The food was a bit slow. And the taste is just ok. Wouldn’t recommend the nachos.

Good place to eat, I was sick and that's why I didn't take any photos of the food, but everything we ate was delicious and well prepared; The service took a little while, but it was worth it.

Dined here recently and I have to say this has to be up there with the best food and cocktails I’ve had, the place is present staff are amazing and I wouldn’t hesitate on coming here again.

Me and my two friends went here on Thursday, the guy who served us called Rory went out of his way for us. It’s hard enough working in hospitality so we really appreciated his friendliness & the free milkshakes made our day, thanks Rory chick

I ordered a chicken caesar salad for dinner and I must say the chicken was well seasoned and had a crispy crunch. The ingredients in the salad were all fresh and delicious. My friend also got a chicken burger with bacon chips and he said it was quite good. Overall it was a good experience where the staff were accommodating and the atmosphere was nice. My only criticism would be that the food did take a while to prepare which was over 40 mins despite 3/4 of the restaurants capacity being empty. However it was worth the wait.

Good prices, great food and drinks. Got the chicken Caesar salad and cotton candy drink. 10/10

What a shame, the food here was NOT GOOD! Service was just as bad, management and staff are just not friendly; I would not recommend this place! How everyone in Belfast with a bad personality wised up employed here 😔

My burger was absolutely delicious I might even go as far as to say top 5 best burgers I have ever eaten, unfortunately what put the score down was the insulting portion of chips that was provided and the price that they charge for them. The milkshakes were sublime so all and all I great experience and I would definitely recommend to friends.

Waited at the door for around 10 minutes to be seated, once seated it took about 10 minutes to be served due to be placed in a hidden spot behind the bar, we both had chicken burgers and found the chicken to be dry, garlic chips were nice never had them before, expensive for what you get, you buy the burger separately and then have to add on fries etc. the burgers start at £9 on there own?? Saw quite a few people leaving most of the food and walking out.

I was genuinely excited to dine at this venue as the photos look great and the menu descriptions were mouth water, but, don't let that trick you! Whilst the food was good to look at, it was actually rather bland! I was extremely disappointed! Drinks service was completely inadequate and the food service wasn't far behind hit. I felt that an extra member of staff on the bar and one more on food was definitely required.

Really nice food for a fair price!

We have ordered the pizza and burgers and they were great. Flavors that we had not seen in other restaurants and we were surprised by the quality of the ingredients. The food took a while to be served but it was worth it.

Went in with my daughter for a few birthday drinks but it seems you have to eat to be served alcohol. We had already ate but didn't want to find somewhere else so just ordered chicken goujons, they were alright. Waiting for a server to come to your table is very slow although it is a busy place. The cocktails were delicious but again slow to come to table. I would go again though maybe for food as the meals I saw coming out looked good.

Great potential but slow service on a not particularly busy Sunday and cold food. I saw my burger sat under the heat lamp a whole 10 minutes before we were served it. No one came to checkup on us or give us the bill. We had to get up to pay a while after finishing.

the atmosphere was super nice and a really friendly team , only shame was the food was clearly left under the heat lamp far too long , my boyfriends burger was lukewarm when it arrived and my rice bowl was dry around the edges . we could tell it would’ve been amazing had it come out when it was ready but just a shame it was left so long :(

The best restaurant of my life Being vegan the pizza was wonderful I highly recommended it. A very large card that adapts to everyone's desires. One meal was not enough for me, I very, very highly recommended!!!

Absolutely amazing, especially the young lady I believe she was called Grace, our taxi couldn’t find us so Grace walked us to the pick up point. An absolute diamond and a credit to the company. Food was bloody banging for the price (also halal beef so big up for that)

Waited 45 mins for our order to be taken. A further 15 mins for drinks to be brought down. Food wasn't really warm when served. A few people actually walked out. Manager was sarky

The food was good, milkshakes were another level, staff were lovely, only downside is that the music was way to loud and had to shout across the table to the people I came with. Id recommend getting an extra serving of the sauce your burger has because they don't put much on.

They doubled charged us for multiple items that they messed up when ordering. This was despite them saying that they would take them off the bill. Overall staff was confrontational.

Just landed in Belfast and needed food. City Picnic was such a find. The chorizo bhaji were unbelievable, tangy and hot. My burger was really nice. Recommended.

Very slow to service had to ask repeatedly to get served after waiting at least 10 minutes with no staff coming near me. Food was decidedly average, edible but lacking in anything to make it stand out. Why waste your money on below average food.

Nachos were okay but none of the flavours went together, in that the toppings were dumped on different parts of the nachos. Also a large piece of pure fat in almost it all. Won't go back again.

Some of the best gluten free food I’ve been had! Almost all the menu is GF/able to do gluten free. So delicious and great service and atmosphere.

Staff messed up our order and were very unhelpful. They served our food late and we had to ask 5 times for the cutlery. I was with a group and split payment is not an option here. They never gave us the bill, just charged on the table. After paying, I demanded the bill and we were overcharged. I would not recommend.

Excellent meal ! Had the hot chicken burger with Cajun fries alongside a salted caramel milkshake- can't reccomend enough. The manager was on the floor helping with tables and I got to chat with him, solid fella ! Go give 'em a try !

Great food and great staff such a friendly bunch

Absolutely don't recommend going here. As a tourist I wasn't aware they can't serve only alcohol and have to serve it with a meal. We wanted to get started with a drink and then slowly order more snacks. We got told very rudely that they would allow us to stay for now but we'd have to leave within half an hour. So we did. Only an extra star because the cocktails we had were nice.

