veggie burger with a slice of grilled haloumi with a portion of dirty fries. Only had to wait 10 minutes for the order to be served. Very good indeed.

There's another restaurant in Belfast which specialises in chicken. This one kicks its ass. The bbq charcoal on the chicken is superb. Had piri piri whole chicken, bbq chicken wings, and dirty fries with chicken gravy. All superb. Though would have loved the wings to...

If you like chicken this is the place. Absolutely delicious, we had a variety of meals from the menu, everyone of them was very very tasty. Will be making regular visits to Dirt Bird. They also have a carry out section.