Dined in today and from the food to the vibes to the service everything was absolutely immaculate! Had a tough day at work but the meal I had at City Picnic made everything better. Was served by a lovely waitress named Grace who recommended the brisket rice bowl and it was absolutely stunning! Service was phenomenal, both my cocktail and food were served incredibly quickly and every bit of it was amazing! Couldn’t recommend this place enough and thank you especially to Grace for her excellent recommendations and friendly service!

It's a place I'd seen before but had never tried it until now. The menu is well varied. The staff are amazing as was the food. The music was upbeat and uplifting. All round much better than expected and we will be back

I had the most amazing experience here at this restaurant on Monday the 29th of April. Me and some friends were served by Grace and I have to say it was the most amazing and outstanding service I have ever had. She was the kindest most hardworking server I’ve ever seen in a restaurant. The drinks made for us were so brilliant. Thanks to Grace and the amazing drinks we got City Picnic is now our go to place for a night out. I love this place ⭐️⭐️

I am very disappointed with the owners of this place. They appear to be so greedy. They steal staff's tips. My daughter worked here for 7 months. She was trying to save for uni. She was constantly ignored by management everytime she asked for her tips. She wrote to the owner about it, he saw and left the chat without answering. Once they realised she was looking elswhere she was not given another shift. Staff is overworked too, always short staffed. I just hope it's a better place now. I remember the excitement in her eyes when she started.

Went here 2 days in a row, just as good the second time. Cocktails were incredible, food was great and vibes were excellent. Carter was a bloody legend!

We have been in here a few times and Ryan the waiter has always been outstanding. His service is amazing and we love coming back to this spot for grub and a few pints.

Food was not good, tasteless and dry, burger came with two chicken breasts pilled so high the little stick used to prop up burger just fell over, silly presentation and then bland taste, My wife got beef burger, same story dry and tasteless, we shared nachos with pulled pork, again not good and cheap taste , I got a milkshake but that was lovely actually, staff uninterested I would say, place was packed though but the menu reads well I think so that is probably why, shame food does not match. Would not recommend.

Very delicious food and good service. They have gluten-free food. I was scared because when they brought me the hamburger it looked too good. In fact I had to ask the waitress if it was indeed all gluten free, and it was. Everything suited me so I went back to eat there again. Everything is very rich. Eating there was good. It is a very nice place, good music and atmosphere. You can order takeout too. Very good treatment, everyone very nice and attentive. Fast service. Recommended.

This place is most likely the worst burger experience and meal I’ve ever had in Belfast. As I ordered my meal (Cheese & onion burger with Messed up fries, as it says on the menu). The server took my order and told me it would not take longer than 15 minutes. The meal took approximately more than 40 minutes. When I received the meal it looked hideous, the meat was all over the place, the menu said crispy onions and the burger had literally a single crispy onion with the onion separated from the crisp, as well it had barely cheese. For the fries, the menu said cheese and bacon fries and I received a few sparkles of grated cheese 5 little pieces of bacon. The menu called this messed up fries but it was more like a messed up meal. (Probably should’ve had a hint on the name). The worst place for this kind of meals in Belfast.

i live a bit outside Belfast so was worried the food would arrive cold- but it was still warm when it arrived!! and the food was delicious 🤤

It was possibly the worst dining experience I have ever had. The waitresses were very kind however the one waiter with tattoos and a gold chain was one of the absolute rudest people I have ever met. He was hostile the entire time and talked down to me like I was a child. The food tasted like prison food, I don’t think a single grain of salt nor any other seasoning was used to make their chicken burger and fries. Would highly advise anyone to avoid this place.

The staff here are awesome, so is the food. The Brisket Pizza and The classic chicken burger are tremendous, and delicious!! Prices are in line with quality.

We throughly enjoyed our meal at city picnic and the customer service we received from carter was absolutely amazing and made our stay so much more enjoyable

Carter made sure to make us feel welcome and got our food to us really quickly. We had some dietary requirements and it was all made without fuss! Really appreciated the craic and so glad the pizza is back!!

On Saturday 11th February we arranged to meet my brother in the city centre for lunch. The agreed meeting place was "City Picnic". As we approached the restaurant my brother was waiting for us outside, clearly very distressed. He had arrived 10 minutes before us, had entered the premises and was told, by a member of staff to leave......because he was "dirty". (My brother was dressed smartly in a suit for the happy reunion with my wife, myself and two others.) I have never, ever known anywhere of such discourteous, ill-mannered, nasty behaviour from any business, let alone the "hospitality trade". I've owned and run my own restaurant, in the Isle of Man, for many years. I'm familiar with every aspect of working with and serving the general public. The attitude of City Picnic, towards customers, is seriously beneath contempt. Furthermore my wife contacted this establishment via social media to ask why her brother in law was so badly treated. She has received no reply. Fortunately we were able to find another venue for our lunch that was most welcoming. Avoid this nasty, intolerant place.

I go here a lot and the servers are always very friendly and attentive, it makes the place feel very friendly and the food is great too, the pizza and garlic fries are amazing. The servers however are the highlight which is very impressive seeing as the food is amazing so i definitely recomend going there.

Service was very quick and food was absolutely delicious. my friend is coeliac and we were stunned at the range and quality of the gluten free options. staff were so incredibly friendly and welcoming and the atmosphere and music were a hit with us! definitely a spot to visit if in belfast city centre we will definitely be back
